We had my mom's 80th birthday in the Moonlight Grove room. It was so beautiful! The big tent offers beautiful draping and chandelier lights. The team at Chardonnay were amazing! In particular, Amanda!! She was on top of everything and made wishes come through. Her communication and follow up made me at ease to know that everything was going to turn out perfectly. My mom was thrilled and all her/our guests were over the moon about all the details and location itself. Also heard comments about the convenience of the venue being right off of the freeway. Thank you (especially you Amanda) for making this a special day for my mom!! read more

Overall, our wedding was beautiful, and I want to start by saying that Irene, our wedding coordinator, did a great job with what she was given. The Fairview staff was also very kind and pleasant throughout our event. My intention in leaving this review is not to bash Irene or place all of the blame on her. My concern is with Fairview and the way their staff was allocated on such an important day. We paid for the experience of having Irene as our dedicated wedding coordinator, but unfortunately, we did not feel that we received her full service because she was being spread far too thin between our wedding and a quinceañera taking place at the same time. We were told that the coordinator who was supposed to oversee the quinceañera went on leave just two days before our wedding. As a result, Irene was being pulled in multiple directions throughout the day. She did the best she could under the circumstances, but inevitably, things fell through the cracks. During cocktail hour, there were not enough plates available for our guests, and there was only one bartender. Several things we had specifically planned for our guests were also never properly communicated. There was no announcement regarding our honeymoon fund, guestbook activities, or the photo-sharing activities we had set up. After our ceremony, no one announced that our close family members needed to stay behind for photographs. The officiant, DJ, photographer, and coordinator all missed this. While I am not placing this specifically on Irene, I do feel that once it became apparent that the announcement had not been made, someone coordinating the event should have stepped in and addressed it. My husband never received the boutonniere that we had paid for. So he had to resort to an artificial boutonniere that our groomsmen used. I had come to find out that it had been left on Irene's desk and unfortunately never made it to him. Transportation was another source of stress. There were not enough golf carts available to transport our elderly loved ones to cocktail hour while also accommodating our wedding photos. We ended up waiting approximately 10-15 minutes for a golf cart/staff so that we could take pictures in the vineyards. Because we only had about a 30-minute window before sunset, losing that amount of time was extremely anxiety-provoking on a day when every minute mattered. There were also smaller issues that added up. I had requested a different type of liquor for my signature cocktail, but that change was not made. I also specifically asked the Fairview staff to save a piece of our wedding cake for my husband and me, but unfortunately, all of the cake was served to our guests and none was saved for us. Additionally, the friend who made our wedding cake left her cake-cutting tools and a container at the venue to be picked up the following morning. When she returned, the cake-cutting utensils were missing. Those items were worth about $100, which was very disappointing. Again, I want to emphasize that this review is not meant to attack Irene. She was kind, worked hard, and did the best she could while being pulled in multiple directions. My concern is with Fairview's management and staffing decisions. When couples pay for a dedicated wedding coordinator and full-service experience, that coordinator should be able to focus on their wedding rather than simultaneously having to manage problems from another event. Our wedding was still a beautiful night, and we are grateful for the kindness of the Fairview staff. However, communication and staffing fell short in several important areas. I hope Fairview's management takes this feedback seriously--not only for us, but for future couples--because clients should receive the level of service they are paying for, and coordinators like Irene should be given the staffing and support necessary to provide it. read more

We have attempted to have a meeting with Fairview Chardonnay for over three weeks to address our concerns before leaving this review, however, our request for a meeting has not been granted. Instead, I will share the email that we sent to the team after they solicited reviews from us post-wedding: "I hope this message finds you well. Before completing the survey that was sent to us, we would like to address some of the concerns we and other patrons witnessed and experienced on our wedding day. This letter is to give you an opportunity to reply before we escalate the issue further. I am writing to formally share feedback and concerns regarding our wedding held at Chardonnay Golf Club on October 4th, and to request financial restitution for the numerous issues that occurred before and during the event. We entered into our agreement with your venue in good faith, based on your promises of professionalism and attention to detail -- especially as part of the Elite Package we selected. Unfortunately, what we and our guests experienced fell significantly short of the service and standards we were guaranteed. Key Issues: Incomplete Setup Upon Guest Arrival: The ceremony and reception areas were not fully decorated or arranged when guests began arriving. The drapes on the arch were not placed as requested, reception tables were not set, and key décor was missing throughout the ceremony space, cocktail area, and reception tent. Multiple members of our wedding party -- including the photographer, usher, and matron of honor -- had to actively direct or assist with the setup to avoid further delays and disruptions. Guests, upon arriving at the venue, were redirected to the golf club bar. This led to confusion and guests wandering the premises unsure of where to go, and at one point attempting to enter the bridal suite, where the bride was hiding. Staff Coordination & Communication Failures: Our photographer was made uncomfortable by venue staff when she tried to assist in arranging table décor for pre-event photos. They were mocking her and laughing at her. I was unable to reach anyone for the promised golf cart shuttle from the bridal suite to the groom's suite -- calls and texts went unanswered. Upon arrival, my bridal party and I could not locate our bouquets. Décor from another wedding was left in the guest bathroom, detracting from the overall experience. Catering & Beverage Service Issues: The dinner buffet was not ready by the agreed-upon time (7:00 p.m.), causing a noticeable delay and leaving guests waiting awkwardly at their tables after the toasts. The bar ran out of water, and I was told soda water was the only available option -- which I declined. No one offered to restock or replenish the water station. Multiple guests brought up the fact that there was no water on premises after the water dispenser was empty. Guests asked, "did you do something to piss of the bar staff?" and made comments such as, "the bar staff seems miserable to be here." This is not the level of service we expected on our wedding day. Despite repeated planning discussions and written communication, my matron of honor was served a vegetarian meal instead of a gluten-free one. Multiple family members and eventually I had to speak to staff directly to ensure she received a proper meal -- something that should never have been an issue on the wedding day. From the very initial meeting with the coordinators and every meeting afterwards, I specifically brought up the gluten allergy. Each time I was told they would "talk to chef." I made it very clear that my sister having peace of mind about the meal was a crucial factor in my wedding day experience. Package Inclusions Not Delivered: Yard games (cornhole, putting green) included in the Elite Package were never set out for cocktail hour, despite having been discussed and confirmed in multiple meetings. My partner and I were never served a shared plate of the pasta and potato salad, which was another detail discussed in our meal planning. Reception & Post-Event Issues: Cake cutting was poorly executed and appeared sloppy -- several guests even remarked that the slices looked half-eaten. The welcome table was left outside; guests and family had to bring it into the tent themselves. Guests and family also had to take down and box decor at the end of the night, with little to no support from venue staff. The top tier of our wedding cake was not offered or given to us. I had to search the kitchen myself at the end of the evening to retrieve it. Each of these points -- in isolation -- may seem like a misstep. Taken together, they reflect a serious breakdown in service and communication. As paying clients who selected a premium package and clearly communicated expectations in every planning meeting, we are incredibly disappointed in how things were handled. read more

In need of a wedding venue for your special occasion? Look no further! Lea (Director of Wedding and Events) and her team are AMAZING! Lea was truly an angel-sent throughout the entire process. I'm not kidding -- from our initial phone call, to meeting her and seeing the venue, and until the end of our wedding, Lea was genuine, kind, and has the can-do attitude. My husband and I couldn't have imagined a better wedding. Lea and her team has such a positive energy and that's exactly what you need especially when planning a wedding. I celebrated my graduation party at Fairview Chardonnay and the overall process went very smoothly! I was able to meet with the director to go over my event details and go through how the space will be set up for my event. I greatly appreciated how they were very accommodating and supportive with any last-minute ideas and changes as well. The preparation, setup, cleanup, and overall help they provided throughout the event made it very organized and seamless. Their attention to detail and openness to my ideas and vision really helped bring my ideas to life and made it both a memorable experience and event! The event space is very elegant and well-maintained with more than enough parking for guests and a beautiful view of the golf course. I received many compliments from my guests regarding how much they loved the venue! Would recommend looking into this venue for graduation parties, weddings, birthdays, and any other special events! read more
