Wanted to support but they were a no-show at the appointment time that we had set up. I drove 1/2 an hour to meet the owner. No owner. I texted on the way over, texted again. Texted several more times when I got there. Waited around and texted some more. Finally, they texted me back after I was long gone. I had already reserved glasses, chairs, tables, and linens to rent with this company and wanted to look over the wine glasses to make sure they were nice. The owner or whoever never showed up. According the to the hours posted, they were supposed to be open but no one was there. Luckily I called 4 Seasons Party Rentals and he was able to see me right away and did a great job for our 16-person lunch that raised $125,000. DO NOT use this business for party rentals. at almost $8,000 per person raised, it's not worth taking any chances. We need these donors and these donors need tables and chairs to actually show up. They could have completely ruined this important events. If you can't trust them to show up to a meeting, how can you trust them with your special event. read more

As the PR and lead decorator on a event that was hosted here I have to be and say the person that was there managing the space really came through With last minute things needed. With the lack of communication from the client I definitely appreciated the effort when we were in the fire of getting ready. The client was also not the most professional woman, but This experience inside this establishment was not professional at all. Cursing, Men flirting with you and continously being invasive, the whole nine. I personally would not use this space to rent or hold a professional or important occasion, but I did at least try to reach out and Use the rental service to support them as a black business. I don't have to use the space to support them with events outside of their location. But ... My order was taken and I was supposed to be emailed a quote for the items. I am so thankful for Myra and her husband! I called Elegant Events on a Friday night looking for tables and chairs for my sister's birthday that weekend (very, very last minute planning). Myra had to prepare for an event the next day but she still made time to meet with us to discuss our needs. Not only did she give us a package discount for the rental, she added in a few well-thought centerpieces as well. On the day of the event, it just happened that we needed one more linen to cover our table. Her husband was very gracious enough to drive back and get us one. Myra was wonderful to work with! She did an amazing job for my wedding on March 2, 2013. I'm so grateful that I found her. I wanted to find a wedding coordinator to help me plan my wedding. What made the planning fun and unique was that I had a theme in mind. I picked Muir Woods Clubhouse in Mill Valley and I wanted an "enchanted forest theme". I wanted to incorporate butterflies and lanterns and make my guests feel like they were a part of something unique. Myra was wonderful and helped me plan every step of the way. She helped me with my bridal shower and went over every detail of the wedding. I don't think I could have done it without her help. She helped with the pre-event planning including decorations, working with our caterer, helping put together the flower bouquets and even helped us find transportation for our guests so they could get to the wedding site. On the day of our wedding, she did a magnificent job decorating. I was literally blown away at how she transformed the space and created the "enchanted forest theme." We received many compliments from our guests and they loved the decorations. She decorated the tables and chairs with sashes, customized center pieces for the tables and did a beautiful job decorating the ceremony. She coordinated everything flawlessly, all of our vendors knew what to expect and where to go. Since the wedding site was secluded, we brought in the food, drinks and decorations. We had an Irish/Celtic band play, we had a cake delivered, a chef come on site to cook and transportation for our guests. Everything went so smooth and I felt stress free on my wedding day. I hired her for my daughters 18th debutante party. She was very professional and tasteful when giving advice through the planning process. Myra was very respectful to my budget and advised accordingly. My daughter chose a Masquerade theme. It turned out Beautiful. She has very competitive and reasonable rental rates. Everything turned out beautiful. Myra even helped me out with hiring wait staff as well. This was helpful as it would have been very nerve racking worrying about the plate ware and silverware for return. She saw everything to the end. I would recommend them to anyone having a party big or small they can make it elegant on a budget. I am definitely using them for my other daughters' Debut when the time comes. There were only a few minor hitches. Nothing that warranted a downgrade in rating. This would not be an honest or helpful review if I didn't include it. There was an underestimation of prep time. Nothing that could have been avoided at that point. I paid the hall for 3 hrs prior to the party for preparations, but the set up crew really needed 4 maybe 5. I called the phone number listed on their website. A woman answered the phone and said that someone will be at the store when I told her I'd be there between 10 and 11 AM. I arrived around 10:25 AM and the door had the "Closed" sign on it. I called the number again and the same lady said, "The sign says by appointment." Really? I had called an hour earlier and she confirmed that the store would be open when I was expected to arrive. She said that the employee was coming back from picking up rentals from a customer. When I asked her about chafing dishes, she said that she would need to get it from the warehouse since they were not on display in the store. I went to another party rental business in Martinez. The store was open and there were 3 people assisting customers. Not only did they have chafing dishes on display and they had many set ups and a variety of party supplies displayed very nicely. It took me less than 30 minutes to make selections and the order was set. I was excited to check out Elegant Events Enterprise since it was much closer to my house and yelp had very good reviews, but crossing the bridge was well worth my time and I got what I exactly needed elsewhere. read more

Janay had laid out a display of my options at their showroom in Vallejo right near downtown. While I was there I noticed that they also had nice folding chairs, which really improved my party.
