Absolutely delicious! We finally tried this Thai restaurant in downtown Martinez, and I can't wait to go back. Every dish was packed with flavor without being heavy or greasy. I almost never finish an entire plate at a restaurant, but I cleaned mine! Even better, the leftovers were just as delicious the next day after reheating, which is surprisingly rare. The restaurant itself was spotless, and I loved seeing it filled with families enjoying dinner together. It had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service was outstanding - everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. In short, I'd describe the food as refreshing, fresh, and light yet perfectly spiced. Stopped by for a casual weekday lunch after a doctor's appointment. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with bright windows and an open style floor plan. They have a dedicated parking lot and a lot of street parking. Our server was very kind and patient with our indecisiveness. I felt for her during the rush hour and admire her hard work. The food was flavorful to my standards. Some Thai restaurants tend to taste too light but I was able to taste the various flavors at this restaurant. I specifically loved how the fish was still crispy while being juicy and covered in sauce. The warmth of the fried banana paired perfectly with the ice cream. I'm impressed with how intense and ripe the mango flavors were. Their sustainable to go packaging was the cherry on top. The quality, light yet bountiful flavors, and freshness of the food definitely adds this to my Martinez go tos. read more

We were In concord late and needed to find a place for dinner. Searched for PHO but STK came up so thought we would give it a try. Modest space with ample seating. Good menu selections. I Ordered fried chicken wings without the hot sauce went for mild. They were perfectly cooked. Extra crispy skin not greasy. Same thing with the chicken and pork dumplings. Very flavorful and not greasy. I ordered the duck soup which was rich and flavorful. Not a fan of the skin so left that part. Service was slow as the busiest it got was two Tables and the two of us. There were a few take out orders but not overwhelming. I Had to get up and ask for water and the appetizer plates were left on the table way too long. The Yellow mango curry had good flavor but the pork was tough. All and all OK place. Portions are regular and the prices reasonable. Place was clean as were the bathrooms. Update I originally scored a 3 Star for my overall experience but once I saw the managers immediate response I upgraded to a 4. I appreciate the commitment to customers opinions and experiences. Knowing management took note tells me they are exactly that. I will definitely return when in the area again. read more

Not impressed and seriously wondering how this place has 4.7 stars. My brother and I decided to dine in. It has an older feel with very uncomfortable chairs. It was also very cold, which prompted me to order the coconut lemongrass soup. We got it with tofu and wished we didn't order it at all. The mushrooms were very overcooked and the soup was missing the cilantro topping. I asked the server if there were any Thai green chilis, and she brought me a caddy with chili paste and chili flakes. I was disgusted with the rusty lids. That cannot be safe to use for food storage The next thing we ordered was the spicy eggplant which was not spicy at all. We requested during our order that it be Thai spicy. The server said okay but our request was not honored. The eggplant was in a sweet sauce, totally differing from what we expected to get. It was also mostly peppers, and not a lot of eggplant, leaving us disappointed. Our last main dish was the green curry. This is my absolute go to and how I measure the quality of Thai restaurants. Unfortunately this did not meet the mark. The chicken was extremely overcooked and chewed just like a piece of beef jerky. There was cucumber in there instead of zucchini (not sure if the chef got the two mixed up) but it was a very soggy and water logged vegetable, and it was reheated too many times or heated at too high of a temperature, causing the sauce to break and left it thick in some parts with the oil separated on the top. As much as I would love to recommend this place to others, I fear I cannot. It doesn't seem like quality of food or food safety is taken into consideration. I am extremely disappointed. read more

I love love love when a Thai restaurant serves their Tom Kha in a festive dish. It was heated in style. They do have a different name for it here, coconut lemongrass soup. The taste was a bit more sweet than most Thai restaurants I've been to. Service was ok and probably needed another server then just one for a Friday afternoon. I liked the parking situation for this location. There was a few available street parking and they even have a parking lot next to them and close by. Entrance is on lot side as well but the main entrance is on the street side. I enjoyed the roti but curry sauce was a bit bitter than most other Thai locations. Pricing was reasonable. I've been here twice for lunch, and will be back. The food is quite good, the cost is reasonable, and service is friendly and fast and casual enough for lunch. The first time, I had Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) -- my test dish for any Thai place. I had it with shrimp, which were cooked to perfection. My second time, I had the Pad eggplant with shrimp. The duck in the duck curry was tender and well flavored. The pad Thai sauce was very flavorful. Service was a little slow / just one person serving the full restaurant - but not a big issue. Came here with a friend. It was completely empty at 6p. When we walked in we were told that the credit card system was down. For once in my life I had cash so we stayed. Good was great. The one employee we interacted with was helpful. Food was great. I tried the roti and curry and the fried tofu. Just ordered the shrimp wonton soup (spicy) and it did not disappoint! Was looking for a soup that could help clear up my congestion and found it here. What a great addition to the Martinez food scene. I hang out in Martinez periodically and often grab a bite to eat while there. Today, I had the pleasure of mistakingly walking into Sisaket Thai Kitchen, thinking it was Ginger Thai. This mistake had a silver lining. Here's why: Food: I ordered the green curry and brown rice and mushroom dumplings. Everything was delicious. The mushroom dumplings seem to have steamed and then finished on the stove top, which created both tenderness and crispiness. That was epic. Not only were they physically appealing, the taste was unbeatable. I also loved the green curry with brown rice. The bell peppers were aldente, just as I like them. Conversely, the eggplant was perfectly soft, but not overcooked. The spice level was perfect, too. Service: There was only one wait staff when I entered. That was fine, as the restaurant had only opened minutes before for dinner service (4:30 PM). The waiter, a young woman from Thailand, I found out, was both charming and knowledgeable. She suggested several vegan options to me. Her recommendations were spot-on. Ambiance: I love how they have re-designed the space. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming. Honestly, I think that candles would be a great touch. I would also recommend playing either instrumental music or music from Thailand. The latter would help approximate what being in Thailand might actually feel like. Very minor suggestions for your consideration. Again, I highly recommend Sisaket Thai Kitchen. I had placed a pick up order for their pad see ew and their spicy basil seafood entrée, and this food was very mediocre to say the least and definitely not worth $40. The portion size was extremely small. I actually had thought they forgot something in my order. The spicy seafood only fed half of a person. Something that I really appreciated is that the dish comes with rice, no paying extra for rice.
