Green curry with tofu and brown rice
    Valerie A.

I've eaten here several times for lunch over the years when I find myself in downtown Martinez for court or whatever. I was hoping for a menu with lunch specials, but they didn't have one. What they did offer was free rice or cucumber salad with an entree. The green curry was good, slightly spicy but not overpowering. They gave me a very generous helping both of the curry and rice as pictured. Service was very friendly. They have a good amount of space, so the atmosphere is comfortable. It was busy for a weekday compared to other local restaurants. They do have an outdoor seating area which wasn't in use for some reason.

We came here after reading the reviews. we were here for basketball and needed to grab dinner afterwards. Positive for vegans or vegetarians they give you the full menu and explain everything to you which has chicken broth or any oyster sauce. However, when we got our food, I wish they had more tofu noodles and rice instead of 60% vegetables . Kids are super hungry because they didn't get enough carbs and we end up going out for another meal.. 4 stars because the service is great and this is a clean place.

This place continues to be the BEST Thai food I've ever had.. and I've been all over the Bay Area. No one can outdo their freshness and flavors! As an added bonus, the people are fantastic! Super friendly and remember us and how we love our hot sauce. The restaurant is perfectly located at the end of downtown and the inside is the perfect breakaway from the busy street. You can sit by the window and watch the lights, etc while enjoying your meal.

Five star delicious!!! fast efficient spot on!!!

This is a cute and modern Thai restaurant in Martinez. There is metered parking nearby. The restaurant felt spacious with high ceilings and modern decor. The waiters were attentive and quick. The tables are spaced apart in a manner that felt comfortable. I tried eggplant with tofu and coconut soup with chicken. I also ordered a cup of brown rice. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soggy. Every bite was filled with garlic and basil in a savory sauce that had the prefect blend of sweetness and salt. The soup was also fragrant with lemongrass and coconut it, and so flavorful. The brown rice was soft and easy to eat. The portions were generous. Such a wonderful experience and definitely a place I would revisit if I am ever in the area.

We stumbled upon this spot while going for a walk in Martinez. It is located right in the heart of downtown Martinez. They are serving up some delicious & authentic Thai & Laotian cuisine! For our starter, we enjoyed the Sampler Platter with grilled chicken skewers, avocado rolls, crispy shrimp rolls, & petite lumpia rolls. For our entrees, I ordered the Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, mint leaves, cilantro, onions & bean sprouts. It was so tasty & the vermicelli noodles were perfection. It is served with a side of sweet & spicy sauce & crushed peanuts. We also ordered the Garlic Noddles with Prawns which has cilantro, garlic, shrimp paste & butter topped with their signature prawns. It was so good! The service was okay and the ambience was relaxed. It started to get busy around 6PM and they had a lot of takeout orders! A must try in downtown Martinez!

Thai fried rice- rice, onion, raisins, pineapple, cashews, shrimp. So good!

What a Gem of a restaurant located in the heart of Martinez! Thai food was calling my name. While visiting, my family & I decided to visit Lemon Grass. We ordered the Pad thai, drunken noodles & Thai fried rice. It was all super fesh, delicious & the portions were quite large. Our only complaint was that the service was very slow. When we were ready to go, no one would bring us the bill. I retrieved my own to go boxes & we practically begged to pay. Maybe it was just an off day. However, the food was delicious & worth it!

Ordered takeout from lemongrass bistro in order to try all the thai places in downtown martinez. Have been craving yellow curry lately. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken during lunch time but just the entree with no rice. The curry itself was decently flavorful (much better the 2nd day honestly as i only ate half the first day) but personal preference is I didn't enjoy the bell pepper in it. The side of pickled cucumbers that came with it was amazing. So fresh and still had the right amount of crunch. Ate every bite of this the first day I want to say this came in a tall quart sized container and for a good price of $12 and change.

If you like Thai food, you have to try this one! I had been coming here for a while now , but since the pandemic I haven't had their food and forgot how good it was. The restaurant is always clean, the customer service is great, they know all their customers, and seem happy to see them , as when you run into a friend on the street! The parking is on the streets, there's meters but I believe free on the weekends. They have a huge variety of dishes to chose from is overwhelming and everything is good.

Surprisingly good stuff for the price versus money vs service vs interior. Was pleased with all excluding the cleanliness of the tables and the highchair. Excellent service by Zachary P. - THANK YOU!!! Pleasant and spiritual wall arts. Excellent food where I can highly recommend the Sampler Platter and Pad Thai. Great find and definitely will be back for more.

Whether you're in town for jury duty, work, or play, here is a good lunch spot. I walked into Aberdeen Café during the lunch hour. Booths lined the wall on one side, and the bar was on the other. Korean pop music played softly while other customers ate lunch. I was seated at the booth and was served a glass of water to start. I got the #2015 Salt and Pepper Fish Filet lunch special with hot and sour soup of the day, egg roll, and substituted-in fried rice. I was served the hot and sour soup first. It was a wonderful appetizer. The classic spicy pepper and sour vinegar were balanced. The bits of crunchy mushroom and soft tofu added interest and texture to the thick broth. This was comfort in a bowl. The entree was delicious. The fried fish was hot off the wok when it arrived, steaming on the plate along with fried rice, broccoli, an egg roll, and some sweet and sour sauce. I enjoyed the fish; the heat of the jalapeno slices and the salt elevated the light crispiness and mild sweetness of the fish. The fried rice was light and fluffy with bits of egg. The sauteed broccoli had a solid crunch, and the vegetable egg roll was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was a good, satisfying lunch at Aberdeen Café. When I'm in the mood for comforting Cantonese food again, I'll be back for more.

We landed on Pho May and we were so pleased to find a solid pho place so close to our house! The restaurant itself is exactly what you'd imagine for a Vietnamese restaurant - super inviting, Vietnamese decor, friendly employees, and heavenly smell of food coming from the kitchen. We got pho ga (chicken pho) and pho tai (rare beef pho) to go, along with a Thai iced tea. All of them were stellar. The broth for both soups were very flavorful, not too salty, and most importantly piping hot! The portions of meat, noodles, and toppings were very generous and super fresh. The prices are also super reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back - this is our new go-to spot in Martinez for pho!

I ordered a 15 and a Thai tea. The broth was awesome. I was hoping for some Basil but got cilantro instead. The shrimp was good but the rest of the seafood lacked flavor. It didn't matter how much hoisen sauce and sriracha I put I couldn't get the right flavor flavor. The tea was kind of bland. Not sure if it was mostly milk and not enough tea or if the tea was just not as strong as in other places. Also this isn't so much their fault and I know fixing systems are hard but it being cash only makes it difficult. Luckily there was a bank down the St and I was able to get some cash. All in all it was "good" I might give it one more try or maybe two more tries because I want to taste their sandwich and the beef pho. Hopefully my next experience is better.

Over the last couple years I've been trying to start it earlier and earlier during the holidays so that I don't feel horrible after Jan 1st. I realize Im getting older and I just want to eat more healthy meals at home in general. Because of that, I decided to stop making like 95% I used to make. Orange Chicken and Beef Chow Fun was part of that list This meal was supposed to be one of the last times I ate this meal and while it wasn't bad, I definitely felt just a tad disappointed with the quality. First off, respect for using thighs for the chicken. I feel like chicken breasts are doable but I feel like ultimately chicken thighs are the way to go for Orange Chicken. I really think that chicken breasts should just be reserved for something like Lemon Chicken. I also like that they give you a good amount of chicken too. A tiny more than I normally expect. Or at least thats how it felt. The flavor wasn't bad either but I the texture wasn't the best. Lots of the breading on the pieces were coming off easily which isn't the end of the world but it just felt like a single fried was used instead of a double fry for extra crispy. Not saying that happened but thats just what it felt like. It could have also been that it was sitting at the restaurant longer than usual. Im guessing it was the latter since I ordered DoorDash. I also ordered the Beef Chow Fun. It was fine but just overall found the sauce lacking. Same deal with the Potstickers. The texture was fine but flavor was just ok. I was really excited to try these too since it seemed like a favorite in town. But they were just ok imo. I honestly just felt like a lot of food just was rushed a little. The interesting thing though is this place also does sushi too so Im curious if their Japanese part of the menu maybe better than their Chinese side? Or Vise versa. Hard to say but I do want to try them again soon.

Was not sure it was fully fresh. The pork belly was rubbery & very thinly sliced and more veggie than meat. The wings came with the Korean sauce on them already, than on the side. The Korean sauce was soy sauce forward instead of a balanced flavor. Not a fan. The pickled papaya was not spicy & was pickled in a sweet pickling marinade. We walked in to find the restaurant nearly empty--just my friend and I in a space that could seat around 40. That's usually not a red flag for me but it made the underwhelming meal stand out even more. We ordered the #7 Hamachi Kama (grilled yellowtail collar), which came with rice and salad. The fish didn't taste fresh and had an odd texture--not what I've come to expect from this dish. The rice had a strange aftertaste, and the salad dressing was more like watered-down mayonnaise than anything appetizing. Next came the shrimp and veggie tempura platter. I get that tempura is a simple dish--hot oil, light batter, a good fry--but even that missed the mark. The batter lacked flavor and the portion was surprisingly sparse for the price point. I really wanted to like this place. The staff were polite and attentive, which I appreciate.
