The service was quick and the staff were very kind. The food is soooo good! I loved their pad Thai and tom yum soup! The Thai tea was very flavorful as well. Will be coming back soon! The vibes are so chill. The only downside is that our whole table didn't have service but then again it was kind of a blessing to communicate and chat with one another.

Champa garden is just everytime. Great food, super affordable. Big portions you cannot leave hungry. Love that they give a vegan option for the Thai tea for the lactose intolerant people! My friends and I got in about 45 minutes from closing so we were honestly just expecting to get take out and leave but they were so kind to accommodate us and we dined in. Wonderful service, charmingly decorated. Delicious 10/10

This is one of my go-to spots for Lao/thai food in Oakland. They are usually really busy so if you can make a reservation, it's best to to ensure you get a table. Either that, or order to go. If you can't, just be prepared to wait a bit, but just know, it'll be worth the wait! The restaurant is a decent size, clean, but the parking is pretty tricky as it's in a residential area. Service is pretty good. Everyone is really friendly and attentive. Again they are usually busy, so be patient with them. The menu has plenty of things to choose from. I usually order the appetizer sampler for the table. This comes with nam kao (crispy rice salad), Lao sausages, their eggrolls, and noodles with a side of fresh lettuce and mint, cilantro to make wraps as well as a dipping sauce. Everything is good but this last time I went, the eggrolls weren't as flavorful as they usually are. May have just had an off day. Another thing I usually order is the kao piak (chicken noodle soup) which is also really good. Comforting for this type of weather too. Honestly, anything I've ordered is usually good. Love this place! Been a staple for years!

I've had the pleasure of finally dining inside! I went on Valentines for dinner around 7pm there were a maybe 4 people head of us and we waited maybe less than 30minutes at most. They had a lot of menu items and it was so hard to choose. However while waiting to get seated I was reading an article posted in front of the store outside in recognition of there nam kaow. I definitely had to order that! It was really good! But I felt it did need some sort of fish sauce. The pad thai was delicious of course had to get it again & the portions are actually a lot more bigger in person vs online ordering. The house special was delicious, pretty saucy I'm glad the server suggested a side of white rice to soak up the sauce. All in all this is a solid thai spot and would love to try more things on the menu.

Came with my group of friends right when they opened on Sunday and there were already a few parties ahead of us waiting! All the food was fresh, delicious, and made to order. Green curry was delicious and flavorful. The champa sampler was superb! A variety of different flavors and items on the tray itself. Portions were also big and great for sharing. Would recommend.

Every item we ordered tonight actually all came out, and almost every dish was on point. Although it was busy tonight, everything came out quick and service was excellent. We ordered the chicken noodle soup with added ground pork, papaya salad, chicken pad thai, chicken wings, mango sticky rice, and thai tea. We dont usually order the chicken wings as often as other dishes, but every time we do, it's always so crispy and perfectly seasoned! The mango sticky rice is just okay though. The mangoes served with actually a little brown inside.

Really long wait on a holiday night but worth it. Ordered the papaya salad Thai style. Good balance of citrus and vinegar. The chicken noodle soup Lao style was different than anything I've had. Quick thick and the noodles were thicker as well. Great flavor. My friend ordered the panang curry and that was the winner. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Food - SUPER tasty thai food. ordered panang curry and pad se ew. everything was so flavorful and they also have mild option which is perfect for someone like me who can't eat too much spicy Service - super friendly staff! we got seated at the bar because they were so busy but service was prompt. Ambiance - cute little spot, hole in the wall, super nice and cozy

Such a yummy dinner and a fun atmosphere. Jake found this restaurant and I just have to rave about it. The champa sampler had this crispy rice that worked so well with the sausage and I would 100% recommend and eat again. The chicken satay was cooked to perfection & had great flavor with the peanut sauce. We got the mango fried rice and curry were good staples as well- but I think I'd get pineapple next time. I tried the Thai iced tea with coconut milk for something new and have to highlight that service was phenomenal as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dinner in both price and quality. We came at dinner time and waited less than 10 min for a seat and our food came quickly. Parking can be tricky because it's in a neighborhood, but not impossible!

I get my cravings for pad thai once in a while, and decided to check out Champa Garden when I saw they had duck as a protein option! Definitely don't see that often. The pad thai starts at $12.50 if you go for the classic protein options like chicken or beef, which is very affordable for a sit down meal these days. The duck, however, is a $5 add on. Considering how much of an increase it is compared to chicken here, I had much higher expectations. It wasn't abundantly loaded with meat or anything, and a lot of the pieces were more fat than meat. I definitely don't think it was worth $5 for the upgrade. The noodles itself also seemed more on the soft and overcooked side, and a bit too saucy. Wasn't my ideal texture. I also tried the Angel Wings ($13) since it seemed to be one of their popular specialty items. I personally just didn't think stuffed fried chicken is my thing. The outer crisp was great though! I'll probably just stick to classic chicken wings in the future. Overall, if you live in the area, this is a pretty decent spot for a casual budget friendly meal if you stick to the basics.

Our party of 6 had no problem getting seating here. The waiting staff were very hospitable and our server successfully remembered our order of 9 items without writing it down. Khao Piak - 5 - the noodles were chewy and soft. Thick on the starchy side in a good way. Larp - 5 - Fresh appetizer. It pairs well when you wrap it in the provided lettuce with some sticky rice. Lao Papaya salad - 2 - It was strong on the fish and the papaya felt on the more soggy side. Overall not my cup of tea. Champa Sampler - 5 - the fried rolls were crunchy. As was the nam khao. I also enjoyed the sausage. Duck curry with eggplant - 4.5 - it has regular thai flavor to it and was solid. Chicken Satay - 4 - We enjoyed this as well, but nothing special to write home about. Basil Fried Rice - 5 - I liked it.

The space is a little narrow in certain sections, but the decor gives it an authentic feel that sets it apart from those overly polished, generic spots. It feels like a place that actually respects the culture it's representing. We started with the Pad Brussels Sprouts, and honestly, that secret sauce and fried garlic combo is elite. Usually, sprouts are hit or miss, but these were savory, crisp, and gone in minutes. For the main, I locked in on the Khao Soi Short Rib over noodles. The meat was incredibly tender--no effort required--and the broth had that rich, deep flavor profile that you only get when a kitchen actually takes its time. The whole experience was smooth, and the food was top-tier without being pretentious. It's a solid, laid-back environment with authentic flavors that justify the visit every time. Definitely a five-star run.

I ended up going with their crispy papaya salad for my appetizer, the lamb shank curry, and ice cream for dessert. The crispy papaya salad was interesting since I had never had the dish prepared in that manner. It came with an excellent dipping sauce that provided some salt and acid to balance things out. The lamb curry was awesome! Hearty, meaty, with a flavorful and creamy base. The roti was also a great side which provided a nice buttery and fluffy touch to my main. My meal also came with coconut ice cream, but I passed that to my friends to avoid the dairy. I had a great time at Pintoh. Our servers were nice, the ambience and vibes were colorful and on point. Check them out if you're looking for some Thai food with a twist.

This is our go-to Restaurant, this year for Thanksgiving & Christmas both. Friends who joined us were impressed with the food & were very interested to know the name & location of this restaurant. Now my In-Laws like to order Take Out more often, and they always want to order Thai food! It used to be they wanted Indian food, which we love but truly had not found satisfactory in the past. I'm so glad because Thai Taste Kitchen doesn't disappoint! They have been impeccable about marking the containers & even packaging meat vs vegetarian items in separate bags, and they allow specifics like "no shrimp paste" or whatever, more of "this" or none of "that". White Rice included free with entrees thst are not noodle or rice based, and if you prefer individual instead of family style, you can add an appetizer to each entree individually for about $5-$6, which is about the same as splitting an appetizer order in half, but sometimes people prefer a different appetizer. I like to avoid fried foods, for example, but others love egg rolls or fried chicken (was that an appetizer or an entree?) Thai Iced Tea comes in one size only, and it's small, but consider the calories. This is probably best in small size & I was thoroughly satisfied, I had not indulged for many, many years and it was so delicious. If possible, get it with no ice so it doesn't melt on the way to your destination, you can add your own ice once you get there. Tbh, I started drinking it immediately & finished it in about 10 min, since my husband was driving. Treat yourselves & I think you'll be really glad you found this place. One caveat, they are short staffed so keep that in mind if you eat in the restaurant, I believe only one person is serving tables and may also handle the register, so it may require patience. The beauty of Take Out is we can set out a buffet, everyone grabs a plate & chooses ehat they like, and we can reheat warm items in the microwave in about a minute, and it tastes it's best hot.
