12/10. Pho never fails to make me happy, but this place was especially impressive. What stood out to me was that the noodles were SLIGHTLY chewier than normal, which elevated textural contrast. Of course, the broth was the star of the show, which we were able to smell before we even entered the restaurant. My boyfriend, who is a San Jose native (aka pho expert), also approved. Meat quality could have been a little better, but this is only if I HAD to nitpick at something.

We were craving some spring rolls and decided to try this restaurant out. We ordered through the phone for pick up. There is a parking lot. We got the shrimp spring roll and the nem ones. They were pretty decent for their price. I really liked their peanut sauce that they have on the side for you to dip. We also got the wings. These were delicious! Very crispy if you eat it fresh.

The broth is sooo good- on the sweeter side which is a plus for me! Generous portion sizing for a regular. They also had the nem nuong spring rolls- delicious! Parking - small lot and free street parking! No frills, simple pho restaurant with family working there- love to see it! Friendly service too!

Family-run spot with that cozy, authentic vibe. The pho is flavorful and comforting, hitting all the right notes for a classic bowl. But honestly, I'm obsessed with the taro smoothie--it's the real standout here and worth a visit all on its own.

Got the Bun Bo Hue here and was disappointed as an avid BBH enjoyer. It tasted a bit bland (like maybe it wasn't brewed long enough?) and it lacked spice. When I ordered, they had messed up my order and gave me pho instead of Bun Bo Hue. I should've just eaten the pho instead of asking the server what happened to my order. The thai tea was delicious though!!

3/11/25 FYI. #49 Com Suon, Bi, Cha. Grilled pork chop, shredded pork, egg cake over rice.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Quality/Quantity - Today I got: #49 Com Suon, Bi, Cha. Grilled Pork Chop, Shredded Pork, Egg Cake Over Rice - The pork chop was overcooked/dry. The shredded pork was the hit of the dish. And love that "broken" rice. Well, I did crave rice today. Next time I will get pho, as that is in the name of the business. Decent size menu, with decent options. See pictures. Atmosphere - Small local business. Mostly indoor seating and 3 small tables outdoors. Small private parking lot, important in this neighborhood. That alone might justify eating here, lol. Open 6 days a week from 9:30am to 8pm, closed Wednesdays. One clean unisex restroom. Service - I was greeted when I walked in, they took my order and I never saw them again?!?! Plenty of "family" employees, I counted 6-7 people. They outnumbered us customers. I asked for more fish sauce from the "bus boy" but he did not understand me. Finally one of the other 6 people overheard and came to help me. The busboy was the hardest worker. In summary, you get what you ask for, you just have to go out of your way to ask. Must pay upfront (counter service). Price - $16 + generous tip, reasonably priced for what I got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2018. If your service improved, I can see how and why you have good ratings.

    3. Rare Steak Pho - Pho Tai
    Jacie N.

Pho was good, rice plate was also delicious. Authentic flavors and taste. The nuoc mam was good (read: savory, not sweet) which can really make or break a meal. The tai in the pho was slightly overdone so it was a bit tough. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious! Staff was friendly. The general vibe of the restaurant is pretty typical of many Vietnamese mom and pops (no frills, cleaner than many actually). 4% surcharge for credit cards. There is a parking lot.

Third time coming here and it's always as delicious as the first. They have a small parking lot and we went around 4pm so it was relatively empty. We ordered two phos and 1 order of egg rolls. I really appreciate that you are able to get whatever kind of meat they offer in your pho cause they offer all variations. Everything came out super hot, fresh and flavorful. Their pho broth is above the rest! Their space is quite clean and they are speedy with their service.

Both rolls I tried (mixed veggie and tofu) were warm. I was surprised, but pleasantly surprised because I like hot food vs. cold. So both rolls were a nice change from the traditional chilled version. I wish they had a vegan fish sauce instead of only sweet chili sauce for the rolls, but not a deal breaker. The veggie pho broth was hearty and made my tummy smile. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating it. Private parking lot make dining here convenient. The staff members were really nice and attentive. Prices very reasonable. I'd go out of my way to dine here again.

Me and my boyfriends new go to!! There's a small parking lot in the back. We came here around 6pm and there was a good amount of people inside. It was clean inside which I enjoyed. We sat and ordered chicken wings, a rice plate and pho. The chicken wings were really solid -- crispy, hot, flavorful! Really enjoyed this dish. The rice plate was also super flavorful. The sunny side up egg had crispy edges but was a little too salty. Everything else was seasoned perfectly and each bite was delicious. The meat was tender, the pork skin was savory and the egg cake was spongy and good. The pho was solid!! The broth was umami, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the meat was meaty. Everything was delicious and had perfect flavor harmony. Overall such a good place, good portions and good prices. Highly recommend!

I tried their Mango Salad and highly recommend it to open up your appetite and start your meal! I had their Special Combo - Pho Dac Biet, which includes rare steak, well-done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatball noodle soup. The broth has a unique taste, leaning towards the sweeter side compared to other pho I've had before. It's definitely worth a try! The portion is huge, and the price is really decent and affordable. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant available for customers!

Pro tip: they charge a small fee (4%) for paying with credit card so bring cash! Loved my dinner at Pho Huong Que. My friend and I stopped by for dinner Saturday evening around 6 and it wasn't too crowded. The ambiance here is your standard no frills Asian restaurant vibe. It's clean and didn't feel crowded. We got seated promptly and started perusing the menu, which has many pages including two pages fully dedicated to vegetarian options. They offer a wide variety of dishes including pho and other noodle soups, vermicelli bowls, and rice plates. I had trouble deciding what to get and settled on the #65 com thit tom cha (grilled pork, grilled shrimp, egg cake over rice) for $14.25. This really hit the spot for me. The pork and shrimp were extremely flavorful, and I was in love with the egg cake and wish I had more pieces of it. Portions were good too; I was barely able to finish the whole plate and was stuffed after. My friend really enjoyed his B4 bun ga cha gio (grilled chicken and egg roll over vermicelli) for $13.95 as well. Would definitely come back here again next time we're in the mood for Vietnamese!

I appreciate their twist (tangerine sauce instead of nước chấm) but it was too one note for me...IMO, it needed acid and herbs. Plus, I miss the texture of peanuts. * Bánh Khọt: Viet Mini Pancakes w/ shrimp, coconut milk batter, herbs, pickles ($24): https://tinyurl.com/34nx7sat - Served at dinner only Fav dish of the night, the savory bánh khọt was delicately crispy and slightly custardy in the center with a snappy shrimp drizzled with fragrant scallion oil. Served with a tiny portion of tangy sweet nước chấm. * Bò Lúc Lắc: Shaking Beef w/ soy, garlic, onion, cherry tomato, arugula ($26): https://tinyurl.com/3rkpukct Meltingly tender cubes of filet mignon but light on the seasoning and aromatics so it was bland. Chunks of pork belly are caramelized in sugar and braised in coconut soda and fish sauce - rich, savory with a good ratio of lean meat to fat (4 pieces). Wish they used more braising liquid when warming up, as some pieces were a bit dry. S E R V I C E Warm, friendly hospitality.
