I went here to celebrate my friends 50th Birthday. The menu he chose was the Chef's Table which uses locally sourced ingredients. The items are prepared especially individually and served immediately. We dined on Hokkaido Scallops, Salmon Tartare, and Fresh Somen Noodles to name a few. The food was fresh and absolute culinary delights. Our experience did not end there. We drank wine, champagne, and various craft cocktails. And ended with a mango custard. It was a special day of celebration. The owner V was gracious and welcoming. Her husband and daughter arrived later. Her daughter made a handwritten card for the birthday boy. The restaurant has plenty of light with great modern decor. All in all it was a great experience.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while so I decided to make reservations for my sister's birthday. We came here for brunch with reservations and we were the first ones in the restaurant. Always good. We started off with bottomless mimosas and they are super generous with their bottomless. I love me a generous restaurant. They give you these delicious flavors and sets the carafe at the table. The interior is beautifully decorated and the walls are adorned with pictures of the family in Vietnam. I love the open space concept. We ordered appetizers and main dishes. -Roti and curry dip 5/5 -crispy rolls 4/5 -Pho 4/5 -Grilled pork noodle bowl 4/5 -Bo Ne 4/5 -Shrimp papaya salad 3/5 Overall I had a great experience. The food was good, but I think it is "fancy" Vietnamese food, so the deep, rich flavors weren't all there. I'm thinking of the pho joints I visit, where the service isn't there, the that food will always bring me back. Our server was attentive and this place is worth a try! I'll have to come back for dinner.

I've been wanting to try Co Nam for the longest time! While in the Temescal District for an event, we ended up swinging through for a quick bite. I already can't wait to come back for brunch and cocktails! We ordered a few brews and the garlic noodles with chicken (usually served with prawns), and the mochi dumplings. We sat at the bar and watched a few rounds of absolutely beautiful and unique cocktails being made. The ingredients, preparation, and presentation represented such a thoughtful approach and super cool sipping experience for the guest. Very Instagrammable. The mochi dumplings were unlike anything I've ever seen or tasted. A fun foodie fusion! Full of flavor, texture, and super tasty. The garlic noodles were delish also ~ again, packed with bold flavors and perfectly grilled meat. The service was excellent, and it seemed to be the hoppin' spot. Pricing reasonable, street parking available, but ride-share or BART may be best pending where you're coming from. Looking forward to round 2 and enjoying a deeper dive into their menu.

Co Nam took me by surprise and now I can't get enough! We sat at the bar for our late night meal and were intrigued by the decor and menu. It was also really fun to sit at the bar, you could watch them make your drinks and you can see a bit of the kitchen. It makes it a great experience. The chicken wings were my favorite. Perfectly crispy, a nice sticky sauce, and a WHOLE wing!!! A rare find nowadays. The papaya salad was more than a dish, it was a work of art. Their plating in general is really on point. The papaya salad will definitely be part of my monthly takeout rotation.

Great service! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was amazing and tastes so good. It wasn't too salty either! I also really liked the Vietnamese coffee, strong, just how I like it.

Everything tasted fine, pretty average. Nothing really stood out. But it was a fine place! The prices felt too expensive for the taste and experience. Unfortunately overall, it was fine and just okay. I think the photos looked better than the actual taste. Service was fine, we didn't get checked on ever. But no staff was rude or ignored us.

Super great happy hour deals! The oysters were so delicious that we ended up getting two servings. The fried chicken was also fried to perfection - crispy skin with super tender meat. It was paired with a simple fish sauce that gave the chicken a pleasant umami flavor. The drinks were decent, but did lack a bit of depth and complexity. I'd like to try some of their other food and drinks to see if there are other options that I would enjoy more.

Went on a Friday night , service was pretty good. We sat quickly outside with no wait. The garlic noodles were amazing! The oyster appetizer was also great.

5 stars for the Chef Experience... Jeff and the whole staff were wonderfully attentive. You can tell they care about their craft. We had a several-course dinner with cocktail pairings. Too many to list! Our favorite dishes included the fried oyster, roti with curry sauce, pho dumplings and the fried banana for dessert. Our favorite drinks included the pillow talk, Maldives and an off menu old fashioned. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

So this place is beautiful. The menu is a modern take on Vietnamese food, i enjoyed the food and it was good but to me it doesn't taste authentic? I guess that would be the word. I ordered Pho, although it was good there was a floral taste in the soup that i couldn't shake or grow accustomed to. I would say 3/5 for the pho. My partner order a banh mi and that was good but same as before theres a hint of something that threw me off. The drink was good i got it non-Alcoholic but you could make it with alcohol. It was my fav at the table and we got bread and that was good, nothing special. I do want to go back for a night of drinking, i heard the alcoholic drinks are pretty good. Try the place for yourself, if i go back for food the pho wouldnt be what i would choose.

Meant to take a photo of our food but it's so good, we just ate it.

Absolutely love this place. It has a good selection of beers and creative cocktails. The pho prices are reasonable compared to other local places but tastes much better. I'd recommend a combo of the Saigon street peddler cocktail and the clay pot fish or Pho. Great service and great food. I'm Vietnamese and my family owns Vietnamese restaurants-this is good viet food and our go to place in oakland.

I love the brunch menu here! My friend and I enjoyed a delicious brunch at Co Nam on a Saturday morning. Around 11:30am there was no wait and plenty of seating. We were excited to try their unique brunch dishes, so we split two entrees. Both were delicious! Chicken & Waffle (5/5) I'm a sucker for a pandan mochi waffle, and this was particularly great one. The chicken thigh tempura was perfectly cooked and not greasy, and the condensed milk topping was sweet and tasty. Wicked Bennie (4.5/5) The braised pork belly egg benedict inside a bao bun was fantastic! I didn't care for the flavorless cucumber salad that it came with, which neither of us finished. For our drink, we both ordered the Paradise Punch (4.5/5) which was sweet and refreshing. Service was fine (4/5) and food came out in a timely manner. I like the ambiance inside and there is also outdoor seating. This restaurant is a short walk from Macarthur BART. I parked at the BART garage since it's free on the weekend.

Hi, I have a giftcard from your sf location and I haven't used it. Is there anyway to use it in your Oakland location?

Now that outdoor dining has resumed are bottomless mimosas back? If so, what are the hours that it's offered? Thank you

Hi Mathew. We’re open for outdoor dining weather permitting. Currently offering Sat for bottomless 11-3pm. Once the weather improve we’ll staff up and add Sunday.

We stumbled across this spot on Google and decided to give it a try. Luckily, our party of four was seated right away. The cocktail menu is on the smaller side, but between the four of us, we ended up trying a good portion of it. Honestly, every drink we ordered was really good, and there weren't any complaints from the group. I think we ordered Actual Proof, Sun Goddess, High Heel Sneaker, and Moonglow (mine). My cocktail was definitely my favorite because I love sweeter drinks where you can barely taste the alcohol, and it was exactly that. The rest of my friends' drinks leaned less sweet with a stronger alcohol presence. While I could appreciate the flavors of those cocktails, they just weren't my personal preference since I tend to like sweeter, fruitier drinks. I'd definitely come back. Very nice vibe and ambience. I'd probably order the same cocktail again since I enjoyed it, or try one of the other drinks I had my eye on. Between my friends and me, we managed to try almost everything that initially caught my interest, and overall it was a great experience.

Can't quite describe it but it didn't feel like an SF bar, felt more open and like a community watering whole. On to the food and drinks. I'm vegetarian so was so excited to try the dogs - which are vegan. And I may be biased but you cannot tell that you're missing out on anything with all the flavor packed combos. The bun was fluffy and soft and you have multiple fun themed options to choose from. My partner and I ended up getting the deli dog and truffle meltdown. Deli was perfect - classic mix of spice and crunch with the spicy brown mustard and giardiniera peppers. And the truffle meltdown was so savory and decadent - totally different flavor profiles from each dog! We were only going to grab one drink but the menu was so inventive we ended up getting two.
