Fried banana with coconut ice cream. A MUST!
    Gabrielle T.

I've been coming to Neecha Thai for over 20 years, enjoying their FBI (Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream) dessert with my dad when I was younger and graduating to the veggie version of their Pad Se Ew once I grew up and went vegetarian. They cook their tofu perfectly--firm, browned, and delicious! Nestled amongst a pile of well-seasoned eggplant and basil or strewn atop a bowl of yummy Pad Se-Ew, it's everything you need and more. The Thai Iced Tea is another well-balanced gem: sweet enough without being overwhelming, and always wonderfully smooth. I also love their Veggie Rolls (the fried version... I'm not a Spring Roll type of girl.) The restaurant is a small, pretty intimate space with small wooden tables and chairs and an open kitchen heaving the fragrance of spices and herbs high in the air. (Not in an overpowering way, don't worry.) All of the staff there are absolutely sweet and have always been for the decades I've been coming. I'm glad to see that they're an Oakland spot continuing to thrive and I definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a taste of some quality Thai made with love.

Kao soi was amazing - so much flavor! It had an abundance of protein (we ordered chicken), veggies, noodles, and most importantly it had lots of flavor! The food came out piping hot and the delicious curry flavor tasted like a combo of yellow curry and panag. The curry puffs were also probably the best appetizer I've ever had - fresh and crispy, loved the flavors of the yam and taro! You could taste them but it was also not overwhelming at the same time. I will say - we also ordered the Rad Na and I can't say I was a big fan. The gravy was on the more oily and salty side (like a soy sauce kind of gravy) but if that's your thing then by all means go for it. Also would like to mention that the service was great! Very friendly and I feel like they were very attentive. Also portions are huge! It's a great bang for your buck :)

So yummy! Stopped by for an impromptu post workout lunch. The food was really fresh and the service was wonderful. We each had the pad Thai and shared the corn cakes which were delicious. I also got a side of curry and jasmine rice. The curry is very tasty. Would def recommend checking out!

It has become my favorite Thai restaurant in the East bay. The food here has big portion, full of Thai species, and diverse varieties. We ordered two different type of rice plate. They both tasted fabulously great. The asked for the Thai medium spicy, and it came out so authentic and delicious. The people here are very efficient and friendly. The place is very family style. I will definitely come back when I come to this area.

A long time favorite for all things Thai. Not too greasy, yet on the sweet side the dishes here from the kee mao to the ribs impress me a lot. Ambiance is very casual, and the service is just okay but the takeout is where this place shines.

The space is a little narrow in certain sections, but the decor gives it an authentic feel that sets it apart from those overly polished, generic spots. It feels like a place that actually respects the culture it's representing. We started with the Pad Brussels Sprouts, and honestly, that secret sauce and fried garlic combo is elite. Usually, sprouts are hit or miss, but these were savory, crisp, and gone in minutes. For the main, I locked in on the Khao Soi Short Rib over noodles. The meat was incredibly tender--no effort required--and the broth had that rich, deep flavor profile that you only get when a kitchen actually takes its time. The whole experience was smooth, and the food was top-tier without being pretentious. It's a solid, laid-back environment with authentic flavors that justify the visit every time. Definitely a five-star run.

I ended up going with their crispy papaya salad for my appetizer, the lamb shank curry, and ice cream for dessert. The crispy papaya salad was interesting since I had never had the dish prepared in that manner. It came with an excellent dipping sauce that provided some salt and acid to balance things out. The lamb curry was awesome! Hearty, meaty, with a flavorful and creamy base. The roti was also a great side which provided a nice buttery and fluffy touch to my main. My meal also came with coconut ice cream, but I passed that to my friends to avoid the dairy. I had a great time at Pintoh. Our servers were nice, the ambience and vibes were colorful and on point. Check them out if you're looking for some Thai food with a twist.

This is our go-to Restaurant, this year for Thanksgiving & Christmas both. Friends who joined us were impressed with the food & were very interested to know the name & location of this restaurant. Now my In-Laws like to order Take Out more often, and they always want to order Thai food! It used to be they wanted Indian food, which we love but truly had not found satisfactory in the past. I'm so glad because Thai Taste Kitchen doesn't disappoint! They have been impeccable about marking the containers & even packaging meat vs vegetarian items in separate bags, and they allow specifics like "no shrimp paste" or whatever, more of "this" or none of "that". White Rice included free with entrees thst are not noodle or rice based, and if you prefer individual instead of family style, you can add an appetizer to each entree individually for about $5-$6, which is about the same as splitting an appetizer order in half, but sometimes people prefer a different appetizer. I like to avoid fried foods, for example, but others love egg rolls or fried chicken (was that an appetizer or an entree?) Thai Iced Tea comes in one size only, and it's small, but consider the calories. This is probably best in small size & I was thoroughly satisfied, I had not indulged for many, many years and it was so delicious. If possible, get it with no ice so it doesn't melt on the way to your destination, you can add your own ice once you get there. Tbh, I started drinking it immediately & finished it in about 10 min, since my husband was driving. Treat yourselves & I think you'll be really glad you found this place. One caveat, they are short staffed so keep that in mind if you eat in the restaurant, I believe only one person is serving tables and may also handle the register, so it may require patience. The beauty of Take Out is we can set out a buffet, everyone grabs a plate & chooses ehat they like, and we can reheat warm items in the microwave in about a minute, and it tastes it's best hot.

Also tried the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with flat noodles. Noodles were cooked well, but the broth didn't have that deep tangy/spicy punch I usually look for in Tom Yum. Not bad, just a little lighter than what I'm used to. Menu marked both dishes as spicy, but they weren't too hot. For me, that was fine since I like a good kick (my spice tolerance is about eating Thai red chilis straight), but most people would probably find the heat level pretty comfortable.
