    Beef Bulgogi with Kimchi
    Christine A.

Food: 6/5 Service: 6/5 Cleanliness at counter: 4/5 am I coming back here? heck yah. along with the always sunny service, the food here is so tasty and quick. give it a try. Located inside the food court of Sun Valley Mall on the lower level, Plus 82 serves up some really tasty treats! Beef Bulgogi and the Kimchi are so delicious! (I like their Kimchi here... perfect mix of spicy and crispness). Also good is the Fried Shrimp. I just wish their order was a little bit bigger for the price you pay for them but nevertheless it is still worth it. It is perfectly crunchy and very tasty not oceany or fishy tasting (as some of you complain about). Don't worry! more pics to come. I will be back!

This food surprised me. The meat was flavorful and seasoned good and was not tough. The teoboki surprisingly good. The color threw me off, typically when I've had it. It's more of a vibrant red color. But this was no exception, the flavor was good. The spice levels were right, and it blended well with all of the other items, including the meat as well as the kimchi. The servings of kimchi were massive and it was because we brought it with the rice later Surprisingly good from all food and definitely a place I'll come again

Hidden gem for sure. This place is delicious and you get so much food for the price. Very friendly staff. I always get the galbi fried chicken, rice and kimchi. I go to the small specifically for this place. Tried the spicy fried chicken yesterday and it was really good but a little too spicy for me. The beef bulgogi is great too. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture before eating.

This place is located in the food court at Sun Valley Mall. The food is absolutely delicious! The employees are all very friendly and helpful. As for the ambiance, it's on a food court. Whenever I'm at Sun Valley Mall, I try to hit this place up for some grub.

Shockingly good for mall food. I would go so far as to say this is the best place to eat in Sun Valley Mall's food court. I don't typically like to eat Korean food a la carte or any format that isn't all you can eat, but I'm not particularly fond of either of Concord's options for those in Gen and Ohgane. In a pinch, Plus 82 is arguably (but not definitively) as good as it gets in this town for Korean food. I find their galbi chicken to be consistently flavorful and good. Their bulgogi can be great one day and kind of mix the next. If you get a bowl with only one entree to save money, pick the galbi chicken. Goes pretty good with the potato salad on the side. Their kimchi inconsistent - as with the bulgogi, it can be complementary with your protein one day but smell and taste rancid the next. Nowadays, I don't even bother with it anymore.

Customer service was good, Food portion is good, DISGUSTING COOKED FLY in the food... not so good. Though I did receive a full refund, this was absolutely disgusting. I will not be eating here again.

Good food, good service, and good price. The line was long when we came but the 2 guys were so efficient and accommodating.

We chose this based on the reviews. It's not bad for mall-food, but it's not great, either. Pros: Service!! Portion size (huge!) Meat seems fresh Cons: Too sweet Very Americanized Greasy

Highly recommend this place for a quick bite while visiting the Sunvalley Mall! Fantastic and friendly service and most importantly, delicious food! Passed this location so many times, but finally gave it a try and was amazed. This location is located on the first floor food court with abundant amount of homemade choices to choose from. I got the 2 entree and had leftovers for day after perfect! Highly recommend the Korean fried chicken, sweet, crispy, and juicy! Also for those who like spicy, the spicy chicken was also a great pick. The Jap Chae noodles are also a must try as well. Overall, A great new find and will definitely be back for the sweet and crispy fried chicken

This is a hidden gem!! I would not expect mall food to be this good. It's super affordable, you get a TON of food, and it's tastes amazing considering the cost/quantity/location. They have a decent amount of options to choose from and by the time you've completed building your plate, you're left with a mountain of goodness to dive into. Everything tastes fresh and there's no indication of skimping out on the quality of ingredients to serve such a large amount at such an affordable price. Am I saying this is gonna be some of the best Korean food out there? By no means. But all with all of the above considered, this is amazing and worth getting out of your car and walking through the mall even if it's just for a meal here. No complaints, 10/10.

    Pork jeyeuk is the best

We don't live close yet we come here about 3 or 4 times a month. Just for the food. And we live in Berkeley. There are lots of good Korean places to eat, but I love the flavors and variety of this little hole in the wall place at Sun Valley Mall. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is fantastic. If you haven't tried Korean food before, this is the perfect place to go. FOOD: The variety is solid! You start off a plate with your choice of japchae (glass noodles) / steamed rice / or half and half. The japchae is excellent, but I cannot live without rice so I go half and half. Your choice of entree ranges from mild to spicy and fried to bbq. All of which so far have been delicious. We've tried the bulgogi, pork jaeyuk, galbi fried chicken, spicy fried chicken, spicy bbq chicken, and coma chicken. All good, but my fav is pork jaeyuk (basically spicy pork). Kim chee chunks are a bit big, but flavorful without being TOO hot (but they are hot). SERVICE: Everyone here is SO nice! And they are very helpful. If you don't know your Korean food, just ask and they are happy to help and to offer samples. COST: More than worth it. I always order extra just because the drive is so far and I like it so much. Good value for the money.

Plus 82 Korean BBQ has an array of Korean street food snacks and entrees, which are ready to be packed and eaten. When I approached the counter, one of the employees asked if I wanted to try any samples, and they offered this to anyone who stopped by the stall. I ordered a small box to-go box of tteokbokki, which is spicy rice cake, red sauce, and fish cake. The small containers are $3.99 and the large size is $6.99. Right next to the stall is Koko Chicken which sells mozzarella corn dogs, and I heard dipping the corn dog into tteokbokki sauce is a popular pairing, so I had to try it out. The texture of the rice cake was soft and chewy, and would definitely get again. Service was great, too. All the employees were helpfully. It doesn't take too long to receive your order since they scoop up the trays as you go.

2-entrée meal (plate) with beef Bulgogi and spicy pork + a full side of japchae + Kimchi.

I met my friends Sarah and David for dinner here on 11/04/2025. We walked in at 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the lone female server, who seated us at a table towards to back of the restaurant. The interior was very clean, and lighting was soft and warm. The giant restaurant logos on the walls were prominently displayed. Their menu featured a wide array of appetizers, soups, bibimbaps, cold and hot noodles, meat dishes, etc. We opted against their signature kalbijjim and instead got three entrée combos (L.A. galbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi). Each entrée came with our choice of tofu soup. Half a dozen banchans were brought to us before the arrival of the entrées. The buchu (chives) and baechu (Napa cabbage) kimchi were excellent. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Portion wise, the tofu soups were of decent size, but the meat entrées were kind of stingy (they were served in small round skillets). I had the seafood tofu soup and it was very good. It was loaded clams, shrimp, and squid. We shared the entrées, and they all tasted great. The only gripe I had was a couple pieces of the galbi had very little meat on them. Service we received was great. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The total was somewhere around $130 (with a bottle of soju, a tangerine slushy, and a soda). Overall, we all thought the food was good. Return trip very likely. 4 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - Ample parking on site. - Yelp waitlist deployed at this restaurant.

Over…read morethe years, though, so many K-bbq restaurants have opened up that unfortunately Gen kind of slipped off my radar. But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.

I also requested an additional side dish, but it never arrived. Even my drinks were served late. While the prices are reasonable, the quality of service needs significant improvement. Was looking for a good hot pot place, and was in the Concord area…read more So I'll start with what I didn't love, but I did think it was a great gimmick for the area. The music was way too loud, almost like a night club - where you have to practically raise your voice to talk. It's great for guys, where their voice projects, but it's more difficult for anyone that has a bit higher. There are no tongs (but they will give you extra chopsticks). Also, the individual induction units are right on the table, instead of inset. This causes the potential of hot soup base spilling as a more likely experience for clumsy people. For the thing I love about this place? First... value for money. $29.99 per person for all-you-can-eat hotpot? This is amazing in this age where an entree is like $25-30. Appetizers are ordered 2 at a time, and meats are 6 at a time. Meats only come one on a thin tray, which holds about 4-6 slices. So you'll be ordering other helpings, since there are I believe 5 beef selections, and a pork and chicken selection (7) total. The middle of the restaurant is a large bar where you get everything that isn't a meat. The selection of vegetables, and noodles are pretty vast, and almost always refilled. The seafood area has shrimp, clams, tilapia, and mussels. Sauces area also on the sides which makes it pretty much an on-going motion. It's not the high-end of hot pot by any means, but the ambience that they're projecting works for the area that it's in and how they compete with the rest of the restaurants in the area. But for the money? I'd go here. We did sit in a side-middle area where it wasn't a booth. However, they made sure to separate out the seating so that if you were a group of 3, they situated in opposite ends to create space. That attentiveness of spacing actually created a better atmosphere which was a small thing, but a smart thing. Love that they actually celebrate birthdays with banging of pots, and wishing well. It's something that is fun for groups and definitely nice if you happen to be celebrating a birthday! Definitely will come back.
