There was no wait at all around 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon for a party of 2. Service was quick and our soups came out super fast. Our soups included a choice of rice or vermicelli and an iced jasmine green. The iced jasmine green tea was SO refreshing. It was a nice added bonus when dining in for lunch. We both really enjoyed our soups. The servers even come around to refill the soup if you want. Both soups came with more toppings than you can eat! We really enjoyed lunch!

Quick service on a Sunday around 1pm. Soups came out quick and were delicious!! They both came with a choice of rice or vermicelli noodles and an iced jasmine green tea. The jasmine green tea was so yummy and refreshing! Both soups were piping hot and had ample toppings. The servers even come around to refill your soup if you want more!

We arrived at 4:30 but they did not open until 5pm, so we went to the Veranda Shopping Center and hung about for awhile. We got back about 6 pm and we're promptly seated, provided our menus and served water. The way orders are placed here is via a QR code at the table that you scan and place your order. They have a sticker on the sign that says there is an 18% gratuity for parties over 6. I think that is fine, as it is common, but I would definitely NOT be placing my order via a QR code as that is a part of the service I would be tipping for at other restaurants that charge accordingly. I ordered the Kimchi Dumpling Soup, medium heat and substituted the beef slices for lamb slices and removed the egg. We could not make the change for the egg in the app, but the server was able to remove it. My daughter ordered the Beef Pot Soup, mild. Overall I was underwhelmed by the experience and the food. I have eaten at the one in Davis and it is good. I ordered the iced green tea and it was very bitter and over brewed. Our order came to $69.00 with the tip The restaurant is spacious and has about 16 tables, including tables for groups of 4 and 6. My daughter said the floors were sticky, but I didnt not notice. I would not visit again as I prefer the Davis location

The Lamb Hot Soup from Tasty Pot is still just as tasty as ever. The dish came with Napa cabbage, lamb slices, vermicelli, enoki mushrooms, imitation crabmeat, meatballs, fish cake, kamaboko, pork blood rice cake, fried tofu skin, clams, sour mustard greens, brown beech mushrooms, tofu, and cilantro, all simmered together in one pot. The ingredients blended beautifully in a rich, silky white house broth full of flavor. If you run low on broth, the staff is happy to top it up for you. The meal also includes a choice of rice or vermicelli. I opted for the vermicelli, but the portion was very small. In hindsight, I would probably choose rice next time. Also, what I chose already came with vermicelli anyway. If you go during lunch, the meal comes with a choice of sweetened green tea or sweetened black tea, served iced or hot. We chose the green tea, which was excellent. It was lightly sweetened with a strong tea flavor that made it refreshing and a great complement to the meal. I feel like their tea has improved a lot since the last time that I visited this restaurant. The restaurant was not too busy at lunchtime, and both the table and seating were comfortable. Price wise, the dish was $19.99 as of December 2025 for both lunch and dinner, with lunch including the complimentary drink. The staff were friendly, and service was quick and efficient.

Tasty Pot is one of my favorite chains! This Tasty Pot is similar to most, offering hot pots, sizzling plates for those not feeling hot soup, and a variety of appetizers. The broth wasn't as flavourful during my visit to the Concord location, but overall still satisfied with my visit. The free tea (during weekday lunch?) is always a bonus in my opinion!

My father in law who is Chinese but grew up in Taiwan introduced me to this place. It's fun because you can have single serving hot pot. It's nice because everyone can get the meat and toppings they want while still having the hot pot experience. I got the Seafood Lobster Hot Soup Dinner. It was really good, savory and the portion of seafood was really generous. The seafood was fresh and tasty. I really liked the broth too, it was simple but good. My father in law got the lamb soup. He liked it a lot. He added spice to it and enjoyed his meal. I had added ramen as it's an add of you can get but I didn't need it because my soup already had noodles. I recommend not adding noodles as you don't need to. It's nice to come here when you want hotpot but everyone wants different things cause you can each get exactly what you want here. The food is reliably good and it's a fun experience. Staff is kind and attentive. The ambiance is good. Lots of space and seating and plenty of parking.

I have never been to an individual hot pot restaurant before so I was looking forward to Tasty Pot. The food was very good and prices are very reasonable. The chicken chips are really tasty. I had the beef hot soup and I wasn't disappointed. The soup is rich and flavorful. There is a good variety of foods mixed into the soup already. You just add the sauce to flavor it as you like. The staff was helpful in suggesting dishes and explaining the differences. We were celebrating multiple birthdays, so we brought cakes and the server helpfully brought us some small plates and forks. I thought it was a good value and will try it again.

If you're a hot-potholic, give this place a try. Unlike some of the other traditional ones where there's a big pot with a center divide with two different soups with a heating element in the middle of the table, and you order from a menu either a la carte or AYCE, Tasty Pot miniaturize the experience where everything comes in a single portion hot pot. The single portion pot is misleading as it's really filling. You order from a set flavor and everything is in one pot (one drink included). The one I ordered didn't have much vegetables so I ordered a side of cabbage and opted for the vermicelli. On a cold day, this is real comfort food. If you compare Tasty Pots $25.00 single hot pot and to AYCE hotpot of $40, you may find more value with the AYCE. But for a quick lunch or don't want to cook it yourself or overeat, the Tasty Pot is perfect pot.

I been coming too much lately. I fell in love with the appetizers. Chicken wings are a must! But I recently tried the calamari and meat pie. Hella good! Service is always attentive. Staff is nice!

In a strip mall with a bunch of other Asian restaurants. Parking maybe a tad bit difficult but you will find a spot but walk a distance. We walked in and they were full waited about 5-10 mins as they cleaned up a table. I decided on Korean dumpling soup, choice of rice or noodles. It was good but it wasn't as flavorful as a Korean stew. I wanted noodles. I didn't try the fried chicken or the miso soup.

Came in to try taiwanese food for the first time. I did not get a pot, I got the Sizzling Beef. I picked mushroom sauce and udon instead of rice. I opted for cheese on top & it came with edamame and corn. It also came with a free Green or Black tea. I got green and it was refreshing. I was expecting not sweetened tea but it was lightly sweetened. The place was clean and service was good. I cannot wait to come back and try a hot pot!

    9. Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup
    Meriya S.

My husband and I love Tasty Pot so much! This time, we ordered two different soups: #9 Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot and #11 Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup. Personally, I didn't enjoy the Taiwanese Supreme as much because the intestine in the soup had a strong, slightly unpleasant smell that wasn't to my taste. However, the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup was absolutely delicious -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly spicy! Our favorite proteins are definitely the lamb and beef -- they're always tender, juicy, and pair really well with the broth. We also really liked this Tasty Pot location! It's much bigger than the Berkeley one, and parking is a lot easier since the lot is spacious and convenient. The service was good -- the staff were nice and attentive enough, although nothing particularly outstanding. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely come back for more!

However, either the person didn't hear me or ignored me, it turned out it was the regular size as we were charged $80+ for it instead of the $30 mini size one. It was really tasty - both the short ribs on the bones and not on the bone. There were radish, potato, and rice cakes mixed in there as well. If we knew we were getting a regular one, I would have liked some toppings such as corn or something... not too sure what happened there, but it was still really tasty. We had a bit leftover and were given a box with no lid. They would seal the box with the plastic wrap thingy. Would come back again.

Anyways, shout out to my server, she was the absolute sweetest sweetheart. Thank again for the drink recommendations! And now the drinks and food. The prices were reasonable and the quality was impeccable! We got the Shirley temples. I loved the blue raspberry Shirley temple, so sweet, tangy and refreshing. Definitely what I needed on that hot day. I got the sakedon. Now I've had many a sakedon and I can tell you this one's got a great bang for your buck. For the price you get an exceptional amount of salmon and the salmon was quite buttery. Melt in your mouth. That and the escolar along side the hamachi. Worth the visit. I cannot wait to come back.

The Teen & I opted for Japanese and after seeing Tuck on the Grams' rave reviews, in addition to…read morethe Yelp reviews, we headed from the Hill that is Pleasant over to Concord. The food was made to order, hot and delicious. Me: an order of gyozas, spicy garlic, edamame, and the mixed tempura. She: steak teriyaki bento box, with gyozas as her side. We: miso soup, and the salad for starters. Service was good, as we were greeted upon our arrival, seated immediately and Jessie checked on us just enough. Those spicy garlic edamame are definitely for those who like spice, and that steak teriyaki was tender it almost melted in my mouth. The miso soup and salad were just the perfect serving size that I wasn't stuffed before my meal came. Ambience was chill because it wasn't 5 o'clock yet, so I'm almost positive we made it there before the dinner rush. Giving this place a four yumms up and a definite I'll be back !!

Gen was the first K-bbq spot I ever tried, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. Over…read morethe years, though, so many K-bbq restaurants have opened up that unfortunately Gen kind of slipped off my radar. But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try since we were in the area. We normally go to…read moreCajun Crack'n because not only is the food consistently good, but the service is always excellent. We've also been to Gen Korean BBQ before, just at a different location. When we walked in, the restaurant didn't look busy at all. There were quite a few empty tables, but we were told there would be a 5-minute wait. The host wasn't very welcoming and simply said, "5 minutes, wait over there." It wasn't rude enough to ruin the experience, but it definitely wasn't the warm first impression you'd hope for. The wait ended up being closer to 10 minutes, which was confusing since there were still several empty tables. It also didn't appear that they were short-staffed. We saw about five employees walking around the dining room, and while I'm not sure if they were all servers, there seemed to be plenty of staff on the floor. Unfortunately, the service throughout our meal was just very slow. We had to keep flagging down our server--or any available server--whenever we needed something. Our server herself was friendly, which honestly makes this review a little harder to write because she was pleasant whenever we interacted with her. However, the overall lack of urgency from the staff and the less-than-friendly greeting from the host affected our experience. On the positive side, the food was great and came out quickly, so I have no complaints there. But dining out isn't just about the food--it's also about the service and overall experience. The quality of the meal was enough to bring us in, but the service is what will determine whether we come back.
