Back to Junenov, and this time I tried the Kyoho grape cheezema. It's so good!! There was no line to to order but it took over 20+ minutes to get my drink. They were busy and understaffed? My drink got delayed in the shuffle. My friends who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. Mobile order ahead is recommended.
1-Star Yelp Review Disappointing and concerning experience. We waited about 30 minutes just for a drink along with our short rib bao order. What made it worse was that there was no apology or even a "thank you for waiting" when the order finally came out. The biggest issue, however, was the short rib bao. The meat inside appeared raw/undercooked and had a very soft, squishy texture. Not edible and hard to chew. We had already taken a few bites before I noticed what the meat looked like inside. I immediately stopped eating it and did not feel comfortable letting my daughter eat any more. I'm honestly concerned about whether my daughter and I could get sick from the few bites we had. Undercooked meat is a serious food-safety concern, and this should never have been served. The photos show exactly what we found inside the bao. Very disappointing experience, especially when serving food that appears this undercooked.
The shop is pretty nice and modern looking decor. Plenty of drink and food options. Service was okay can get pretty busy and tables don't get cleaned off too fast because of them having to complete orders. The tiramisu drink was okay not the best I had from here. Tasted a lot more like soy milk than tiramisu. Their grape drink I throughly enjoyed.
Strange AF they don't have pork katsu by itself but they have pork katsu curry. I guess trying to make extra bucks? #annoyed I appreciate that they have varied fruity drinks! And they all sound soooo delicious. I'm personally not a fan of cheese foam but they have this too. Somehow ice cannot be modified but the sweetness can be modified. Ordered red guava lemon breeze. Guava was light but hit the cravings. Strange they gave you lime slices when it clearly says "lemon" haha. Boba was well cooked. Ice thankfully wasn't the entire cup. Ordered the crab and avocado onigiri. Has spam and egg as the base in all onigiris. I would've said it's great but there's legit a thick layer of mayo which grossed me out. Seaweed, rice, thick layer of mayo, crab mayo salad, avocado, tamago, spam, rice and seaweed. Rice isn't flavored. Wanted the plain ole pork tenderloin katsu bowl but was told only the curry was available,.. uhhh. Maybe they don't have the tonkatsu sauce? This legit tasted like chicken and not pork what's so ever which ticked me off since I don't consume poultry. It was well seasoned though. Curry has a layer of fat upon cooling... dark colored with no stuffing inside (no meat, veggies, etc). Food and drink took 22 minutes to get. They give you one of the shakers. Strange person taking order does not really know the menu... yes it's large and vast but strange nonetheless. Very modern decor. Lots of folks playing card games and chatting away. Very ikea esque furniture. Bathroom available. Iced water available. Would I come back? I understand now why the reviews are so great and why there's soooo many humans in this store. The food is actually legit (which is rarely the case for boba shops). The drinks are legit, too. Thus, if I were back in town, I will definitely be back!
First time trying out this place. Very friendly servers. The place inside was very clean and had nice decor. Ordering was easy as the server made it simple. Their drinks are not too expensive considering the market price these days for this type of boba drinks. Will definitely visit again when I am in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood.
Glad I was able to stop by 5 min before closing on my way home. It was pretty busy inside but there were still a few tables available. I really liked the clean and modern interior. They seemed quite busy because it took about 15 minutes before my drink was ready. I ordered their mango pomelo sago since it was highly recommended by others. Even though the drink was preset to 100% sugar, it wasn't super sweet, which I liked. The sago could have been cooked a bit longer so it can be softer and chewier. The mango was refreshing and sweet. I could probably skip the pomelo next time since it didn't make the drink taste better. Glad I stopped by to check this off my list since I've had it bookmarked for a while. I didn't realize that they also had food available too! Would love to try other drinks on their menu next time I stop by.
This place is busy and such a gem! Their Guava tea with salted cream is the best! We also tried matcha Oreo and mango fruit tea with sago, which are some good ones as well. They have a huge menu including food items and everything look delicious I was not able to try this time around but would love to next time! Shop is super cute and can get busy during lunch rush. But staff was friendly and attentive. Def recommend
They are one of the best tea drinks in the area! I think highly recommend one of our favorites is fresh Mango crystal the taste is similar to Hu Lau Shan that specializes in mango drinks and pudding. JuneNov has lots of varieties.
Yummy Unagi Spam Musubi... my favorite! It's so flavorful and huge portion. I decided to try a different drink. I got their mango with pomelo and sago toppings. It was delicious and refreshing. This is one of my favorite Boba places. Be warned, service is slow, but it is worth waiting.
JuneNov makes some of the best mango-flavored teas, and I have become a huge fan over my past few visits. My go-to beverage is the Mango Crystal, which resembles a mango slushy with chunks of mango and a clear, jelly-like topping. The mango flavor is sweet but not cloyingly so and tastes like a perfectly-ripened mango. The drinks only come in one size (large) and are priced accordingly. I haven't tried any of the snacks yet, but there's a whole roster of delicious-sounding food items including ramen, dumplings, and even onigiri. The drinks can take a while to make (ordering 3 drinks took over 10 minutes), but this is likely the case because each drink requires assembly of multiple ingredients. I always order my drinks to-go, but there is plenty of indoor seating, and the cafe is both clean and inviting.
I ordered rose-infused jade tea for pickup, 30% sugar, no ice. I placed my order via phone since at the time, the online ordering wasn't working. The drink wasn't that sweet which is what I intended, and it was floral yet also not quite how rose flavor usually tastes- almost reminds me of melon/gourd tea. A unique and subtler, not super strong or bitter-tasting tea. It's interesting that they left the teabag inside the cup, which is not something I have seen before at a boba shop. I'm unsure if the tea itself came as rose-infused jade tea or if the shop added rose flavoring to what was just jade tea. It was interesting and a unique menu item.
The level of incompetence and inefficiency at this establishment is unbelievable. Employees showed up late to work, and despite us being the very first customers of the day, it still took over 20 minutes to prepare three onigiri. There were no other orders, no rush, and no excuse for such poor service. We're talking about a simple item consisting of rice, seaweed, and a slice of Spam, yet the staff seemed incapable of putting it together in a reasonable amount of time. The lack of professionalism, preparedness, and urgency was obvious from the moment we arrived. If this is how they operate with their first order of the day, I can only imagine how much worse it gets when they're actually busy. Extremely disappointing experience and not somewhere I would recommend.

I stopped at Junenov Tea, getting my matcha and boba then I also ordered some food. Well! I got them from this place. The Taiwanese tempura, Korean fried noodles and crockets are yummy. It fills up nicely on my tummy. The drink is good too. Service was good. They were professional and kind. As far as ambiance goes, it was a typical busy and pretty cool place to hang out. Love it !

This time I tried the food: Ribeye katsu and musubi were very tasty. The Pork Katsu Curry Rice was just about right: not too strong on the curry and the pork was not soaked in the curry sauce too much. The Mango Crystal was still VERY good! Not crowded at all on a Wednesday night. Plenty of parking. Just be mindful they closed pretty early, at 8pm. Clean, bright store. read more

Got the mango sago and it was ok; wasn't too sweet which was great. The pearls seemed a bit over cooked, very soft. I wish they had smaller size drinks. Menu has lots of options including food! I will definitely try something else next time. read more

After tasting black sesame smoothie, I will never be the same! My new favorite drink! The nutty, sweet, comforting flavor has taken over me. I wish I could adjust the sugar to less than 50 percent on that drink, but that's just a minor detail. They have such a unique menu of drinks. They also serve food like ramen, spamusubi, etc. it's a big menu. They're not like other boba places that just have popcorn chicken and fries. The decor is minimal, clean, and elegant at the same time. The drinks and food do take a little while here, but It comes out with quality. read more

Located in a quaint parking plaza, this spot is home to my fave boba right now. The service is quick, the ambiance is classy and trendy, and the food is pretty good. Lets get into it: Dragon lychee green tea (5/5) got it for someone and they said its really good with 30% sweet Kuro goma boba latte (5/5) my fave Creme brulee oreo matcha (5/5) so good Unagi avocado onigiri (5/5) our go to Highly recommend this spot! read more
Tried their ramen today and no regrets it was super delicious! We ordered the Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen and Fried Soft Crab with Ramen. We also ordered 2 appetizers: Fried shrimps with cheese fries and bacon but sucks that they can out of cheese at noontime... Basil Popcorn Chicken definitely hit differently! We will definitely come back here to try other dishes! read more

Stopped by Junenov Tea for a snack & drink. walk in and the place was bright & inviting. was not expecting the expansive amount of drink & snack items on their menu. They had a nice selection of Onigiri, Omurice entrees, dim sum items & a long list of Boba tea items. Tried Unagi Onigiri, Pork Belly Onigiri, Short Rib Onigiri, chicken wings & fried egg yolk taro balls. The Onigiri was great & one was filling. Pricing might seem a little pricey for some, but I enjoyed the food I have tried here. I heard the Ramen is good here. You can place an order for pickup on their website. There are tables inside to sit and a lot of parking. read more
Junenov Tea is a great boba spot that combines classic bubble tea flavors with a modern twist. Their menu offers a wide variety of drinks and food options. I've visited twice, and both times the place was busy but worth the wait. I really enjoyed their drinks! The first time, I ordered the Matcha Oreo Brulee at 50% sweetness, it was the perfect balance of flavor and sweetness. The second time, I tried the Thai Tea Oreo Brulee at 50%, which tasted good but was too sweet for my taste. We also ordered the Okonomiyaki Short Rib Checker Fries, which were flavorful and satisfying, though a bit heavy on the sauce. While we appreciated the generous portions, cutting back on the sauce would make it easier to finish and enjoy fully. Overall, Junenov Tea is a spot I'll definitely return to when I'm in the area. All I can say is wow! this place was great! I was craving boba in the area and decided to give this spot a try, and I'm so glad I did. The shop itself is adorable. Not too big, not too small and has nice high ceilings and a cozy vibe. What surprised me most was that they don't just serve drinks; they also have a solid selection of food items that go way beyond typical boba shop snacks. We started off with drinks and went for the Japanese Matcha Oreo Brûlée with boba, which honestly might be the best boba drink I've ever had. It was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the Mango Sago, which was incredibly refreshing that has a perfect mix of fruity and light. For food, we ordered the calamari and popcorn chicken, both crispy and flavorful. The portions were generous, though I wish dipping sauces were automatically included instead of having to go back and ask. We also got the crab meat avocado musubi, which was so flavorful and fresh for a boba shop! The fried soft shell crab musubi was another standout. Our total came out to about $69, which felt steep for a quick bite, but honestly, the quality and taste made it worth it. My only real complaint is that they need more than one bathroom given how busy this place gets, the line can take a while. I think this is ones of the better boba places in Pleasant Hill / Concord area. They have more than just drinks. I saw they have ramen and other side snacks. I ordered a guava green tea, they didn't have just the guava green tea liquid (the ones just the liquid drink had lemon in it) so instead I had to get the blended drink one without the cheezma. The drink was refreshing and personally I would like the tea to be stronger, it was a bit watered down for me. If they had a stronger tea in this drink it would have been perfect and would have been a new favorite. The interior is this place is modern and chic. A good amount of table but not great for big groups. When is packed the orders can take awhile I would choose this place over milk tea lab. read more

The milk tea had a strong tea flavor that I really enjoyed and the food was pretty good too! We also tried the popcorn chicken and short rib fries. The popcorn chicken had a nice basil flavor but it was on the dry side, and the fries had a bit too much sauce. But can't fault a boba place for their food. We'll be back to try more drinks and grabbing a quick bite! read more

Drinks are always good here. Went here before closing ordered food for to go. Ended up with over cooked and very salty calamari and popcorn chicken. So sad. My daughter was excited to have the food at home but was not able to enjoy it. read more

Stumbled upon this place while we were in the area. Stopped by for a quick bite and drinks and was surprised at how good this place was. We got the red guava lemon breeze and white peach blossom green tea. We also got the fried shrimp onigiri and popcorn chicken. The red guava lemen breeze didnt have a strong guava flavor but it was decent enough. Very light in flavor but very refreshing. The white peach blossom was more floral in taste and very light. I definitely want a more strong tasting tea so I'll have to try something else next time. The popcorn chicken was really good! We got it extra spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice. Very crispy and the chunks of chicken were a good size. The onigiri was also really good! It had the right amount of rice to meat ratio. It doesn't feel like i'm just eating rice. It paired well with the aioli sauce too. We will definitely be back next time we are in thr area to try their othet food. read more

I see why this place gets all the hype but definitely a few things can be improved. I liked the variety of drink choices on the menu so I had a really hard choosing. I should have just stuck with the regular order of something fruity but instead I got the tiramisu milk tea which was overall disappointing. It did not taste like tiramisu at all, it just tasted like it was topped with marshmallow and powder. Aside from that, the oreo matcha was very good and would order that again. We also really enjoyed the shrimp tempura onigiri and the popcorn chicken. I do wish we could have adjusted the spice level just because it seemed a little too spicy. But it was a plus that their food servings were pretty big. The interior was super aesthetic but there was such a weird smell the moment you walked in the door. Even the bathroom smelled better than that. The experience overall would have been better if the employees actually talked to the customers. I spent about $40 for 2 drinks and the food. Each drink was almost $8 which is pretty outrageous but I guess because they only have one size it kind of makes sense? It would be great if they offered different sizes instead of just one. Can't wait to come back and try even more! read more

Does Junenov do catering orders? Delivery or pickup?
I've seen people making large orders and picked them up. I think you can order delivery via door dash. I would recommend giving them a call and ask. They are busy and very popular, so plan ahead.
Is the tea brewed or powders?
Hello AJ, thanks for your inquiry. All our tea are directly imported from Taiwan and are brewed not made from powders!
Are all the ramens pork?
i believe all ramen noodles are pork soup based with pork slices...
