Glad I was able to stop by 5 min before closing on my way home. It was pretty busy inside but there were still a few tables available. I really liked the clean and modern interior. They seemed quite busy because it took about 15 minutes before my drink was ready. I ordered their mango pomelo sago since it was highly recommended by others. Even though the drink was preset to 100% sugar, it wasn't super sweet, which I liked. The sago could have been cooked a bit longer so it can be softer and chewier. The mango was refreshing and sweet. Came here on a fluke, Livermore to American Canyon. This location has plenty of parking. So no worries there. When I did walked in there were plenty of tables that were occupied. That only tells me that this place is legit. The cashier was super sweet, and told me that if I needed help , she is more than willing to. The menu items looked so appealing. Not only did they have drinks but there was food items. Unfortunately i did not order any thing to eat due to my travels, but the next time i'm around , I definitely will. What a pleasant surprise! I'm not sure why I didn't have the highest of expectations, but wow so bomb. I got the peach oolong tea latte (comes with agar boba) and it was refreshing, not too sweet (I got 30% sweetness), and with almond milk. It's unfortunate they can't get their red guava tea right...the last couple of times they did not have red guava at all, and with this most recent visit, they said they did not have lime and asked if that was ok. We said why not, it might still taste ok. The red guava drink did fall flat because it was more on the sweet side despite going down in sweetness to 80%. The lime really did add a tart balance to the drink, so I feel like it should not have been omitted. I think this is ones of the better boba places in Pleasant Hill / Concord area. They have more than just drinks. I saw they have ramen and other side snacks. I ordered a guava green tea, they didn't have just the guava green tea liquid (the ones just the liquid drink had lemon in it) so instead I had to get the blended drink one without the cheezma. The drink was refreshing and personally I would like the tea to be stronger, it was a bit watered down for me. If they had a stronger tea in this drink it would have been perfect and would have been a new favorite. The interior is this place is modern and chic. A good amount of table but not great for big groups. When is packed the orders can take awhile I would choose this place over milk tea lab. read more

We came in on a rainy Sunday evening around 5 PM and it was already almost a packed house. It seemed like most people were there more for the food than the drinks. I see why this place gets all the hype but definitely a few things can be improved. I liked the variety of drink choices on the menu so I had a really hard choosing. I should have just stuck with the regular order of something fruity but instead I got the tiramisu milk tea which was overall disappointing. It did not taste like tiramisu at all, it just tasted like it was topped with marshmallow and powder. Aside from that, the oreo matcha was very good and would order that again. We also really enjoyed the shrimp tempura onigiri and the popcorn chicken. I do wish we could have adjusted the spice level just because it seemed a little too spicy. But it was a plus that their food servings were pretty big. The interior was super aesthetic but there was such a weird smell the moment you walked in the door. Even the bathroom smelled better than that. The experience overall would have been better if the employees actually talked to the customers. I spent about $40 for 2 drinks and the food. Each drink was almost $8 which is pretty outrageous but I guess because they only have one size it kind of makes sense? It would be great if they offered different sizes instead of just one. I love that this side of the East Bay/Contra Costa County has a spot like Junenov Tea- I feel like this is more common in the South Bay area or near Berkeley and Oakland, so to have an awesome Taiwanese focused cafe and restaurant more north is very welcome. I was greeted by the smell of five-spice and tea when walking in. Unfortunately, I'd already had a filling meal prior, but I'll make sure to come hungry next time. They have a lot of seating for diners and a large menu for all your tea and milk tea cravings. They also have meals, in addition to snacks like popcorn chicken, fish balls, dumplings, and calamari (with even more options), so it's perfect for a snack any time of the day. I ordered a 3G tea for my sister and a taro milk tea for myself. I loved the taro boba- the taro flavor was very present and the real taro bits added a freshness and other texture flair. I usually don't go to a spot more than once in the same week, unless I really love what they are selling. And this place is literally like a fine-dine boba shop - LOL! Their menu on snacks and food is not small and super fulfilling. I have not tried any of their milk teas yet, but their fruit drinks are TO DIE FOR. This location is SUPER small, but the line is to the door, so you have to go here at the right time so that you're not caught in the traffic for ordering and waiting. Short Rib Onigri: 10/10 meat is soft and tender. It's literally the size of a cheeseburger. They still give it to you with spam and egg, but with this choice, they do put some greens in it and it made sense to me. Pork Belly Onigri: 9/10 a big thick cut of pork belly. Same take as the short rib. I do wish the skin of the pork belly was a bit crispy, but I still ate it and it was really great. Original Onigri (spam & egg): 10/10 it's not pictured, but that's my husbands favorite without all the fancy meats they offer. He can literally eat 2 of them. Super Lime: 10/10 (not pictured) it was like drinking calamansi juice. Super refreshing and I would totally order it again. Loved the ice that came with it. It was like "hospital ice".
