Absolutely stupid experience with the Pleasant Hill Vitality Bowls location and corporate customer service. We placed a Mother's Day order for pickup Sunday morning. My husband arrived around 8:10 AM, after the store's posted opening time of 8:00 AM, only to find the business completely closed with no communication whatsoever. No call. No email. No cancellation notice. Nothing. What followed was somehow worse. I called the store multiple times throughout the day and left several voicemails that were never returned. I also emailed both the location and corporate customer service and received no response. Corporate didn't answer their phones either. All of this over a $35 order that the business happily charged for but never fulfilled. Today, I went into the store in person to ask for a refund and was met with attitude and defensiveness from the manager instead of accountability or even a simple apology. I was told they "do answer their phones" despite my multiple unanswered calls and voicemails. I was then told they could not issue a refund because it had been "more than two days," even though the delay was entirely caused by their complete lack of response and failure to handle the issue. The store being unexpectedly closed is frustrating enough. Ignoring customers afterward and then treating them poorly when they ask for their money back is unacceptable. I'm still waiting to hear from the "other manager" or "boss" who is supposedly able to process my refund. Who apparently already had my information but was "too busy" to respond to me sooner. Give me a break. At this point, it's not even about the $35. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service. read more

Well, I love their food, and the gentleman from corporate named Patrick is a gem, but unless he intervenes, I continue to get bowls that are 1/3 to 1/2 filled, and missing items in my delivery. I just don't think corporate should have to intervene to have them give you what you paid for. It's really disappointing because the food is phenomenal. But if I order six bowls (and they're not cheap) and I only get five, and those five are only a third of the way filled, there's a problem. And this last time I reached out to Patrick yet again, but he did not respond. Maybe Patrick has his hands full dealing with other complaints, or he's given up on trying to fix this. Either way, it's just sad for a great business. I had also toyed with opening a franchise in Los Angeles, but since I have this problem both in Pleasant Hill and in Lafayette, my concern is that it's a corporate issue, not a store issue. read more

my second time coming to this place and it was terrible. first of, the price is insanely expensive for how long you have to wait for. for example, i had ordered one smoothie, a wrap, and an açaí bowl. i had to wait over 20 mins which caused me to almost get a ticket. secondly, the price you pay does not result in the quality of food you get. the smoothie i got was watered down, portion of toppings to açaí bowl was terrible, the açaí bowl was covered in honey and granola, and the açaí bowl was fruit soup because of how watery it was. terrible place do not go here for quality refreshments and food! read more

Super helpful staff. Inside is huge, so great place to get done work done while you enjoy a beverage or food. The Intensifier with extra ginger was perfect for me. My boyfriend got a large Vitality Bowl with extra granola with no goji berries. I made a mistake in the order and when I called VitalityBowls bowl they were so nice and understanding. Especially because it was my fault. We were able to go back and get the right VitalityBowls that my boyfriend wanted. He wanted almond milk instead of the v blend that they usually put in the bowl. If you want a more creamy bowl I would highly suggest the almond milk. I like the v blend though. read more
