I've ordered from Pressed Juicery a few times while I've had a cold and appreciated the ability to add and subtract items from their acai bowls. I do wish they had the ability to double up on the bee pollen and vitamin c options instead of just a single serving extra, but the dish is always exactly as I order it, even if their paper bowls are a bit thin and tend to leak. I will say that my juice order has come wrong when I've put it in, so if you're on a specific cleanse cycle and need a specific number I would probably walk in instead to make sure you get the correct one, however the sizing of the juices themselves are perfect. Of the two I would choose Pressed Juicery over Palmetto Superfoods, just based on the options they have and how much I enjoyed their final product, so all in all, I've really enjoyed Pressed Juicery's wares and will definitely keep coming back. read more

After a pilates class at Trufusion, my friend and I were on the hunt for a healthy snack as I needed to consume a meal that had their calories listed for a fitness challenge i'm participating in. I haven't been to pressed juicery in a really long time but we decided to scope it out and I was absolutely pleased to find acai bowls with the calories listed (this was a huge win for me as I haven't been eating outside due to the issue of calories not being listen on most menus) My friend & I decided to wait outside and one of the staff members kindly brought our bowls over unexpectedly. I really appreciated it! I wish I got her name, she was a young black woman with the kindest smile on her face. Shout out to her! I decided to go for the Beauty bowl which was 290 calories, and it was the BEST thing I've eaten in the last month. I was really shocked at the entire bowl being only 290 calories. I did my best to eat slow and savor every bite, but couldn't help but think -- i need to learn how to make this myself! After chit chatting with a friend outside, I ended up buying a bowl for my boyfriend and he absolutely enjoyed it as well considering it was a really warm day in Walnut Creek. Just picked up my juice for 5 day cleanse. Ordered online for pick up and it was ready in minutes. Friendly service and I'll update after this week. Only downside of this location is parking can be challenging. More to come. A quick update from Day 1 of my juice cleanse. The "drink one every two hours" instructions is challenging when you wake up at 5a and the last juice is 3p. So either I drink every 3 hrs or I power through my afternoon and evening without. The other big challenge is the sugar. The most popular cleanse is 179 grams of sugar. Per day. I may need to switch to a different cleanse as that seems insane and unhealthy in itself regardless of whether it's naturally occurring. Other cleanses are 70-100 which is better but still not great. It's been a while since the last time I walked into a Pressed (Juicery) and bought things. This location is very clean and not usually crowded - might have a few separate parties inside at a time when I've been there, but nothing too bad. I don't like how high the menus are - hurts my neck, lol. Also difficult to read if more people come inside b/c it's like you need to stand as far back as possible to read all of them in view. Grab drinks yourself in the fridge - if you don't see what you're looking for, ask the person behind the counter. They will most likely have it in one of the fridges behind them or in the back. The shots at the front are just for display, they pull one from the back fridge. Something new that was not offered when I first was a Pressed Juicery customer was seeing açaí on the menu. I tried this for the first time here and it wasn't bad. I thought I was getting a good deal because the smallest bowl was around $10, but the depth of it was shallow and the circumference was wide - making it seem like it was a lot, but it really wasn't that much. I finished it pretty fast, but it looked and tasted good. The setup for their bar was kept tidy and I liked how we could clearly see the toppings and them making it through the clear glass. I had since been back a couple other times to pick up 6 bottles of juice and smoothies each visit. It's $30 for 6 bottles - which if you look at it, you get one for free-ish. My old favorites are no longer my favorites of today (i.e. Roots 3 - it didn't have the same kick it used to). The formula changed. It seems more watery and less potent than they were before. The drinks I did like were the shots - Beauty and Wellness. I have Calm, but am saving it for when I need to knock out as it's supposed to help one fall asleep and the coffee protein and strawberry orange mango smoothies. Juices didn't really stand out as must get again.. though whichever Greens I had was as expected and the hydration dragonfruit was not bad. I believe they have a cart outside still that contains free samples - I think you'd have to help yourself to them as the staff does not introduce it to their customers. I am a regular customer of their protein shakes, but I had to start going to a different location because the shakes at this store have made me sick. On multiple occasions, the shakes were unusually thick and had expired well before the listed date. While I enjoy their shakes, there seems to be an issue at this location that is causing them to spoil--possibly due to improper storage or refrigeration. We asked for a size 2 split into 2 cups, and it ended up being a good small portion for a snack. You get 3 free toppings, and the highlight was the chocolate chip cookie crumble. So decadent. It's a tiny shop with no indoor or outdoor seating, but there's a few benches scattered along the street. Only negative was the man serving us, he was very cold and wasn't kind at all. I came here to try their freeze, which I was pleasantly surprised by! Two stars off for customer service/prices though. To start, the location is very nice, with it being right amongst other great stores and restaurants. The interior is small but cute and clean. I first started by asking the employee to sample the vanilla and chocolate freeze. He did give us samples, but was rather rude about it and was pretty rude when we asked questions about flavors and toppings. I ended up getting the chocolate freeze with strawberries, coconut flakes, cookie crumble, and an almond butter drizzle. The chocolate freeze was actually really good, which I was surprised by. Normally dairy-free soft serves taste watered down, but this was great. The toppings were good as well and tasted very fresh, and the almond butter drizzle was fantastic. The employee who was serving us was rude the entire time, though, and had a holier-than-though attitude. Also, it's pretty pricey for the amount you get. Staff is always really friendly and helpful, you can ask for samples, I signed up with my phone number and on multiple occasions I've gotten free juices and a free birthday freeze (which unfortunately I never used because my birthday is in February and way too cold for ice cream, even if it's free LOL). I was in major need of a cleanse and had to cut weight because I couldn't fit a dress for a wedding. So I've done Cleanse 1, 3, and 4. I think Cleanse 1 is the easiest for beginners because sir has a great blend of juices that are still sweet. I haven't tried Cleanse 2 but that's apparently the most popular. Cleanse 3 has the most amount of green juices and they're still a little bit sweet and not too sweet. And cleanse 4 is the newest cleanse but that was the hardest one for me personally and it says it's for the more advanced juicers. Less sweet drinks but they really do cleanse.
