    My 3 Twist Combos
    Steve D.

1247 S California Blvd Walnut Creek, CA 94596 (Between Olympic Blvd and Botelho Dr) Yogurtland-Walnut Creek is offering 24 flavors with it's 8 fro-yo machines! That's right! 8 machines = 16 flavors + 8 Twist combo= 24 flavors. This Yogurtland is in a small plaza, along with Habit Burger and Kokolo Donburi. I have been to Yogurtland locations in Mountain View, San Jose, Fremont and Alameda. This place is somewhat narrow, with limited indoor seating. But it does have alot of patio tables. Even though it's limited in space, it still has a full size counter for toppings and a green tiled wall of 8 machines. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I decided to try three twist combos. They were all delicious! Creamy smooth, with no icy bite. Little or no chalky after-taste. I don't usually get toppings. I only want to experience that soothing cold chill. March 25, 2024- Price per Ounce= 77 cents. they subtract 0.6 for the cup weight (tare) Cashier was very friendly and polite. She didn't ask if it was "for here" or "to-go," so I'm guessing there's no service fee for eating your fro-yo inside. FYI, some locations charge an extra service fee if you eat inside. That's why they ask you if it's "to-go?" I had a nice experience at this location, but it got a bit crowded with the limited space. Free parking in lot.

Yogurtland is fantastic! Janet was super friendly and kept the place and counters spotless . The variety of flavors is always impressive, and everything was well-maintained. We can't wait to come back!

We are regulars at this Yogurtland. It is always clean and space is welcoming. Today a very kind Indian woman was at the register. She was really sweet to the elderly couple in front of us. She was also very kind to me and my girls. The frozen yogurt and toppings are always fresh here. Big thumbs up for this Yogurtland!

I have a hard time finding froyo places at home so when I was staying with my grandpa I definitely indulged. Worth it! It was a cozy spot to sit and take a break and I had a great experience

What better place to come to on a warm sunny day no other than YOGURTLAND! My lady loves this place more than I do because she's got a sweet tooth but, I love the variety of flavors they offer and I feel like some of the non common flavors change often so it keeps your palate refreshed. They do have social distancing markets in places and throughout my time in the store, everyone was following the rules which was good. Bring your kids here because they'll love it, hey, even bring yourself here. No disappointments.

** The following review reflects my experience prior to the shelter-in-place order currently in effect. ** Much like a book shouldn't be judged by its cover, the quality of a frozen yogurt shop shouldn't be judged by the number of self-serve spigots it has. Quantity yes, quality...well. It's also an open invitation to make a gluttonous glob in your cup and then suffer the ultimate humiliation of breaking the weight scale when you place your cup on it. OK, I didn't break it, but I did fill my cup with two nonfat flavors, Banana Foster and Cheesecake, and the no-sugar-added Chocolate Twilight, in a swirl of sweet and somewhat irreconcilable delights. I added insult to injury by scooping some strawberries in there (photo: https://bit.ly/2Y6q7tm). By the way, there were sixteen spigots here. FROYO - 3 stars...a whole lotta flavors, probably too many for a non-sampler like me AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...it's Yogurtland! SERVICE - 3 stars...uhh, it's self-serve TOTAL - 3 stars...not sure if the self-serve concept will survive post-COVID-19 RELATED - Exploring Walnut Creek? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2x1rlsD

Taste: 5 Value: 5 Service: awesome Thank you to the cashier at Yogurtland who told us to come back in a few days for the not super well advertised BOGO deal for National Froyo Day. It was SO worth it for the additional loaded cup (and we really did load up that second time). Rocket pop is the flavor of froyo I didn't know I needed in my life and really went for every time. I would normally tend to the creamier flavors, but Rocket pop really takes you back to childhood and to the refreshing fruity sorbet goodness. Can't wait to go back again!

Always a quick in and out. Bummed that the flavors are not always in stock. However, I do enjoy the seasonal options. The staff and service is always good and friendly. I don't recommend hanging out inside, it's pretty small with limited seating. There are a few tables outside but I always take mine to go and walk around the mall.

Hi! Curious if there are any vegan options?

They almost always have one vegan option. Usually a fruity flavor. We've had the rocket pop which we don't love but the big pop flavor is good.

There were many to choose from, and I'm so glad I overheard the other customers ahead of us saying that the vanilla salted almond toffee flavor was what they are known for. We ended up getting that flavor as one of our two. For our second flavor of two scoops, we ended up getting the marshmallow neapolitan. -Vanilla salted almond toffee: I can see what the other customers meant for "this is what they're known for." I love that the almond is candied/carmelized with toffee. It gives it a roasty flavor, which gives the flavor so much depth. The almond also gives a bit of crunch/texture, which makes this flavor so unique. -Marshmallow neapolitan: I'm not typically someone who likes marshmallows or goes for neapolitan, as I don't like super sweet and I don't like mixing flavors. You can definitely taste all 3 flavors--vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. The marshmallow doesn't make the ice cream as sweet as I would have thought, it really just adds the marshmallow texture. The ice cream is very thick and creamy. It doesn't melt too fast to meld all the flavors together (which I don't really like), and I really appreciate that the ice cream holds together so well! The gentleman helping us was very patient in letting us try several flavors. The shop had a more old time feel. There is a bench to sit on to eat for a bit, but no tables. Overall, I would totally come back to try their unique flavors!

They also have boba tea (which also originated in Taiwan), milk tea, regular ice cream, freshly cooked Chinese finger foods, and more. The place has tables inside and out and is always immaculate. I also really appreciate that they don't add the problem of landfills overflowing with plastics! They use real dishes and real silverware. I don't know of any other place that conscientious. I have been going here for 8 years. It was started by a couple from Taiwan and the owners the last several years are from China. They keep the place open seven days a week, but even with that grueling work schedule, the customer service is always fantastic. They go out of their way to keep their customers happy. Poor, old, formerly great Fenton's. I grew up in Piedmont, I've been going there all of my life…read more Nowadays, I avoid going in, because the service was so rude so many times, I gave up. But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this. Sad.
