I'm a Jamba girlie through and through. My goto is the Aloha Pineapple minus the banana, sub extra pineapple chunks, and always with a boost. Before heading home from an overnight getaway, we stopped for some Jamba in this cute little plaza. The area was clean, open, and gave off a chill vibe. People seemed friendly enough too. Parking though? Kinda rough. If you're shopping in the plaza, there's a decent parking structure a bit down the way. But if you're like me and just wanna run in for a quick smoothie fix, good luck finding a spot right in front. This time I switched it up and went with my second fave: the White Gummy. Also delicious, as always. I decided to try a couple of new snacky bites and ordered the chicken empanadas and mozzarella cheese bites. The cheese bites? Solid. I mean, fried cheese is always a yes from me. The empanada... meh. Kinda bland. It needed a little somethin'..... maybe even the cheese from the other bites, honestly. Can't say much about the service since I ordered through the self-serve screen and grabbed my stuff when it was ready. Easy enough. Thank Jamba for another great smoothie. mmmm read more

Have to come here and give this place its stars, they deserve it!!! I've been coming here for about three years since I moved to this part of Pleasant Hill and I must say this location has been extremely consistent, professional, and well run. I often see employees cleaning or doing a proactive activity when I walk in and nobody is in the store. They are always quick to greet you and super friendly, and man, they are fast to get your smoothie out! Very small store like most other Jamba Juice's so no real seating except for outside benches but if you like Jamba Juice, this is definitely a great location to stop at!!! Have always loved Jamba but have not gone in a long while! My all time favorite and my go to drink for many years is orange-a-peal! It's no longer on the menu but they can still make it. I went in recently on a hot day and to my surprise a medium drink costs almost $10!! I was just in shock! It tasted the same, good as ever, but tough to stomach the $10 Jamba drink. read more

It was not too crowded with 3 employees working on orders. What we noticed was it was dead quiet. No music playing in the store, the employees didn't greet anyone nor were they talking to each other. They looked super depressed and it felt like they would rather be digging ditches in the heat than making smoothies in the AC. We couldn't wait to get out of there! My girlfriend, her son and I got some food yesterday (July 14) - we arrived later than expected, but everything was still cold. My girlfriend had 1 impossible sandwich, a drink, and a fruit bowl with cocowhip. Her son also had a drink, 2 impossible sandwiches, and a bowl with blueberries, strawberries, banana, waffle pieces and cocowhip. He ate a small portion of the bowl then stated he didn't like it, and the rest was offered to me, and I ate it (different spoon) - everything tasted fine. I also finished my drink (it was not shared). She informed me that with the reaction of the people at the counter that it seemed like they might've been high (nothing to substantiate that, just an impression). A few hours later her son was not feeling well. He ended up vomiting several times throughout the afternoon and evening. It was not until much later that night that I began vomiting. Only his fruit bowl was shared between him and myself. Only he and I puked. I have no desire to go back to this location and will avoid getting any fruit bowls going forward, though I'm sure that is also true of my girlfriend and her son. read more

Jamba Juice has stolen my heart! Hands down, the BEST smoothie chain around and you know it! Most Jamba Juice chains are fairly consistent when it comes to the quality of their drinks, so I won't really focus too heavily on this. But what separates this location from the rest for me is strictly the service! Yes folks; good service is still a hot commodity these days. And, this Jamba serves up waaay more than just smoothies and juices. I absolutely love coming here. I never have to wait long. I'm greeted as soon as I walk in with bright smiles and happy faces. The staff here is extremely pleasant! They work well together and you can tell that they enjoy working here. They are quick to let me know about their new drinks and current promotional offers and discounts. Coming here made me learn that not all Jamba Juices are the same. This location isn't too far away from me, but there are two other locations that are actually closer. I pass both of these up just to come here because the people who work here are super friendly. Everyone works hard too. You won't find that one lone employee who's sitting around doing nothing. They really know how to maximize their time and I think that's why the wait isn't as long as it would be at some of the other locations. It's always scrupulously clean inside! It's tinier than most, but you can still enjoy your smoothie indoors if you choose to. Parking can be tough if you're trying to park right in front, but I'm always able to find parking in the back. Heeey, party in the baaack! I'm sorry... I had to do it. So, I can't end this review without putting in a little blurb about what makes Jamba Juice so great! Their SMOOOTHIES! Heeelllaaa good! If you've never tried it before, you better get on it. I'm about to put you up on game right quick! You might never go back to your regularly scheduled program after this! I also adore banana berry and their great greens juice. I've recently started drinking more juices and I really enjoy Jamba's green juice selections. Pretty much any smoothie or juice that you'll get from here will be golden. I'm a huge fan of their oatmeal and their delicious baked goodies! Banana and brown sugar oatmeal all day, errryyyday! I always try to snag one of their apple and cinnamon waffles when they have it. They usually tend to sell out of them in the morning. I frequent this location often and have never had a problem until today. While on my way to an appointment in Dublin, I ordered a Pitaya Bowl on the Jamba Juice app. As I picked up my bowl from inside the store, I was told "sorry, we don't have any spoons." Ok - well how am I suppose to eat a bowl with a spoon? The employee told me I could go across the street to Chipolte and get a spoon there. Are you kidding me??? I asked for my money back. The same employee went to the register and handed me a receipt for .35 cents. Excuse me but I paid $9.60 for a bowl that I have no means of which to eat it. The employee said that my credit card will be credited and that she can't give me a receipt for the transaction. She also said my account will still be charged for the .35 cents service charge that they have recently added when you order off the app. The employees knew that they were out of spoons in the morning yet did nothing to ensure that they had spoon for their customers. When I asked why didn't they go and buy some spoons, I was told that they weren't allowed to leave the store. Although apologetic, this was a very bad experience. No breakfast for me, charged a service charge for an item that I couldn't eat and who knows if I will get my money back as I have nothing to prove that my account was credited. read more

This was such a bummer of a potentially good drink! Came in here to try the new matcha green tea with the coconut foam on top. What I got was a watered down, flavorless pre made matcha tea, in a cup filled to the brim with crushed ice, and some foam on top. There was maybe half of the actual cup filled with liquid because of how much ice they put in there! 6 bucks down the drain ‍ such a waste of money! It's a no for me, I'll spend my money elsewhere. Parking is good. 3 stars because there were couple of times that everything is fine. Place an order online or in person then move on. Simple and easy. Today prompted me to post this review to avoid having the same headaches for anyone else. Made an online order through the Jamba Juice app. DoorDash delivered it. Check the order, got the order wrong. Called and went to voicemail. Called again and finally talked to someone. Explained that I got wrong order. I was supposed to get a Waffle Parfait but I just got a waffle. The guy repeated the order back to me and system say it's just a waffle. I'm already aggravated since he's almost saying that I'm making this up. I explained that I got online emailed confirmation that I'm not lying. Finally the person suggested he could make it and have me come down to get it. Why would I do that when it's a delivery? He'll refund me for it instead. If there's a food quality issues and you order it in person. Still nearby then you have opportunity to go back and complain. But to me, it's embarrassing especially when it's busy. It's better to do it through food delivery app like DoorDash since it's entirely impossible to get through calling this store when they're busy or no one answers or it goes to voicemail. I have always had a wonderful experience whenever I frequent this location. The employees have been nothing less than professional and keep a clean work environment. The drinks taste great, I always try and order a shot of wheatgrass whenever I can. They always include an orange slice next to the shot of wheatgrass which is very much appreciated. Whenever I order one of the baked goods, it is warm and tastes freshly made. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare after 2pm, but there are plenty of spots located in the parking lot behind the store. read more

I've been sitting on this all day and I've decided to say something. I know this is a Jamba Juice, most people come in and get their drink then leave. Minimal interaction. Today was different, my fiancé and I had just taking our cat (she's our everything) to the vet for an emergency. Anybody who has had a pet knows that pets are family and you end up loving them more than your own friends sometimes. So as you could probably figure, we were both a mess. I took my fiancé to Peet's for some coffee and I was like "I'm going to get a Jamba Juice because that will make me feel better" We walk in and are greeted by an employee with green / blue short hair, and teal colored crocs. I don't remember their name but I wish I would have asked so I could credit them. They greeted us with an infectious smile and probably one of the best attitudes I've ever witnessed. I order my drink and when I was handed my drink, I was still shown a level of care and graciousness I normally wouldn't see. It was a step above genuine customer service and it helped the feelings we were feeling. That little act of kindness was enough to help us handle the situation at hand. I cannot thank this employee enough and whatever manager is reading this, I hope you recognize and praise this person. They are the epitome of what a good attitude can do for a complete stranger. In addition, their smoothies are very good too, and I appreciate the professional yet friendly approach their associates have on their customers. You could really tell that they like their job. My usual go-to drink are either the Apple 'n Greens, or the Ginger 'n Greens. It has so much nutritional ingredients that the kale doesn't taste funny which is cool with me. They obviously know how to blend the right amount of fruit and veggie(s) together, it helps I presume to maximize your drinks flavor and nutritional worth! Pleasant Hill is a middle class town, nestled between the more working class towns to the north and east (Martinez, Pittsburg, Antioch) and the upper middle class towns on the 24 and 680 corridors (Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Danville, San Ramon). This confluence of socio-economic strata can be observed in this one Jamba Juice. I went in on a recent Saturday afternoon. Working there behind the counter were 1 African American, 1 Indian American, 2 Hispanic Americans, and 1 Japanese American. In other words, young kids of color working a job to earn some money to spend or pay for college expenses at DVC. On the other side of the counter, as in customers? Caucasian families with their younger kids before or after a movie, or groups of white teens shopping and just hanging out in the area. It just struck me, the difference in the groups working to make Jamba Juice and those just enjoying the Jamba Juice. Just sayin! Those of you who think Jamba Juice is a healthy and low-fat drink, think again. Did you ever read the food labels of each concoction in the binder on the counter, as in ingredients and content? 16 oz Strawberry Wild: somthing like 240 calories, and 57 grams of sugar. Yes, the fruit contains most of the sugar. Next up size of the Green Tea Mancha Blast? Care to guess? There is no sweet fruit in this recipe. It has something like 350 calories and 87 grams of sugar! Where is all the sugar coming from? This drink has green tea powder, caffeine (75 grams) non-fat yogurt, soy milk, and that is about it! A can of coke has about what, 40 - 50 grams of sugar? Does non-fat yogurt have 87 grams of sugar? Or do they just pour a huge batch of fructose, or maybe just sugar water or syrup? This Jamba is like any other Jamba. It gets busy, you wait longer than you think you should have to for your drink, there is nothing to do while you wait, there aren't enough chairs or tables, and there is little to eat. Just get your sugared Jamba Juice, drink it and be happy! Don't look at the ingredients, Please! And don't make social commentary either! read more

I live close by and visit this location almost every Thursday morning for the "thirsty Thursday" deal (large for the price of a medium) on the way to work, and I've always had great experiences. Zora, the owner, is one of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met. After the first time I went to this location and was served by her, I didn't have time to go back for a couple weeks, but the next time I walked back through the door she remembered me by name and welcomed me as if I was her close friend. She's amazing. Jamba Juice can be hit or miss sometimes, but I've never had a bad experience at this location.
