I've had a consistent experience at all the Uji Time locations I've been to! Great ice cream :) My friend and I came here for dessert after dinner nearby, and it was packed with teens and families. It's a popular spot in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. You order on one (very big) screen, and an employee was also taking orders at the register which was nice. Swirl in a cup ($6.95): Love that the matcha and ube flavors are strong! Was still able to sleep at my regular bed time, so maybe the matcha caffeine isn't too strong if you're worried about that lol. My friend got the seasonal flavor, pineapple, and that was good too! Not exactly like dole whip, I would say creamier. The black sesame flavor was also excellent. It is piled high, a bang for your buck :) I forgot they also have drink and snack options, so I'll be back to try those!

There are only a couple of tables and it's limited for any parties bigger than 4 or so. They have both soft serve and ice cream, but not in the same flavors- so just note that. They carry drinks, snacks and ice cream Of course- it all looks very appetizing. If you plan on getting more than one flavor of ice cream, they have recommendations. They also have flavors of the season (not sure how often it is switched). They recommend Ube and matcha together, so that is what I did. I purchased the Taiyaki cone (fish cone) filled with red bean paste, on top of Matcha and Ube soft serve. It was Delicious! It is such a good combo, both flavors are good by themselves but together with the cone and red bean paste was delectable. You can get the ice cream inside the cone but since I was driving and taking it to go- I wanted to avoid accidents. I should mention that staff was patient, kind were accommodating when I didn't order correctly. I forgot to ask for the ice cream in a cup with the cone on top when ordering. I am trying the pineapple soft serve next
Cute little sweet shop, very clean. Service was fast. Matcha ice cream was fairly large portion, flavor was ok, not very strong. The taiyaki fish was pre-made, so didn't taste fresh. Not worth the price.

This was my first time in the actual store (my previous orders were delivery). There's a couple of tables inside to enjoy your drinks and it's decorated pretty cute. Lots of parking available in the shopping center. I would come back!
Their current seasonal flavor is lavender, so I had to try it. In general, I do like floral flavors in ice cream, but a lot of people at my table tried what I ordered and thought the lavender soft serve was a little too soapy. I actually did not mind that at all. Needless to say, the lavender flavor really came through, lol. The consistency was great, just like their other soft serve, very smooth and creamy. I just was not sure if the floral flavor paired well with the red bean filling I chose for the inside of my fish-shaped cone. We also ordered their matcha soft serve, which used to be my favorite, but the matcha flavor yesterday did not seem as strong as I remembered. Other than that, my experience was really great. The store was nice and clean, and even though we had a party of six, we were able to get the largest table, which was perfect. It was also very well air conditioned, which felt amazing given the unusually hot weather we have been having in Concord in the middle of March. I would definitely love to come back again soon and order their ube flavor, which is my favorite.

It had a strange after taste, almost tasted burnt and bitter. The Matcha and ube ice cream were much better, but still not blown away. The fishes were alright, I wish they were warmer. The chocolate puff balls were OK. They were a little too thick and bready for my taste - I like them a bit crisper Overall I don't think I'd come back, but worth giving a try if you're craving some Asian sweets
First, I love ice cream places like this. Unfortunately they kind of missed the mark. The service is a little lacking since i asked for Caramel on mine and got oreo crumbles and my fiance asked for matcha ice cream but instead they gave him my flavor. It's good but not great. The cone tastes a little burnt, just not as good as some others. Still, fun place to try on a hot day.
Uji time has is one of the best dessert spots in the area! They are located in the same plaza as Tasty Pot and 85* Bakery. There is plenty of parking around. The establishment is always clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly. There is a tablet available for ordering, but the staff is also ready to assist you if you prefer to place your order at the counter. I've tried many of their drinks and one thing I can say about this location is that they are always consistent. I have my favorite drinks and they always taste great. When I tried new ones, the drinks were always well-balanced and flavorful. Some of my favorite drinks are the Yusu Passionfruit. This drink is refreshing, well-balanced, and always delicious! I also loved their Ube Shake, Panda Milk Tea, and Mango Sago. They are all great drinks! I've also tried several of their ice cream flavors, and they are always creamy and not overly sweet. You also receive a lot with every order. Every time I walk into this store I can smell the freshly made Taiyaki Cones. They are always making them fresh! Getting ice cream with the Taikaki cone is the perfect dessert. Overall Uji Time is one of the best dessert places in the area!
Nice spot for dessert, especially after hitting up one of the delicious restaurants in the area! We went on a Sunday night, so it was a bit busy, but the lines moves quickly! It also helps that you can order with a touchscreen in addition to the regular line. I ordered a Thai Tea boba (I'm basic, I know, lol), and it was great.

Came by with the fam for an after dinner treat. We got some mochi, yuzu/sesame & chocolate soft serve. All were fantastic! The mochi was chewy on the outside with a nice, not too hard, ice cream on the inside. All three flavors of the soft serve were amazing...especially the yuzu! Tables are always dirty, which given the food being served, is understandable. Lots of seating inside plus a public restroom. The price is a bit high but totally worth it. We got the matcha soft serve with the fish (taiyaki) on top and the yuzu dragon fruit tea with vanilla soft serve. matcha w/ taiyaki on top - 9/10, matcha flavor is earthy and delicious. the soft serve itself is smooth and creamy--definitely pairs well the taiyaki cone. we also added red bean to inside of our cone which was delicious. yuzu dragonfruit tea w/ vanilla - 7/10, drink was refreshingly tart, had both notes of dragonfruit and yuzu. with the vanilla soft serve, the drink became creamy and more subtle which paired really nicely. We used the kiosk to order so not too much interaction with staff; however, the staff working to prepare our order worked quickly. The interior of the place was cute and modern, plus had a couple of tables with few chairs + a long bench kind of table--definitely a great place to hang out with friends/family. Overall, soft serve and drinks are decent but a little pricey. read more

First-time trying this place today! I ordered the Matcha + Ube soft serve--it was tasty but quite mild in flavor. It's a good option for those who prefer their matcha light. Personally, I love a strong, rich matcha taste, so I felt it was just okay--pleasant, but not amazing. I also tried the Tiger Black Sugar drink (50% sweetness, less ice). Honestly, the tea flavor wasn't strong at all. Compared to Sharetea in Hercules, this one doesn't quite measure up in terms of richness and depth. Still, it was drinkable. The Matcha Milkshake was enjoyable with a nice texture, though the matcha again was on the lighter side. You get a faint aroma, but for the price, it's acceptable. Overall, this place is pretty good--clean space, decent pricing, and friendly service. Just know that if you're looking for a bold, authentic matcha experience, you might be better off visiting a dedicated matcha shop. This spot leans more toward light, dessert-style treats that satisfy a sweet craving rather than delivering intense tea flavors. The shop is quite small with limited seating, but that didn't bother me. Summary based on two visits: I'll come back for the convenience, they have a variety of selection on the menu. Staff are friendly. Drinks: We tried Tiger Black Sugar, Thai Milk Tea, Ube Milkshake - all satisfyingly sweet but not cloying. Smooth and creamy. You could actually taste the main flavor unlike other places. Soft Serve Ube was good too! Don't forget to try their seasonal flavors; during our visit it was green apple - it was delectable and did not have synthetic taste, very good. Customer Service: Friendly and as expected. Nothing worth noting. Space: Small space. If I'm not mistaken, there is a big table (can sit 6 people comfortably plus two at the ends) in front and smaller tables (4 people) towards the back, maybe around Four. Fantastic Flavors and Friendly Service! Came in on a Saturday evening and found a small line, but it moved quickly. The person who helped us (loved their cool piercings!) was incredibly patient and friendly. We weren't sure what the sesame flavor tasted like, and they kindly offered a sample, which was much appreciated. We ordered taiyakis and an ube milkshake--everything was amazing! don't order boba here. i should've known better than to go to a combo place where they do other foods + boba, but it was right near a store i was at. i got a hokkaido smoothie and my boyfriend got a piña colada smoothie. tell me why the drinks were .... WARM?? like room temperature SMOOTHIES? literally had to go home and throw them in the freezer for two hours to get it cold enough and smoothie consistency. i'm assuming the lady just messed up the ratios and didn't make it right, but what a waste of like $17 or whatever that was. never again. read more

Had Uji time at first in Berkeley and I don't come often in this area, and it was a nice little surprise without looking for it. Straight up soft serve swirl is what I almost always get. Just depends on my mood if I want the fish. Ube and Matcha the perfect combo. read more

For some reason, I've found that this Uji Time location is either good or bad. Came here after dinner to get some dessert. I was craving some ice cream. I got the honeydew (special limited time) and black sesame soft serve. They were both great. I wanted it in the fish cone, but for some reason they said they didn't have any left and weren't going to make anymore. Although they were attentive and served us quickly, I was disappointed with my ice cream. I ordered vanilla and chocolate soft serve with Oreo crumbs and Carmel. It tasted off, like some flavor of coffee. The Oreo didn't really taste like Oreo, and they sprinkled very little. The taiyaki hardly had any Nutella in there, same deal with the red bean one my sister ordered. Sadly not planning to come back again unless they seem to change directions. After our meal, my Mom was in the mood for a different ice cream experience. A quick Yelp search led us to Uji Time Dessert since it was close by and fun! Coming on a weekend, the place was packed! Lots of families and younger customers dropping in. There are a few small tables and a bigger table for a larger group. The vibes are casual and cute with Asian-inspired decor. Workers are informative, quick to get some items out versus others and try their best to juggle turnover. My Mom, Pop, and cousin all got Soft Serve in a Taiyaki Cone. They loved it--I wish vegan flavors were available as it looked tasty. I got the Taro Milk Tea with Soy Milk and Boba. The taro was chalky and powdery, I could tell it wasn't mixed well. The boba was also hard and not easy to chew. Even with less sugar, it was quite sweet. We also shared a Matcha Egg Puff Skewer with Mochi Topping. I felt like the matcha flavor wasn't present--it was just bright green. There wasn't much mochi inside either which was disappointing. Uji Time Dessert is a popular Bay Area spot with a few locations. They serve Japanese and Asian sweets with a twist--but from my experience can be a hit or miss. Find them in the shopping plaza off Willow Pass Road with ample parking in the lot. read more

Enjoyed the Asian inspired flavors here! They offer soft serve and ice cream in a variety of flavors, as well as teas, mochi ice cream, and some snacks. As someone who loves black sesame, I thought their black sesame flavor was a tad bitter, but I liked their matcha soft serve. I had red bean takoyaki and realized while I was eating it that they use whole red beans. All of the staff were very kind and allowed us to taste the flavors before we ordered. The decor on the walls is cute and there's even a gocha type game in the corner. FYI their bathroom is out of service right now (April 2025). read more
