While my mom was getting her pedicure I stopped by here to get some bread to go and coffee. Their bread is delish. This time I did try their cloud mango cake. Loved it! The bread was moist, the homemade cream was creamy and delish with little mango chunks . I also decided to try their tiramisu latte. It was so good, creamy chocolateee smooth with a coffee kick, and the homemade whipped cream was so good. The blueberry cream cheese danish was good, it really was cream cheese, so if you're looking for the gasoline station danish (YOU KNOW THE ONE), this is a little different. I also asked for the Honey Lavender matcha latte as a frap and it was so delicious! You can really taste the honey, which is sometimes overpowered at other drink places. The person who helped check me out was nice and friendly and got my order ready promptly. It got busier when I got there, but there are plenty of seats! I ordered for pick up, and unfortunately I didn't notice that there was hair in one of the pastries I ordered until I got home. I had a roller coaster moment of feelings about this visit to Tous Les Jours! I was happy to venture out into the rain to go to Tous Les Jours thinking that they would have some of the cream filled donuts due to the inclement weather (rainy weather typically means less customers to contend with )! I was even happier to walk into this bakery of delectable delights to see that indeed the cream filled donuts were available!!! The white speckled sugar coated donuts all looked enticing behind the transparent glass sliding doors, all topped off with their beautifully piped cream hats of flavor representation- mango, pistachio, strawberry, matcha, vanilla ... (pastry conundrum of what to get!!! ) The lucky cream filled donut flavors picked: mango, strawberry, and pistachio. (Mind you, these looked stunningly delicious to get your tastebuds wet, even though you are no longer out in the rain!) The nice TLJ staffer packed the goodies nicely (so I thought). The packaging for the baked butter buns and cream filled donuts arrived to the gathering safely! Eyes were on the beautiful TLJ box ... ... Opened to a visual disappointment!!! I was let down and felt betrayed! The cream filled donuts' beautifully piped tops were no longer visually appealing, but a rather messy smushed gob of cream abuse!!! I was also disappointed that the box top tasted it before my friends and I did!!! How rude!!! TLJ please do better in prepping your cream filled donuts for transport!!! I didn't know this location was in Pleasant Hill, after liking the Livermore and Dublin locations. This location is a bit smaller than the ladder, but has a decent selection and is in a good spot with plenty of parking. If you're looking for something savory or sweet, or a range of hot or iced beverages, give them a try. If you're looking for certain items, you can ask the bakers and they'll, at times, surprise you and bring what you are looking for. I will say, in this location, the cashiers are not as sociable or welcoming. They often do not greet you with a smile, and appear to just be trying to get the transaction done, and they just place your drinks on the counter without calling out your order- very strange. A decent spot for quick pick ups, in a clean location. The prices are higher than necessary, but pieces can be individually packaged if you are buying for a larger group. Their cakes are pretty, but pricey, and I've not tried them to see if it's worth the coin. Test them out for yourselves to see if you like the vibes. Walking into Tous Les Jours for the first time almost took my breath away! Being a bakery fanatic, I'm shocked that I've never been here before. I've had friends tell me about the Blueberry Cloud Cake in the past and I never had the chance to try it. Gosh, I was so excited when I first walked in. I really enjoyed how clean & aesthetic the store was. Simple store design allowed for the pastries and cakes to speak for themselves. I was in love with the way the savory items were laid out next to each other. I also really enjoy a self-serve bakery. The prices weren't too outrageous either, especially considering that everything is made fresh. What really caught my eye was their fruit flavored soft breads. We grabbed a Honeydew Melon Soft Bread and a Banana Soft Bread. Both brightly colored soft loaves filled with cream that was flavored to their respective fruit for only $3.95 each! I was pleasantly surprised with how delicate the bread was and how much structure the cream filling had. The fruit flavor stood strong and the bread had just the right amount of sweetness. We also got one Portuguese Egg Tart. Oh my goodness- it was caramelized to perfection and the custard itself was so soft and nutty. The layers of the pastry were incredible. The cashiers were quite neutral and probably see people constantly in awe by the products all day long, so I'm sure they're used to it. They definitely are efficient and will start ringing up whatever is on your tray while you're looking at all the goodies they have on their counter. Always walked past this but decided to drop by one night on the way back home and I will be coming back! This shop is located in a small business plaza with plenty of available parking and it's right on the corner of the plaza so foot traffic isn't bad at all outside. The inside is well kept and meets a nice cafe aesthetic. I usually go to other places looking for cream puffs but they can be so out of the way, but i was glad to find the pack of cream puffs here and try them out! I tried the normal cream puffs but they have some with chocolate shells as well. I honestly had to limit myself, there were so many fun pastry options! I came around 8-9 and grabbed the last croquette which was the kimchi flavor, but they also have other flavors as well. I really LOVE the variety of pastries here, all the savory and sweet alike were very tasty. The flavor and the texture of the baked goods are all great. I really appreciate that the pastries are not overly sweet but also still flavorful. Everything is decently priced in my opinion but definitely more expensive than other bakeries in the area. I'm obsessed with this little bakery! The pastry selection is amazing with so many sweet and savory options, from the cutest little pastries to sandwiches and hot dogs. Stopped by Tous Les Jours in Pleasant Hill and absolutely loved it! The space is bright, welcoming, and filled with the most tempting display of pastries it's impossible to choose just one. I tried the Iced Pumpkin Latte and the Iced Tiramisu Latte, and both were fantastic. The pumpkin latte had that perfect balance of spice and sweetness festive without being overpowering. This was hands down the best pumpkin flavored coffee I've ever had. After trying the tiramisu latte I know why it was a finalist for the 2024 coffee awards. It was smooth, creamy, and just indulgent enough. It was so dang good! For pastries, I grabbed the Chocolate Pretzel and the Sausage Foliage (a savory pastry). The pretzel had a nice balance of flaky texture and rich chocolate flavor, and the sausage pastry was buttery, warm, and satisfying a great savory option to pair with coffee. A solid alternative if you enjoy the Paris Baguette vibe, granted it is also another French inspired Korean bakery chain. Being that it tries to differentiate itself from Paris Baguette I would say the differences are mainly in some of their flakey pastries (butter pastries) where they had a Yuzu Pie and their danishes had a nice cross weave pattern that visually looks appealing Of the various things I saw I would say the most impressive was the Egg Custard Pastry, despite many Cantonese places have this the buttery-ness of the flakey crust was definitely decadent without being overly oily The other items were okay if I were being honest, it's less wow and more just a visually striking piece. The Yuzu pie was light on the yuzu flavor and honestly tasted like sugar with some yuzu infusion. As for the guava danish I would suggest going to a well known Cuban bakery in LA if you want a good one, the guava was muted in flavor and more aesthetic than taste I would say as a whole it's a great place but given that there's so many outstanding bakeries in the Bay Area that are worthy of your attention this one doesn't quite strike as a must go to but a nice to check out, simple decor, and a quaint seating area The appeal this place would draw is likely their selection of pre-made cakes that I have tried separately and enjoyed. The reason for the lower review is merely because it does baked goods well enough but if I were to get the chocolate avalanche again (pain au chocolate) I would go a number of other bakeries in the Bay that have a much better pastry crust. While I live closer to a Paris Baguette, after my first visit here I think I prefer Tous Les Jours! These two bakery chains have a lot of similarities. This store was nice and clean, and well organized. What caught my attention at first is that there are more individually wrapped items at Tous Les Jours, keeping them fresher longer. But the ultimate reason I prefer TLJ is because this bakery's pastries tasted better! I didn't like how the donuts look but I tried the vanilla one which looked the best. The first bite of my donut was bitter because the oil they used to fry these donuts was stale. The oil tasted old and when oil gets old it turns bitter. My husband also said his donut tasted bitter. There was tons of grease on my donut and I feel like they left the donut in the oil too long and the oil was stale. There were subtle bitter notes almost in every bite because of the stale oil. I could not taste the vanilla in their vanilla custard. This was essentially a very cheap tasting and bad tasting donut that was meant to look expensive and fancy. They put it in a box so the presentation is nice. It's misleading because this donut is probably one of the worst donuts I've ever had. This location is so pretty! Love their seasonal winter decor, super cute and tastefully done. My partner and I have loved Tous Les Jours for forever. My beautiful wife, who's Parisian, had us try their Croque monsieur, and the potato croquette. I wasn't disappointed, she said it's as close as it gets to being a true French pastry! Tous Les Jours is located in the shopping center next to California Grand Casino, where the sushi, Korean, and pho place are located (on the same strip). It's in the corner of the shopping area, where this place used to be a bingo parlor and also a bank for a bit, but now it's a French inspired Asian bakery. This is also the second one of these we have here now, with Paris Baguette on the opposite end of Contra Costa. This location is nicely done, with a nicer sitting area than some of the other Tous Les Jours I've been to, though, it feels that the selection here isn't quite as large as the other locations. Pricing here for the bread are going to be fairly standard bakery prices. This is not be confused with places like Sheng Kee, where you'll notice a bit of a price difference in what you get, but the quality is certainly matching or even better in some cases depending on what you're getting. The breads here are great. The hot stuff are actually what I felt is better than most other places, as their sweet breads are good, but nothing that necessarily stands out. The savory breads here are top notch. Cakes here are also an incredible get, though, they are a bit more expensive than some other places such as 85c, and of course, the Sheng Kee in 99 Ranch. The quality is better though I feel, though, not considerably compared to 85c, but worth the difference in cost, albeit, their cakes are kind of tiny in comparison to other places. The one thing here that is always hit or miss are the staff, which, sometimes they'll be friendly and nice, sometimes they really just don't care and leave a bad taste in your mouth interacting with them. But in this area, there's a lot of student hires, and primarily, just student hires, so it's going to be the nature of the process. All in all, happy to have another Asian bakery here, and this one is right down the street from me, so no arguments here. read more

When I walked in I was amazed. This is the best little shop i could dream of. They have something for everyone. I would of got one of everything if i could of. They had over 100 different items to choose from. Everything was fresh and so pretty. Staff was amazing and helpful as we had never been there before. The store was very well organized and very cute. A new (5 months) bakery, pastry, coffee cafe that we were happy to add to our coffee pilgrimage! With fewer than 50 reviews, we needed to show some love! The cafe is a chain and came to the states from Korea. This makes sense because we saw pasteries and breads I've never seen before except on Instagram reels. Super soft sweet breads, for example. And I think now I should try one since the are all individually wrapped. The cafe is filled with delectable looking goodies making it difficult to choose one! This is self-serve for the pastry selection. You first select a tray, add a sheet of paper to the tray (we missed that part, but they assured me they clean the trays after each use!), grab a pair of tongs and load up! Hubby had a sweet crispy almond pastry and said it was delish. I chose the savory mushroom, onion, and cheese pastry and would come back again and again just for this delight! Both are based on a crispy, flaky, buttery croissant-type base and the fillings, as mentioned before, are delectable! We both splurged on a coffee-flavored French macaroon, which the servers get for you from the cold cake and pastry case. The cookies are crispy on the outside and chewy soft middles with plenty of creamy filling--the coffee cookie is not-to-sweet and so yummy! For the coffee, I had a decaf almond milk latte and hubby had a decalf Americano--they don't have decalf drip here. The coffee is good! Not amazing like some of the coffee shops we frequent, but plenty good to enjoy with the amazingly delicious baked goods! Today service was a little slow at the register, but our server thanked us for waiting and the coffee came quickly after we placed our order. Staff that we interacted with were very friendly. Not sure I have a favorite because I love everything I've tried... but if I had to pick - savory: mushroom/cheese pastry, and sweet: toss up between yuzu pie and guava pastry. The dough on the pastries are perfectly flaky and light, and the sweet-filled ones are flavorful but not overly sweet. The milk bun/bread is also super delicious - fluffy, soft, and tasty! Food is amazing! It's pastry heaven. The bread is soft, I can't even describe how good it is. For example I had the cream bread (it looks like bread on one side, the other side looks like pancake. I couldn't just have one bite. It was soft, creamy and and it felt like it melted in my mouth. The service: it's counter serve / self service. Fine with me. It means I can take my time or get it and get out. But the cashiers are very friendly. Ambiance: it's nice and bright. They're still very new. But it's a cute little cafe to have some sweet snacks and coffee and more. I give it four stars. They didn't have as much choices as other locations I've been to. read more

I love this place--SO many options. This last time, however i was disappointed in the almond croissant--not enough almond filling and didn't really taste like almond. Everything else i have had there has been marvelous. Macaroons are my favorite. read more

Spacious bakery with lots of great options! Had a hard time narrowing what to try but decided to get the garlic cream cheese bread, chocolate filled donut, and curry croquette. The garlic bread was slightly hard from it likely being left out but the cream cheese and garlic taste was good. The donut was very filled but not overly sweet. I liked the sugar bits on the outside. For the croquette, we expected it to be potato like but the texture was more like a pastry bun/bread. It was crispy and still tasty with a good curry flavor. The vanilla latte just tasted like a classic vanilla, some coffee taste but not too strong. I'd want to try one of the matcha lattes next time. Overall there's so many options to choose from I would come back to try more. read more
