I have ordered a few times from Dessert Cafe through DoorDash. My favorite thing to get is the Banana Nutella Cream Croffle which is a CROissant waFFLE. It's DELICIOUS! This time around, I ordered one Banana Nutella Croffle and the Biscoff Tiramisu. They had a promotion going on for a free order of Belgian Mini Cream Puffs! Which I surely took advantage of. The Biscoff Tramisu was pretty good, there was enough to eat in two sittings. I recommend it if you like tiramisu! I met the owner during my first visit & he recommended to me his ube coconut croffle, and it was SO damn delicious, I've made a point to share it with all of my out of town visiting friends & family. Review #013 - 2025 I've been here on many occasions with my little family and we enjoy their bingsus, a lot, as you can see from our photos! However, we haven't really tried any of their other food items since we usually show up after we've already had dinner. I actually really liked their house-made tiramisu cake because it's not overly sweet and very moist! Although, one of my last visit here was quite interesting because when our order was ready, I went to pick up the tray. There were two Bingsus placed on the same tray and one had a cheesecake on it. The cheesecake was about to topple over so I tried to catch the cheesecake, forgetting that the tray was unbalanced so my whole order pretty much landed on the table :( The owner saw what happened and came to help me wipe up the mess and even offered to remake my order. I was so embarrassed! However, the owner was very understanding and apologized for not putting the two bowls on separate trays. Ordered the Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu Croffle. The croffle was cooked perfectly. I would order that on its own. The custard on the crème brûlée was way too sweet and it tasted like custard that comes inside donuts, and the topping to croffle ratio was way off. I almost wish it were lightly filled instead of topped. We ordered Tiramisu, and it was not at all what we got. The cream on it was like the icing that comes on Asian cakes. I actually would have loved if they had once like an Asian cake. With icing and fruit. While I see this is a local favorite. I went out of my way to go there. This is a little hole in the wall and great for what it is. It is not fine dining! Lol. I love coming here to get their bingsu and they have fun Korean street food also. The food itself is just okay but the Cookies & Cream, Injeolmi red bean and Mango bingsu are HUGE and yummy. It's too much for one person in my opinion and I usually share with my daughter. My son, however, can finish the whole thing impressively. It's slim pickings for a place that has bingsu so I hope they stay in business. Help support them! For those that don't know, Bingsu is Korean shaved ice milk dessert known for its incredibly fine, fluffy, and snow-like texture. A small, clean shop (seating for ~10) with a nice, friendly woman behind the counter. I stopped in for their house-made tiramisu which I ate at home. They also have some various drinks, snacks, desserts, pastries and fast food items, which I will come back to try. If you like black coffee and cocoa powder you'll love the tiramisu. I don't and therefore didn't. It was heavy on the coffee flavor and they went overboard with the cocoa powder. The red bean doesn't taste the same anymore, it feels like there's less of it, and the condensed milk flavor doesn't come through like it used to. I think they added mochi, and I'm not a fan. Now it eats like mostly dry ice instead of that balanced, creamy, sweet bingsu I remember. The boba is fine, but the cup sizes feel small for the price, so it's hard to feel like it's a good value. The biggest issue is the ventilation. The place reeks of fried food, and it sticks to everything. Even if you just run in for a quick pickup, your clothes and hair smell like it. I'd sit and enjoy dessert there if I could, but the smell makes it unpleasant. If they fix the ventilation and bring the bingsu back to how it was, I'd come back more often. Their menu is huge including buldak, kimbap, bingsoo, croffles, and boba drinks. 3/4 times I've passed by they've been closed even though it said they were open on google. Also, they don't pick up the phone so don't even try. Their bingsoo is the only option in the area so I guess it's decent? But pretty mediocre and less creamy than other bingsoos I've had. Late night eats, a bunch of my friends at work did a group order and had it delivered to our workplace. My first time trying it and wow! I had their Taro Milk Tea with Lychee Popping Boba, and I had their chicken wings with the house sauce on the side. So good, chicken wings had that crunch. Cooked well. The House Sauce was good, reminded me of a soy mustard flavor- so good! My coworker had the Strawberry Banana Nutella Croffle! I originally came for the bingsoo--the mango one is delicious but it was hard for me to finish even with another person helping me. I'd recommend bringing a group of friends to share a bingsoo with, but if you're able to finish one by yourself, by all means go for it! My personal favorite is the creme brulee croffle. Wow. First time trying Korean shaved ice and it won't be my last. You order from a kiosk and have a seat and wait. The bingsu was light, creamy and sweet. And so much mango. It was fresh and juicy. It was a huge portion for $15. I do wish there was a smaller size because there was no way one person could finish this. There is plenty of seating and the place is very clean. They had music on which was nice. I took away one star because I was only in there for less than 5 minutes ( I ordered to go) and unfortunately had to come home to shower and change clothes due the deep fryer smell on my clothes and in my hair. Been coming here for a bit now and always love the treats here. I love getting the half and half Korean hot dog with the potato, super crispy and just a touch of sweetness! The bingsu are huge, definitely good to split with 2-4 people. They have lots of boba and other sweet drinks but my favorite is the hibiscus blueberry iced tea. Love to come this place to get my Bingsu fix. They have all kinds of Korean street snacks , but on this visit I had their Bingsu . It was better than snow cones, or shaved ice . I love their Mango Bingsu which was piled with their shaved ice goodness and their mangoes were fresh and sweet . It came in a big bowl and it took 3 of us to finish . All right, I finally tried every single flavor of their Korean shaved ice (Bingsoo). More reviews on the flavors that we tried this week: - Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsoo: just like the "Crazy Mango", this Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsoo was very fruity and refreshing. But at the same time, because of the cheesecake, it had extra creaminess that really balanced out the sweet and tangy strawberries. I really liked this one, and it is arguably the most filling one (because of the extra slice of cheesecake). Although flavor-wise I might prefer the Mango just a tad more. - Biscoff Bingsoo: when I first saw the combination of biscoff with shaved ice, to be honest, I wasn't sure of how they would work together. However, to my surprise, they complemented well together flavor-wise. The biscoff flavor still came through. I also think that the caramel drizzle that they put also enhanced the biscoff flavor. I could see myself getting this one again. - Cookies & Cream Bingsoo: this one I unexpectedly did not like very much. But the reason for my dislike was probably subjective - I personally don't like Hershey chocolate syrup (or anything similar to that) on my dessert. And unfortunately they put quite a bit of that on this dessert, which I think took away from the classic cookies and cream flavor. Also, I felt like one of the predominant flavors from this shaved ice was bitter, which likely came from the chocolate cookie crumbles, and it didn't like that on my shaved ice. I was in the area getting lunch and decided to swing by this place since it popped up on my radar. It was empty when I arrived and I was not sure if they were open since the sign was off. However, the door was open and I walked in and was helped by one of the workers. Strawberry Smoothie with Boba: This is as sweet as it looks. Still, it tasted pretty good for a smoothie. It was a bit more on the icier side for a drink than I would like, but it was still enjoyable. I wish you could tone down on the sweetness level though. And as for the pearls, I would give it a pass. The plaza is located in a residential area and it was lowkey deep lol. There are is a good amount of seating and two kiosks you can order from. But it was actually really good! I got the creme brûlée croffle and the custard was torched perfectly with sugar.
