a birthday cake with a guitar on top
    Emily F.

I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I have to give Kristine a shout-out. She was able to accommodate a relatively last-minute request for a birthday cake and it couldn't have turned out better! The cake was a HUGE hit with our guests - from the design to the taste. Some people even said it was the best cake they've ever had! I highly recommend Scrumpoptious. Thanks again Kristine!

Wow! Kristine is amazing!!!! She perfected our desert table for our baby shower! Not only did the treats look amazing, they tasted just as good as they looked! Can't wait to work with her again

    Amazingly beautiful desserts!

I'm over the moon with each and every item ordered from Kristine! Cake, cake pops, custom cookies, rice crispy treats, dipped pretzels all received rave reviews from everyone. The service from start to finish was impeccable. I can't wait to throw another party and share Kristine's Scrumpoptious desserts again, thank you!!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. I ordered a unicorn cake and cake pops for my daughters 10th birthday! WOW The cake was absolutely delicious and it was picture perfect! The pops were a huge hit as well. I definitely will be ordering from here again. Not only was the ordering process extremely easy, but Kristine even took the time to deliver to our house.

Kristine brought joy and delight on my son's birthday. Suffering with celiacs, it pains him to attend birthday parties where he cannot eat anything the kids are enjoying - until today! My son celebrated his special day with GLUTEN FREE ROBLOX cake pops! And Kristine went out of her way to make extra for us to freeze for future parties so my son is the one to envy rather than the other way around. Thank you Kristine! We loved our GF cake pops which was also delivered short notice rather than the one month lead time for most GF cake orders!!! We will definitely be ordering from you again!!

I'm in love with Scrumpoptious! Kristine, the owner, is so easy to work with! She can basically create whatever you are looking for, and she is very flexible to accommodate your likes and dislikes. The actual product is better than you can imagine! I've used this company a few times, and I'm blown away every time with what she makes! Not only is everything she makes beautiful and made with love, but the taste and flavor is absolutely delicious! I would recommend her to all of my friends and family, and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

    School themed cake pops

I wanted to get a sweet treat for our bosses in honor of Boss's Day. Scrumpoptious was the perfect choice, and Kristine was a pleasure to work with. She made the cake pops to perfection. We chose red velvet and mixed berry flavors, and the cake pops were full of flavor, moist, and truly mouth watering. On top of their superb taste, the artistry and detail she put into the cake pops was amazing. The cake pops I ordered were school themed, and she made cake pops that looked like apples, A+ papers, and rulers. They were individually wrapped and tied with bows, and then placed in a perfect little box. The presentation really made the cake pops extra special! I highly recommend Scrumpoptious to anyone looking for unique and delicious cake pops!

Kristine did a great job making the cutest Mickey Mouse cake pops and delicious macarons for my son's first birthday. It was easy working with her. Unlike other bakers there is no limit on your flavors per order. Highly recommend her and definitely order again.

Kristine did a beautiful job on making THE prettiest cake pops & macaroons for my baby shower She was very prompt & professional at getting back with me & worked within my budget. Gave me exactly what I asked for & exceeded my expectations!

What can I say about scrumpoptious? What can't I say about it is more like it! Ordered a box of marvel themed cake pops and what I got was nothing short of brilliance! These larger-than-life superheroes reimagined into a tiny yet utterly delicious bite of cake! So realistic was ironmans helmet that I felt as if I was Thanos the Mad Titan himself, delivering a killing blow! I wept a little as I crushed Captain Americas tasty, sugary shield betwixt my molars. The lemon cake pop in particular made my taste buds jump for joy! I had to corral them in one by one and retame them before I could even think of moving onto the devilishly delicious chocolate pop. To summarize my experience, Kristine is a genius in the art of the bakery. She spun me a tale with these marvel pops so great, I dare say the emotions I experienced rivaled those of the day I saw Captain America and Iron Man fighting together side by side on the big screen to take down the evil Loki and his Chitauri! Good job Kristine I highly recommend you to anyone and everyone!

I very highly reccomend Kristine and the Scrumpoptious team for any dessert/party needs!!! I've worked with Kristine on two occasions now for my son's 6th birthday and my niece's 1st birthday, and both times she was incredible and totally exceeded my expectations! The quality of work on her cake pops is impeccable, so beautifully designed and artful and delicious on top of that! Her pricing is seriously so worth it and very reasonable considering the professionalism and quality you are getting. I cant wait to have another event to collaborate with her again =)

Lemon and red velvet cake pops

Ordered last minute cake pops for my coworker's bachelorette party, we had the lemon and red velvet. Kristine was very kind enough to accomodate my request. I almost didn't wanna eat it bcos of how pretty they were and boy, when I finally ate it... It was soooo good! Moist in the inside and it made me feel like I was a kid again. I enjoyed every bite of it, and yes it is worth the calories. I can't wait to try all the different flavors for our next party. Thank you Kristine!

Kristine is the best! I've had her make cake pops and cupcakes for me twice so far. She does great work, and I will definitely reach out to her again for cake pops and/or cupcakes in the future! She also answers all my questions and emails promptly, which I really appreciate. What I like most is that her cake pops and cupcakes are soft, moist and delicious! Vanilla, chocolate, red velvet and pumpkin have all been delicious! I've noticed that many bakers can make beautiful designs but then when it comes to the taste of the actual cake on the inside it is not that impressive. Definitely recommend to all!

The cake pops and macaroons that Scrumptious designed for my daughter's 7th birthday were out of a fairytale!

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

But, not until 2027! I had signed up for the store app. and decided to hit up their store here in Pleasant Hill, CA for a preview. There were some mixed observations for my 1st visit, which explains my 3 star rating (think a grade of C, C+ or possibly eeking out a B-, idk?). Parking's a snap behind the store in a large lot and free for up to 3 hrs. Upon my arrival to the street facing storefront, I encountered 3 of the 4 entrance doors locked from the outside. Gadzooks! How the heck do you get inside this security zone of a store, lol? Finally entered through the 1 unlocked door after naturally trying all the others first . Once inside, it would've been nice to have been greeted/welcomed by a host or floorperson for those of us unfamiliar with the store concept or the procedure of how you serve yourself. As you walk in, there's cafeteria-like trays, tongs and tray liners to your left. You grab this setup to begin your pastry and goodies selection. Pretty much self-serve from there until you queue up to pay. There's also a self-service ordering kiosk inside and you can order ahead on the Paris Baguette app. Speaking of the app, it pays to install it on your device as doing so entitles you to a free pastry with purchase upon your 1st visit. Anywhere from a $3.99-$5.99 value this is, so nothing to sneeze at. And they send you other freebies & deals through this medium also. Pricing for your basic pastries: Think Starbuck's prices + 15-20% or thereabouts. Not sure how the rewards system works here yet or how it might stack up to the aforementioned Starbuck's program or others? The pastries: Oh so good! Definitely no complaints here. If not for them being a bit on the pricier side, as alluded to already. Warm, flaky & fresh out of the oven. Parisian style. Definite niche appeal outside of your random donut shop or Starbucks' offerings. I did not try any of their different beverage options like coffees, teas, lattes or frappes this visit. No doubt this chain will succeed, as is evidenced by their rapid store growth, "newness" of the brand/concept and customer popularity. My pastry choices were the Pain Au Chocolat and the Pain Aux Raisins. One being the free one with the promotion. 10 out of 10. They also do whole bread loaves, cakes and other confectionaries + special orders. Pretty much a full service bakery, Paris style. And if you're sugar and/or calorie cautious, this bakery will no doubt appear like a mine field, lol. Everything in moderation I guess as the saying goes? It's a winner overall. Subtractions for the Fort Knox-like entrance issues and a lack of customer intro-greeting. It looked very popular inside for an early Saturday morning.

I came across this pop-up at Epidemic Ales, though you can easily place an order with them on-line for any occasion. My pecan tart was fresh with a flaky shell. For me, the shell of a small tart makes up half of the tart, so it was a plus that it was super duper fresh. The filling was made up equally of fresh nuts but did have a rather prominent taste of alcohol. Some pecan pies contain a bit of alcohol like rum or bourbon. I went on their homepage, and it looks like they also make a Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie. I'm assuming that the tart I got may have been a mini version of that. If you're averse to alcohol in your food, keep this in mind, at least when it comes to their pecan tartlets. Guilty Pleasures makes cupcakes, cakes, pies, cookies and other nicely presented baked goods as well.
