A friend recently told me that Jamba just isn't what it used to be, and it's got me thinking. They're right. I started going to Jamba Juice when they first moved into the Crescent Ave location in Pleasant Hill, when I was still attending the Teen Scene in Pleasant Hill Park. It's certainly been a minute since those days, and while I've been to this location three times this year, I don't know why I keep coming back. I think I'm searching for something that no longer exists - a reasonably-priced, fruit-packed meal in a cup. It feels like each time I go to 'Jamba' (now ostensibly not a Juice place), the menu looks more and more like a fast-food dessert menu - which I'd have no problem with if I weren't wanting the good old Jamba Juice of yore. I'm now finding myself browsing smoothie recipes on the Internet, ready to dust off the blender. If you're in a pinch with the kids & need a quick sugar fix, Jamba will cut it. If you're looking for relative health, ditch the waffle-whip bowls & stay home. read more

Second year of celebrating Smoothie Day at Jamba Juice and their $1 Mango-A-Go-Go or Strawberry Whirl Smoothie. This store has their act together. Person at the door was responsible crowd control - keeping it to 10 people max in the store. The smoothie makers were bringing out trayfuls of smoothies to a counter to the side. After ordering, we took our receipt and picked up our smoothies at the counter. The employees were running a well-oiled machine to get quickly through the long line of people. Very impressed. The smoothies themselves - extremely good for $1. If I had to pay full price on these (my real opinion), I thought the Mango was very good, but a little on the sweet and runny side. The strawberry was a little lacking in flavor (almost no strawberry, a little banana) and too icy. After drinking two of them halfway, we combined to make a half mango/half strawberry, which turned out really well. read more

I love Jamba Juice but unfortunately I'm to old school for the kiosk ordering system. I don't see well and it's difficult for me to use these. Nobody at the time of my purchase was available they simply pointed to the kiosk ordering systems. That's when someone took the opportunity to take advantage of my difficulty reading the small print. I took off my prescription 600 dollars distance/driving glasses off to try and read the system and when I realized I didn't pay for my daughters bottle water I had to a second time use the kiosk. Weirdly enough a man sitting to my left in the waiting bench said to his wife in child in Spanish which I understand to "pick them up" I thought maybe the child dropped something standing behind me. I payed no mind. The reality is that they were my classes on the counter next to the kiosk. My 600 dollars tortoiseshell Ray-Ban's with prescription lenses. When I walked out into the sun I realized what I had done and went to retrieve them. Then I remembered the man on the couch telling his family standing behind to "pick them up" in Spanish and it occurred to me that they took my glasses when I was distracted.. I returned and they were gone, and so were my glasses. Can we not go back to a world where people engage with each other and us old people who can't see well can just tell the person working there I want a orange dream machine with an immunity boost like I have for years? Your Kiosk is had to read, and also the bright sun on the screen makes it blurry.. the whole situation is difficult and I had my expensive glasses stolen while I was distracted. Normally I would push them up on my forehead but when you look down squinting to read they fall off my face so I set them down to n the counter. Now they are gone. What has the world come to now? I stopped into Road Runner Sports next door after having dental work so I decided to stop into this Jamba Juice location and order a Mango A Go Go. It really hit the spot. The service was friendly and helpful and the space was clean. I ended up ordering via the monitor and taking a seat to wait until my name was called. The drink and straw came out quickly and the smoothie was fantastic. All in all, I would definitely drop in again. read more

I normally don't do yelp reviews but I want to bring this to the store and future customers concern. Last Sunday evening (Feb 22), my girlfriend and I stopped in to get a chocolate mood smoothie and a banana/peanut butter yogurt bowl. Everything tasted fine but afterwards me and my girlfriend have been sicker than ever. Throwing up, indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea. Doctors said it was food contamination and most likely is a stomach flu or food poisoning. Still dealing with this to this day almost 4 days later. I'm writing those in hopes that employees take into consideration of how important it is to wash their hands properly and handle food correctly to prevent contamination. I hope this message prevents people from experiencing the same thing my girlfriend and I did. Have a great day, most likely won't be returning to this establishment. read more

For the most part I like this location. I think Jamba Juice food is low quality, but the emphasize in the smoothies anyways. I feel like my drink is always on spot with flavor , but it melts so quickly like they didn't add enough ice or too much juice. Staff doesn't really acknowledge unless you stand there and say you're picking up your order. So service is okay, could be improvement on acknowledgement. The environment is clean and modern. Probably today was the hottest day in our Quarantine here at work. It was awesome that my manager and I decided to go for Jamba Juice: it's been a minute and it was 80 degrees out here, so we ordered through Door Dash. I went for the Surf Rider; but I need to recommend that Energy Green boost, as, I felt better through out the day and made it worth the extra $0.50! A bit sour, but the flavor was still there. My manager went for the 'White Gummi Bear' smoothie. I never even knew they had that, but my manager was rarely nice, and gave me a sample. It was 'Beary' delicious Again, I didn't go in to the location, so I can't rate the service or the establishment itself, but through Door Dash, try it out. My girlfriend and I went for smoothies at 820pm, when they close at 9. I asked about their seasonal pumpkin bowl and drink since we hardly go there. Th supervisor was extremely rude and irritable when answering about the bowl. He treated us unkindly. My girlfriend even gave them benefit of the doubt and said "thank you" on the way out, but no response. At least the place was clean. Every Jamba Juice is always the same. Same offerings, same juices, same food, same quality. So to write about their food at this location would be a mistake, since Jamba usually always consistently delivers a fresh smoothie, squeezed juice or prepared food item to my liking. I don't remember the last time I came to this location, but my Acai bowl craving was real and I wanted to treat myself to a midday bowl (Vitality is overpriced, and Jamba's bowl is pretty yum). The place was nearly empty yet a few people were stopping by to grab a smoothie for a hot afternoon pick-me-up. There was only one table in the store, which an employee and her friend were seated at (as we customers just stood around and waited). My $2 off coupon was apparently not going through and their manager came and let me spend just $2 for the acai bowl (as opposed to the original $7). Talk about good customer service and putting your customers first! No complaints. Jamba always has some better options for your diet--as long as you watch overdoing the sugar from all those fruits! The staff was friendly and worked as fast as they could. They seemed to have been understaffed but they did the best the could at the time. My brother and I ordered a couple bowls and small smoothies and pretzel. Everything tasted amazing and held us over for our short ride to Sacramento. Never again. This place deserves negative stars. I placed an order for one smoothie via Jamba's app at 12:10, which was confirmed for pickup at 12:20. I arrived on time. The employees clearly over their heads, as most folks were complaining that their orders were delayed or just plain wrong. I waited for 25 MINUTES in the store, which is no easy feat, as I am disabled. During this time I tried to reach Jamba's corporate office, but the phone number is disabled. While there, a few folks walked in, placed their orders and received their orders ahead of me! I would have immediately inquired about my order status, but the employees were rushing around and ignoring many of us who were waiting and wanting to check on the delays. Finally, I stepped past the counter and loudly asked about my order. They miraculously managed to prepare this ONE smoothie. What a sh!tshow! There are plenty of places to get smoothies these days. Here I haven't had an issue with the quality of their smoothies. I like that you can substitute ingredients and such to meet your taste and health needs. I also like the "Acai Super Antioxidant" on their "Speciality Smoothie List". They seem to always have the smoothies on point, the perfect thickness and very flavorful. Visit on 6/16/17: I had been craving an acai bowl and stopped here to pick one up. You won't get as many options or as high quality as at Vitality Bowls, but it's a solid good acai berry bowl and more nutritious ounce-for-ounce than their smoothies. They tasted like someone either poured a massive quantity of salt or soap into the mix. It's my fault for even ordering this at a smoothie/juice place but I thought Jamba Juice will atleast make a decent coffee. It was so bitter, it tasted like it was from low quality coffee beans. Save your money, go to Starbucks, Peetes, Dunkin. Heck, go to a boba tea place or a mom and pop donut shop and get coffee there, they'll serve you cheaper better brewed coffee. It was a waste of $6+.
