This coffee shop was very cute. I've seen this place all over TikTok, and I've been wanting to try it for so long. I ordered the strawberry matcha, and it was really good. It had a nice, vibrant green color and wasn't overly milky, which I liked. The drink took a little while to come out, but I think the receipt didn't print for the barista. There's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. They have lots of sweet and savory pastry options. I wanted to try the Korean cream bun because it looked enticing, but $16 seemed a bit pricey for such a small snack. read more

I really wanted to like this place because the latte flavors sounded so yummy. However I was so disappointed. My partnered ordered an iced honey americano, and the honey was just frozen at the bottom of the cup instead of being dissolved into the espresso before pouring it over ice. The espresso also tasted very bitter. I ordered the pistachio latte. It was fine. The espresso tasted bitter and the chunks of pistachio spread just stayed stuck to the cup. I've been here a few times, not just for coffee, but specifically for the Caesar salad wrap with turkey, which is surprisingly hard to find done this well. It's clearly made with care every time. I've also tried their smoothies, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Never underestimate the power of a good sandwich. It can do so much to and for you. I've been slamming nearby Morucci's famed caprese sandwich (maybe it's just famous to me and everyone I talk to about it? Don't know, don't care!) for 15 years now and I didn't believe anything from another spot would be able to compare. But after scoring a similar sammie from Ananas Coffee, I was really impressed. The pesto, basil, tomato and mozzarella sandwich I love was even a bit one-upped at Ananas, as they used delicious heirloom tomatoes that were perfectly ripe and flavorful in all the right ways. Don't tell my regular sandwich spot that I cheated on her, but I was very pleased with what Ananas offered. I haven't been too into the smoothies and juices whenever I've had them, but I'm more of a water girl for the most part anyway--plus, I had the juice to go and may have waited too long to drink it? I ordered the following: - Korean Cream Cheese Bagel (3.5/5): while this was delicious, it was left a quite heavy feeling compared to other places I've had the bagel at. I'd recommend sharing this with 1-2 other people just because it's a little overwhelming and a bit overpriced in my opinion (I've gotten this in other cities for about $5) - Iced Matcha Latte with Macadamia syrup (4/5): quality matcha with non-grainy texture and a rich flavor. Rounding up my experience here. Was in the area and wanted to try a new coffee place, and Ananas Coffee popped up on Yelp. Great lighting in the space, and pretty sizable as well. There's indoor and outdoor seating. There were some pastries on display, and they all looked amazing. The coffee menu was a bit hard for me to read so I went with a cappuccino and a mocha. Missed Turkish coffee, otherwise I would have tried that. They have various smoothies and such here, but the menu just didn't pop to me. For pastries, I got a potato bun ($5, meh, ok, I thought it was fine, but my son and husband really didn't like it at all), Korean cream cheese bun (holy moly at $15 lol, it was so weird in a good way- a mix of savory and sweet, slightly sugared cream cheese with garlic and herb, sort of a not so dense bagel with cream cheese mixed with garlic bread or something), and a marshmallow cookie (around $7??? - pretty standard, didn't taste $7 worth to me). Glad I tried, but wow, a bit pricey for what everything was. I feel there's some lost opportunities here as the products are great on paper, and they have amazing real estate here. Maybe I'll go back and try a smoothie and a Turkish coffee. Service itself was fine. They took my order, I paid, and they let me know when my stuff was ready. We found this cute little cafe on Yelp! We were in the mood for coffee and breakfast. We love to try local and family owned businesses. Ananas Coffee offers indoor and outdoor seating. The patio seating is open with lush trees off the Main Street in Walnut Creek. We ordered at the counter and were served our food in a timely manner. I had to try the Turkish Coffee and wow it was a pop of energy that was amazing. This little cup of coffee enhanced with Cardamon was delicious. The avocado toast was topped with avocado smash, fresh lemon juice, micro greens , cucumber, radish and last but not least an olive oil drizzle. The perfect healthy delicious breakfast! Really wanted to give Ananas a better rating, because I truly love supporting small businesses. Since I was in town for work, was on a mission to try as many cafes as possible in the area. Stopped in for some lattes to fuel the day, it was pretty empty in the morning and was greeted by a pleasant man. He was super friendly and gave a great recommendation of Rose Pistachio flavor to my latte. The space was clean and my drinks were made quickly. Unfortunately, the coffee did not have a strong taste in either flavor coffee or Rose Pistachio. You can see by the photo the paleness of the lattes drowned with milk. It tasted like lightly coffee flavored milk. Perhaps asking for a double shot is the way to go? Was hoping to return to try their smoothies that looked Erewhon-esque, but never returned. This is a cute coffee shop, small and clean. Very modern furniture. I only ordered the Korean cream cheese bun. The employee was kind and helpful. The Korean cheese bun was great, I have had one in Los Angeles where I believe it became viral and this one is very similar. The only thing is that the price point on it here is very high, $15 compared to other nearby places selling it for about $7. If that doesn't matter to you then definitely give them a try. I have been wanting to try this place for so long. Walked in finally after a work meeting to pick up a late lunch. The menu isn't too extensive, and I got myself a tuna salad sando. The person who was running the shop made it right in front of me. My verdict - this is easily one of the best tuna salad sandwiches that I've had! Relatively light, very very fresh and delicious from the first to last bite. I went back for more. Got the turkey basil pesto and moz tom sandos for lunch on different occasions. Again, they delivered. Delicious and super-fresh. Every ingredient that goes in, has the quality. No sandwich would taste that good if the ingredients weren't high quality. I'd however stay away from their cookies. Downright bad. I only had the matcha white chocolate cookie. It was bone-dry and probably the worst that I've ever had. The other cookies on display do not look very appetizing and now I know that they don't seem to get those right. Yet to try any of their coffee drinks, and am curious to try a few of those. The ambiance is pleasant, and service was absolutely on-point. I may bring work meetings here, on occasion. The verdict - can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwiches but stay far away from those cookies (they shouldn't even be selling those). read more

My friend and I checked out Ananas, which opened in downtown Walnut Creek a few weeks ago. I remember reading about its opening in the local newspaper, and I was excited to try the Turkish coffee. The cute, well-lit cafe is located in the former CREAM space, and there was plenty of indoor seating on a Saturday morning. I ordered the Turkish coffee with oat milk and an almond croissant. Since the bakery delivery was delayed that morning, the cafe owner offered to sub in a blueberry pastry for the croissant. A server brought out our coffee and freshly-warmed pastries to our table. The Turkish coffee was strong, and I tasted hints of cardamom and some other spices. While I missed the almond croissant, the blueberry pastry was good and reminded me of a cheese Danish. I'm glad we had the opportunity to try a new cafe in the neighborhood, and it was fun to mix up my coffee routine with Turkish coffee. read more

Parking in downtown Walnut Creek is usually a nightmare. So this is the perfect type of coffee shop that's perfect to stop by either before or after shopping. While their drinks and food were delicious, the parking situation is a major deterrent for just a quick pass by for an afternoon pick me up. I tried their more popular food items, the Garlic Cream Cheese Korean bread and a cold brew with salted caramel syrup and oat milk. The bread is a more popular item for good reason! It's creamy and decadent, but definitely something you might want to eat with a fork and knife. It's a little greasey due to the butter but oh so delicious. Service was pretty quick for my order, but I did notice some people waiting a bit longer than normal for their orders. But as this is a small business, be patient! Trust me, it's worth it! Walking by on a hot summer day the honey and I discovered Ananas Coffee was finally open! They're still getting set up and the point of sale system at the door isn't fully connected yet, but I love that they plan to use multiple hard to find non-dairy milks such as pistachio and coconut milk and are selling loaves of Acme bread. This visit we picked up a mango iced tea from the friendly barista at the front but next time we'lll definitely be getting an iced Zolo coffee with pistachio milk. We were in the mood for a quick treat and had this cafe on our list! Street parking was simple ($2 an hour by meter). We walked in and were warmly greeted. The server was very helpful and offered great recommendations. We ended up going with a matcha and sesame tahini cookie (gluten free!). They also serve Turkish coffee, tea, and a variety of unique pastries, with gluten free options clearly labeled. There are a few tables inside, we decided to sit at one of them while we waited for our drink. The server kindly brought it over when it was done and we decided to hang around for a bit. The good: low sugar pastries on the healthy side, which I love! The bad: I ordered an iced decaf latte because it was in the evening time. It tasted like milk. No coffee flavor at all! It was brown, so I know they put espresso in there. Or did they? It tasted like very weak coffee and not rich like espresso should be. So disappointing. I ordered another shot of decaf to try to fix it. And it was a lot of volume and very watery. I suspect they use regular decaf coffee? I'm not sure but it was baaaaaddddd. The ugly: No bathroom. I had the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk, spinach feta and avacado toast. The latte and toast were delicious ! I will definitely have again when i'm in the area. Gave Ananas Coffee a try despite the very few reviews it has and I will say this place is very underrated. I had an Iced Hazelnut latte and I can get very picture about it and I'm glad to say it was a hit! It wasn't watery, it had a good coffee flavor so if you can't take a stronger latte, definitely ask for it to be a but milder! They specialize in Turkish themed coffees and it was also very tasty! We had their sandwiches (didn't have a pic) but also this sandwich with pepperoni and mozzarella inside. I basically thought its like pizza sandwich essentially and it was great! The only thing I do have to say is it can get very hot near the windows (far from ac) so we moved to the benches + smaller table right below the ac. And despite having on-site food for consumption, they don't have restrooms for paying customers! I was told to use the restrooms at the parking garage. I'd love to give this a five because it's new but there's multiple reasons why I can't. Maybe they can earn the five star in the near future when I visit again. Let me tell you a few things I think would be good recommendations to follow through on : One - prep your store before opening the doors. Your pastries should already be out in visible., seating should already be set up so whoever orders their drink can sit outside of your store and lure customers in...basically showing that you have customers first thing in the morning... that's a good sign. Two - Your new shop ... pay attention to customers orders as well, especially if they're ordering online where you really shouldn't be making mistakes ( it would be my mistake if I ordered the wrong item, but I ordered the item that I wanted and was given what I didn't order if that makes sense ) I ordered a feta spinach wrap, and you gave me something that had leeks. In other words. It wasn't what I ordered. And I'm very thankful that it was not meat because I am a vegetarian. Most customers would return it and then you'd have wasted product and a loss on that on that meal because you have to replace it with the right item.. I ate it anyway and didn't go back to complain, but these are just things that you need to pay attention to so you don't get future customers that do complain. Your coffee is excellent. So again with that said, make sure your store is prepped and ready to take the first customer that walks into your store in the morning.. California is busy. It's not slow paced some people want their drink to go because they're on the move. Not everyone has the luxury of waiting for 10 minutes for a drink. I'm not sure if you're planning to stay open temporarily or long-term, but you have potential, coffee makes a great profit margin... but constant mistakes are the end of most businesses My parents told me about the shop because they enjoyed their experience. I do wanna go back and try the Turkish coffee and some of the other pastry items because they look delicious. I wish you all the best of luck, but the attention is always in the detail. read more

Went there because it was 1 month new as of 6/20/25 and wanted to check it out and support small businesses. Had the chocolate walnut cookie and baklava. The cookie was super small yet tall and was made with quality chocolate, however the texture and consisted was more dry like a scone. The baklava was okay and the size of a roll of Pennie's. The pricing was outrageous. For the small cookie--it was $6.50+tax! There was no pricing so we were super shocked at the cost.
