I've been here multiple times and used to really like their matcha, but after they changed it, I stopped getting it and coming here. I decided to give them another try today and ordered one of their fall drinks. Unfortunately, the drink appeared to have curdled milk in it. There were visible chunks and clumps throughout the drink and around the lid, which honestly made me uncomfortable drinking it. I ended up throwing it away after only having about two sips. I'm not sure what happened, but definitely disappointing and not what I expected. Hopefully this was just a one time issue.
Truly love this cafe so much. The people are always so friendly and the coffee/food tastes so good!! I love their seasonal drinks so much. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
This spot seems popular with people working in the nearby medical offices--I noticed a lot of folks in scrubs while we were there. There's a huge seating area, which was really nice and made it feel comfortable even when it was busy. They also sell coffee beans and some merch, though I didn't get a chance to check those out closely. Drink-wise, my husband ordered the Biscoff latte, and I went with a dark chocolate mocha, which I really enjoyed--the dark chocolate made it feel less sweet and more balanced. The coffee itself was good. Not bad at all--just not something I'd go out of my way for. That said, one thing that really stood out was the latte art. The barista made the cutest bear in my drink, and I was genuinely impressed. I even posted it on Instagram and sent it to friends--it was that well done. Overall, this is a solid coffee spot. If you're in the area and want a good cup of coffee in a spacious, comfortable setting, it's definitely worth stopping by. It's not a destination café for me, but I'd happily return if I was nearby.
Koin coffee is great! My coworkers and I go here about 3-4 times a week. The inside is so spacious and very welcoming. The staff are very polite and helpful. I always get the breakfast sandwich, it's my favorite!
First time checking out Koin Cafe! I got a plain cold brew, and it was pretty good--had a nice almost fruity flavor to it that I really liked. My wife got the peppermint patty mocha latte, which was also solid. I liked that it wasn't super sweet, and the mint flavor kind of built up as you kept drinking it. This place seems super chill--quiet music, people studying or working, lots of tables. Definitely seems like a great spot to get some work done or just hang out for a bit. Only downside was that it was pretty freezing inside. I was nearly shivering even with a hoodie on. Overall, solid spot! Drinks were good, atmosphere was nice, and I'd love to come back to try their food next time.
Their vanilla bean is made in house and it's so delicious in the vanilla iced latte! Might be my fav placed for vanilla lattes. There is alot of open seating indoor and outdoor, they also have the long study tables that we all love. Such a cute vibe with nice music playing too. Definitely coming back to catch up on work or to chat with a friend. 10/10!!
I been coming here for over a year now. I have tried numerous things on their menu. There's a couple of favs. I recommend the iced vanilla they make their syrups in house, which I prefer as you can go half sweet and still get great non-artificial taste. Their seasonal menu is great. Try their overnight oats, they are pricey at $7 & $9, definitely a splurge. Lunch get their turkey pesto. Their customer service is awesome, and I mean awesome. They have about 15 employees and all of them seem to enjoy their work & are happy & attentive. Their ambiance is great, good for work, good to meet someone, good for breakfast.
I would love to rate this place 5 stars for their hospitality and overall vibes, but they didn't have any outlets anywhere:( When I asked the barista about outlets he said there is an extension cord in one place in the entire shop next to a couch, where there's no place to put your your computer. Coffee shops typically have outlets as that's the place people go to for working, so I was just shocked that there is nothing on any of the walls. I see in the owner replies on here that they offer power banks, but they didn't tell me about this in the moment, and I had to leave. I liked their matcha, and the almond croissant was okay just very dry and I realized the croissant is $8 (I think the most expensive croissant I've ever seen). I would go back for hanging out when not needing to work.
Made it a mission to explore WC's cafes and so happy to have come across Koin! A largely space cafe serving up pastries and solid cups of coffee. Big spacious interior with lots of natural light and plenty of seating. I stopped in prior to work and did not run into an 8am rush and was able to order quickly. Got an Iced Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte and it was absolutely delicious! Sweet, great tasting coffee and loved the flavors syrup you could even see the bits of cinnamon through out the drink. Also, really like the ice they use for their drinks. Service was quick, friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to work on your laptop or catching up with friends. Noise level is appropriate and environment is comfortable. Lots of parking in the plaza. Highly recommend this place!
This coffee spot is so good, delicious smooth coffee. The smavo toast is so good, the bread is thick and soft. For coffee, I had one of the specials called the cinnamon roll latte, I recommend it. The inside is big, there's a corner with some merch, lots of seating inside too. The service is quick and friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
We had an appointment nearby and also needed a spot with reliable wifi and readily available tables for us to park our laptops at. The local Peets and Starbucks, with their very tiny sq. footage and limited table capacity seemed like dubious choices, so my wife searched on Yelp and found Koin Coffee. Located inside a commercial office complex, free parking is readily available in the private lot. And the interior is very open, spacious, and clean; with TONS of tables to choose from. Although we arrived a little earlier in the morning, the place quickly started to fill up as we were working through a few Zoom calls. Koin coffee has a pretty good selection of caffeinated drinks to choose from. Though unless you are working at one of the offices in the complex, this is definitely a more intentional destination as it will require driving.
Hidden gem close (walkable) to the various kids' fitness facilities (American Swim Academy, etc). Finding Koin Coffee was a blessing - in search of a decent coffee spot that wasn't a 15 minute drive away. Strong drip coffee and a fun selection of lattes and pastries. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outside. Lots of parking nearby (although a surprising amount of cars on a weekend too - not sure where all of those people were). Staff were friendly and upbeat.
Found this place by scrolling on IG. This place is out of the way for me but I like to try other coffee houses. Came here on a Sunday and it's tucked away like a hidden gem. The place is very spacious with plenty of room to sit and it's very bright. As soon as I came in I was greeted right away. Staff is friendly which is nice. I ordered an iced cinnamon roll latte and an almond croissant. Two items were a little over $15. A bit pricey. I then saw that the almond croissant was $7.50! EEK. Both were good. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back but I wouldn't make another special trip out here.

Order takers extremely well informed, and c1 other @ Bar for making and design of Vanilla bran Latte w Oatmilk, plus for housemate flavored syrups and seasonal flavors. Also 1st tested hard-core plain Capp for full flavor w extra shots to begin. Whole milk btw on that one, 1st. Had to get the Sourdough. Yes sourdough Cinnamon roll. Another item baked there is also made w same S-dough! Only one other place in The City [$F] we ever had Soutdough starters coughed Cinnamon roll. Also for us serious Tea Toddler's [not children-even though they have a play area by a ouch nice couch for them, wide afe' I will say] LOOSE LEAF Abound including a white blend and also a green here! They also make their Chai after brewing couple days for full flavour, rich w Almond milk i added for Latte and their concentrate right behind the counter didpensinle-ready to go! No box concentrate here, yay, ff Finally not easy to find, just as string as Chico Chai, but self blended inhouse.Nice Done Koun. People engage and weekend morning business hits but later. So get ready for a wait when it's coffee time before church across the street. Welcoming staff.and knowledgeable also. Reminds me of Unkling's in Plessantion but smaller scale and no safe, hah. But Artisan coffee it is. No in-house roast e r seen though. Earthy flavors but did not see what or who's beans they are. Could be fremont's own Devout roaster but string alike Equater that French cafe' Maison Benoit uses. Next trip we will inquire! So many photos [repeat ] of Koun I'm just submitting Baristas work of two animals. Willing to return uphill east east WCreek almost Concord/Clayton area. Delicious coffee and great menu for light bites. I love the spacious seating situation. No crammed tables, and there's plenty of seating. I came during holiday season and the cafe was decorated with lights and other cute props. Cashiers were friendly even at 7am -- a great start to the day! They have wifi but I didn't see many outlets, only one behind the couch and in the corner. Everything I've tried is good with the exception of the avocado. The avocado is too mashed and tastes like chemicals. It reminds me of those prepackaged guacamole cups from the grocery store so I can't recommend it. read more

On a strong recommendation from a friend, I stopped by Koin Coffee early on a weekday around 8:30AM. This is a very large and open coffee shop, plenty of tables, chairs, easily 3 times the size of most coffee places. I had a Cafe Latte' with regular milk and a warmed up cinnamon bun which was amazing! I sat over by the couch area in one of the 2 plush chairs there to spend a while reading my book enjoying my coffee. There was a father there with his toddler who was easily amused by the small play area next to the couch - they even have a toy espresso machine! Service: Very good Ambiance: Nice, because it's spread out, not loud and there are floor to ceiling large windows on 2 of the walls so nice and bright. My friend said they also have amazing avocado toast so I'll have to stop by for lunch sometime. read more

Koin has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in the area! Their vanilla bean latte is divine and I love that they use organic milk. Their drinks have been really consistent. I'm never one to finish my drinks but theirs has me wanting more. I love that their coffee has a strong coffee taste vs milk and sugary. Oh and their Decaf? Amazing. Their decaf beans use the Swiss water method vs the chemical process and you can taste the difference. They also have great chai, it's very lightly sweetened but the addition of the vanilla bean syrup makes it really tasty. I get a 1/2 caf vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it has the perfect amount of caffeine for the caffeine sensitive! 5 stars for organic milk Swiss process decaffeination process house made syrups consistency, space, and staff! their thick ice cubes that don't melt in two seconds! Iykyk! read more

I'm so excited to have found a great coffee shop in the area!!! It was my first time visiting, and it did not disappoint. The shop is big and spacious, lots of natural lighting and really clean interior design. There's a lot of seating and a great space to cowork -- Just a note that they do not have outlets The staff was amazing!! Julianna and Gabe were extremely attentive and super sweet. I had a difficult order and they managed to help me with ease. Their service made my visit a great experience! Additionally, the coffee is extremely smooth. I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and a teddy graham latte which were delicious. It was the perfect amount of coffee and milk, which I usually have to customize the other shops, but I love that it is very coffee forward here. Did I mention their syrups are made in House??! It makes a huge difference in the taste and I'm glad that Koin coffee goes that extra step to ensure a pleasant experience. I'm so glad that I found Koin coffee and I know where I'll be at every week to pick up a sweet treat! read more

I ordered an iced matcha latte w oat milk & honey. By the looks of it, doesn't seem like a good quality of matcha... you can't taste the matcha at all besides the honey that added a bit of sweetness. Went back and asked for a vanilla latte instead and they were very sweet and accommodating. But for almost $9 it's not worth it lol. read more

Who knew that there was a coffee shop right outside of kaiser? We've been going to kaiser for years and never noticed it, but there were so many people there that I guess everybody knows about us. The tables were filled in. The ambience was really cool. they have a great little store area and nice little things on the wall walls. I like the name that it comes from. I think it was a Greek word or something. It reminds me of my Swedish word Fika which means to take a break and have coffee and a pacer with a friend and that's what the name of this coffee shop means I got a holiday coffee flavor of peppermint and it was really nice because it wasn't over powering. The bad news is that the black coffee was not hot. We got the sourdough chocolate chip cookie. It was just OK. Nothing special. We absolutely loved the cranberry scone. I highly recommend this place, but I would skip the black drip coffee, and the chocolate chip cookie. read more
