This spot seems popular with people working in the nearby medical offices--I noticed a lot of folks in scrubs while we were there. There's a huge seating area, which was really nice and made it feel comfortable even when it was busy. They also sell coffee beans and some merch, though I didn't get a chance to check those out closely. Drink-wise, my husband ordered the Biscoff latte, and I went with a dark chocolate mocha, which I really enjoyed--the dark chocolate made it feel less sweet and more balanced. The coffee itself was good. Not bad at all--just not something I'd go out of my way for. That said, one thing that really stood out was the latte art. The barista made the cutest bear in my drink, and I was genuinely impressed. I even posted it on Instagram and sent it to friends--it was that well done. Overall, this is a solid coffee spot. If you're in the area and want a good cup of coffee in a spacious, comfortable setting, it's definitely worth stopping by. First time checking out Koin Cafe! I got a plain cold brew, and it was pretty good--had a nice almost fruity flavor to it that I really liked. My wife got the peppermint patty mocha latte, which was also solid. I liked that it wasn't super sweet, and the mint flavor kind of built up as you kept drinking it. This place seems super chill--quiet music, people studying or working, lots of tables. Definitely seems like a great spot to get some work done or just hang out for a bit. Only downside was that it was pretty freezing inside. I was nearly shivering even with a hoodie on. Overall, solid spot! Was excited to try this place bc a friend recommended it to me. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the intense and overwhelming smell of cigar or cigarettes. It was a bit suffocating and I don't know where it was coming from. I ordered a cappuccino and it came out quick, but sadly the foam wasn't great and the espresso tastes burnt and very acidic. The straw that broke the camel's back was the selection of merch. All the merch was religious - references to God and Jesus. If I had seen the merch first, I would have walked out and not ordered anything. Sadly, it was a disappointing and confusing (why so religious) coffee shop experience. read more

Found this place by scrolling on IG. This place is out of the way for me but I like to try other coffee houses. Came here on a Sunday and it's tucked away like a hidden gem. The place is very spacious with plenty of room to sit and it's very bright. As soon as I came in I was greeted right away. Staff is friendly which is nice. I ordered an iced cinnamon roll latte and an almond croissant. Two items were a little over $15. A bit pricey. I then saw that the almond croissant was $7.50! EEK. Both were good. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back but I wouldn't make another special trip out here. read more

Made it a mission to explore WC's cafes and so happy to have come across Koin! A largely space cafe serving up pastries and solid cups of coffee. Big spacious interior with lots of natural light and plenty of seating. I stopped in prior to work and did not run into an 8am rush and was able to order quickly. Got an Iced Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte and it was absolutely delicious! Sweet, great tasting coffee and loved the flavors syrup you could even see the bits of cinnamon through out the drink. Also, really like the ice they use for their drinks. Service was quick, friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to work on your laptop or catching up with friends. Noise level is appropriate and environment is comfortable. We had an appointment nearby and also needed a spot with reliable wifi and readily available tables for us to park our laptops at. The local Peets and Starbucks, with their very tiny sq. footage and limited table capacity seemed like dubious choices, so my wife searched on Yelp and found Koin Coffee. Located inside a commercial office complex, free parking is readily available in the private lot. And the interior is very open, spacious, and clean; with TONS of tables to choose from. Although we arrived a little earlier in the morning, the place quickly started to fill up as we were working through a few Zoom calls. Koin coffee has a pretty good selection of caffeinated drinks to choose from. Though unless you are working at one of the offices in the complex, this is definitely a more intentional destination as it will require driving. read more

Delicious coffee and great menu for light bites. I love the spacious seating situation. No crammed tables, and there's plenty of seating. I came during holiday season and the cafe was decorated with lights and other cute props. Cashiers were friendly even at 7am -- a great start to the day! They have wifi but I didn't see many outlets, only one behind the couch and in the corner. Everything I've tried is good with the exception of the avocado. The avocado is too mashed and tastes like chemicals. It reminds me of those prepackaged guacamole cups from the grocery store so I can't recommend it. read more

On a strong recommendation from a friend, I stopped by Koin Coffee early on a weekday around 8:30AM. This is a very large and open coffee shop, plenty of tables, chairs, easily 3 times the size of most coffee places. I had a Cafe Latte' with regular milk and a warmed up cinnamon bun which was amazing! I sat over by the couch area in one of the 2 plush chairs there to spend a while reading my book enjoying my coffee. There was a father there with his toddler who was easily amused by the small play area next to the couch - they even have a toy espresso machine! Service: Very good Ambiance: Nice, because it's spread out, not loud and there are floor to ceiling large windows on 2 of the walls so nice and bright. My friend said they also have amazing avocado toast so I'll have to stop by for lunch sometime. read more

Koin has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in the area! Their vanilla bean latte is divine and I love that they use organic milk. Their drinks have been really consistent. I'm never one to finish my drinks but theirs has me wanting more. I love that their coffee has a strong coffee taste vs milk and sugary. Oh and their Decaf? Amazing. Their decaf beans use the Swiss water method vs the chemical process and you can taste the difference. They also have great chai, it's very lightly sweetened but the addition of the vanilla bean syrup makes it really tasty. I get a 1/2 caf vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it has the perfect amount of caffeine for the caffeine sensitive! 5 stars for organic milk Swiss process decaffeination process house made syrups consistency, space, and staff! their thick ice cubes that don't melt in two seconds! I'm so excited to have found a great coffee shop in the area!!! It was my first time visiting, and it did not disappoint. The shop is big and spacious, lots of natural lighting and really clean interior design. There's a lot of seating and a great space to cowork -- Just a note that they do not have outlets The staff was amazing!! Julianna and Gabe were extremely attentive and super sweet. I had a difficult order and they managed to help me with ease. Their service made my visit a great experience! Additionally, the coffee is extremely smooth. I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and a teddy graham latte which were delicious. It was the perfect amount of coffee and milk, which I usually have to customize the other shops, but I love that it is very coffee forward here. Did I mention their syrups are made in House??! It makes a huge difference in the taste and I'm glad that Koin coffee goes that extra step to ensure a pleasant experience. Clean, very large, and plenty of tables. This is less of a sit and work type of cafe as it was very cold and noisy with staff conversation and singing. It's not a particularly cozy or aesthetically pleasing cafe if that's what you're looking for. The girls working the front were friendly and organized. I didn't love my drink tbh, which was a cappuccino. I'm not sure if it's just the type of bean I don't like, foam can be improved a bit if getting nit picky. read more

Who knew that there was a coffee shop right outside of kaiser? We've been going to kaiser for years and never noticed it, but there were so many people there that I guess everybody knows about us. The tables were filled in. The ambience was really cool. they have a great little store area and nice little things on the wall walls. I like the name that it comes from. I think it was a Greek word or something. It reminds me of my Swedish word Fika which means to take a break and have coffee and a pacer with a friend and that's what the name of this coffee shop means I got a holiday coffee flavor of peppermint and it was really nice because it wasn't over powering. The bad news is that the black coffee was not hot. We got the sourdough chocolate chip cookie. It was just OK. Nothing special. We absolutely loved the cranberry scone. I highly recommend this place, but I would skip the black drip coffee, and the chocolate chip cookie. read more

I can't rave enough about Koin coffee! Lots of tables to work at, friendly staff, and the turkey pesto sandwich is the best cafe sandwich I've probably had in this part of town. Don't forget a sourdough cinnamon bun to end on a sweet note. Their matcha has a touch of cinnamon or nutmeg that makes it a standout drink. Hidden coffee shop near the Kaiser Shadelands. My mom popped into this coffee shop after getting her blood drawn at Kaiser. It's has plenty of seating inside and outside. The cashier said that they had opened in Sept. 2024. What a great addition to the area. He said that they make their own syrups as well. The iced whole milk lattes were delicious and it was nice that they didn't fill the whole cup with tons of ice. I used to work right by this place, and am so sad Koin Coffee wasn't around during that time! I visited Koin Coffee after driving by, and was really pleased with my experience. The shop itself is really cute - it's modern and spacious, and the glass windows throughout the store allow for so much natural sunlight to come in. I would love to grab my laptop and get some work done inside the shop. The staff was nice and attentive. To drink, I ordered a vanilla oatmilk latte and it was really good. I really enjoyed the strong taste of the coffee and the house-made vanilla syrup really complimented that. I also ordered an avocado toast with a boiled egg on top, and it was pretty solid! I loved the touch of the fried onions on top, I would never have thought to add those. It was a pretty standard avocado toast, but the onions really brought it over the top!
