Coffee was good and was a nice spot to get some work done! I enjoyed the cafe's aesthetics and gratitude theme, a good reminder! Service was quick and I appreciate when they have self serve water and lots of outlets! Friendly staff and warm environment!

I'm always on the search for a great study/work cafe with great ambience, healthy food options, delicious coffee, friendly service, and strong wifi. Had their avocado toast with egg but requested no butter. Also had an almond milk latte and a pastry. Their staff is super friendly and food is good. They provide free water. There are tables with chairs or benches and counter tops with high chairs to work on your laptop. Most customers were there to work/study so the ambience was quiet and respectful. There is also a big back room. The WiFi was a little slow on the day I was there.

Hubby and I were driving around and stumbled in this cafe to just grab a drink. I ordered the Hot vanilla chai tea and hubby got the Iced hibiscus tea lemonade and we chose to enjoy our drinks in the cafe. The drinks were brought to us and I love how the tea was presented right down to the timer to let me know when it was steeped enough. The cafe is open and cozy. It looks like some people were studying and it was a nice vibe people were kind. When the tea was brought to me our seat neighbors had to ask what was ordered as they really like the hot tea presentation. I enjoyed my hot tea from the presentation, taste and smell. I did not even add anything to my tea it was just that good to me. I always like a good loose leaf tea. Hubby's drink was good from what he shared and I loved the colors on his drink too. The menu of drinks is a good selection something for everyone and they had some pastries as well. I would come back if in the area.

Came in here to conduct a professional meeting. This space was quiet, warm and welcoming. My wife and I both had a pastry and a smoothie. They are open into the evening. Free parking lot.

Beautiful ambiance and would be the perfect place to study! The staff were nice, the service was very quick. I ordered the Tea Lemonade (Hibiscus Berry flavor) and it was pretty good. I prefer sweet, so this was on the more sour side to me, but still refreshing. I would love to come back to try the coffee and food!

Green tea - they didn't put it into the nice setting shown in the photo. It's just a cup.

I come here regularly. It was disappointing today because the service lady wouldn't put my tea into the regular nice looking tea set as shown in the photo. She didn't flat out so no but was so hesitant so I finally said ok fine no need. Then a minute later I saw that she left the coffee shop. So I guess she wanted to leave - but could have just told someone else to help out if she doesn't want to. I don't know- maybe it doesn't even come in that nice setting shown in the photos. This is my first time ordering the tea.

The people are so kind and the space is amazing! The matcha is quite watery, so I added extra matcha but I think the matcha quality is not good. It still tasted watery, and it's quite expensive for $12 matcha.

I came in and it was packed! People were either working on their computers or socializing. There were many tables and chairs, but most were occupied and I found a nice comfy bench to sit on while I waited for my extra hot vanilla latte. I saw they had a back room as well where I saw some patrons go straight into while bringing food from outside. My coffee was mid, but the presentation was nice.

Coffee shop located in a busy strip mall in Concord that includes lots of eateries. This coffee shop seems to be a very popular hang out spot as this place was packed during our visit. (Maybe because it was the holidays, but it seemed like some people were doing work here as well). They have a menu full of lots of classic caffeinated beverages as well as some that unique and fun. The baristas here are very friendly - I even was chatting with one for a bit where I was visiting from. I ended up ordering an eggnog latte and it was delicious while providing me what the caffeine kick that I needed. We didn't get to hang out since we were still doing a bit of holiday shopping, but this place definitely looks like you can spend some quality time there. Seems like plenty of parking with its own lot, but with these places, they can get really busy.

DRINKS: I couldn't resist the temptation to order off of the winter menu (that ends feb!)...1) matcha peppermint latte and 2) trinity latte. MATCHA PEPPERMINT - matcha has no bitter aftertaste which makes it no comment amazing - however, lackluster peppermint... you taste it once and you never seem to achieve them mint vibes ever again TRINITY - very light nutmeg, cinnamon, etc flavoring - very sweet even when ordered "less sweet" per individual taste for which this cup was order SERVICE: quite frustrating to say the least. Had to repeat my name multiple times and my first name is not very original aka very very very common...wasn't very nice either. AMBIENCE: very instagram spot worthy (you know that back drop with fake grass and glowing cursive lights... that's what I'm talking about). Lots of light colored furniture which brings out the freshness and calmness vibes. Makes you want to stay here for quite a long time. Going around 1034am, this place was nearly packed. Has limited (3 sections) outdoor seating. Located next to a church and thus in a plaza with a private parking lot. Would I come back? I love the name of the store. But I'd try others before routinely calling this my home base.

Pumpkin pie matcha, Matcha Chai, Maple cinnamon latte
    Gilberto C.

Excited to try a new matcha place in east bay so a couple of friends and I stopped by Gratitude Coffee Bar. This was sadly one of the lesser matcha places I've been too. I personally had the pumpkin pie matcha which came with the sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin spice on top of the ice. I was excited to try their fall flavors which maybe was my mistake and their regular drinks are better. The matcha itself tasted super watered down. I couldn't really even taste any matcha nor pumpkin just mostly cinnamon and water. For almost $10 I was hoping for a better drink. My friend ordered the matcha chai and she had the same issue with hers. We all collectively agreed this matcha was probably not the best any of us had tried. The maple cinnamon latte was also subpar. It didn't taste watered down but it wasn't amazing. We did order a couple pastries which were good! The location itself was also very cute and spacious. There's lots of space for people who would like to sit down and get some work done. We did go on a Monday so it may not have been at its peak business. The workers were also nice when ordering. My recommendation; if you want to go to this place maybe just stick to the basic menu.

The best coffee spot in the Bay Area! Excellent service. Excellent excellent coffee. And one of the few places that still give you a real coffee mug with saucer for your coffee or latte. It's really the fine details that makes this place so special. Love this place!!

We decide to sit at the bar area to sit on the stools instead of taking up a table. We ordered the crispy chicken eggs Benedict and choco banana pancakes. Let me tell you, the portions are large.. so make sure you bring an appetite. We ended up sharing our plates and I think we both agreed that we loved the crispy chicken eggs Benedict most- but they were both really delicious. The chicken was crispy. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The crispy potatoes, even though at first I was a little disappointed there was no hashbrowns, I am so glad! Those potatoes are amazing! The pancakes were pretty delicious as well, but I think the toppings and the caramelized banana bananas on the side were the best part. We also tried two different drinks. A Matcha latte as well as a 'butterfly pea latte'- which I believe was a lavender latte maybe? They were both very beautiful and delicious. The only downside to our experience here was that because it was pretty busy, our service was not as fast as we would like. So we had to ask for a couple of things, after getting the server's attention. Other than that, we had an amazing experience. We will be back to try more things on the menu soon!

Our orders were taken in a timely manner. The waitress was nice and helpful. We waited about 15 to 20 mins for our food. When the food came, my bacon was burnt (I asked for crispy, not burnt), and my French fries were cold. How does food that takes so long to find out come out cold and wrong? My wife's biscuit was together in the top and broken up on the bottom AND served on a dirty plate. We sent all the above back. He country potatoes had no seasoning on them, and the omelet looked on cooked on the egg portion. The food and cheese that was supposed to be cooked in the inside because it is an omelet was not put together as an omelet. It was like the egg just served as a blanket. She did not eat the majority of her food. This does not happen often. The biscuit was good the 2nd time. My bacon came back the same way, I ate around the burnt areas. The bacon was salty. The manager or owner (I'm unsure of who he was. He did not introduce himself) walked around asking how everything was. I was very honest. He took off 20% from the bill. We will not be going back.

But surprise, surprise -- it actually tasted like real matcha! It was delicious! For my meal, I tried the cowboy scramble, which I swear was everything but the kitchen sink tossed in a pan. It was hearty, satisfying, and totally hit the spot. The only hiccup? The melted butter they used on the toast had a weird aftertaste. This spot came up, and although my wife and I have driven past it many times, we've never stopped in. Today, I decided to finally give it a try. After looking through the Google photos, I changed my mind and ordered a breakfast plate instead of a sandwich. Parking was a little challenging. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and had to circle the block a few times before finding a spot directly in front of the diner. When I walked in, I wasn't sure whether I should seat myself or wait to be seated. All of the waitresses appeared busy, so I stood near the entrance. Once she was available, Marianna greeted me. Initially, I wasn't a fan of being asked whether I was picking up food rather than whether I was dining in or taking out, but I quickly realized they may be accustomed to regular customers who already know the process. Since it was my first visit, I explained that I wasn't sure if I should seat myself. Personally, I think a sign near the entrance would be helpful for first-time guests. Since I was dining alone, I chose a seat at the counter and ordered the Sugar Plum Special with cheese grits and sourdough toast. While waiting for my food, I noticed something that concerned me. The staff did not appear to be wearing gloves, and I observed food being handled after touching various surfaces, including condiments, plates, glasses, and trash areas. While I understand that food service relies heavily on proper handwashing practices, I personally felt uncomfortable watching bread being handled directly by hand. I requested that my toast be handled with a utensil instead, and my request was accommodated without issue. When my food arrived, my eggs were cooked exactly as requested--scrambled hard--and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The bacon was a little saltier than I personally prefer, but that's more about my taste than the preparation. Overall, both items were flavorful. Now, let's talk about the grits. I come from a strong Southern background, and we take our grits seriously. The presentation was fantastic. The butter melting on top and the cheese looked absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the texture wasn't there on the first serving. The grits were noticeably gritty and undercooked. After a couple of bites, I sent them back and requested they be cooked a bit longer. One of the waitresses explained that customers typically need to request the grits "well done." That was surprising to me because I've always believed grits should naturally be cooked until smooth and creamy. In my opinion, that's how they're meant to be served. Thankfully, the second batch was much better. While they still could have been stirred a bit more, the texture improved significantly and was much closer to what I expected. I also want to recognize Marianna for her excellent service. She was accommodating, attentive, and handled my concerns professionally throughout the meal. Overall, I would return. The restaurant has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and an old-school diner feel that is becoming harder to find these days. It reminded me of the kind of place you'd visit after church on a Sunday morning or somewhere you'd go with your grandparents for a comforting home-cooked meal. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the welcoming environment and friendly service left a positive impression on me.

We decided to try it today and lucked out, we arrived about 11 and we were seated right away. Sevice was friendly and efficient. We ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich on sourdough with fries and the Concord omlette (sub bacon for ham, mushrooms and swiss) with country potatoes. Food came out quickly, it was flavorful and exactly what we wanted. I asked for a side of ranch and it was delicious! If you are in the area and are looking for a causal diner, this is it.

Cozy diner serving generous portions!…read more I took my mom here for lunch on a Sunday. Most of the tables were occupied but we were able to get a seat at a table near the bar. We were given menus right after being seated and the waitress came back a few minutes later. I'd say service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. This is what we ordered: * Organic beet salad with ranch dressing, $13 - delicious and refreshing salad with romaine, sliced beets, avocado chunks, grape tomatoes, nuts, sliced red onions, and feta cheese. I chose ranch and thought it paired well with the salad. * Fish and chips, $16.95 - 5 crispy battered cod (tasted like cod to me) pieces with plenty of French fries and a side of tartar sauce and lemon wedges. My mom liked how the batter was thin and crispy. The fish pieces were a little smaller than my hands. * Very berry waffle, $15.95 - soft waffle with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries dusted with powdered sugar and came with syrup on the side. The berries were sweet and the waffle was very tasty with syrup on top. * Sweet potato fries, $5.95 - crispy outside and soft inside. I love sweet potato fries and theirs were delicious. I ate it with ketchup, ranch, hot sauce, and tartar sauce. The portions were pretty big so my mom and I split everything. We ended up taking some fries home. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I found a hair in one of the containers of ranch that came with the salad, I thought the fries tasted a bit stale and dry when they were cold, and I wish the waffle came with butter and wish it was a little more crispy. Overall, I did enjoy my lunch here and my mom and I would come back! I'd try one of the omelettes next time.
