    ube latte
    Maria J.

It was my first time trying an ube latte and it was a great experience here. The latte was done very nicely, you could tell the barista has good skill. They were also extremely friendly at the kiosk and it felt easy to talk to them or possibly get advice on what to drink. The ambiance indoors was very clean and organized, a good spot for an interview or a get together. Lots of comfortable seating available.

This is an unassuming coffee place in the mall where BevMo is and Raleys once was. The coffee was awesome. I had a latte and it was perfect. Nice dark roast flavor popping through the foam. It's a quiet place with a few tables inside and out. They have one barista and one counter person so bring a little patience. It's worth it.

Iced Oat Green Chai (oat milk) w/ cinnamon on top

I came here at around 7:40am today. First thing I noticed was how spacious this place was. It seems like a great place to study. The woman helping me at the counter was really sweet and helped me figure out which drink to order which I did end up choosing an Iced Green Chai with oat milk. My favorite part was the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. The concentrate is delicious and you can definitely taste the earthiness from the Green Tea. I'll come back to try their gelato next. Come and support a local business!

I've been to contra costa coffee a few times, and it seems like the best place to get a good espresso or tea along ygnacio valley road. This time, I ordered their blackberry jasmine green tea as an Arnold Palmer and it was very refreshing. The tea is very floral, and the hints of mango and orange peel give it a tropical-like scent. The tea tastes very much like it smells. They usually have seasonal house-made syrups, and I believe all of their syrups are house made which I really appreciate. I've never been in the morning (which I presume is their rush hour) but every time I've been there it hasn't been busy at all. The employees are very kind and ready to make recommendations based on your preferences. I definitely recommend Contra Costa Coffee Company!!!

$9 for a milky bland latte. Not the place if you like a strong coffee flavor or spending a reasonable amount on a latte.

OK coffee, not a huge menu, service was relatively quick. Mocha was not very chocolately, unfortunately.

I also ordered their salted butter rice crispy treat which I'm hooked on. It's buttery marshmallow good with a light crunch. The service is pretty quick even when there's a line outside. Staff works the line pretty fast. Ambiance is small with one bench only inside for sitting. Cold water is on table for customers. There were many to choose from, and I'm so glad I overheard the other customers ahead of us saying that the vanilla salted almond toffee flavor was what they are known for. We ended up getting that flavor as one of our two. For our second flavor of two scoops, we ended up getting the marshmallow neapolitan. -Vanilla salted almond toffee: I can see what the other customers meant for "this is what they're known for." I love that the almond is candied/carmelized with toffee. It gives it a roasty flavor, which gives the flavor so much depth. The almond also gives a bit of crunch/texture, which makes this flavor so unique. -Marshmallow neapolitan: I'm not typically someone who likes marshmallows or goes for neapolitan, as I don't like super sweet and I don't like mixing flavors. You can definitely taste all 3 flavors--vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. The marshmallow doesn't make the ice cream as sweet as I would have thought, it really just adds the marshmallow texture. The ice cream is very thick and creamy. It doesn't melt too fast to meld all the flavors together (which I don't really like), and I really appreciate that the ice cream holds together so well! The gentleman helping us was very patient in letting us try several flavors. The shop had a more old time feel. There is a bench to sit on to eat for a bit, but no tables. Overall, I would totally come back to try their unique flavors!

The chocolate frozen yogurt is that deep, dark flavor that makes me go, "oooooooh." The vanilla is rich with just the right amount of sweetness, and their seasonal flavors like chocolate mint chip, white chocolate, pistachio, and peanut butter are fabulous. They always have a large selection of flavors which include the NSA (no sugar added) choice. The gelato is positively decadent, and again, they have a wide variety of flavors. Every one we have tried has been delicious. Top that off with the nicest people, who treat you like a friend, encourage you to taste flavors (sometimes even with hot fudge topping!) this is an absolute find. Parking is plentiful, and there are lovely tables outside. What are you waiting for?

The Yogurt shop was clean, and, well-organized, and bright. We were warmly greeted by one of the owners who genuinely appreciated us visiting on a cold wet afternoon. The tart yogurt was fantastic with the perfect balance between tang and sweetness. We sampled their Tahitian vanilla and loved it! The watermelon lemonade was also very refreshing. Each yogurt comes with 2 toppings and the option to add more for .75c. Located across the parking lot from Safeway, you'll find plenty of parking. I'll be back to try their shaved ice and gelato next time!

The pistachio pastry we got did not disappoint. It was delish. We ordered a latte and their Havana latte was recommended. I loved the Havana latte, one of the best lattes I've had. It was flavorful but not super sweet as it has condensed milk. We ordered and paid at register both the cashier and barista were super friendly and polite. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I worked from the barstools for about an hour and a half. After the breakfast rush had passed, I noticed plenty of open tables along the wall. Since I had thrown out my back this week and desperately needed more support, I moved to one of them. The sign said the table was reserved for up to two hours for customers who ordered food. Great--I had ordered food and had only been sitting there for about an hour. Nope. The same barista who took my order approached me to explain that the table was reserved for customers who ordered food. When I reminded her that I had, she asked what I ordered--as if she hadn't personally rung me up. She then told me I needed to return to the backless barstool. I challenged this because it made absolutely no sense. There were plenty of open tables, I was a paying customer and I was within the posted two-hour limit. She simply repeated that it was the policy. To be clear, the problem isn't that the policy was poorly communicated. The policy should not exist in the first place. Kicking a paying customer out of an empty chair and directing them back to a barstool is a horrible business model that lacks basic respect and hospitality. I left angry, embarrassed and regretting the money I spent here. I will absolutely not be returning.
