Inadvertently found this gem! I was in the area and saw CCC. I'm glad I did. I ordered an oatmilk latte extra hot (which they got right) and a scone. The latte was yummy and it was "extra hot" which most places get wrong. The apricot/cranberry scone was especially delicious. It wasn't overly sweet nor had a great mixture of taste (a local bakery makes the pastries so it's not made in house). The service was also great. A young lady helped me and she was friendly and answered a couple of questions that I had. The place was inviting and there were plenty of seating inside and outside. It's in a mall strip so parking was not an issue (there was a disabled parking right I front with easy access to the shop). I definite recommend this place. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and latte. Parking was ample since it's part of a larger complex. The staff greeted us right away and were warm, patient, and helpful with suggestions. Their menu includes breakfast dishes that looked tempting along with gluten free pastries. We tried the Castle Rock latte made with coffee cherry and it was delicious! I also grabbed a slice of matcha cake which was light, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. Lots of people were catching up over coffee while others were working on their laptops. Free Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay awhile. I love that they make their own syrups and rotate seasonal flavors, which adds something special and wants me to keep coming back to try different lattes! I like their gelato. I like that the owner is highly motivated to perfect his coffee knowledge. And it sounds like he's gone to extensive education to acquire such knowledge. The atmosphere is very nice. Kind of quaint eclectic maybe. I'm knowing interior designer so don't go by my statement. But I like it. Their pastries are good too. Stumbled upon this coffee shop leaving the nearby gym. They have flavors like ube and pandan which is rare to find out here so I was excited to try it. The staff is really nice and assisted us quickly. They have house made syrups which I appreciate for local coffee shops! The coffee shop has plenty of table space to study or lounge and chat with friends. I ordered an ube latte which wasn't sweet enough for me, so after a sip I asked for 2 extra pumps which made it perfect! My friend ordered their special latte which was with ginger and turmeric (forgot the name) and it had had a light hint of ginger but nonetheless was good. This is an unassuming coffee place in the mall where BevMo is and Raleys once was. The coffee was awesome. I had a latte and it was perfect. Nice dark roast flavor popping through the foam. It's a quiet place with a few tables inside and out. They have one barista and one counter person so bring a little patience. It's worth it. read more

I came here at around 7:40am today. First thing I noticed was how spacious this place was. It seems like a great place to study. The woman helping me at the counter was really sweet and helped me figure out which drink to order which I did end up choosing an Iced Green Chai with oat milk. My favorite part was the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. The concentrate is delicious and you can definitely taste the earthiness from the Green Tea. I'll come back to try their gelato next. I used to go to Grind coffee shop back in the days before the contra costa coffee opened up in the same location. I like to support small businesses. Now I go to cc coffee get a cup of coffee and a pastry for breakfast once in a while. My favorite is mocha but their mocha can't compare with Peet's coffee. One day I got my mocha from there and it was cold and no taste of chocolate, very disappointed. I will still recommend this coffee shop and courage to support small business. read more

It was my first time trying an ube latte and it was a great experience here. The latte was done very nicely, you could tell the barista has good skill. They were also extremely friendly at the kiosk and it felt easy to talk to them or possibly get advice on what to drink. I really enjoyed this place. I needed some caffeine, and found this place on a whim. I came in and ordered an iced black tea, and the caffeine almost instantly woke me up. The employees were really friendly, and they took care of all the customers really well. They have some music playing in the background, but it's not overwhelming that you can't concentrate. They also have WiFi here, so now that I know that, I can definitely see myself coming back and doing some work here. read more

Together with the de-volution of the obnoxious noise of hip-hop, rap, & punk masquerading as a music stream is accompanied by an abrupt cut- back in hours, already tarnished by some uppity staff taking in tables & stacking chairs a full hour before closing time, a sure sign of lackluster customer appreciation, if not laziness; including pontificating at the service counter about tipping, or lack thereof, as if tipping were an entitlement, not part of regular earnings aka things earned, not paid. Such are telling signs of mismanagement, almost as if the absentee ownership has a self-inflicted death-wish of imminent closure. Should this shop's devolution persist at its current breakneck pace, then closure could regretfully but promptly follow. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Walnut Creek. It's an independent shop, and unlike the corporate chains, it's a relaxing place to sit and sip. They won't rush you out just to make room for the next customer. There is ample parking. The owner has a master's degree in food science from UC Davis, and is extremely knowledgeable about everything coffee. The quality of the coffee is markedly better than anywhere else I've tried. The staff are polite and the service is fast. On the rare occasion something isn't quite right, like an order mix-up, just ask politely they'll remake it for you at lightning speed. Occasionally there are one or two people who talk on the phone for 30+ minutes or take Zoom calls inside the shop. I'm not crazy about that, but headphones work great. read more

I've been to contra costa coffee a few times, and it seems like the best place to get a good espresso or tea along ygnacio valley road. This time, I ordered their blackberry jasmine green tea as an Arnold Palmer and it was very refreshing. The tea is very floral, and the hints of mango and orange peel give it a tropical-like scent. The tea tastes very much like it smells. They usually have seasonal house-made syrups, and I believe all of their syrups are house made which I really appreciate. I've never been in the morning (which I presume is their rush hour) but every time I've been there it hasn't been busy at all. Super cute place, love the abundance of options while still being a true coffee shop. They have three types of non dairy milk which is a PLUS. They have almond, oat, and MYLK - first time trying MYLK and it's just okay. I won't get it again because I LOVE the creaminess if oat but it was worth the try. MYLK is a blend of oat, coconut cream, and fava bean (if I remember correctly). The person working the counter was super friendly too. They are offering tastings of their gelato. I tried white peach and fior de latte - both good but really wanted coffee which they were out of so I'll try again some other time. read more

If you are in the area, you have to check out this little coffee shop/gelato place. The coffee is amazing, I always order oat milk cappuccino, was never disappointed. Gelatos are great too, our family favorite is POG(assorted fruit sorbet), milk chocolate and tiramisu. They change flavors often. Before making the order they will let you try several flavors (currently the front fridge broke and that option is unavailable). You can buy popular flavors to go in small batches too. Their pastries are just ok. It is Staff is always friendly and offers loyalty cards,which usually got full in very quickly. Also there is a slight cash discount, if you want to save a little. This coffee shop offers inside and outside sitting, but no public restrooms, which is inconvenient if you came with little kids. read more

We came here based on the yelp reviews. It's in a large shopping center so there's plenty of parking. I came around 10 am there are a lot of tables that are close together. It was a bit warm inside. The menu is up front. They also have pastries and gelato. I got an ice latte with an extra pump of vanilla. It took a little while to get our coffee. The coffee is strong but it is good. read more

I've lived in the area for quite sometime and frequently visit the post office in this plaza. This morning on my way to starbucks, I asked myself... "Why do I go to Starbucks when I can support a newly discovered local coffee shop?" And here I am. Immediately I could tell this place cares about their customers based on the fact that the people behind the counter greeted individuals by name and made personal small talk. The gentle music playing in the background was soft but noticeable as I nod my head to Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survive" (A GODDAMN BOP) and the homestyle decor full of cats, coffee themes, and various seasonal fixtures that were carefully thought out to compliment the small and quaint nature of the business. Im ranting, but I do want to highlight the latte i got, while delicious I took the top off to see a beautiful design. To the kind young lady in the black with the glasses... thank you for putting care into my coffee. Had I not removed the top, I never would've have noticed your beautiful efforts into making this experience even more satisfying. So close to home. My husband and came across this place last year. I love this little coffee shop. My fave is the Gibraltar and they make excellent latte as well. The pastry is good no wow factor. The staff are very nice and pleasant. They also have gelato by" Ginger Gelato" and one of my favorite is the kalamansi flavor it's refreshing. My only comment is you need a little bit more brightness inside the store and add some cozy elements. Need more chairs outside too read more

Nice local coffee shop when you want something different then your ubiquitous chain options. I had a nitro cold brew, which was the best one I'd ever had. Smooth as you'd expect but with a pleasant cocoa finish that was a pleasant surprise. My wife had an ube latte, which she really enjoyed as well and she said it wasn't too sweet. Ube isn't something you see everyday, but we're both half Filipino so she had to try it. For those who don't know it's purple yam. Note they have a punch card that you can use each time you come in. My wife was there once before and wasn't offered one the first time, but we did this time. So be sure you get one if you plan on going more than once! read more
