Food is A one. Service needs some help. Sat down and our waiter brought 3 waters for 4 people. Did not come back with a fourth..i had to ask. We ordered our Mimosa flight BEFORE we ordered food. It didnt come until we were almost done with our food. And because they were busy, they kept coming to the table to take away stuff and giving us the hurry up look. Being that our drinks had just arrived as we were finishing our meal, it was not a good feeling to then feel rushed to drink a whole Mimosa flight that had only arrived at the table 15 mins earlier, when we'd been there over an hour!
This place is wonderful! We tried the omelettes which were huge and delicious! The farm house omelette was filled with yummy vegetables. The chicken apple sausage was also loaded with sausage and mushrooms. The herbed potatoes are a meal in itself. We opted for the coffee cake option and it was a huge delicious portion. Service was also good
Went here for breakfast with some girlfriends. The inside is modern, clean, bright. We were able to get seated right away around 9:30a on a Sunday for 4. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles with the gravy on the side. There was sooo much chicken I only ate half, perfectly fried and delicious The waffle was also really good! My girls ordered the breakfast sandwich and breakfast chow mein. All of them said it was good as well and they'd come back. I'd recommend this place for all the variety and delicious food. Big plus is there's so much parking since it's in a strip mall!
First time dining at this Breakfast Club location as I've only been to their Lafayette branch. It was a nice day so we decided to sit in their outdoor dining patio with plenty of shade. Their menu was quite extensive with so many good choices. With the big selection of items, I debated between their homemade hash and a traditional morning breakfast...ultimately went with the two eggs over easy, pork sausage links, hash browns, and coffee cake. The service was attentive and friendly. Our coffees and waters cups were refilled frequently. My breakfast was prepared perfectly and the crispy hash browns were a hit! Before I left, I also placed a togo order for their Loco Moco with the veggie patty (portobello mushroom). The gravy and mac salad were delicious!
I went with something new and tried the short rib hash. I was afraid it was going to be dominated by potatoes but it was actually dominated by short rib meat. I actually finished all the short rib meat (super tender) and there was just enough potatoes. Service here as always, was solid.
I visited The Breakfast Club in Walnut Creek on May 2 around 9:30 AM. It was busy, but the wait wasn't long. The person I was meeting arrived about 30 minutes late, and the staff was very accommodating and made sure I was taken care of while I waited. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional despite how busy the restaurant was. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but once seated it was comfortable. They also offer outdoor seating. I ordered orange juice along with French toast, eggs, spinach, cheese, and bacon. My daughter had hot chocolate and a kids meal that came with a cute Oreo cookie. My stepdaughter ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast and a strawberry mimosa and appeared to enjoy her meal. The presentation of the food and drinks was beautiful. Everything looked great when it arrived at the table. Unfortunately, the food itself just wasn't for me. The hash browns tasted more like fried mashed potatoes, and overall the meal looked much better than it tasted. As someone who enjoys good food, I was disappointed because the flavors didn't match my expectations. The service was the highlight of the visit and is the reason for the rating. While I appreciated the staff and the atmosphere, the food simply wasn't something I enjoyed.
Terrific table service- friendly, stopping by often to check, food arrived at the same time. A bit loud with graduation celebrations, but it was OK. Music from the 80s wasn't so loud we couldn't hear each other. I went with the Cobb, while the others had chilaquiles, different style hollandaise eggs and avocado toast. All portions were generous and satisfying. My Cobb came with tasty grilled chicken, some sort of rub, and the usual suspects. I was satisfied. While we were there an older patron tripped over the small carpet at the entrance and fell. She seemed to be OK, and sat outside. Later a child tripped in the same area, but he caught himself. Maybe they should consider getting that removed.
Ambiance is very beautiful. Esthetically pretty. Service needs to add a little charm. Being that it's our first time there we were standing by the door ignored for a while. Little did we know we were supposed to sit ourselves. While placing our order, we were asking for suggestions and the server kept on saying he doesn't know anything because he's never tasted anything. He was a bit abrupt. No warmth- no customer service. Thankfully the food was amazing! I ordered two different Benedict's and they were perfect!! So flavorful, so delicious!
Service could use some help here. Had one coffee refill offered when we were 3/4 done eating. This was also the only time our server stopped by to ask how food was after it was initially dropped. I ordered the steak medium and the kitchen somehow cooked half of my steak well and the other half rare. I assume it's bc the steak was cut it uneven. Would've loved to fix this problem had someone touched the table a few minutes after we were served but no one came. Given it's a $31 brunch plate, I was disappointed. Flavor, however, was great. And so was that coffee cake -- it's why I'll be back. This place has good food but execution and service could use some attention.
We came on a busy Saturday morning and miraculously were seated right away. The decor is very cool, sort of modern farmhouse style. Service at the table was very fast/friendly. The food was all good with only one minor exception. Our favorite was the short rib hash. The avocado toast was beautiful and my wife enjoyed it. The s'more pancakes were insane and amazing-everyone had a bite. The only drawback was with the Korean Spicy fried chicken/fried rice. It was good overall, but there was sweet chili sauce all over everything. It overpowered the flavors of the chicken, eggs and rice. It comes with more on the side, so it would be good to allow the customer to add it (or not) as they'd like. We will be back to try other things because their menu is extensive and awesome.
There are so many breakfast/brunch spots in Walnut Creek to choose from! Breakfast Club is one of those solid, good ones that consistently has good food and decent customer service. My go-to order is always the crab cake benedicts. The crab cake is always perfectly seasoned and has a good amount of crab. The egg is always perfectly poached! I've been to a couple of local places that have actually served me an egg with no runny yoke. The crepes, waffles and other sweet dishes I've had have also been pretty delicious! Check them out!

There were so many options on the menu, it was hard to choose. Country Fried Steak & Eggs (5/5) - Solid breakfast combo! I got sunny-side-up eggs, hash browns, and a coffee cake. Gluten-Free Blueberry Banana Pancakes (3/5) - This was good, the combination was just a bit bland for me. There were 3 pancakes, I did not finish this. Such a big portion, this has to be shared.

I thought there was going to be a long wait, but nope - got seated right away. (There is outside seating too). The menu is on 1-1/2 pages, so it's not overwhelming. From liquid breakfasts (drinks) to omelets, skillets & scrambles...oh my! There's a nice variety of breakfasts. In the mood for a burger, sandwich or a salad - they have those too. I saw a couple order burgers and wow! They looked delicious. So I ordered my food. (Ribeye steak and eggs) it comes with hash browns (got the herbed style) and choice of bread (you can even get a coffee cake) I thought the herbed potatoes would have been chunks of potatoes with onions and herbs, but it came out looking like hash browns. It was good, but I was expecting it made differently. The food portions are huge, so come with a hearty appetite or save the rest for later on. I will be coming back to try their burgers. The reason for the 4 stars is at first I was brought food that I didn't order, so I had to wait a bit until I got my waiter's attention & had to wait for my meal to be prepared while my other 1/2 ate.
Came here on a Sunday around midday with the family as I had been wanting to pop by for a while. Ended up getting the eggs Benedict where I had one of the California and one of the Crab Cake variations. Both were pretty tasty though I wasn't too fond of the hash browns. They weren't bad, just different - very flat and a bit hard for my taste. The staff was friendly but our waiter wasn't particularly attentive even though the place wasn't too busy - maybe just understaffed at the time. Will come back though and try other items. read more

The service was questionable at best. My wife, who is celiac, asked about gluten free options and the server seemed confused about that request. The food came out just a little under seasoned and bland. The hash browns and veggie omelet were supposedly gluten free. But they all needed a lot more salt and maybe a salsa. Not sure we'll attempt a 2nd time. Everyone else in our party seemed to enjoy their meals and drinks. And it is a cute spot read more
I've been here twice now, & for the most part, the overall experience has been pretty great! The place definitely fills up quickly, so make sure you get there early if you can! I ordered the GEORGE SCRAMBLE: Scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, green onions, cheddar jack cheese, cream cheese, topped with avocado and sour cream. I asked for no bacon, which the waiter offered to give my husband (who also didn't eat meat). He ordered the BURRITO: Chorizo, eggs, green onions and cheddar jack cheese inside a flour tortilla. Topped with sour cream, pico, guac and jalapenos. Served with potato choice and refried beans. Substituted the chorizo for the SOYrizo. Everything had excellent flavor! We wanted some hot sauce, but didn't see our waiter again until he brought the check. Because the restaurant fills up pretty fast, it can also get a bit loud. Met with a friend here on a Sunday at 8 am - found a nice table by a window immediately, it didn't really start to fill up until around 9. I ordered the Midtown Scramble ($20) & should be able to survive on this meal for the entire day, if not into the week. A truly huge amount of food on a bed of hashbrowns with rye toast & a side of Hollandaise. There's no world where I could have finished this meal, but all of it was great. They do a great job of attending to coffee, and keep the table stacked with condiments & creamers. A great diner vibe in an area I didn't expect to find it. I'd return! read more

I only became aware of The Breakfast Club recently. Apparently this is a chain or franchise restaurant. And the first one I visited was this one in Walnut Creek with some co-workers. We came on a busy Friday lunchtime, and we were lucky to find one of their patio seating where we were able to squeeze in. Service was okay, but could be better. It took a couple of reminders to get our glasses of water. Once our food was ordered, it didn't take long for the food to arrive. Everything was plated very nicely and in good portions despite the prices are a bit higher than what I would like to given the quality and category of restaurant. Food taste and quality are standard. I would suppose that there's a standard of quality from one location to another. Nothing was particularly memorable, so it wouldn't necessarily be a place that I would automatically come to think of going to. read more

This place is great! The portion sizes are wonderful! The options are plentiful and their in-house jalapeño salsa was so good I bought one! You have the option to have toast or a coffee cake slice which is an awesome. read more
Second time eating here and the food is absolutely delicious, very well worth it in today's economy, I had the farmhouse omelette with added lump crab and shrimp, OMG.The service is fast , fun and friendly. Alex, will brighten your day, this young man has the personality of a manager, the energy of teenager, and the customer service as a Boss. The ambiance at first site is extremely clean, bright and lively. We would definitely go back. Let's get them their 5 stars back they definitely deserve it. read more

Great ambiance, so much natural light and I love the outside seating option! Everything looked delicious honestly but I ate here by myself so I ordered the chilaquiles! This was the FIRST time I've ever had it, and it was a great first impression of the dish! Definitely coming back to try something else! read more

Expensive menu, but you can tell the difference in quality here compared to other places. Excellent food. Large portions. The restaurant is small but they make it work. Nice staff and fun vibe. My son loves it here too! read more

The menu is extensive with an option for everyone! I really enjoyed the crepes and the hashbrown, and the peach cobbler pancakes were good as pancakes topped with sliced peaches (not so reminiscent of cobbler). The atmosphere was lively, service was quick and everyone was super friendly! I would love to come back and try more options soon! read more

I've been to the other location in Santa Clara. But this was my first time here. Ordered the ribeye steak and eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly and eggs were cooked correctly. Servers were very attentive and quick. It was busy but the wait wasn't terrible. Will come here again with the family. read more

First let me say I love their menu (same one as the Lafayette location), it makes me happy and excited just reading through all the choices, clearly laid out. Whoever made their menu I want to thank them. This restaurant is in the Ygnacio Plaza shopping center with ample free parking. There was just a little wait on a Sunday morning, and the young man at the front was hustling being the only host. We were given a nice table indoors as it was very hot outside. We enjoyed our meal, the portions are very large. I had the California French Toast which is smothered in fresh fruit, and comes with a little creme anglais sauce under the berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup. It's very sweet and large enough for two to share or a portion to take home. That's one of the decisions you have to make when you eat here, sweet or savory? If you're dining with a friend you can get both and share. read more

One of the best brunch spots I've been to in a long time! The restaurant has such a nice ambiance, very clean and welcoming. Justine, our waitress was just amazing; super attentive to our needs, made sure we had everything we ordered and even brought us another pancake that was made incorrectly. The food was 10/10. My favorites were the Homemade Hash with corned beef, Neptune Benny, and the Peach Cobbler Pancake!!! To die for!!!! We also got the trio of pancakes; s'mores, cookies and cream and the peach cobbler. We had a party of 10 with lots of kids so although it was chaotic we left super satisfied and full. I highly recommend Breakfast Club for a memorable brunch experience. read more
