    #1 Italian Sub
    Cynthia P.

This is sandwich shop is soooo good! I don't tend to visit many deli shops but am so glad that I got a chance to try this out. My company decided to group order from this shop and it was 10/10. Service was great. I had gave them a quick call prior to sending in an order to ask what was in their ingredients (such as pesto). I don't eat dairy so I just wanted to make sure! I ended up ordering the Italian sub with no cheese. The balance of flavor was perfect! Everything tasted freshly made! I will definitely come by in person next time!

Morucci's is my favorite East Bay spot when I'm craving some kind of sandwich! There is always a long line if you don't order ahead, but it's totally worth it for the abundance of options and the quality of the food! The steak and peppers is my favorite! Generous amount of steak and the sautéed peppers are sweet perfection. So good! The chicken caesar sandwich is a close number 2 for me. For breakfast, the bagel sandwiches are also delicious. Thanks Morucci's for consistently serving great food!

Really? This is the number one sandwich shop? I understand the new owners are thinking about opening new locations. I would focus on this one first. Just bc there's a line going out the door doesn't mean you don't have serious issues A cold case like this one is indicative of much deeper problems and the open kitchen lets the customer witness other worrying things, like a sandwich maker repeatedly wiping her hands on a disgusting brown towel The roast beef sandwich I had was ok with fresh Semifreddi bread, but swimming in mustard. I mean, I love mustard, but that was ridiculous. Other customers seemed anxious with the service, but the employees were having a good time chatting and grooving to the Latino beats playing in the kitchen This was *not* what I was expecting, shocking really

the good: i definitely understand local love and pride they place has been able to achieve! in a sea full of sandwiches chains, this place fees like a breath of fresh air. their ingredients taste so fresh and the sandwiches taste so homemade, i feel light and great after my sandwich. the bad: i got a toasted Dutch roll, which became extremely hard to eat. had even get some water to wash it down at a certain point. plus i did paid extra for the avocado and was so disappointed so the little avocado i got! if i have to pay for that extra avocado, i WANT my avocado experience in EVERY bite the Great: the service!! welcomed in with smiles. it was my first time at this deli and felt overwhelmed by options. the kind guy ringing me up, practically had to hold my hand during the whole process, but never once made me feel inconveniencing and instead was very helpful and nice. another reason I would definitely come back and give this burger.

By far hands down my favorite sandwich spot I'm from South Bay and I regularly crave these! But once a blue moon get a chance to grab one I order the: - Turkey with Bacon on Dutch Crunch: good protein, pickled yellow peppers, tomatoes/lettuce, chewy & crunchy bread! Soo good 5/5 stars Lots of parking in the back parking lot of street parking infront of the store. Good amount of seating, chips, & drinks! Oh and also, sooo many sandwich combos

A very popular deli with affordable prices on deli sandwiches! So many tasty sounding sandwiches, ended up trying the Tri Tip sandwich and the Pesto Chicken. Waited a good 35 minutes to order and love that they sell large bags of chips, family size! You can order online before you head over too, might save you a long wait to order. The Tri-tip sandwich is a Steak sandwich with melted cheese, horse radish, on garlic ciabatta (romaine, tomato, peppers, and onions. The pesto chicken sandwich is a Pesto, mayo, lettuce, spinach, tomato, bacon, chicken , cheese, with avocado. Both sandwiches were quite tasty and asked for Dutch Crunch on both. I'll definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches. The parking is horrible, limited street parking and a tiny parking lot. It was quite busy and everyone was hunting for a table after they ordered!

Dutch crunch roll with salami and pepper turkey and everything

This place is such a hidden gem, it's in the cuts of Walnut Creek you wouldn't just stumble upon it. When I remember, which would be after work or in the late afternoon when they are closed or sold out of bread. All that to say...Go early and call ahead. I was smart to go on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy and had a good 15-20 minute wait time but it was worth the wait. The staff was super friendly and had so much patience for people who don't know what they want or had to read all they text messages to get all the orders in. Definitely worth the drive and wait definitely my new favorite. So many aren't worth the wait and overpriced. That pepper turkey is amazing!

    Not "no lettuce"

They always get you on the take out. Heard great things about this place. Service was quick, sandwich was good. Just didn't understand the "no lettuce" part of the order.

    Larry M.

Ordered online this time, made the process much easier, and got lucky, the one handicapped parking spot was open!! Ordered a BLTA on ciabatta roll, and a High Maintenance salad. The sandwich was a little light on bacon , and the shredded lettuce didn't work well for me. The salad was fantastic, tons of stuff (I added artichokes), I was able to make two salads out of the box.

I hate that I always forget to take pics...anyways, this is my second time coming here for a sandwich. 1st time it was a bit busy but they did a great job getting your order out ASAP. 2nd time, I decide to order online to beat the line and I got a text when my sandwiches were ready for pick up. You head to the window, give your name and voila...you are ready to go. It's super hard to choose what sandwich to get because they all look so good!!

    #6 1/2 Prosciutto (w/ Tomato Mozzarella)
    Mia K.

YUMMMM!! Such a good spot for a medium priced sandwich. I got the 6.5 prosciutto caprese sandwich and I could taste every flavor of the ingredients. They have outside seating with umbrellas. This is a great place to go on a summer day or to get sandwiches before going to the beach. The service was fast. It was a busy Sunday and I got my sandwich within 10/15 minutes of ordering. Would recommend!!

    #16 Tri-Tip

This was my second time and couldn't make up my decision. I ended up ordering the #6-1/2 on a ciabatta bread! OMGGGG! It was delics! Next time I'll have to order the Tri-tip, both my granddaughter's shared the Tri-tip. They just wanted melted cheese with the tri-tip on a dutch roll. That looked delicious too!

    Kim B.

Needed to pickup sandwiches for birthday celebration. I was unable to place our order online as their system did not offer all the selections I needed. The deli was not crowded so I was able to order quickly. It took about 20 minutes for my 4 sandwiches and salad. The ingredients were all fresh. The sandwiches were all tasty.

Did they get rid of taking phone orders???? I really hope not, that's the only way I order from here. Edit: I mean ordering for individual same day asap pickup? Seems like…

They did take away phone orders but they do online ordering instead now! Moruccis.com/order

    Open on Sunday?

In early years it wasn't, but I've been there many sundays now. Website shows open 8am- 4pm.

Do they still accept fax orders? I haven't been in a while and haven't been able to find the fax number.

no Fax but Yes for TEXT...

Do you guys offer any hot chili oil or sauce for the sandwiches?

What size are their sandwiches ? Wondering if they are comparable to little luca in south sf ..12" standard size there

No sandwich other than little luca is that big. Quality better at moruccis imo

I work for a school in WC. We'd like to order food from this place to have it delivered on Friday, May 7th at 10:45am. There will be about 30 people who will order. I need to know when is the deadline to submit their order and also the menu?

I would call and let them know you have a big order and get their fax number or email. That's how we would normally order for work

Why does Morucci's charge additional 50 cents to takeout orders?

Extra packaging.... even though EVERYTHING is to go now

Does it offer gluten free bread?

Yes they have Gluten-free bread. 🙂 sandwiches are very tasty fresh

Does their phone not work? This is the second time I've tried calling for over 30 min and goes straight to "Verizon wireless...phone call could not be completed as called party is busy". I did not call during lunch hours so I don't quite understand.

They accept phone orders before 11am.

Can you kindly share me what kind of bread you can select from?

Sourdough, Dutch Crunch, Wheat, Ciabatta, Focaccia and Soft Rolls.

    Are they open Christmas Eve?

    No

Is there new hrs? We have tried multiple time to come get sandwiches and are closed by 5! Also try to call and no one answers before 5!

The posted hours are 7PM on the weekdays, but I work down the street and they have been locking their doors around 6:30 each night. I even try to call between 5:30-6 to place an order for pick up, and they do not pick up their phone. It's very…

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff. They took the time to tell me about what they had, and I ended up ordering the meatloaf sandwich with spicy cheddar. I'll tell you what--I think I just found my new favorite deli! The sandwich was absolutely incredible. Great flavor, generous portions, and easily one of the best deli sandwiches I've had in years. This message is purely on the price and the service of things I came in with my 2 daughters and ordered a total of 5 sandwiches, 3 of which were literally ham and cheese for my obvious 2 daughters that were with me and 1 for my son who was at home when asked if plain I said yes they just want ham and cheese and plain no mayo on one due to my small daughter being picky on sliced bread at that.. He makes them and it comes out to 70 dollars.. I had to get more money as my husband had sent it to me , the guy who made my sandwiches told the guy that I needed to pay and the shorter guy replied to him like yeah I told her, but she needs more money. I kind of felt embarrassed due to the tone he had said it in, needless to say when I was paying, I said something along the lines of $70 was kind of a lot. I didn't know that ham and cheese for a kid would be this expensive in which the guy replied we have kids sandwiches All you have to do is ask... I did not feel like that was a kind response..as again there was attitude.. I paid anyway and I get it things are expensive nowadays and something like a ham and cheese I probably could've made at home but decided to support a local business instead... suggest maybe adding kid options to the menu that's up above and a smile would go very far. I won't be going here again unfortunately.
