Cozy diner serving generous portions! I took my mom here for lunch on a Sunday. Most of the tables were occupied but we were able to get a seat at a table near the bar. We were given menus right after being seated and the waitress came back a few minutes later. I'd say service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. This is what we ordered: * Organic beet salad with ranch dressing, $13 - delicious and refreshing salad with romaine, sliced beets, avocado chunks, grape tomatoes, nuts, sliced red onions, and feta cheese. I chose ranch and thought it paired well with the salad. * Fish and chips, $16.95 - 5 crispy battered cod (tasted like cod to me) pieces with plenty of French fries and a side of tartar sauce and lemon wedges. My mom liked how the batter was thin and crispy. The fish pieces were a little smaller than my hands. * Very berry waffle, $15.95 - soft waffle with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries dusted with powdered sugar and came with syrup on the side. The berries were sweet and the waffle was very tasty with syrup on top. * Sweet potato fries, $5.95 - crispy outside and soft inside. I love sweet potato fries and theirs were delicious. I ate it with ketchup, ranch, hot sauce, and tartar sauce. The portions were pretty big so my mom and I split everything. We ended up taking some fries home. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I found a hair in one of the containers of ranch that came with the salad, I thought the fries tasted a bit stale and dry when they were cold, and I wish the waffle came with butter and wish it was a little more crispy. Very spacious and cozy American brunch diner located in Concord right near Costco. They offer various breakfast dishes served all day as well as a lunch menu. I was craving a croissant breakfast sandwich so I got the egg melt sandwich. This comes with a side of your choice - hashbrowns or fruit. I got a bowl of fruit - which was a pretty good size and the fruit tasted pretty fresh! The sandwich itself was a decent size as well with it leaving me pretty full. I highly suspect they use Costco croissants but I could be wrong lol. I wished the eggs were a little less dry but overall it was a good sandwich. We got our food within a reasonable time and they did refill my coffee cup free of charge. Overall, a nice location to grab a classic average American diner meal. read more

Been here a couple of times, and this place hits the spot! After a Costco run, my stomach was making noises that could probably get me a record deal. Couldn't risk being hangry, so we stopped in for breakfast. The staff is super friendly and welcoming definitely a family run business, and I'm all for supporting local spots like this : ) Tried the chicken & waffles, and both were on point. The waffle was golden and crispy, and the chicken? Juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. Sausage patty was solid, and the bacon was crispy, just how it should be. Next visit, I went for the chicken fried steak with hash browns, eggs, and rye toast. The steak was crispy, flavorful, and smothered in tasty gravy no complaints there! Wifey had the "mini" breakfast, but trust me, it wasn't mini lol. Plenty of food, including crispy bacon and perfect eggs. Open for breakfast and lunch, with prices that won't break the bank (but won't make you rich either lol). Definitely coming back to try more. I've been coming here for years when I have to wait for something in the area in the morning. They're always clean, friendly, and it's just a lighthearted atmosphere. I haven't been in awhile and got a Korean style burrito with bulgogo and rice, but had eggs. For $19ish I could only eat half, but it was really good. They have always been consistent throughout the years, and possibly have gotten friendlier and tastier food. Looking for a quick bite this morning and stumbled upon this cafe after visiting Costco ( right around the corner ) don't blink or you will miss it . Upon entering your greeted to have an open seat or grab a stool up at the counter . 1st time and I was by myself so I choose the counter . Menu has breakfast as well as lunch items available. My tummy was calling for that chicken fried steak and eggs . Lots of items offered but that's what I was craving this morning . Breakfast served with your choice of house potatoes or hash browns . English muffin instead of toast Chicken steak 8/10 fried perfect Eggs over easy and on point Country fried potatoes crispy was great . Enjoyed the hospitality and that it was family owned . My first time here. I read reviews about it. A little hard to get to even if you're in Concord. The streets here are weird. But you can find it, it's a quaint little place. I have been looking for the chicken fried steak the best chicken fried steak in the area and decided to try it here. I was fairly impressed. The gravy is probably the best grade I've had so far out of all the places I've tried and I like gravy and biscuits. The chicken fried steak itself was typical but it was pretty good here the way they prepared it. I definitely go back for it. The staff was nice and attentive made sure I had coffee which I appreciate. The potatoes were a little bit awkward compared to other places of the country potatoes. They were good however I wish I would have had some more onions this place uses green onions which is kind of unique I like green onions The breakfast itself was all right, and the toast was nice. The restaurant was quiet and pretty empty when we stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. The service was great and efficient, the man who took our order and then served us throughout our meal was very nice. There was another Korean lady who helped us with our leftovers and she was super sweet and nice as well. The food was wonderful! I ordered the Good Friends pancakes, eggs, and sausages combination and for the amount of food I received, I felt like it was definitely worth the price. My husband ordered 2 blueberry pancakes, country potatoes, and some sliced avocado. The blueberry pancakes and country potatoes were delicious and worth the price too. The avocado was an add-on so it was pricier, at $3.95 for half an avocado sliced. It was really fresh though, so we didn't mind and enjoyed it. Would definitely come back again to try some of the other things that they have on their menu! From the outside - it looks a small , but as you enter into a spacious and well lit restaurant with a very comfy and welcoming ambiance. We drive one hour from Sunnyvale to eat breakfast here. Food is SO FRESH!! My husband always orders the Garden omelet. He's a big eater and is constantly amazed at how big the omelets are. I ordered the fresh crab benedict today along with freshly squeezed orange juice. It was the best crab benedict I've ever had in my life (and I'm as old as dirt). We love the location. GN Cafe is always dependable for a satisfying, freshly-prepared meal. We stopped in for lunch a couple of times over the past month and tried items we haven't had before. Their clam chowder is thick, creamy and full of clams and potatoes -- very impressive for a casual cafe. The grilled cheese sandwich filled my craving for a simple, nostalgic lunch. I have visited this cafe on weekday mornings, so it was not as busy compared to the weekend brunch rush. Upon walking in, my friend and I were greeted by a friendly server. On my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak plate. For my sides, I chose scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and sourdough toast. The Chicken Fried Steak had crispy breading and I loved how the country gravy contained bits of bacon. Also, I appreciate how they are generous with the amount of gravy! The country potatoes were very good and fluffy on the inside. My friend thought the Hot Link plate was okay, yet filling. On my last visit, I decided to order the Chicken Fried Steak for the second time since I previously enjoyed the dish. It was good, however, I noticed there were less potatoes this time and they were on the soggy side. Meanwhile, my friend enjoyed the Original Benedict which consists of Canadian bacon and mentioned how the hash browns were delicious. Despite the different quality of the potatoes, I was satisfied with everything else on my plate. Been meaning to visit this place for a while and we finally made it. Down Detroit Ave from Costco, there's plenty of parking with both inside dining and outside covered dining space. We were greeted and seated immediately on Saturday at 10am. Service was fast and friendly throughout. We were able to order off the breakfast and lunch menus. The food was pretty good with interesting twists. The waffles were crispy and huge. Not buttermilk waffles, but still good. And the fresh berries on the Very Berry Waffle was plentiful and fresh. The eggs and sausage was filling and good. The English muffin was nicely toasted with a generous helping of butter. We were a bit mixed on our feelings for the croissant sandwich. While I liked the cucumber and tomato on the sandwich because it balanced out the richness of the croissant with some crunch and freshness, our teens thought the flavor combo was 'weird', so we just agreed to disagree. However we all agreed the side of fries needed salt, so we added some. The flavor combination of the Gangnam scramble was good. The spinach prevented the short rib from overwheming the dish. However, I did find the short rib to be a bit fatty and and chewy for my taste. The hashbrowns were excellent, well seasoned and crunchy. This is our go to diner. It's a bit of a drive for us but the staff is great and so is the food. It's owned by a Korean family and is a real Mom and Pop diner. The diner can get crowded on Sundays but isn't too bad. There's counter and outside seating. The restrooms are located outside. The staff is pretty good at remembering what you get if you become a regular. Our drinks usually hit the table as soon as we arrive. I love that I can get a burger for breakfast or a breakfast for lunch. Oh and their side salads are pretty big too. read more
