Here's the Counter area... Everything is very very clean here for a small cafe!
Mike O.

Came across this neighborhood cafe for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable for the good qty. Much better than Nations but similar prices. The service was quick. The food was really great! I would definitely recommend this quaint neighborhood cafe!

My husband and I shared the biscuit sandwich for breakfast along with the Belgian strawberry waffle. Everything tasted fresh and was very reasonably priced. The food wasn't greasy or overly salty at all, which we really appreciated. Simple, satisfying, and well done.

First, I would like to say that the service here is amazing! They are so friendly. We ordered from the breakfast menu. The omelettes are delicious. The waffles are so big and fluffy. Definitely stop by and give it a try last but not least we had the mocha's so good.. you gotta stop by and give him a try.

Greek Salad with Grilled chicken (addition)

We have visited Bay Leaf Cafe a few years ago and wasn't impressed, but decided to try again. We were delighted by the quality of food. I ordered a Shrimp and Avocado Salad . The Thousand Island Dressing was served on the side in a small container. It was enough dressing. The amount of shrimp was great! They were not skimpy. The avocado slices were just the right amount. Overall, this was a delicious salad. Greek Salad. The person who ordered this thought the flavor was nice, but wished they used Kalamata olives instead of black olives. Her comment was , "it would make this more a Greek Salad in flavor." The chicken was added and actually made the salad more substantial. The amount of dressing was overwhelming. She would have like the dressing on the side so she could add it herself. Overall, she enjoyed the salad, but probably would not order it again. Belgium Waffle with two eggs and two bacon. The person who ordered this said it was a very decent combination and he would definitely order it again. Overall we will be back to try more of the items on the Bay Leaf menu.

This place was recommended to me by a friend with their weekly specials. We were coming from an appointment and decided to stop by. I got the pancake special while the boyfriend got the 2 egg special. The plates/portions were small, but the prices were under $15. I also got a hot chocolate which was a nice addition to my meal. It's a great place if you want something on a budget. Our whole meal was under $30! The pancake special was filling, but the 2 egg dish didn't seem to be. It's a great option to have in your back pocket.

Average breakfast spot that has outdoor and indoor seating. Inside is very cute. Met with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. Ordered a vegetarian sandwich since it sounded very fresh with a side of fries. Overall the sandwich was ok, no real flavor which was a shame considering all of the fresh ingredients. The fries were probably the best part. Overall the size of the meal was very good for the price, but the lack of flavor will not bring me back again.

The BEST chicken fried steak I've EVER had... Not exaggerating!!! Woofed this entire plate in about 3 minutes, 49 seconds flat! Yummmm!!!

(based on one visit) Nice service, clean interior, rich coffee, clean bathroom... Fair prices. Oh, and the food, the food, specifically the chicken fried steak, was AWESOME! Steak breading was actually crispy underneath the gravy (Not at all soggy like everywhere else), the gravy itself was very flavorful, the eggs were standard as were the hasbrowns.... Together, it was exactly what the doctor ordered! Thank you!!!

Biscuits and gravy weekday special

This cafe is the exact thing that I was looking for this morning. I wanted to be surrounded by flowers, with a yummy breakfast, and a hot chocolate in hand. The $8.99 weekday specials are a steal! It's a good amount of food for a great price! I ordered the biscuits and gravy with home style potatoes. It was delicious! Next I'll definitely try the pancakes and one of the omelettes! The omelette list was extensive!! I was greeted and seated immediately and I ordered based on the waitress's recommendation. She did not disappoint! I'm not sure what the inside of the place looks like, but I loved the outdoor seating! Beautiful flowers, sunlight, and great food are the perfect combination!

Triple cheese omelette
Rachel P.

I haven't been here in years and wanted to try it yesterday. I love how cute the outdoor seating area is and how modern and cozy the inside is! I'm so happy to see that neighborhood gem is still around. We ordered the triple cheese omelette and the linguisa omelette. They were both so good. The staff was so friendly and accommodating too! We will definitely be back.

I would like to know if the owners would consider switching over to creamer served in small metal pitchers instead of the plastic containers of half & half? Owners would save $$ and it's less wasteful.

The first time I came I ordered the lobster garlic noodles and they were really tasty, lots of lobster and even had leftovers for lunch. My kids both liked their food- one ordered the pizza kids meal and the other the sliders. There was a few mishaps on the first visit, some of the people in our group waited a while to get their food and we ask for condiments twice before we got them, but hey it was busy and we were a large group. On my second visit I order the fish and chips and they were good, fish was crispy and again, the serving was huge! My kids ordered the same thing on our second visit and they had no complaints. Both times we were seated fast. It is a sports bar and it does get busy and loud so if that's something you don't like, maybe skip it or request to sit outside! I would come here again!

Our favorite appetizers are the poke nachos, spinach dip, and the jumbo pretzel (the pretzel is my personal favorite--so good!). For lighter options, the tomato bisque and house salad are always solid choices. For entrées, we've tried quite a bit and have several favorites: the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich, salmon plates, fish tacos, cilantro lime chicken, and especially the whiskey glazed salmon and Mediterranean salmon--those are absolute favorites for me. I also really love the Mediterranean veggie burger. My husband is more of a meat eater and used to love their Beyond Burger, which they've since changed to a veggie version--he says it's not quite as good as before, but still decent. The classic burger is also very good. And the lobster garlic noodles? Amazing. For dessert, the cheesecake brûlée is a must-try. And I can't forget the drinks--they are some of the best! I love the Coco Passion, Midnight Sangria, Sunset Sangria, and the Dragon Fruit Cosmo. Everything is always so flavorful and well-made. Beyond the food, the service has consistently been great every single time we've gone. Overall, this place is a 5-star experience for us--great food, great drinks, and great service every time. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, it was obvious that a lot of care and creativity goes into the menu. Whether you're there for a full meal or just a quick bite, there's something that will impress. What truly stood out, though, was the service(Nathan, Franchesca, and Sharin). The staff were attentive without being overbearing, friendly without feeling forced, and genuinely committed to making sure every guest had a great experience. It's rare to find a team that works so seamlessly together while maintaining such a welcoming attitude. I will be coming back here many more times!

As we were waiting for them to open, we were informed by the Culinary Arts program director that walk-ins were no longer being accepted. This was certainly news to me. Fortunately, he was kind enough to accommodate us and we were able to get a table on the spot. We were seated by a student staffer at a table next to the windows. The interior appeared to have gone through some renovations since the last time I was here. We were told that their four-course prix fixe menu is now ingredient-themed instead of region-themed like the old days. For my "Citrus" theme lunch, I had following: 1st Course - Grilled Moroccan Lemon Quail with Pine Nuts 2nd Course - Tom Yum Soup 3rd Course - Cuban Mojo Duck with Mofongo Dessert - Maltese Blood Orange Tart Everything was very good. The quail and duck were perfectly cooked. The tom yum soup had a really nice balance. It was spicy, tangy, and savory. The orange tart, served with vanilla ice cream, was the perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent. The students were polite and attentive. The price per person was $30 (no T/T since they are technically not a real restaurant).
