Yesterday, the crew from Bob's Burgers decided to check out the local competition. We headed over to The Red Onion in Concord. We were welcomed by our fellow burger flippers. The burgers were delicious, and the service was terrific! The onion rings were so good, too! Seven of us really enjoyed our burgers; we were chowing down within ten minutes of ordering. This is an old-school diner with a great vibe. I'm adding this spot to my regular rotation. Let's show this hamburger joint some love! They made great burgers and took wonderful care of this crazy crew! Cheeseburger fries and onion rings

Was in concord and looked up burger spots near me and this place came up. Looked homey diner style and thought to give it a try. Super clean and nice people seems family owned . Order ready less than 15 minutes . Daughter and wife loved it . Good portion would come back

Another well deserved 5 star review update for one of my absolute favorite Bay Area burger spots! I love this place with all of my damn heart. The Red Onion is my favorite burger spot in CoCo county, period! I can talk all damn day about how delicious their burgers are, but another big reason why I've consistently come here for years is because of the excellent service. Silvia and her family are some of the kindest and most hardworking people in the game. I have so much respect for them and their business. I stopped by to pick up dinner this past week, and I was pleasantly surprised to see Silvia (the owner) working there that night. She usually works at the El Cerrito location now, so it was nice to see and chat with her. Her daughter was there too and she's always been super pleasant. They always remember me even if it's been months since I've come in. There have been times when I've come in on my cheat days when I'm dieting, and we always talk about our weight loss journeys and dieting. I feel like this family is an old friend at this point. It makes me so happy to see them when I come in. What more can I say about their burgers that I haven't already said time and time again? They're just friggin' scrumptious. Huge, meaty, juicy, and fresh. And every single damn time too. This is one of the only spots that I'd prefer over an In N Out burger. And if you're a diehard In N Out fan like myself, then you know that's really saying a lot. The consistency is just bananas. They've got it down to a science. Burgers and fries are just too damn good here. Always grateful to have this wonderful burger spot around, and I'm so glad that they didn't fall victim to COVID. And, now I've just worked myself up a craving for one of their burgers. Guess I better get up and order me one! Mmmmm :).

Can't really see but hours at 10am to 5pm 7 days a week.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Only reason this doesn't get a 5 star is because the business hours are inaccurate and not updated. Other than that the food is amazing! Essentially the place is a high quality food version of nations. Juicy burgers, big in size and amazing French fries. Very old school feel but it's comforting. Reasonably priced and overall a great place to eat.. Please fix your hours!!! *picture for reference*

I grew up on Red Onion Burgers and ate at the original one in Pinole. I moved and saw one in El Cerrito that was closer to home and went there several. Recently, I found this Red Onion in Concord. I swung by for lunch and got a cheeseburger and an order of fries. My buddy went for a cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger comes on a nice fresh, soft and chewy bun with a fresh not frozen hamburger patty, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, American cheese, miracle whip and mustard. It is a very fresh and tasty burger. I think they put less produce and the patty is a bit smaller than the Red a Onion in El Cerrito or Pinole but still a very good burger. The fries were hot, fresh and crunchy. Sadly the onion rings seem to have a heavier older oil taste but crunchy. Red Onion is on my go to burger list, it looks OG but it is very clean, comfortable setting and the people are very nice. If you are in Concord, stop by for a fresh tasty burger and nicely cooked fries. I'll be going again.

    """salmon""" patty
    nihil s.

Thoroughly mediocre. The salmon burger we ordered arrived with a patty that seemed to contain some kind of fish but was certainly not pink (as salmon is) and had mysterious other stuff in it. Cheese on the burger was disgusting, shake was bad and didn't match our order (ordered chocolate malt, got a plain vanilla shake), fries were pretty good though. Attached picture of the ostensible salmon patty, which doesn't look or taste like salmon.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, it was obvious that a lot of care and creativity goes into the menu. Whether you're there for a full meal or just a quick bite, there's something that will impress. What truly stood out, though, was the service(Nathan, Franchesca, and Sharin). The staff were attentive without being overbearing, friendly without feeling forced, and genuinely committed to making sure every guest had a great experience. It's rare to find a team that works so seamlessly together while maintaining such a welcoming attitude. I will be coming back here many more times!

The staff has consistently been friendly, accommodating, and quick with service. I also enjoy their whiskey club, but even if you don't join it, they have every bottle available for purchase or drinks at the bar. And some of those bottles were highly rated and very hard to find. Their burgers are tasty and juicy and they bring new versions out that are usually pretty imaginative. Overall, we really like Eureka for its atmosphere, burgers, whiskey, and beer. The missed ones are usually due to slower service but still okay versus other restaurants I had been to. Yesterday we were here again and the service was fantastic! Our server, Anthony, was very personable. He is obviously genuinely nice because he showed the same kind of energy across the tables he attended to. We asked him about specific details of the menu and he obviously knew the menu by heart. We ordered the chicken nachos, among others, and we enjoyed it better this time because we were able to "customize" it to our liking because he was able to enumerate to us the ingredients so we were able to exclude those we didn't like. The temperature inside was very refreshing coming from the high heat outside.

The first time I came I ordered the lobster garlic noodles and they were really tasty, lots of lobster and even had leftovers for lunch. My kids both liked their food- one ordered the pizza kids meal and the other the sliders. There was a few mishaps on the first visit, some of the people in our group waited a while to get their food and we ask for condiments twice before we got them, but hey it was busy and we were a large group. On my second visit I order the fish and chips and they were good, fish was crispy and again, the serving was huge! My kids ordered the same thing on our second visit and they had no complaints. Both times we were seated fast. It is a sports bar and it does get busy and loud so if that's something you don't like, maybe skip it or request to sit outside! I would come here again!

We parked in the Broadway Plaza parking lot, which is a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant was packed and we were seated in the outside patio. I'm glad we were seated here as it was mellower than the louder and busier inside. After ordering our drinks, we checked out the menu and decided to share two starters: Calamari with house made tartar and cocktail sauce - it was good. Lightly battered and crispy. Zucchini Fries - a heaping portion of fries topped with parmigiano Reggiano and a house made lemon basil aioli for dipping. Never had these types of fries. Cut shoestring style and they were light and delicious. The served a complementary bread basket with butter. It consisted of sourdough slices, Focaccia squares and a bread crisp slice. House French bread - love warm bread and butter. So good that we asked for refills. I had the Joe's House made Ravioli - a generous portion of beef and spinach filled raviolis in a meat sauce topped with Parmesan Reggiano. I just wished the raviolis had a thicker filling. Other entrees ordered by our group were spaghetti and meatballs, House made beef lasagna and bone-in veal Milanese. Everyone was happy with their orders. When we left, the restaurant was still crowded and there was a waiting line. Service was friendly, accommodating and efficient. This is not your typical family style Italian restaurant, but it's more upscale and good for special occasions and get-togethers.

We have tried to come here before but it was super packed no parking and it was night time . This was months ago . This morning my man surprised me by bringing me here again for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch . We got there right when opening and the inside was already full ( people made reservations for Mother's Day but they had outdoor seating which is covered from the sun and has heaters ) They had a special menu for Mother's Day today so a lot of what you might see on the regular menu may have not been on today's menu . Our waiter let alone the rest of the staff were very nice and polite and kept wishing happy Mother's Day to everyone . It was very nice . Now food ! Ofcourse you know I got oysters . They had 5 different kinds to choose from but I got the dozen with all of them ! All fresh ! Some were more sweet some more Briney some more creamy . All of them were good and the shallot vinaigrette was the cherry on top ! He got the tortilla soup and we shared the cheesy crabby bread . He dipped it in the soup ( boys lol ) and sad it was good . My personal opinion I love the bread they used ! And nice flavor with out taking away from the nice amount of crab they put on it ! The steak Cobb salad was a very nice portion and the steak was cooked medium rare just how I like it . I was expecting it to be cut up pieces but no they gave you a whole filet which is nice if you want something light and filling I'd definitely recommend this salad . The clams were amazing ! The sauce was so savory just added a dash of lemon and I was in heaven . Plus the cheesy toasted bread they give you to slurp all that excellence lol top tier . Crab omelette was made with egg whites only no yolk , and had ample amount of LUMP crab meat no skimpy at all ! Potatoes were seasoned nice . And the waffles ( which comes by itself heads up that's why we ordered sausage and bacon as a side 8$ each kinda pricey. But we're very thick and good ) the waffles comes with a berry butter spread fresh fruit . Fluffy but still crisp. The limoncello mimosa flavor wise loved the limon but lacked the mosa part . Overall I'd highly recommend and want to come back to try more options . It was nice seeing all the happy families and the cutesy babies all around . Today was a beautiful day thankyou Wences !
