This was my first time in Lafayette and I'm glad I stumbled across this place! Although it's known as an ice cream shop I came for the matcha and was pleasantly surprised! We got the earl grey matcha, mint matcha, and banana bread matcha. I loved how the workers hand whisk the matcha and it's not watered down at all, the mint matcha was fresh and still had a good sweetness to it, same with the earl grey. The banana bread was also delicious! The only thing I would say was that I tasted more hints of cinnamon rather than banana but it was still good overall. I loved the pink decor inside as well and they have a few seats inside and outside. Overall wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area!
The ladies at the front are always so sweet, and I really like their banana bread matcha with oat milk! It is a beautiful green color, not too milky and not too overpowering of a banana flavor. Will try the other flavors soon :) I come here during my lunch for work, and this is the only place I'll get a matcha!
Lafayette finally has its own ice cream shop! It's super cute and I've taken my daughter a few times already. You can also take pints to go and they recently started serving matcha, too (haven't tried yet). Metered parking is plentiful in the parking lot right in front. My only request is for them to add basic flavors like chocolate and strawberry, which were not available on our last visit.
The "Scoop" on this ice cream shop is that they change their flavors every week! I came here on Sat 4/42026 with a friend; I had a kid's scoop of the cinnamon churro ice cream and she had an earl grey matcha. The cinnamon churro flavor was evident! Also, the ice cream was hard to get out of the carton but the employee scooping it had the patience of a saint and still managed to get me a generous serving for a kid's cone. Watching the matcha whisked by hand was cool. Can't wait to see what flavors they have next!

New ice cream spot in town! YAY!! Clean interior and super welcoming staff. It doesn't seem the ice cream is made in house as the flavors have labels that include where the ice cream is from, such as Mitchell's, Double Rainbow, etc. Kind of like a curation of various unique flavors depending on the week/day/etc. Anyways, my daughter has gone here several times and have enjoyed the flavors. She's tried Ube, mango, and mint chip. The Ube isn't too sweet and has nice subtle flavors with some bits in there. She thought the mango was good, but didn't say much about it, and mentioned the mint chip tasted like fresh mint. I was amazed by the various flavors when I tried- churro, Mexican chocolate, unity, and more. I asked what some of them were as the name isn't clear to describe the flavor, and they were super knowledgeable. I got a single with Ube and the coconut. Both were excellent. Couldn't believe the coconut one was vegan. So good!! It is a bit pricey as it's $7 base for a single size, but would def come again to try more flavors and check out more of their offerings.

They rotate through flavors and have everything from double rainbow to curbside creamery. Soon they'll bring in Marianne's which is exciting. They have vegan, gluten free, and regular dairy ice cream. Basically everyone can find something they like here. The flavors they choose are top notch. There isn't anything I've tried that wasn't tasty. All kinds of interesting flavors too, so it's not just the basics. We will definitely keep coming back. The place is super clean and the service is great. It'll be good if they add some stools along the little wall counter top they have. Super easy parking.
I went here after a jaunt at a nearby park. It had just opened as of today and was expecting a huge line. We went on a super beautiful day and we had no line to wait in. They had a couple of flavors to choose from and the Scoop gals were super friendly and helpful. They are different ways to get your scoops as cups or cones. The ice cream was good but the prices were a little steep for 2 separate scoops. They had different flavors I would like to try and maybe get some toppings like chocolate sprinkles.
Generous scoops! Enthusiastic staff! A nice variety of flavors with lots of vegan and gluten free options for those who need or want them! A bit on the pricey side. But very excited to welcome a new ice cream shop to town. We tried mango, peanut butter + jelly and mint chip. They were all a nice treat.

Service was quick and the employees were nice. I went for ice cream and it was great! I liked the assortment of flavors and as someone with a nut allergy I REALLY appreciate that they made labels for every ice cream with allergens and had a sign to ask them about allergens if you have allergies. Very helpful and appreciated! I got a double scoop of the raspberry sorbet and it was a perfect sweet and tart cold treat for the summer. The waffle cone was good too. read more

This was a cute matcha and ice cream shop in Lafayette. My friends and I came to Lafayette for brunch and wanted to try the matcha because we saw a post on Tik-Tok about the matcha and we wanted to try. The 4 matcha flavors were all made with natural flavoring and sweeteners all made in house. When we came in, we were welcomed in and received a great introduction and explanation about the matcha flavors available and the worker who helped us provided us with her recommendations for flavors. The service was fast and the matchas were very flavorful. Would definitely recommend the banana bread and earl grey flavors! My friends will definitely be back when we need a matcha fix! read more

I am thrilled to see that we now have a real matcha spot open up in Lamorinda. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were thoughtful and attentive in their hand whisking of my matcha but also efficient and I was in and out in no time. Lafayette Scoop is officially my new go-to ice cream spot! This family-owned gem just opened in Lafayette and it's already a local favorite. They feature a rotating selection of flavors from some of the Bay Area's best creameries -- including Curbside Creamery, SF Hometown Creamery, Jack & Remi, Mitchell's, and more. The shop is super clean, welcoming, and has that classic neighborhood vibe. Summer hours are 10 AM to 10 PM, so it's perfect for a mid-day treat or a late-night dessert run. Saw this place on tik tok with good quality green matcha and fun flavors like mint and earl grey and immediately had to come by the next morning. I got the mint matcha and it is so good it tastes like actually fresh mint and the matcha is good and strong! Staff was incredibly friendly, even telling me stories about their life travels! Can't recommend enough! Hard to find good matcha around here. Will be coming back. read more

Incredible ice cream. I came a couple of weeks ago and got the Blackberry Cookies & Cream flavor, and it was so good! I have also had their New York Cheesecake which is also amazing. Flavors rotate out so there is always something new to try (I hope the Blackberry Cookies & Cream makes a return soon).
