About 6 bar stools type of seating 1 4-top 2 2-tops They have 2 kiosks to order their drink. I like that they did not do extra charge for Oat milk substitute. Bathroom is clean too. Pretty mediocre boba, as someone who previously managed a boba store for several years. Boba is clearly not cooked well enough (too hard, clearly shipped in from overseas), the quality of the jams are average/below-average. For $8, I would expect comparable quality to Berkeley boba. Honestly, a trip over to Berkeley would get you much much better boba since they'd know how to make it. Got 50% sweet and 80% ice on a fruit tea, was overwhelmed with the sugar level, and I'm used to high sugar! The girls making the boba didn't know what they were doing since the drink spilled all over me when I picked it up (they didn't check the top seal before sending it out). Very good flavor. Sweetness levels are normal and not overly sweet, so 80-100% sweetness is pleasant and good for people who don't want too much sugar. Anything less will still be good but likely noticeably weak. Mango Paradise Tea had a nice pronounced mango flavor and I especially liked the mango jam/pieces that were in it. Really enjoying this new boba shop in town. Love that there's no extra charge for oat milk--a big plus if you're lactose intolerant. They're currently running a buy a drink, get a super cute bun deal, which was a hit with my kids. They're already asking to go back tomorrow! Service is excellent also. Delicious boba, and such a cute spot!! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see all of the cute Christmas decorations in the store and the other art. They have a big boba statue outside. The shop is located in downtown Walnut Creek near lots of shops and restaurants. I've tried out a few boba places in this area and this one is my new favorite. As I waiting for my drinks I took a look at their menu and they have very unique seasonal items that I want to go back to try. The worker was also super nice! My daughter loved seeing the huge Boba Studio art figure outside (which rolls around, so be careful) - this caught our eye and we strolled on in. Easy ordering using the two touchscreens. Super cute "bao babies" that takes about 10 minutes to steam. There's about 18 seats inside. Cute decor. Love that they use fresh fruit instead of fruit puree like most boba cafes. Husband and I liked our brown sugar boba tea (boba tasted fresh!), and son loved his mango smoothie. I ordered: ROASTED ROYAL OOLONG TEA LIGHT SWEETNESS LIGHT ICE with honey boba and coffee jelly - interesting that they (from my experience) are the only establishment that provides differing boba selections of honey boba and brown sugar boba.. you can definitely taste the honey... QQ + chewy = well cooked - regrets of picking coffee jelly... too generic and waaaayyyy too much of it in the drink... very crunchy and not very refreshing. I only picked this because I really really really wanted grass jelly. - thorough oolong taste with no bitter after taste --I love love love that they allow you to pick the "milk base" at no extra charge!!! They have 3 options: ORGANIC whole milk, oat milk, soy milk. - utilizes organic teas - took them 10 minutes to make the drink (parking meter started as 18 minutes and when I went back it was 8 minutes) All of the food menu was out of stock. Just want to give an update to my previous 5-star review. We have been weekly regulars ever since they opened, and while service remains great, I will say that we have noticed that boba and tea quality has declined a bit. The last few times we've gotten boba, it has tasted like mushy, day-old boba and tea flavor isn't as strong. Maybe it's rising prices or changes in practices, but I do hope to see a dedication to quality again. I had been here a few times and it is always consistent. You can order via Kiosk or pay cash through the cashier. I almost always get the Tiger Sugar or the Coffee Creme Bruelle Boba. You can have the option of Oatmilk as the dairy and they torch the sugar topping in front of you. It's never too long of a wait and they also have some food options. This place's hojicha is really yummy. I got soy milk with my drink for no extra charge which is so rare in this economy. In my head this was just a regular green milk tea but you can taste the earthiness of the hojicha! The brown sugar boba oddly enough compliments the drink pretty well. I got Half Sugar and I think if you're gonna get boba it's worth skimping on the sweetness. And when I asked for less ice they did indeed give me an okay amount of ice which is so classy of them. There are restrooms in the back too. They also have WiFi. The place is relatively quiet compared to other boba shops where the music is blasting so loud you feel like it's on purpose to get you to leave but no. Boba Studio is classy. This is a solid spot to get some boba in downtown Walnut Creek. They have a kiosk to order from in front of the counter, and it doesn't take too long to receive your drinks after you've placed an order. All the order is automated at the kiosk, so it's pretty straight forward when you go in. Though if you want to take a look at the menu just go to the counter as it's all there. Pricing wise, it's certainly reasonable considering that most boba places not in the downtown area now costs about this much, so can't complain. So let's get to the boba. I felt the drink was alright. The milk tea I got tasted roughly the same as other spots, though, I still feel this tastes better than Mr.Green's milk tea, so there's that going for it. I feel the boba here was alright too. The texture was good, so no issues with that as it had just the right amount of qqness to it I would like, but the downside is that the boba I had on this day tasted like nothing unfortunately. Boba Studio is another boba offering here in WC downtown, where there's literally other boba spots in every other direction around here. Boba Studio is definitely a very chic and aesthetic boba shop. The decor is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. They also advertise that their ingredients are organic, which I really appreciate. That being said, the price-to-quantity ratio is way off. I paid close to $9 for a small Cloud Thai Tea, where the "cloud" was essentially just whipped cream. While the drink itself was fine, I don't think the value matches the price point. For the same amount in Walnut Creek, you could get a full meal at Chipotle or a sandwich spot. The service was okay, but nothing particularly outstanding. Overall, I'd say this place is great if you're looking for an Instagram-worthy drink in a pretty space, but if you're looking for value, $9 for a small boba just doesn't make sense. read more

I usually never get hot milk tea, and I missing out, seriously. The flavors in milk tea are so much more potent and delicious when hot. Tasted like a well made Okinawa milk tea. I've been to Boba Studio twice now - once with a friend and today on my own. When my friend and I went in March, I got the ube taro milk bar and she got the mango matcha latte. I could definitely taste the ube and taro at 50% sweet. Today I got the Thai milk tea at 30% sweet. Despite shaking it as the barista recommended, I didn't love the taste. However, I noticed on the menu that 100% sweetness is recommended for many drinks. Though I've been able to reduce the sweetness at from 50% to 25-30% at other boba's spot, I think I'll stick with 50% at Boba Studio going forward. We ordered and got our drinks within 1-2 minutes. The milk teas are fine but nothing stood out too much for me. There are a lot of items on the menu but the prices make it hard for me to want to try more drinks. Had a boba craving, so I decided to give this place a try. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was how clean and adorable it was. It's in a safe and walkable area as well, and it was easy to find. I ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte, and I was disappointed a bit. First of all, it was more expensive than other boba places I've been to in the Bay Area. Second, you could tell they use lower grade matcha, as it was really chalky. i got the creme brûlée brown sugar boba and i enjoyed it. i was rather confused with the menu because there's one item listed as "caffeine free" and then the rest supposedly have caffeine but it's nothing but milk? when i clicked through the item on the self-ordering kiosk, i saw you can add* black tea and there's no up charge. but i'm confused how this is a caffeine drink if the black tea is optional & not automatically included? either way, yes, if you're also confused, just add the black tea to it and you won't be wasting $6-7 on milk and tapioca pearls. my boyfriend got the green tea strawberry drink and it was rather bland and not very sweet. i was expecting something different and neither of us enjoyed this one. it also didn't come with boba and it was a 0.75 up charge. read more

Our students had lots of questions and they had lots of answers for them. Our experience was fabulous! The crew was so patient and our experience was top notch. Conveniently located next to Dumpling Hours, Boba Studio is the latest bubble tea shop to hit downtown Walnut Creek. My friends and I came here after having dinner nearby on 05/15/2023. We walked in 20 minutes before closing and were greeted immediately by the owner, a very polite and friendly lady. The interior was cozy and impeccably clean. There were a couple attractive backdrops for those who like to take "Instagramable" photos. One of my friends had some questions about their offerings and the owner was very patient in answering them. She even provided some free pearl samples to her. I thought that was very nice of her to do that. We ended up ordering a couple drinks - a Brown Sugar Boba Black Tea Latte and a Mango Milk Bar. Both were beautiful and delicious. Prices were on point with other shops in the area. The owner was also very nice for allowing us to hang out after closing time. I've actually been here a few times already, but each time their quality has been better and better. We were here on a Saturday evening and experienced very little wait. Our drinks were out within 5 mins :-) MANGO WITH YOGURT CREAM FOAM (30% sugar w/boba): I was hoping for mango chunks and a tea! This is more of a mango smoothie with a tart cream on top. Kind of hard to drink the cream with the thick smoothie (it's THICCCCCC) so I ended up just mixing everything together. The yogurt cream isn't my favorite. That being said, their boba is cooked and sweetened well, perfectly chewy and ladled generously. Staff are friendly and courteous.
