    Black garlic ramen
    Monish S.

Nice location with friendly service...the black garlic ramen was good, but a little one note. I wish they had added more broth and less noodles. Also missing was a few slices of pork or meat, especially for a $19 bowl. Parking was easy!

We got in and was seating right away! We were expecting them to be pretty busy around 630pm We ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra meat and boiled egg and it every was really delicious well most likely order it again. We also got the tempura purple sweet potatoes which was surprisingly delicious. The potatoes were soft and the tempura added a nice crunchy texture. The mayo also went well with it!

Food: Everything tasted good. The beef bowl is definitely better than a lot of places I had. Ramen was good also. Ingredients seem good quality. Presentation was also great. Service: Came in on a Sunday at lunch. Walked in and were greeted and sat down immediately. Took our order in good amount of time and server was polite. Appetizers and food came out fast also. Only downside is everything is too expensive. Ambiance: The place can sit a total of 30 people max. Small tables. Great asian/japanese decor. Recommend for a lunch date.

Happy to report that this place is still open! My bad for mistaking it for another restaurant that closed. Anyway, excellent service & excellent food. Especially their black garlic ramen!

Super disappointing!!! I got off work and was so hungry so I came here for dinner. I ordered their wings and tonkatsu ramen. The wings came out with black frizzy hair on it. When I told the lady, she took it back but didn't even apologize or anything. The ramen was disappointing too. All these good reviews are lies. The pork isn't even marinated correctly and to each their own but the thin noodle changes the taste and texture in a bad way. After paying, they didn't even thank me or say bye like normal people who works in a restaurant. $20 for a tiny bowl and they can't even act right. Super disappointing and wasted my money on this crappy place.

It's broth, noodles and toppings but everything is just off. Small restaurant with metered parking in downtown pleasant hill. Maybe five or six tables and some bar seating but we were able to be seated right away on a weekend mid-day. 50$ for something that you could likely make yourself at home. It hardly tasted like any ramen I've had. Egg was wrong. Broth was wrong. Noodles were off. Meat was too. Not for me.

We passed by after the movies hungry and looking for a place to eat! Everyone greeted us and was kind. The place was clean and the food came out quickly! The food tasted so good all the flavors it was cooked perfectly! I would come back!

I'm so sad to give this low rating, but it is reflective of the food. This is a tiny restaurant that seems to be family owned. My partner and I came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The gentleman taking orders was a little slow to attend to guests, but he was doing the best he could. Onto the worst part. The food. The seaweed salad wasn't bad. The chicken karaage was more like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Not bad but, not what I was expecting at all. My partner ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and the broth had some flavor. Not a lot ... just some. And although I don't eat the eggs, it wasn't soft boiled at all. Practically hard boiled. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen and it was horrible. I do prefer the thin noodles and it was prepared on the softer side which was fine. But the broth was absolutely FLAVORLESS. It was if they boiled water and added chili oil and tossed in some noodles and toppings. The char shu, though thickly sliced, was overly cooked. But honestly, it was probably the best thing I ate here and that's saying a lot. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place and I definitely would not come back.

A solid ramen spot! Ordered the purple sweet potato tempura as an appetizer and came out piping hot. I love anything potato so this was a heavy hitter. The ramen broth was tasty and the noodles were cooked to a perfect texture. The few things I did not enjoy much (or more so just caught me off guard) was the fact that the chasu was on the drier side. I've never experienced dry chasu in my ramen before. It was not tender at all and had a very tough, chewy texture to it. I also never seen corn in my ramen before.. that was something new for me! I didn't mind since I love corn but just an observation lol. Service was a little lackluster. No one checked in on us besides when it was time to take our order and to pay. Nothing really special there but not a deal breaker in my book. I will be coming back to try their black garlic ramen and other appetizers!

Had an amazing dinner at Haya Ramen. I love the location as it's near other local restaurants. I would highly recommend visiting this shopping center when you're hungry! There's lots of great options to choose from. Back to Haya, the service was prompt and the server was very kind and friendly. She was attentive to our needs and allowed us enough time to order, eat and made time to also clean in between. The menu has great appetizers to choose from, and the ramen options are not much, however, you are free to customize them however you want. It's clearly listed on the menu all the sides and extras you can add, of course for an additional cost. I decided to order the spicy tonkatsu ramen and it was indeed spicy and flavorful! It came with seaweed, bamboo, corn, purple cabbage, egg, bean sprouts, house chili paste and protein of your choice. I exchanged the pork for tofu for mine and it was delicious! One thing I did notice is that the noodles were very thin, almost spaghetti like. I am not used to these type of noodles in a traditional ramen bowl, so it was something new for me to experience. The establishment was very clean, had cute decor and had both indoor and outdoor seating. There's also plenty of parking outside, but if you come during a lunch or dinner rush, it might be harder to find close parking, so plan accordingly! I do plan on visiting again when I'm in the area. This is such a cozy spot to get your ramen fix!

I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. This was my first time here and it was super delicious. I ordered extra noodles because I'm simply obsessed with noodles. Everything was super good: the food and the service.

Overpriced , no flavor , costco ingredients. If you claim to have a ramen place please don't say it's authentic Japanese Noodles. The service is ok but the ramen is just a pity to charge for a simple broth that taste like it's bought elsewhere. It looks pretty but don't be fooled .

Mediocre at best. I have better Ramen all over Boise. Too much noodles not enough broth. Noodles are not that special or unique.

The pork xiao long bao was very bland in my opinion; I had to rely on the vinegar for some flavoring. The skin is very thick, and there is just simply not enough broth in the xiao long bao. I expected more from this, as xiao long baos are their signature dish. The beef rolls were mediocre; the beef rolls I've eaten are usually dripping with hoisin sauce or oil. This one is very dry. It's really crunchy though, so that's a pro! The Shanghai shrimp chowmein was the best dish out of all. Each bite was a rush of flavor, I can taste the wok air!! As I am a thick noodles person, these noodles were perfect for me. 88 bao bao, you gotta slide me the recipe for this chow mein, hahah! The pan fried pork buns were good. Loved the broth for this one, and they were pan fried perfectly. However, the meat was more dense and compressed than the traditional ones. The chocolate xiao long baos was far from what I expected. I know this new trendy chocolate xiao long baos roots from din tai fung's menu, and there have been countless recipes of them online, the most popular being the Lindt chocolate wrapped in the xl bao skin. I'll stop beating around the bush. A bite into 88 bao bao's chocolate xiao long bao, it was Lindt. I don't know if I'll ever pay 9 bucks for something that is so simply made. Additionally, I'm sure they way overcooked it, cause the chocolate has the same consistency as water. A bite causes a whole splash. Service was very attentive. Mid meal, a woman, which we assume is the owner/boss, came to see how everything was. She was very bubbly and outgoing!
