Ahhh it's like a warm hug! Ordered the Yuzu chicken ramen and Hiroshi ramen with chashu. The broth was soothing and had the perfect flavors. The chicken was braised and had the right bite to it. We came during a busy rainy night, but the staff was so nice. It's a cute quaint little spot, but it's definitely a must try!
Popular dining spot [Walnut Creek CA] Daughter and I worked up an appetite after doing some shopping at the Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. She chose this restaurant which was just a short walk to Downtown from the shopping center. The interior is very intimate and cozy and we were fortunate to get a table because it was a full house. There was a small bar seating that could probably sit 4 to 5 adults. We placed our order for the Salt & Pepper Wings, Deep Fried Gyoza and Tantanmen ramen (daughter liked that spicy kick). The wings were flavorful but the gyoza, I felt, was a bit overcooked. Customer service was great! During our dining experience there were actually customers willing to wait for an open table. Yes, very popular dining spot among the locals and out of town visitors. There was no waiting area or lobby so we could clearly see. Review #3979
We came here for lunch on a sunny Saturday, and it was pleasant! It's a cozy, no frills ramen spot located on a side street away from the hustle & bustle. Was immediately greeted by a very friendly server who spoke to me in Japanese, which always feels reassuring when I enter a Japanese restaurant, phew! Yay for authenticity! Kids had Hiroshi Ramen, (tonkotsu broth) and I had Yuzu Ramen (soy sauce chicken broth). We all really enjoyed the chashu, which was so tender and fatty! I really loved all the vegetables (lotus root, bok choy, bamboo shoots, etc) that accompanied it. The ramen noodles were the thinner kind, cooked al dente-very good! We always love going to Ramen Hiroshi. Tonkotsu broth is delicious. The noodles is al dente. All their appetizers is to die for: chicken karaage, fried squid legs, tako yaki balls. This time we tried the Mizuna mustard greens salad and it would've been good but they accidentally overdressed it by a lot. So super sour and tart. But I could tell the mustard greens were super fresh. Perhaps ask for the dressing on the side if you decide to order.

It's a good spot for ramen if you want something fast and easy! The noodles are good and the broth was decent, but not as good as some other places I've had. The fam and I have dined here several times since trying them years ago, and it's gotten so much better! With shrinkflation going on to the extreme at other shops, Ramen Hiroshi seems to be more generous with their meat slices in the ramen. The flavors have been more consistent as well, and the kids even finish their bowls here! The daughter's fave appetizer is the chicken karaage, and the pieces are huge. Love how they do the karaage here. I like takoyaki, but the ones here are tiny and not full spheres. Flavors are good yet standard, but the size is just so small. I've also tried their mentai potatoes, which are just potato pieces fried with the sauce over it. Not quite what I was expecting, but the flavor was pretty good. Not too much seating here, so we go mostly during the off peak hours to get a seat, even if it's at the bar. Service has been decent as well. Our menus are given to us and waters refilled. Homey-ish feeling inside as well. They started doing sets here, such as katsu or miso fish sets. Nice that they've expanded the menu!
We like this location more than the San Ramon store. The broth seems more authentic. Staff is friendlier too. Loved the summer ramen, very refreshing and tasted great. Ambiance was intimate, cozy, nicely decorated, and clean. It is a narrow restaurant, yet the best usage of space. Few small tables, and one or two tables for 4. Street parking is easy. They are metered parking spots. Highly recommend.
I was craving Ramen, and this hit the spot! Service was normal and the location was a little small. I believe they had a water leak from the ceiling, but we didn't mind. Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen - broth was rich, noodles were thinner, comes with 2 pieces of chasu, and few veg. It was great! Tonkatsu Meal - Pork Katsu with rice and miso soup. So crispy, meat was tender and outside was very crispy. They fried it well.
We love this place for a quick and delicious bowl of ramen. The broth is flavorful and we love the noodles. Great service and lots of food options besides ramen. Definitely one of the best in the Bay!
Lol Walnut Creek has good ramen? Color me impressed~~~ My friend introduced me to this Ramen Hiroshi location and I'm surprised I didn't discover this sooner. Tucked into a side street of downtown Walnut Creek. The space is small but cozy. Pretty empty for a Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, staff were attentive and welcoming. Our order came out within minutes. CHICKEN KARAAGE: Fried lightly with big flavor! Super tender and juicy. YUZU RAMEN: So refreshing for summer :P Just a hint of yuzu to heighten the flavor. Noodles are cooked well, broth is flavorful and rich. The chashu and onsen egg are good, not mind blowing but better than the average ramen spot. Will have to bring my partner here sometime...!

Love this place. I was walking around the area and came across this place. Came in and got seated immediately with a menu. The lady that serviced me was super sweet and friendly. Also you want quick services come here! The food was delicious everything had so much flavor I even tried their melon soda which was very refreshing. I do say it's a bit hot in here fit to it being small and being right by the kitchen. But I like the environment they even have a tv to watch while you eat. We like this location more than the San Ramon store. The broth seems more authentic. Staff is friendlier too. Loved the summer ramen, very refreshing and tasted great. We have been to the San Ramon one and thought it was just okay, but wanted to give this location a try. It is pretty small here, but you get a real feel for the cooking. We started with a daikon salad, which was pretty solid. Two orders of ramen and we left pretty happy. Take a close look at the menu because some of the noodles are different, depending on the toppings and soup flavoring. We were going to park a few blocks away in one of the local garages but spotted a nearby street spot. read more

Visited this cozu ramen spot and was seriously impressed. It's a small place with one waitress. one cook, and one assistant- and they all work nonstop, Even with how packed it gets, they deliver excellent food and service. I'm giving them five stars all around, The ramen was delicious, portions solid, and the atmosphere felt warm and authentic. Defmnitely get there right when they open because seats fll up fast. The only thing I didn't love - though I can overlook it - was that a few people who arrived after us received their food before my wife and me. We were the third group in, and folks who came in 7th and 8th were served frrst. It wasn't a huge deal, just something I noticed, Other than that. this place is great, I'll absolutely be coming back. read more

Not bad. Would come back if I were craving ramen in the area, given the limited selection. The only weird thing is they have some storage out in the seating area and it's dimly lit in there but it was a decently fast bite getting in and out. Metered parking on the streets or look for some of the garages that have some time free. Service was decent. You can pay with Apple Pay but you'll have to go over to their register. read more

Little hidden diamond, amongst the downtown Walnut Creek Locust Street's Restaurant row. Seating is a little tight, but cozy. We had cucumber salad and gyozas for appetizers. We had Miso Ramen and hot tea for the main course. Good vibe, food and service. read more

Been going here since I was in high school and the flavors have never changed! Amazing food in a cozy little space in the middle of Walnut Creek. Parking is much more easily accessible than when I used to come here years ago so it's even easier for me stop by. I would recommend the tonkotsu ramen and additionally if you're getting the tan tan men just be warned if you sub the ground pork for chashu, some of that spice will be missing. (The ground pork for tantanmen dishes is normally spicy ground pork hence why my chashu subbed dish wasn't as spicy) read more
I've gone to Ramen Hiroshi a few times. It definitely satisfies that ramen craving I have when I don't want to travel too far! The broth is flavorful and addicting. Plus, they have hakata style noodles which are my favorite. Their chicken karaage is nice and crispy. My partner had the tantanmen with the ground pork subbed for pork belly. Without the ground pork, it wasn't as spicy as usual, but the broth creamy and had a nice sesame flavor! Ramen Hiroshi is a cozy, casual ramen spot in Downtown Walnut Creek. The best authentic ramen spot in the area! Love the shoyu ramen noodles here for the kids to split. We love the miso ramen for ourselves. Hubby loves the spicy chicken wings - he always gets two orders of it. Simple and so tasty! We cannot go anywhere else for ramen like this! read more

Been years since we've tried this spot. We came in and it was about half full. Ordered three starters- chicken karaage (excellent), Pan fried gyoza (good filling, but shoulda chose deep fried), and salt and pepper wings (decent). We all had ramen of course- I had miso and the others had tonkotsu. Broth was decent but needed a little more deeper flavor IMO. We arrived on the earlier side for dinner about 5:30pm, which was the right choice because not too much later about 15-20min the place was packed every table filled and a line at the door. The restaurant is on the more intimate side, and they had one server for the entire place. She was amazing, working on getting phone orders out the door and seeing to all of the seated customers for the dinner rush. It looked like a 3 person operation and it was impressive. We ordered the takoyaki, house tonkotsu ramen, and the Yuzu ramen. I really enjoyed my Tokotsu ramen. The broth was perfect and I added a bit of the chili paste and it was the perfect amount of spicy kick. Overall service was a 5, the takoyaki was a 4.5 (I've had fluffier -- they served on the browner side but it wasn't bad just different), and the tonkotsu was a 5, while my partner gave his Yuzu ramen a 4. Ambiance and vibe was casual and quaint, everyone was dining so peacefully, not a loud/party crowd. Mainly families with small children and couples. Food is great! Closest to the tastes of Japan! Authentic noodles! So good! Service is a bit slow but it's probably bec they are short staffed. Nothing fancy about the look of the place. You go there for the food for sure. Bathrooms can use a little TLC. read more

Are any of their ramen vegetarian?
No, they only have pork or chicken ramen on the menu.
Do they serve ramen for takeout?
Yes! I’ve gotten takeout several times. However they’ve made mistakes so try not to have any special instructions and check what you get.
Is the restaurant closed? They've been closed on doordash for a week. I just tried calling the last 20 Mins and their phone line is busy.
It'll be re-opening later this month, I believe. It's been closed for renovation.
Do they do reservations/call ahead seating? My husband and I live in Vacaville and don't wanna get there to wait an hour lol
No reservations but there are places near by to sit and have a drink while you wait. The wait is never an hour but around 20 to 30 is the most I've ever waited.
Do they have vegetarian ramen?
No. My daughter is a Vegetarian and they would not make a veggie Ramen. Stuck eating side dishes
