So yesterday my brother and I finally tried the dinner menu at Fuji Sushi Buffet for the very first time. We'd always only gone for their lunch menu before, but we were really craving sushi and sashimi last night, so we thought Fuji would be the best place to go since we were starving!! We noticed that the dinner menu wasn't that much different from the lunch. Seems like only a handful of items are added, so we still made sure to try some of those dinner-only items. One was the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, and it was absolutely delicious! The whole thing was edible, so there was no need to de-shell the crab, and the tempura batter was nice and crispy. The crab also didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked that they served it with a tempura dipping sauce on the side because it helped refresh the dish and cut back on the greasiness a little bit. Another thing I was really super curious to try was the Smoked Salmon. I did order it, but I think the guy working at the sashimi section misheard me and ended up giving me regular salmon instead - boo! I wanted to go back and order more later, but by that point I was already really full, so I decided not to be greedy. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same as the lunch offerings. In general, my brother and I really like this place. It's definitely our go-to spot when it comes to all you can eat sushi and sashimi. My brother and I love getting a huge plate of sashimi with a variety of fish like Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel, and even Unagi too. I also love how quick the service was, and they impose no limitation on how many times we can order or how many items we can get each round. We just feel really comfortable eating here. We'll definitely come back again in the near future!

Honestly this is best ayce sushi I've been too and find myself coming back often! I love sushi and have been to a number of other ayce sushi places and tbh, none of them compare to Fuji when it comes to both price, quality, and consistency. For the price, it's very affordable as you pay a flat price and can order everything off the menu. There's no extra charge for sashimi either which I found that all other ayce sushi places do and even with the extra charge for sashimi at other places, their sashimi is often small and the quality is low or just poorly prepared. At Fuji, the sashimi is always consistent and they provide great cuts and variety of sashimi like salmon, eel, tuna, mackerel, and more. I love that it's already included as part of the price and there's no hidden or extra fees. The rolls taste great as well! You can easily grab the rolls from the shelf where they put the freshly made rolls or if you don't see the rolls you want, you can ask the sushi chefs to make them. Personally, I find it more worth it to ask the sushi chefs for sashimi, hand rolls, and the aburi (seared) salmon which is my personal favorite here lol. For the appetizers, you need to order with the waiters but luckily they're very quick and attentive! The fried oyster is really good. The space itself is pretty large and you'll either be seated at a table or at the bar but if you're able to choose, definitely go with the bar! The bar includes the rotating conveyor belt which often has salmon nigiri and other small dishes which makes it more convenient to sit there. This review has been long overdue tbh but I've been here enough times and the quality, consistency, variety, and price is what makes me keep coming back!

This is one of our go to places- both as a family and when we have company. You can make your reservation thru Yelp. They are so welcoming when we come in, always welcoming us back. We do go 3-4 times a month. You order apps and drinks off the menu from your server. They have the belt you can grab freshly made sushi from, as well as some up in the window where you order custom rolls. Everything is so fresh and yummy. The quality is always consistent. The restaurant and restrooms are always clean Plenty of parking

Fuji Sushi Buffet, Concord I had been here so many times, never had a problem. The staff are awesome! You can also do reservations on Yelp 10 or 15 minutes before they open. The staffs always come by to clean out plates when you're done. The waitress and waiter often come by and ask if we want to order things from the kitchen. The sushi chefs are very fast, quick and great with our orders. If you sit at the bar, the chefs happily drop your orders to you! I often try to come early for better seatings. The current price for lunch is $24.99 weekdays. I highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi and sashimi! They have hamachi Kama as well! Would come back again if I'm in the area or for special occasions!

Not my first time at Fuji's, which says enough! For the price, it's hard to complain. The fish, service and wait times are pretty consistent. I always have a good time eating here with friends and family. There's a good amount of bar and table seating to accommodate big groups. I always get the sashimi and nigiri plates. The tuna isn't my favorite, but the salmon is generally pretty good! I love that it's unlimited refills for drinks. Overall, a pretty good AYCE spot and will be returning in the near future.

Come hungry! Make sure you make your AYCE worth it, because the food is delicious and will make you want to keep coming back for more. Our absolute favorite and great for reorders: Salmon Skin Handroll Lion King Aburi Salmon on Rice Salmon Handroll The restaurant is clean and has large capacity for a lot of customers. I appreciate how they make everything bright, unlike other Fuji restaurants I've been to.

Went here for my friends birthday! We drove from SF to get this great sushi buffet deal! There is a conveyor belt circulating with various dishes. There is also a shelf with rolls made ready. For specialty items, you will order with the chef! What type of sushi and how many pieces? order drinks and appetizers with the waiters. great quality and bang for your buck! it was a long drive with traffic, but worth the drive. Great place to have a special meal or a sushi craving. i loved the salmon aburi and unagi hand rolls, and my friends like their rolls! we had a reservation for 4 people, seated right away. but seems like you can also walk in if they're not busy.

My mom and I came here for lunch, since we've always wanted to try this location. We've been to the Vacaville location many times and we like it there. With the good reviews here, I trusted it's the same. The way you order is the same. I think the service over at Vacaville seems a little nicer, though. I did like their fish here, as it still tasted pretty fresh! My favorite thing to order was their seared tuna nigiri! However, there were times where my mom would grab a roll from the bar area and the sushi tasted old/has been sitting there for awhile. I'd rather order fresh from the bar than take a roll that's been sitting there for who knows how long. We also ordered the hamachi kama, veggie tempura, cucumber salad, and sesame balls, which were all reordered! I would like to add... we noticed every time we would ask for a plate or cup, it would be very dirty.. it's almost like they didn't wash their dishes thoroughly. The food was still good, but it was just unpleasant seeing dirty dishes brought to us that we wouldn't want to eat or drink from it.

    Kristi Y.

Eh for AYCE you can't really expect much. However, the ordering process isn't efficient either. I thought there would at least be some food on the conveyor belt, not to mention the long line to queue at the sushi bar! The fish quality is average, with a somewhat tougher texture. (Octopus was so tough) Also, it seemed like a lot of it was premade and sitting there. Definitely not at the top of my list to return to if I'm ever craving AYCE lol.

I am surprised at how long it took me to visit this place. I remember going to a Fuji in Davis, but I am not sure if it is part of this chain. Anyway, we put ourselves on the waitlist since I wasn't sure how long it would take to get a table. It was a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly not too crowded. We opted to sit at the bar once we say the conveyor belt. On the belt is just the salads (seaweed, octopus, jellyfish, etc). Since it was our first time, we didn't know how it worked, but we asked the server. Order appetizers from the waiter and sushi from the chefs. There are also premade ones to choose from at the chef's station. I like that they have a variety of appetizers that are kid-friendly. There are plenty of seats and space, but it can get crowded once the restaurant fills up. The line to order can get backed up, so one improvement they can make is for customers to be able to order through the waiters. Otherwise, everything was delicious and the service was great! We fully enjoyed the menu items The hamachi wasn't our best, but it'll do for buffet. Our favorites were definitely the Chef's Specials. My favorite was the Aburi Salmon Sushi. Anyway, can't wait to come back and fill my belly to the brim.

A pretty nice sushi buffet place. Is it in the top three sushi places I have tried? No. But considering it's a buffet it is good. We tried various sushi from the main course. We also tried tempura, teriyaki chicken as appetizers. The grilled salmon appetizer is horrible. The salmon is very slimy!! I had sashimi and even raw salmon, I never had that slimy! Really bad! But other than that, the sushi are nice. To top it off, the sesame balls are nice dessert. They are filled with bean paste. The service is very prompt and very friendly. Nice ambience, we see a lot of Asian people eating, that is always a good sign. Don't want to sound racist, but it is a good sign to see Asian people eating at an Asian place!

    Theresa L.

I was skeptic as hell to go to a sushi buffet, but the work bestie talked me into it. Much to my surprise, the food was good, fresh and made to order, and the all you could eat price kind of was like jamming on the one. Service was good, I just wish our hostess would've told us the ordering process since it was our first time, kinda like they should do that. "Is this your first time here, this is what you do sort of thing." The chefs were nice as hell tho! Ambience was good. Everybody was there engaged in good table conversation, enjoying their food. Ambience at my table was hella good because of the work besties. I'm gonna go ahead and give this place 4 yumms up and I'll be back since I know the ordering process and definitely order much more upon my return!

Fuji Sushi Buffet Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Fuji Sushi Buffet

How much is it for kids under 4 years old?

Children Lunch Mon-Fri Age 3-11: $1.75 per year of age…

Has the menu changed? I see very recent reviews (late January) saying that items are being eliminated from the AYCE menu. No more soft shell, or oyster, at dinner? Is that correct? Or are they confused?

Last time I was there about a week ago the menu is still the same soft shell is only available during dinner and oyster is available both lunch and dinner.

    Weekday for lunch price?

$24.99 Lunch Monday – Friday at their Concord location. $23.99 Lunch Monday – Friday at their Vacaville location.…

What menu items do you recommend?

This is late but I'd suggest going with someone else. This way you can "try" an item and decide if you like it or not. If not, hopefully the other members of your party will help you finish off the plate.…

How much is lunch on Saturday and Sunday?

I am pretty sure lunch on Saturday and Sunday is the $30.99 ALL DAY. That's also the price of dinner for Saturday & Sunday and Holidays too.

    Is there take out?

    Not at this location

How much are kid (12 and below) prices for dinner?

I believe the price is the same for everyone, especially senior citizens. I don't think there is a discount for birthday

What is the current price for AYCE for lunch? Is it just sushi only?

$23.99 lunch. you can order others beside sushi

Besides the difference in price between lunch and dinner, are food selection different at lunch and at dinner?

More selections in Appetizers, nigiri sushi and sashimi, during dinner but the hand rolls and the seared sashimi plates are basically the same. If you go to their website and compare their lunch vs dinner menu, you would see they offer more…

Can you place to go orders?

    Yes

Aside from the sushis, sashimi, or salad from the conveyor belt, what other foods do they have?

My kids always order a side of sesame chicken. I always get some tuna collar (grilled) and oysters on a half shell.

My boyfriend doesn't eat raw fish. Are there enough cooked options to make it worth the cost?

So basically, he will be looking at the appetizers section like tempura, teriyaki, gyoza, karage (fried chicken) and other grilled items. However, these fried foods were fried earlier and probably quickly reheated before serving to you so quality…

Do you take reservations? I've been calling and no one is answering.

Fuji Sushi Buffet does not take reservations. They are a first come first serve restaurant. You can join their wait list using the iPad outside, to the left of their front door. The iPad is outside while they are open and approximately 30 minutes…

I tried calling but no answer. Are they open for Labor Day 2022?

The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Labor Day is always on a Monday and Labor Day is Monday Sept 5, therefore, they are closed.

How is it in a Friday night? Too busy?

Very busy 1 hour wait minimum

Will you serve a party of one? Is there a surcharge?

    Yes! No surcharge.

What's the largest party you can accommodate to?could I come in with a group of 8 or are table sizes only for 4?

I have seen groups of 8 be seated. I'm not sure what their max would be.

What is the difference between lunch and dinner menu beside soft shell crab which our family don't eat?

What I noticed was obviously what you had already mentioned, the soft shell crab. Next is the price. Dinner was (I believe $10 more than lunch). I also noticed when I ordered the Sashimi, they all came on the large plate. They didn't asked if I…

Does this location offer take out similar to the Vacaville location?

I called this place a couple weeks ago to ask and they said they are planning to do take out, but they do not have enough cooks yet to do so. Hopefully it will be soon!

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes

They had sushi and chinese food so not much more you could ask for. There's a wide variety for honestly, it's not bad bot it's not great either. It's about quantity not quality so if you want a lot of food and am not picky then you'd prolly like it! Most items were a bit bland and just a little off. For example, the sushi rice could use a little more rice wine, the shrimp could have used a little salt and pepper and been a bit crispier. I ate a bunch of sushi cuz who can resist? Bit the tastiest items were the onion rings (reminded me of Jack in the Box), the fried chicken wings (who doesn't love fried chicken wings?) and surprisingly the garlic string beans and chow mein. The place is large and the people nice. Lots of people coming in to eat so it's a popular spot. I don't think you'd ever have to wait for a table. Would I eat here again? Maybe cuz the price is reasonable and there are a few items I enjoyed.

So if you're looking to enjoy the dessert more than the show, go for the molten chocolate cake instead. 4.75/5 !

Amazing experience from start to finish!!…read more The ambiance is chill, food remarkable, drinks strong/refreshing, and service impressive!! I went there last Thursday evening and will definitely be returning sooner than later. The service was stellar, every meat selection came out tender and piping hot! Great salad bar selection as well as desserts! Thank you Lucas and Mikaela for making our dinner so memorable!! Wish I took pics but I was so busy eating! =))

Deserves an updated review given the last was in 2019. Few things have changed over the years…read more Items like crab, eggs, and Shungiku (chrysanthemum leaves) are no longer offered. On a positive note, their chicken karaage has improved. However, now and then the pieces are too small. There's no shame in ordering more. Not a big deal. For the most part, everything remained the same. Primarily dine here for the protein. The turnaround can sometimes slow down then later pick up. Had a few instances where meats came in at the very last minute. Ten stacks of beef would pile up on a single drop. Occurs back-to-back as well. Not a problem in the beginning but can be ridiculous when you are wrapping up. Their official app is no longer managed by Incentivio for some unknown reason. Unable to login or even do a password reset. Completely unusable. Besides the fallouts, it remains to be a favorite when seeking a high protein meal.

Hubby was so excited to get so many apps and meats. I appreciate that I can just get veggies and that they have a vegetarian broth- we always get the spicy miso The restrooms were in much need of a good cleaning and restocking of paper products The parking lot was very busy when we went to leave, but we didn't have a hard time finding parking when we first arrived The music was nice today/ lots of ABBA. Often, when we've come in the past the music is blaring It's also normally freezing- I always bring a light jacket. Today the temperature was comfortable
