Great ayce place in Pleasant hill/Concord area. They have good selection of Chinese and Japanese food. Their Sashimi is pretty fresh and pretty good cut size. They have giant steamed oysters and nicely flavored clams, shrimp, & crabs dishes. Their Dessert selection is better than some of the ayce place I've tried recently. They even have Taro sago hot dessert that will enhance your meal. They have fountain drinks, coffee section, and ice cream in cups. You must try their clam chowder, hot and sour soup, and their saucy ribs with 5 spice powder. I didn't get to try them all, but we will explore other items on our next visit. It was our first time trying this place and was surprised to see a big crowd of people outside near the entrance at 11:30am. Overall experience is positive and we'll surely let our family and friends know about it. read more

Rating: 3.5/5 For $30.99 this AYCE buffet was pretty decent in comparison to other buffets that I've been to in the Bay Area. Came right when they opened and there was a line already forming. I tried a bit of everything, but what stood out to me the most was the hot and sour soup, taro sago, salt and pepper shrimp and crab, honey walnut shrimp, snow crab legs, fried chicken, salmon nigiri, oysters, and the scallop with vermicelli noodles. What caught my eye in wanting to eat here in the first place was the fact that they have beef ribs, but sadly it was a let down. It was cold and I didn't like how it was seasoned--along with the pork ribs. It's preference, but I'm not a fan of five spice. The clam chowder was watery and I didn't notice any clams or potatoes--I even stirred around and it was a full pot. The dessert section was an afterthought and was just the typical desserts buffets usually have and nothing that stood out except for the chocolate fountain. However, the other food listed above especially the seafood is where I got my moneys worth. All of the food was displayed nicely and clearly labeled, dishes were refilled pretty fast, the bussers are always coming around to clear out our finished plates which was great, and I liked how drinks were always included in our price and was self-serve. There are tons of tables, the hosts up front were welcoming, however it's best to come early since this place gets packed fast. If in the area, I wouldn't mind eating here again but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I decided to celebrate my birthday here with the fam for the first time! I was looking for a popular buffet spot in Concord and stumbled upon Fusion Buffet. We arrived before 12 PM on a Saturday and were seated right away. The place was pretty spacious. Some of the dishes we tried and really enjoyed were the salt-and-pepper crab, salt-and-pepper shrimp, prawns, beef ribs, and selections from the sushi bar. They even have a Mongolian BBQ station, which was a pretty sweet bonus! I like how they have a self serve beverage machine. Overall, it was a great spot for a birthday meal with the family, and I'm glad we decided to give it a try. read more

Fusion Buffet is on the front side of the Sun Valley Mall. Near BJ's restaurant. They have a buffet with a bunch of different options. The food is actually good! They have sushi rolls. They also have an Asian noodle bar. You grab as many noodles as you want and put them in a bowl. Along with whatever meat or shrimp that you want. They have a great assortment of veggies. Then you hand it to the cook behind the counter. They cook it on a giant surface right in front of you. It's DELICIOUS!!! There was too much to choose from. They do have dumplings as well as wontons. Also a huge dessert bar. If you go during lunchtime, it's a great deal! It comes out to about $22 a person and it's all you can eat! Dinner is about $32.00 a person. They do have a discount for seniors and kids. It's definitely a place we're trying. It's a great place to take a couple of friends and enjoy a good meal. read more

Was I. The area and decided to give it a try as they had beef ribs on menu. Nice clean place and everything is completely self serve. It's like your typical Asian buffet but with a Mongolian station. I started out with the Mongolian station picked out thin slices of beef and pork and loaded it with veggies minus noodles. It smell and tasted good just that meat was chewy and tough. Then the beef rib that sold me to the place. Well it not what I was expecting. It was boiled and they threw on bbq sauce. Not a fan and it was cold. The Japanese station with rolls and nigiri was fresh looking and clean. And the hot food was ok. Highlight for me would be the fried shrimp and walnut shrimp. The price for weekend is dinner price and it's actually not bad for $35. read more

While I still stand by what I wrote about coming here for weekend lunch and how hectic it can get, I think the food they offer on weekends is much better than what they serve during weekday lunch. I'm still generally not a big fan of visiting on weekends though. Because the place gets so crowded, you sometimes have to wait a while for certain items to be replenished. But my favorite food that they serve only on the weekend (or dinner) are the Steamed Oysters served in their gigantic shells, which look absolutely impressive, and the Grilled Sweet Shrimp. The Sweet Shrimp reminds me of Tiger Prawns, just much much bigger, and they taste amazing. They're incredibly juicy, and the meat is so tender too. They also offer sashimi on the weekends, although it's limited to Salmon and Tuna. Other than those though, the rest of the food is pretty much the same as the weekday lunch menu. I'm really glad to see they're doing so well. The place was packed when we came here for lunch yesterday. The service was fast and spot on as always. The servers were constantly making their rounds and clearing dirty plates from the tables as soon as they saw them. Great service. Also, they're currently giving 5% off if you pay in cash, just fyi. read more

This buffet was a disappointment overall. Most of the dishes were either too sweet or lacked flavor. The variety of food was decent, but the selection wasn't particularly extensive, and while the quality was acceptable, there wasn't a single dish that stood out or felt worth coming back for. The desserts appeared to be pre-made and brought in from outside rather than freshly prepared, and unfortunately, they didn't taste very good. Cleanliness was also an issue. Some of the plates, bowls, and especially the cups were not properly cleaned--I noticed coffee stains and even lipstick marks on a few cups. On the positive side, the service was fine. Staff were attentive in clearing used plates promptly. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I left feeling disappointed. read more

We had my mom's birthday at Fusion at 5pm on a Sunday for 20 people. It took about 75 minutes to get a table. They offered us seating in the patio but it 104 degrees out. Once inside, we had a nice set of tables in a corner. Note that you pay up front and all drinks are self serve. This makes it so that there are no waiters, just bussers. Sushi - basic selection (California rolls and a few different rolls, salmon, tuna, shrimp, unagi rolls), salmon and tuna sashimi/poke Mongolian bbq Chinese (chow mein, fried rice, etc) Snow crab Large prawns Beef ribs Salt and pepper shrimp - love Salt and pepper Fried blue crab - love Cooked oyster - huge Cooked scallop Cajun Seafood boil - nice, had crawfish, corn, crab, shrimp and sausage Various soups Ice cream Fruits and desserts Chocolate fountain The selection wasn't as big as other places, but it was pretty good. It was about a medium sized buffet, so not the best for functions. Overall I think it's a nice place with some good food options. Nicer decor, a little cozy compared to other buffets,a few unexpected food options. read more

I'm usually not super into buffets but I was impressed with this one for the price and the quality of food. What stood out is the sushi selection. They used real sushi rice and it was well seasoned. The fish to rice ratio was close to getting sushi at your local restaurant. The other things they offered was good too like ribs, crab legs, oysters etc. Had a good time and they were attentive with our table. Kids eat free if they are less than three feet tall. read more

This buffet was typical lower end buffet quality but with a nice clean modern interior. I was between a 3 and 2 star until someone in my party started passing around the fruit salad as a game because the taste was unbearable and nobody could guess what it is (tasted like no joke fluoride from the dentist). Most of the plates had a lot of left overs just because majority of the food was not that good. I hate to be negative because everyone was friendly and it does taste like what I would have expected from a buffet. read more

Fusion Buffet - The entire (mostly) dessert offering. Not very good - Buffets Near Me - Concord, California

Debating with the homie about which buffet to pick, we landed on Fusion because of the photos, in spite of the $10 higher price. The moment we arrived, I noticed how busy the place was outside. People waiting to get inside a non exclusively sushi buffet? Whaaaaat?! We put ourselves on the waitlist, before taking a walk around inside the mall. After his phone vibrated that our table was ready, a waiter called us to verify we were coming. This stuck me as good and weird both at the same time. On one hand, I felt like they wanted to make sure they aren't waiting for someone not coming. On the other hand, something about that felt bossy. I swung harder into thinking it was weird, when upon walking back inside, we were told we had to wait for an open table....after getting a phone call to to tell us there as a table open. Let that sink in. Food wise, this place is heaven if you love seafood. Crab legs, shrimp with the legs still attached, you'll find it here. The drinks are part of the over all cost, and huge plus that you can get your own refills. Sad face on the unsweetened tea still containing sugars. It wasn't sweet, but wasn't a virgin ice tea. This place doesn't skimp on dessert! A chocolate fountain, and fresh strawberries nearby. Ambience? Way too many people to get around comfortably. I really didn't love that. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. It was hard for me to get food and to hear my homie because it was so loud inside from overcrowding of people. read more

What a big mistake coming here! Now I'm hooked I loved this place! Lunch was $21.99 Buffett. The food was like eating a more expensive meal at any other restaurant for a great price. They had plenty of seafood to eat, salmon scallop crawfish, shrimp bass, chicken. So much to choose from! Even a variety of sushi! Great service from the cashier to the lady cleaning our plates from the table. Bathrooms were very clean too! read more

Great buffet. 3rd time. Won't gate keep. Come here. Food taste good. Fresh made food if you like. Sushi was good.

I went in with pretty low expectations since it's a buffet and I heard it can get crowded, but this place completely surprised me. It turned out to be one of the best buffet experiences I have had. My family and I visited on a weekday around 12:30 PM. While it wasn't packed, most of the tables were already occupied. Just a heads-up: kids are charged based on height. You pay upfront, and the staff helps you find a table, which keeps things organized. The food selection is impressive, and they are quick to refill dishes, so everything stays fresh and hot--almost like ordering à la carte. There's a great variety, but my personal favorites were the crab in shell, all the chicken dishes, sesame balls, and the desserts. Drinks and ice cream are included, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it's a great spot to try a wide range of dishes and discover new favorites. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I got my crew all together now, on our way to SF, but I wanted to wait awhile and let this stupid traffic die down some, so we decided to have dinner here or I decided. I know what keep everyone on the crew happy and a Chinese buffet lets everyone have what they want. This Fusion Buffet is located at the Sun Valley Mall. I think this location used to be a BBQ joint or something, it's right near the BJ;s Brewhouse. I like that place too! Lots of parking and easy to find. The buffet is pretty standard I think. We get seated and rink orders taken. Service is the usual Asian buffet, just get the drinks out and clear the plates, no reason to be friends. There's a big selection of food including all the normal American Chinese stuff, like orange chicken and egg rolls. There did seem to be a few more authentic Chinese dishes I didn't recognize, but no chicken feet! There's also a sushi selection. The buffet did it's job and got everyone fed. The quality I'd say was decent, cause the trays got refilled quickly. There were a lot of customers in here. Decent buffet I'd say. read more

I had the pleasure of eating at Fusion Buffet for the first time. I love the variety of foods. Everything from a sushi station, seafood area, meats of all kinds, a Mongolian bbq stir fry section, soups, desserts and much more. The nice thing is that drinks are also included in the $29.99 price. My favorite items were definitely the Mongolian station and the pork and beef ribs. The staff were all very friendly. The dining area is very large. They can accommodate large groups and the huge crowds of people that come to enjoy the food here. I highly recommend for those wanting to try a seafood Asian buffet. read more

The place feels modern and there is a good amount of seating available. The chairs are super comfortable. Please note you will have to pay in advance. Another place we have been meaning to try for a while and glad we did. You pay at the front before you are seated. Servers regularly cleared plates off the table. Ambiance is modern and fun.We came for late lunch Saturday afternoon. It was busy but not overwhelming. We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. The food was great. A good variety of Asian selections including seafood with variety of shrimp and crab options. There was a limited selection of dessert but we didn't mind considering tge variety of other food. The quality of everything from the sushi, dim sum, to the oysters were all amazing. The beef ribs fell off the bones. Even the fries were crispy and well seasoned. We are giving it the 5 stars for quality compared to other buffets. Even had real ice cream. Drinks were also included in buffet price. There was the 3 of us and was weekend price so a little over $100 for all of us with tip and tax. Definitely will be back. read more

Located inside Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, this buffet is easy to find and has plenty of parking, which is always a plus. As buffets have become less common these days, I'm glad to see a this one open in the area. The pricing is all-inclusive. You pay first, get seated, and then you're free to enjoy as much food as you'd like. There is a good variety of food options available, including sushi, stir-fried dishes, seafood, and much more. The drink selection includes fountain drinks, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. They even have a chocolate fountain, which was a fun touch. The dessert selection was decent, but I think it could be improved. I would love to see a soft-serve ice cream machine added instead of only offering the pre-packaged ice cream cups. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and well-lit, with plenty of seating for both small and large groups. One thing to note is that all members of your party must be present before being seated. The service was pleasant throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful with our large party. Overall, not bad at all! On a cold, rainy NYE night I made it my mission to try Fusion Buffett. i read a suggestion on Yelp and then read several reviews. I was all in. I asked my buddy if he was down with some Asian buffet and he was all in. We arrived and let the hostesses know we were there to eat. Interesting note, you pay at the beginning. Great idea, this way when you are done you can leave without having to wait for the check. FB has a great selection of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and American (mostly dessert) dishes. Once we got sat it was time for Round 1. I like to walk the aisles to get a sense of the offerings. With FB there was alot. I immediately went with some dumplings, skewers and egg rolls. For Round 2, beef ribs (nice), stir-fried veggies and fried rice. For Round 3, more ribs, kung pao chicken, pork buns and fried shrimp. For Round 4, a few more dumplings, bbq pork and a little more fried rice. It was as that point I was almost ready to hang up the gloves. But, they had red Jello. Of course, I had to balance it out with some fresh cut oranges. Oh, yeah. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. These folks do a fantastic job with buffet. I ate like it was my last meal on Earth and it was heaven. This place is definitely on my Return List. I am more than happy to make the drive out to the East Bay. We visited Fusion Buffet in Concord to celebrate my nephew's birthday and had a great experience. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with a large Space Bear statue, comfortable booths and tables, and cool purple lighting throughout the dining room. The food selection was impressive and offered something for everyone. My favorites were the flavorful spare ribs and the extensive seafood options, including king crab, mussels, oysters, large shrimp, and a wide variety of sushi. They also have a made-to-order stir-fry station where you can choose your own noodles, meats, vegetables, and toppings, and have everything cooked fresh right in front of you. The dessert area was another highlight, featuring a chocolate waterfall where you can create your own chocolate-covered fruit and marshmallow treats. They also offer self-serve beverages with a soda fountain and coffee station, plus ice cream cups in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, including the restrooms. The front hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the bussers did an excellent job consistently clearing plates with a smile. As an added bonus, guests can save 5% by paying with cash. Overall, Fusion Buffet provided a fun dining experience with great food, attentive service, and a lively atmosphere. Thsi buffet is newly opened. Opened several months ago.Staff very friendly. Food was decent and well above qulity from other buffets around the bay area. Soda and drink are self fillable. Great selection of food. Lots of fish an shrimp and other sweafood provided on the hot line. I would say my only gripe with the location is the narrow pathways between the drink station and the hot food line. Primarily attended by the elderly in the lunch hour on the weekday, they stand around the hot food line and pase for a very long time deciding whether not to get the shrimp or kun pao chicken on the line. Blocking way for those who know what they want. Had tried most of the food items, the item fresh and moist. The item I didnt like was the fish, been sitting in the heat lamp too long, forming a dry skin on the fish and making it chewy. Desserts are few and lacklaster.Susdhi was decent. Bathroom clean. rerasonable pricing for the buffet. Adults are $19.99/for lunch. staff quick to clear tables. I wouls come back to try some of the items i mimssed and try dinner read more

Really great lunch. We drove out here from west Oakland cause the reviews were mostly positive and we really enjoyed ourselves. The highlight was obviously the chocolate fountain. Fusion Buffet is located on the north side of Sun Valley Mall, occupying the space vacated by Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. My buddy George F. and I came check out this spot on 05/23/2025. It was pretty busy when we walked in at around 11:30am. We were greeted by the front counter staff, and payment was made on the spot. After the transaction was completed, one of the staff seated us at a booth. The interior was spacious and clean, but the booth we were in was kind of tight. If I was 20 lbs heavier, I would have trouble getting in and out. Their buffet featured the usual fare - sushi, cooked seafood, Chinese dishes, dim sum, Mongolian BBQ, American food, soups and salad, desserts, etc. I tried many items and thought the overall quality range from average to decent. The Chinese dishes were probably the best part. Options were plentiful and tasted like they were freshly made. The cooked seafood section had clams, crayfish, shrimp, fried and steamed fish, squid, etc. I tried some of them and they were so-so. The sushi selection was limited to low-end rolls and nigiris. Service was very good. The front counter staff were friendly and welcoming, and the floor staff worked hard to clear our table of plates. All in all, I thought the experience was decent. Although the food was a mixed bag (more on the positive side), the excellent service, ambiance, and value overshadowed the lackluster aspects. I will return. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4. read more

There were a ton of options: Sushi, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese, American, and seafood options, along with desserts and salads. The highlight for me were the Crab Rangoons. I don't typically do buffets -- too many options and my brain gets overwhelmed -- but my elderly parents (mid-70s) wanted to come here, so here we are. It was my first time, as well as for most of our group. First impression wasn't great. We were a party of six and were initially seated outside on the patio on a cold, rainy evening... with no one asking if that worked for us. It didn't. Thankfully, they were able to reseat us inside within about five minutes, but it was a rough start. Inside, the walkways between tables are tight. I found myself watching people twist sideways or suck in their gut while carrying full plates -- definitely something to be mindful of. Now, onto the buffet experience. It's... chaotic. There's no real flow or line system -- just grab a plate and jump in. Offerings lean heavily Asian-inspired (sushi, Chinese dishes, Mongolian BBQ, seafood), with some American options like pizza and fries, plus salad, fruit, and dessert stations. Round 1: I went straight for the sushi and salmon sashimi. The rolls were pretty standard -- nothing memorable. The sashimi was actually my favorite from this round, though not the highest quality cuts. Still, it did the job. Round 2: I tried the fried shrimp, fried crab, baked mussels, and cold crab legs. * Fried shrimp was solid -- crispy enough that you could eat the shell. * Fried crab wasn't bad, but I stuck to the body pieces since the legs were too small to bother with. * Mussels were okay -- more sauce than actual mussel. * The crab legs were not for me. The meat stuck to the shell and crumbled, which usually means they were overcooked at some point (likely frozen and reheated). But plenty of people were enjoying them, so take that as you will. Round 3 (Dessert): * Taro with sago was disappointing -- mostly coconut milk, lacking flavor and substance. * Honeydew and cantaloupe weren't sweet. * The gelatin desserts were actually the highlight here. Denser than Jell-O, with the red being a mild cherry flavor. The yellow one had that familiar "Asian candy mystery fruit" vibe -- not sure what it was supposed to be, but it had the most flavor and was my favorite of the desserts. One standout? The busser. He was hustling -- clearing plates quickly both inside and on the patio, always with a smile. I appreciated how hard he was working and made sure to tip him, especially since I didn't see many others doing so. Would I come back? Probably not voluntarily. But I can absolutely see the appeal -- $31 per person for AYCE is attractive for the variety offered. Come with an open mind, a bit of patience, and maybe a strategy. read more

Ambiance was solid, service was awesome, and the food had a ton of variety! There were a good selection of meats and seafood to choose from and even a Mongolian bbq/hibachi station where you can select whatever you wanted to be cooked on the griddle and have someone cook it up right in front of you! There were a lot more options than I imagined! It is rather easy to navigate through as everything is laid out right in front with plenty of walking space around. One of the more memorable dishes that I tried was the sweet and sour tilapia. The sauce wasn't the regular, generic sweet and sour sauce but rather a tangier, less thick, and more flavorful sauce. Fish was also pretty good quality. The salt and pepper prawns I loved as well. They were fresh even for a buffet and the seasoning on them was near perfect. Best decent buffet. The tuna was great and not fishy at all. The grill had quite a bit of options. There was more food than it seemed at first. I was full before I got to try everything. We had to wait unfortunately 2 hours on Father's Day (shocker right ... I'm kidding). They had a lot of sides here and there. The kimchi sucked though. And there wasn't enough ice, it was out in one machine. The seafood boil was amazing though, the corn inside was PACKED with flavor and I think I ate two full corn cobs combined. My baby liked everything I gave her and she usually is a little picky. I would definitely come here again when I try all the buffets in my area but it's definitely #1 at the moment. read more

Very sucky experience. I found a fly underneath the melted cheese on my baked salmon fillet when I peeled the cheese off. I brought it to the staff's attention, they refused any compensation, claiming the fly must have come from outside. That explanation made no sense since the fly was under the cheese. What bothered me most wasn't just finding the fly; it was how my concern was dismissed. A simple apology and taking responsibility would have gone a long way.
