$19.5 plus 8% service charge = very good value for weekday lunch. Lots of variety of food choices and cuisines: build your own pho noodle soup, build your own hibachi, and lots of sushi rolls. Very roomy, bright, clean. Unlike regular Chinese buffet -- usually the quality is less. This place is good for lunch. As I left, they started putting out items for dinner only starting 3pm. Crabs, shrimps, freshly stir fried vegetables, etc. Parking was easy.

Good to see another option for buffets in Vallejo. This place is huge and there is plenty of space to host small and big parties. Decor inside is really nice. The folks that come pick up your finished plates are quick. Everything is self served including getting your own drinks and ice cream for dessert. The food is ok for the buffet. The only thing I was worried about is the pho section. I don't know if the meat tasted funny or what, but all the rest of the food was fine. I do wish they served sashimi as an option. It would have made it really worth it. Overall, a good buffet to go to in Vallejo

Not bad at all for AYCE! Granted it's not like a wicked spoon in Las Vegas or any of those but you can find something for everyone here. We came here Sunday at opening at 11 am for Father's Day and stayed for the maximum time. My parents loved the snow crab and ate all the Chinese food and sushi. I thought the California rolls and nigiri were good enough. The beef pho was good and they even have tripe and beef balls as an option to add to your soup. For drinks you can get unlimited soda, tea, water and coffee. For dessert they have cookies, individual ice cream containers and jello and fruit. Service was easy. Pay at the front when you arrive and just sit down where they escort you to. The waiters are good about collecting your finished plates pretty quickly. Since this is a brand new restaurant they made it clean and modern. The dining room is HUGE!!! And there is additional seating by the front where they call it the party room in case you want a more private area - but this one is further away from the hibachi and pho. At 28.99 a person plus tip and tax I might come back on a weekday lunch if I have a craving but I'm not really a buffet person since I'm on GLp1. But really my parents like AYCE and they were happy!

    Not the best area!

This Asian buffet offers a typical selection of sushi, stir-fry, and hot soup stations. People are constantly refilling their food trays, which is a good sign that the food is being replenished regularly. However, I must admit that I'm not a fan of buffets, especially when the public touch the serving spoons. On a positive note, I accompanied someone to this buffet, and we had a pleasant time. The employees were coming over to take used dishes from table. However, I did notice some flies flying around the food area, which is a concern because it suggests that they might be entering the premises.

Hibachi Grill and Buffet has entered the family group text! We came in today after church and there was no less than 150 people in the building during this soft launch week, and it did not disappoint! We came right up to the counter and there was an escort waiting to take us directly to our table right after we paid the cashier. Note that an 8% gratuity is included, but leaving extra for the bussers who kept our tables cleared between multiple visits to the buffet area is worth doing. The place is spic and span clean and the food is fresh, rotated on a regular bases. Super impressed they had a spicy Cajun seafood boil in the mix, along with many other seafood options - such as crab, a few variations and shrimp, mussels, oysters, clams and more! Overall, it's a solid range of Asian cuisine, including freshly prepared sushi, make your own Vietnamese noodle and stir fry bowls, dim sum, and many American Chinese restaurant standards. I did not try the desserts, but the options were plentiful, including fresh fruits, and couple freezers full of single serve ice cream cups. I also appreciated the signage that prohibits kids under 10 serving themselves without an adult, which I'm sure helps manage food waste, not to mention the cootie risks! I graded this place as a buffet, and it's the best you get can get locally without going all the way to Vegas, so it's a solid 4 stars in my book. Plus, this is the kind of bustling business this sleepy Vallejo mall needed, and I'm cheering them on to keep thriving!

Soft opening for Vallejo's new hibachi buffet -- same ownership as the Fairfield location. So far, so good. The menu is almost identical to Fairfield's, which is great for those of us living in Vallejo since it's much closer now. Parking is easy, but definitely stay aware of your surroundings and don't leave valuables in your car. Unfortunately, this plaza and surrounding area have had ongoing crime issues, and I personally experienced an armed robbery here two years ago. Just use common sense and be cautious. Once inside, the staff greet you right away and you pay before eating. During the soft opening everyone was getting 10% off, and the restaurant was PACKED. Despite that, the staff worked hard and stayed on top of everything. Popular items like the seafood boil, coconut shrimp, dim sum, and cheese mussels disappeared quickly, but they were also refilled just as fast. Credit to both the staff and management -- they clearly prepared well for the crowds. The restaurant itself is clean overall, although I did notice a couple stained plates and utensils mixed in with the clean dishware area. Sadly, that's something I've come to expect occasionally from chain buffets. The food is decent -- not amazing, but fair for the price. What really won me over was the all-you-can-eat pho. As someone very picky about pho, I'd actually give the broth a solid 7/10, which is impressive for a buffet. The meat tends to overcook and isn't the highest quality, but again, it's AYCE pho so I can't complain too much. The beef tendon balls were good (pretty standard if you shop at Asian markets), and the tripe was surprisingly solid. They also provide basil, cilantro, jalapeños, and the usual pho add-ons, which I appreciated. For the variety and convenience, it's hard to beat. Vallejo has lost a lot of buffet spots over the years like Empire Buffet and Golden City Buffet -- places many locals grew up with. It's nice to finally see a new buffet that's clean, organized, and well maintained so far. Even the bathrooms were clean. I genuinely hope the community helps keep this place nice. Right now there's no graffiti, broken furniture, or grime buildup, but it's also brand new, so time will tell. I'll probably update this review in a year to see how well they maintain everything. Overall: solid 7/10. I'll definitely be back.

I thought it was a cool and clean place. I came here for the soft opening to celebrate a long week at work. My favorite was the build your own Vietnamese noddles soup. They also had the hibachi option of stirred fried option. The workers are constantly refilling and checking to make sure food was filled. Free drinks, different options of soups. I was pretty impressed. Sushi, fried food, salad bar. For soft opening, they gave a 20% discount!

This is my second time here! I came for dinner with my family and one time with my sister at lunch! Both times, there were a variety of dishes. For the dinner time , I got the hibachi grill and for lunch I got the pho noodles. Both times were cooked to your custom choices. Both times the place was cleaned, the staff were respectful and helpful. Definitely will come back.

Located in the same plaza were Seafood City is among other things. Plenty of parking. The inside is super spacious and plenty of sitting. This is probably the best buffet I have gone to in years. They do senior and military discounts as well. Another thing to note is they have these private rooms you can rent out for special events that have tvs that you can do karaoke in! The staff were kind and accommodating.

Absolutely perfect! The place was open and clean and full of people. We had a party of 7 people and even though the wait time was 15-20 minutes, they called us in about 6 minutes. Tables were close but not crowded. Servers were constantly cleaning, clearing plates and restocking food. There were so many food options in the buffet and the hibachi was fabulous. Food was fresh and delicious. Servers were very helpful and quick. This is a much needed new food option in Vallejo and definitely worth the wait.

    Mussels and clams

I came in around 3 PM, and a lot of the food was already cold. Some of the dishes were bland and lacked flavor. I was also disappointed with the seafood selection. Instead of serving regular crab legs, they had tiny whole baby crabs that had almost no meat. The restaurant has a good variety of food, but the quality and freshness could definitely be improved, especially later in the afternoon. I expected better for the price.

    Judy L.

For $26.50 p/p not impressed! Clean place since it is new. The discount you get is basically offset the service fee but then you didn't really get serve either. LOL Food is ok just like all other standard Chinese Buffett I had and how could you not have crab legs for the $$. Pho flavor is very light. I don't have a problem paying such price but quality needs an upgrade. I wanted to do 3.5stars but don't know how. That's why is 4stars FYI-you should change sales tax rate you're collecting before you end up paying the shortage during CDTFA filing. Hahaha

Newer Asian buffet located in the same Plaza near Seafood City and Bank of America in Vallejo. This used to be the old Dollar Store. So the facilities, table, and establishment are new and still in good condition. There was a discount when they first opened up, huge area and a private room area. Perfect for parties and large gatherings, for parties they give you tickets you use for your guests to enter. They save a salad bar, dessert bar, ice cream cups, drinks, some pizza and pasta, and Asian cuisine. I noticed it was more so on the shrimp side of dishes, they have shrimp boil, some dim sim, a Mongolian bbq grill, a pho station, and a sushi station. For the price I think it's decent. My elderly parents enjoy coming here and the variety. But my brother is vegetarian and I didn't see that many vegetarian and vegan friendly items. The staff working the front were very friendly and those bussing the dishes. We went on a weekday early afternoon for dinner for a reception. Since it's located in a plaza there's plenty of parking but it isn't the best or safest area so don't leave anything in your cars and be vigilant of your surroundings, especially the elderly.

On my first day in Vallejo, I tried another Vietnamese restaurant across town, and it was such a disappointment that I almost swore off Vietnamese food in Vallejo altogether. Being from Sacramento, where we're fortunate to have some of the best Vietnamese food in California, my expectations are pretty high when it comes to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I arrived about five minutes before closing because of traffic, and even though they were already past their closing time, they still welcomed me in, took my order, and treated me with kindness. That level of hospitality is rare and greatly appreciated. I ordered the cơm tấm with shrimp, egg, and grilled meat, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. The meat was flavorful and tender, the shrimp was grilled perfectly, and the egg had a soft yolk that tied the whole dish together. It tasted exactly like the authentic Vietnamese food I grew up eating with my family. Every bite brought back memories of home. The cherry on top was finding out that the restaurant is family-owned and operated. When I visited, it was a father and son working together, helping customers and running the restaurant with genuine care. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. I plan on continuing to spend time in Vallejo, and I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.
