My fiancée and I went to Manny's Steakhouse in Vallejo for a small anniversary dinner. The waterfront view and sunset were beautiful but the service started off rough. We waited about 15-17 minutes without being greeted, offered water, or acknowledged, even though it wasn't very crowded. I finally spoke with Giovanni, not realizing he was one of the owners. He immediately apologized and personally took care of us for the rest of the evening. He was professional, respectful, friendly, and treated us like two queens. He even offered us complimentary dessert. The food was tasty. I had the ribeye, baked potato, vegetables, and salad, while my fiancée had the fettuccine Alfredo. My steak was flavorful, although a little more well-done than the medium I requested. Giovanni saved the experience. The newer staff definitely need more training in attentiveness and hospitality, but we'll be back for the food, beautiful waterfront atmosphere and Giovanni's excellent service. read more

I had a very concerning experience at Manny's Steakhouse on August 29, 2026, around 2:00 p.m. My husband and I ordered the calamari, and it tasted old and not fresh. Our server told us that three other customers had complained about it, yet it continued to be served. She notified the manager, but the manager never came to our table to apologize or address the situation. Later that day, I developed severe stomach pain, broke out in a cold sweat, and had to be taken to Kaiser Hospital. My blood pressure was very low, I vomited at the hospital, and I needed IV fluids to stabilize me. The illness also triggered a painful kidney-stone flare-up. My doctor confirmed that consuming the old calamari caused my illness. This was a frightening medical emergency. I am extremely disappointed that the calamari was reportedly still being served after several customers complained and that management never checked on us. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously, investigates its food-handling procedures, and ensures this does not happen to anyone else. read more

One of the best priced and most consistent steak and lobster plates in Northern Cali. I'd give them 5 stars if all the smaller things also hit the same spot. Desserts are highly questionable. Salad dressing options are all No real ranch or balsamic etc options worth having. Often send out old and re heated bread. Pork chop is one of the best around as well. But order a side of their honey soy something type sauce to go with the kimchi sauce they serve with it. Pork chop compares otherwise too places like MUSTARDS napa valley. They really need to begin at the bare minimum making in house RANCH... And not running out of habanero sauce every time I ask for it. Still have not actually tried it. I did a pick-up order from Manny's via DoorDash. The order was ready before the estimate and was packed in nice large containers. For example, often a steak will be packed separately from the sides. In this case they had large plastic to go containers that was able to hold the steak and the sides (like baked potatoes and veggies). Nice brown bags as well. Now back to the food. I ordered a ribeye, two New York steaks, lamb chops and scallops. I had various sides (veggies, baked potatoes, garlic mash). All of the meat had a nice cross hatch grill marks on them. I ordered everything medium rare and 2 of 3 steaks were there with 1 at a med/medium well (a ny steak). I think the medium one was actually an 8oz, so maybe the larger pieces are more consistent. I was actually surprised because steak temp is really hard to get done right for to go, so 2/3 isn't bad. The steaks tasted good, good flavor and tenderness (except for the medium one). The veggies were really solid (carrots green beans brussel sprouts), potatoes options were good too. Lamb chops were solid and the scallops had a nice crust. It's definitely not a fancy steakhouse or anything. The food is what I would expect eating at like a Red Lobster and I would say the prices are similar as well. It's nice that it's by the water. Always great here! I realized I haven't reviewed in a long time since right before they moved to the waterfront. Anyway, the service is always great it feels like home from the moment you walk in. The bar area is fun if you b just want to go for drinks and to meet friendly locals. They put in booths along the windows recently and that is a great addition. We went to Manny's Steakhouse for a special occasion. We wanted to stay close to home but have a nice dinner. We were seated at a window booth overlooking the Vallejo waterway. We had a great server who was kind and provided us with great choices. We had an appetizer of Steak Fries, which would be large enough as a meal in its self. I had a New York Strip steak with sides of Mac & Cheese and seasonal vegetables. It was cooked just right and was too large to finish at the restaurant. Good experience but get there early if you want a window seat since it gets busy as the evening moves along. Solid steakhouse on the waterfront in Vallejo. Spacious restaurant, plenty of parking available and you can't go wrong with a nice view. Even though they were busy, we were greeted upon arrival and seated right away. It didn't take us long to decide what we wanted and our orders came out right away. We tried the steak salad, steak fries, house salad and sliders. As far as service goes, the staff were super friendly, but not very attentive. It took a long time to get their attention. I took my mom here for lunch. She comes here often but this was my first time at Manny's. Their view of the bay is so relaxing and beautiful! The service was fantastic! I truly felt welcomed when we were there, and the staff made sure to check on us often. We both had the Filet Mignon which was cooked to absolute perfection!!! I'm not a big eater of beef but if I could have steak made this way I would literally eat it every single day. The garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables were also fantastic. Just realized I've never written a review for Manny's -- which is wild considering we've been patrons since before they were even on Springs Rd, back when Manny's was a catering service. We've watched this business grow over the years, and it's been well earned. This visit was a last-minute weeknight dinner at the tail end of peak hours. Business was steady, but there was zero wait. Our waitress, Nicole, came by promptly for drinks, and since we were ready, she was just as ready to take our order. We started with the fried calamari, and honestly -- this is what prompted the review. Tonight's calamari was one of the best we've had here in a long time. Light airy batter, not overdone, perfectly fried, and well seasoned. In the past, it's been hit or miss (sometimes too heavy or tough), but tonight it was exactly how calamari should be. While we usually lean towards their aioli, tonight the cocktail sauce with just the right kick of horseradish was the perfect condiment. For mains, I ordered the lemon pepper chicken wings from the appetizer menu as my entrée, along with a side salad. Whoever was working the fryer tonight was clearly on their A-game -- the wings were fried just right and seasoned perfectly, matching the execution of the calamari. The side salad deserves credit too: not just basic mixed greens, but plenty of cucumbers, tomatoes, and julienned carrots. And thank you for offering ranch dressing that isn't runny and flavorless. My husband went with the ribeye, clam chowder, and mixed vegetables. The ribeye was cooked exactly as requested -- medium rare. It could've used a touch more seasoning, but it was still delicious; next time he'll add the garlic butter. The clam chowder was good, though we wouldn't complain about more clams and fewer potatoes. The mixed vegetables were basic -- fine, but nothing memorable. Service was great. Nicole was warm, friendly, and attentive -- checking in regularly and keeping our iced teas and water refilled without us needing to ask. All in all, this last-minute dinner had zero regrets. I said I would be back and I did! I got the exact same thing like last time, the Asian Steak garlic noodles. I would like a likely more garlic in mines, but I am a super garlic fan. This was our first visit to Manny's Steakhouse and it will certainly not be our last! We were in Vallejo for a celebration. Afterwards we wanted to eat, looked online for a restaurant on the waterfront, and found Manny's. We were probably over dressed, but this place can handle casual or dressy attire, and the location on the water is heavenly. Our server, Monsa(?) was friendly and attentive. The food was AMAZING! My husband ordered the chilean sea bass with garlic potatoes & veggies & I ordered a rack of lamb with veggies. When the plates came out, I looked at his plate & thought there was a huge biscuit on it - but that was the sea bass, and it was cooked to perfection! Flaky, not overdone, and tasting like lobster! My lamb was also cooked to perfection and practically melted in my mouth. The veggies were grilled perfectly - tasty & tender-crunchy, well seasoned but not salty. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who will be in Vallejo, looking for somewhere to eat. We live about 20 miles away, but we plan to make it a point to eat here at least once monthly. we visited Manny's back when they were on Spring Rd. and obviously followed them to the waterfront. Manny's is a pleasant and welcoming place to eat and drink. The help are freindly and accomadating, the bartenders make a good drink. We love the scallops dish and the steak salad and a few other items on the menu. the Bar area is where I like to sit for all the fun but my wife likes to sit in the booths to look out into the waterfront and Mare Island...I do too, it is a wonderful view. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but my experience at Manny's Steakhouse was disappointing enough that I felt it was worth sharing. This was my first visit, and I was genuinely looking forward to trying what appeared to be a well-established restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from the moment we walked in. The entrance had a strong odor of urine, which made for a very unpleasant first impression. We then waited at the hostess stand for a table for two. One hostess with orange hair looked over at us several times from across the restaurant but never came to greet or seat us. After standing there waiting, I eventually had to walk over and ask for a table myself. Thankfully, the other hostess who helped us was polite and welcoming, but the initial lack of attention set a poor tone for the evening. The biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered the steak sandwich cooked medium, but it arrived extremely undercooked. One half appeared close to medium, while the other half was warm, nearly purple in the center, and clearly not cooked as requested. The grilled onions were cold, and both halves of the bottom bun were completely soaked with grease, to the point that it couldn't even be eaten as the "handheld" sandwich it was advertised to be. I didn't send it back because I had already eaten one half before noticing how undercooked the other half was. At that point, I had lost my appetite. Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience I've personally had. I've overlooked mistakes at other restaurants before and never felt the need to leave a negative review, but this experience was different. I won't be returning, and I'd encourage anyone dining here to check that their food is cooked to the temperature they requested before digging in. read more

Batter was thick fish was over cooked and dry and didn't even come with the malt vinegar or tauter sauce . Fries tasted like old grease. I don't know anymore about this place lol . My first impression I gave them a chance for a decent experience . It's clear as day this is not a real steak house . Just had an AMAZING meal at Mannys. We'd never been here before but we were looking for a steak and we found the place. First our server, Katelyn, rocked! Hubby is on chemo and can't have anything cold and she was so helpful. She really loves this place. She told us the food is made from scratch. Which brings up the food. Clam chowder was on point with tasty herbs and lots of clams. The garlic bread was killer. We both got surf and turf-I highly recommend! Nothing could be improved. Just had my reservation, made over a month ago while having lunch there, for Thanksgiving canceled. No explanation. No we're sorry. Just a cold cancellation that by its nature said "We don't care about you or your business". I won't make another reservation there given that they are not reliable. I won't be back. I'll choose another place that can be relied upon to have the schedule right in advance. A simple explanation or at the least apology for the inconvenience would have demonstrated a minimum level of customer service. The cold-hearted email I got failed 100%. read more

I had the cowboy burger, and maybe had a little too much sauce but what really stood out was the quality of the beef. It was really good. So I'll probably have a different burger.
