We loved our steak sandwich here, which we ordered with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sandwich came with a healthy amount of arugula, all seasoned very well. The fries were super crispy but not over-fried! They have a Thai chili hot sauce and a dark berry habanero hot sauce made in house. Hubby and I have been coming here on Sundays after church service. We like to share our orders. This time we shared the Fall hash skillet with sweet potato, chicken apple sausage onions and cheese with spinach along with a churro waffle. I also got their coffee which was so good. I think they have outdoor seating too so during the summer it would be nice to sit outside and have some breakfast. We came in and were promptly seated. My friend ordered the chilaquiles and I ordered the rancheros with carnitas. We also ordered the churro waffle to split. The huevos rancheros with carnitas was really good! A great and cute local joint that has a wonderful selection of food. I usually always come in for breakfast and it's also quick and delicious. The service is great and they always bring out the array of salsas which are a great pairing with their dishes. Their steak and eggs is probably my favorite of all the things I've tried. The steak is always so tender and the potato's are yum with the homemade salsas. The chimmichuri sauce is always a great addition as well. Okay, in fairness I've probably had the Ranchero Carnitas most times, and it's ! My wife has had the omelette and tacos and she loved both. I love walking in here, you're not just greeted - you're welcomed. Our service was excellent and they told us we each made great choices - she especially highlighted the breakfast burrito. Valentina's is a small family owned breakfast/lunch spot with a very unique item that everyone should know about. It's called the Churro Waffle and if you love churros or cinnamon or likely both this item will have you over the moon. The chilaquiles, a sort of breakfast nachos, are flavorful and come in red or green chili versions. The breakfast burrito while not traditional is packed with an even distribution of meat, eggs and veggies. The one thing I would improve is the accompanying salsa. It was not hot enough for my taste. I like a good salsa but I am not much for adding hot sauce to things. They offer a variety of hot sauces to add as you like. Finally the coffee. I am someone who loves very strong coffee and it's rare that a restaurant makes strong coffee to my taste. Val's doesn't make strong coffee but it's strong enough that I really enjoyed it. There are less than a handful of breakfast spots in wine country that makes coffee I can drink. Valentina's is one of them. The service was fast and frendly. I always love coming here. The food is always great and the staff is nice. I would say one of the reasons I didn't fully give it 5 stars was because the service is a bit slow. I understand I came here on a weekend brunch and it's packed, but I think they would benefit from adding an extra server especially for this busy time. The Chilaquiles were excellent, fresh, vibrant, and perfectly executed, easily the highlight of the morning. The menu offered a wide variety of Eggs Benedict styles, which was impressive, but I opted to try the traditional ham version. While it was presented well, the execution fell a bit short. The English muffin was slightly burnt, which unfortunately carried through the flavor profile and overshadowed the Hollandaise sauce. This took away from the richness and balance one expects in a classic Benedict, which was disappointing given the potential. That said, the overall experience was very positive. The range of choices on the menu, particularly the creative Benedict options, suggests there is more to explore. We will certainly be back again for breakfast, and next time I will branch out to try something else from the menu or one of the other Benedict variations to see how the kitchen's creativity shines. read more

Add in their Churro Waffle and you have the perfect coffee break/ dessert! PSA: Skip Starbucks if you can wait until 8am for coffee. It's worth the wait. For breakfast we had Chorizo Potato Tacos with Eggs and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. As an individual who is fairly involved in the community, I think it's important that we recognize those specific individuals and companies that look to put other people's needs before their own. VK is one of those companies and both Blanca and David are those kind of people. Not only do they do their best to purchase the best ingredients and present their food with high visual aesthetics in every meal they prepare, but they also look for ways to give back to the community. Valentinas Kitchen recently catered a teacher staff luncheon at our local school. Not only was the food very tasty and delicious, but both Blanca and David went above and beyond to make sure that the options they provided were at their desired standard of quality versus a cheap easy way to make a profit. As a coordinator of this event, I was very appreciative of the effort and care that went into this process to ensure that our awesome teachers at our local school were taking care of at this event. When you visit this restaurant, you will see that every meal they prepare is given the same attention that we experienced at this event. The coffee was good, the service great and the food delicious! My party and I enjoyed our meal here so much that we returned the next day! They have some of the best fries I've had-nice and crispy exterior. Other fried veggies are also on the menu but they do have seasonal veggies that are not on the menu so if interested, make sure to inquire! We shared fish tacos that I would normally shy away from for fear the fish will be dry from overlooking or otherwise a let-down. These were amazing good! We also ordered the burger with added egg on top-fantastic recommendation! The spinach salad was perfect-loved the cheese and strawberries in it! The interior seating is a bit cramped since the venue is narrow with one wall of tables across from an open cooking station. They do have seatingvin front and I THINK in the rear, but we didnt go check that out! My friend likes to note bathroom cleanliness and gave that a plus! I'm here with an update for one purpose only and that's to comment on how terrible the blonde owner or manager is towards her waitresses and cooks: the food remains great as it did during my first review and I've been back like 3 other times but every-time I have gone back I witnessed her being extremely hostile to her workers, yelling at them in front of other customers in a terrible tone. I understand the restaurant world is a fast paced environment but there's ways of speaking to people. I felt so bad for our poor waitress who was extremely nice to us and all her tables.
