    The surrounding resort property

My friend and I came here on a beautiful day, and the patio dining was unmatched. Overlooking the grounds of the Stanly Ranch Resort, the Bear restaurant served up the perfect ambiance for a casual yet elegant brunch. Service was friendly and generally attentive. The pace was perfect where we never felt rushed. I am unsure about their day-to-day menu, as on this Saturday all that is offered our brunch menu items. We opted to share the prosciutto toast and the smoked salmon benedict. My friend also ordered a mocktail. Everything is presented beautifully, however, I wouldn't say that it is at the top of my list of brunch spots for flavors. The food was all a little bit saltier and more tart than I would prefer. Nothing we ordered would be something I would choose again. Separately, we were celebrating my birthday, and a nice card and the tiniest of ice cream scoop was presented at the end. You may want to capture some outdoor photos after your meal although there aren't a lot of varying photo spots around the property as everything is pretty similar from every angle that you stand. However, you can still get some decent landscape shots of the property especially on a beautiful sunny day.

My husband and I stayed at Stanly Ranch for my birthday/easter weekend and decided to try Bear! We had our dog with us so we sat outside. It was a beautiful view of the property from our seats. The food was sooo good! The Kampachi was very refreshing especially paired with the crispy rice. The sourdough bread was made in house and is also something you need to try. For entrees, we had scallops and quail and those dishes were delicious. Pro tip: if there are no reservations online, you can ask the front desk if you're staying at the hotel and they can potentially find a table for you! Also don't skip on the sourdough bread, crispy rice, and kampachi. It's a great starter for the table.

I had high expectations for Bear at Stanley Ranch. While the brunch was great, the dinner really fell flat for us. The menu leans heavily into Asian fusion, and the execution felt a little forced. The crispy rice came highly recommended, but it was honestly nothing memorable. We also ordered the highly recommended peppercorn short rib, which was $100 for two people. Portion-wise it was plenty of food, but the ssam-style presentation felt unnecessary and didn't really elevate the dish. At that price point, I expected something a bit more cohesive and refined. The remainder of the meal (salad and small dishes) were fine, with the tartare with sunchoke being the highlight. I appreciated the fresh local produce used, but would have loved if the menu highlighted what actually came from the Stanley Ranch gardens that day. The biggest issue was that the Asian influence didn't feel particularly authentic or intentional. It might work better if the kitchen either brought in a chef with a stronger background in those flavors or simply leaned more into what California cuisine already does well.

I was so excited to have finally tried Bear at Stanly Ranch and what better time than to celebrate than for our daughter's first birthday and 10 years wedding anniversary! I found Bear online and immediately fell in love with the aesthetics, its warm wooden textures and modern style- I just love the interior/exterior of this restaurant! Good vibes all around, indeed! Driving up to the restaurant, you feel like you're deep in a secluded area of Napa but in reality you are well within Napa's city limit. This illusion of escaping the busy hustle and bustle life is exactly the feeling you'll get if you visit Stanly Ranch. Bear's menu is nothing short of organic and fresh, which are the two worlds that come to mind. Their items are fresh, vibrant and out right gorgeous (peep my pictures!) ;)

Great experience with Rebecca at brunch serving us celebrating our anniversary and I'm glad we chose this place as it was close to our hotel. The property is amazingly beautiful and the food is excellent. Food isn't as good as the Bay Area at this price point though but service made up for it. Everyone was amazing but Rebecca was really good. Even after the service she was very friendly when we ran into her outside and we felt genuine kindness. She got huge splashes of champagne (more like a pour) which was generously on the house for celebration and she helped us take nice photos for remembrance. Loved the cocktail as it was well balanced like she promised and the lavender didn't overpower. Wife likes the oysters which she never does because It's never fresh enough as she's comparing to straight from the water but she really liked these. The chips were house made and unique flavors with large purple potatoes taste almost like fried seaweed. The main courses were lesser than the beginning of the meal but we still enjoyed our time. The veggie menu Egg Benedict was boring and bland and could have been way better. Wish I choose something else but many other options. The focaccia in the tomato dish was good but not ecstatically so like I've had in the past. The sourdough ice cream was fancy but not as good as I thought it would be. It was still excellent but I was hoping for sourdough bread flavors. It was more cheesecake-like which was nice.

Outstanding service from start to finish. While this restaurant is part of a resort, the food is genuinely impressive and that's not something you typically find in a hotel-style setting. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the dishes felt thoughtful and unique, and the drinks were crafted with real purpose (and a few delightful surprises) including in house made chicken broth. What really stood out was the communication between the staff -- seamless, attentive, and professional without ever feeling overbearing. Everything flowed effortlessly. If you're nearby, I strongly recommend stopping in. Elevated, tapas-style dining done right.

Farm vegetables, sourdough, miyagi oysters, half chicken

This is such an amazing and cute restaurant! Our favorites of the evening were absolutely the farm vegetables and the half chicken. For vegetable lovers, the farm vegetables are a must-order. They were complemented so well with the miso dip. The half chicken was surprisingly tender, and the sauce was flavorful and almost addicting. The only major drawback was an issue with server hygiene. I observed the server at the host stand use her finger to scrape food from between her teeth twice, immediately before leading us to our table and handing us the menus. This was quite off-putting and definitely impacted the start of the experience.

Stumbled on this place as we were just arriving to the area-and glad we did. It's part of the bougie Auberge property that houses residences, the beautiful hotel, and the fabulous Stanly Ranch grounds. Super cute ambiance and decorated well for fall. Told them it was my birthday and they included a little birthday card. Drinks: Enjoyed their Petunia, a pineapple, lemon, and Whistlepig 6 year bourbon. A heavy-hitter but a easy to drink. Starters: The Miyagi oysters are a smaller West Coast oyster, similar to Kumamotos, which I enjoyed. People rave about the crispy rice with nuoc cham, and for good reason. Topped with fresh herbs, a flavor bomb sauce, and that crunchy exterior-def a must try. Mains: The Pesto Cavatelli with chantrelles and pepitas was a satisfying pasta dish, while the Sea Bass was a nice, light entree, coupled with the broccolini. All in all a great experience and would return.

Wow! This is a relatively new farm-to-table restaurant nestled in Stanly Ranch, that appears to be a new home development with several shops. Gavel, a nice coffee store, was our first stop. We talked with the on-premise farmer about his work with herbs and vegetables and complimented him on probably the best broccolini we have tasted. The fresh vegetable medley was excellently served in a wood cork bowl with a nice dip. There were vegetables we have never seen like a Cucamelon which looked like a half-inch watermelon and had a cucumber taste. They actually grow this summer delicacy on the property. The apple-nut-Apple pancake was a nice brunch addition. And then there was the side bowl of mixed berries The service was great. They have a nice patio that we didn't try. This is a definite must try for us. We will be back for dinner.

Wow, what an amazing experience we had at Bear! Located within the Auberge at Stanly Ranch this property and restaurant are absolutely beautiful. Food was delicious, with the White Sea bass and Crispy Rice starter being the standout. Service was lovely and attentive. Great cocktails as well. Think our one complaint to no fault of the restaurants' was outdoor dining with little to no breeze meant lots of flies around us!!! They were kind enough to bring those bug fans for the table, but it was definitely a bit bothersome. Again, not their fault so still a stunning experience and lunch and would love to come back here in the future.

Came here for my wife's bday on a Saturday morning. Beautiful setting, upscale, ton of natural lighting, open floor concept. We were checked in and seated indoors in the corner. The menu was simple and easy to follow. Mostly standard brunch dishes and options. After 5-7 minutes of being seated, there was no server to greet us. After scanning the room, there were people standing around chatting and others doing downtime activities like folding napkins. I finally got up to ask the bus person on who our server was, he went to go find "him" in which a young lady by the name of Yalitza came to help. She took our drink orders. She then initially just brought out one coffee which my wife ordered. We had to remind her that I also ordered a coffee in which she went back to go grab it. We ordered the biscuit, shakshuka, salmon benedict, wagyu burger and the chicken cold noodles. The biscuit was our starter and was one of the best biscuits I've ever had. Perfect texture, buttery, fluffy and went perfect with the butter and jam. Our entrees came out afterward and I immediately had a feeling that my burger was not going to be cooked enough based on our experience at this place so far. My feelings were confirmed once I cut open into my burger. I ordered it medium and the center was completely raw. Disappointed, I went ahead and sent it back and declined for them to remake it, not being confident that the food won't be correct and/or compromised. My friends were generous enough to share their plates and I had an opportunity to taste the rest. The shakshuka was pretty good, it had the right spices and the sausage was a nice addition. The Benedict was spot on. The chicken cold noodles lacked flavor and saltiness. Overall the food was pretty good but the service and execution of my dish fell flat which was disappointed coming from a place like this. I will not return and hope they tighten things up for future visitors. They did take care of the drinks and "removed" the burger that I did not eat.. management came to address the issue but I was already too disappointed after this point.

wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent visit to Bear at Stanly Ranch. We make it a point to dine here whenever we visit Napa. During this visit, we ordered several dishes, including the farm salad, pasta, chicken strips, kampachi, and roast chicken. While we found the meal to be pleasant overall, I wanted to especially highlight the farm salad. It was exceptional, and you can truly taste that the ingredients were freshly picked from the farm.

This Napa Valley gem is a true find! From the secluded vineyard setting to the rustic-chic restaurant, every detail creates an exceptional experience. We loved sipping drinks on the patio as the sun set - the views were absolutely breathtaking. The calm, tranquil ambiance made it perfect for a date night, and our waitress was incredibly attentive, keeping our glasses full.

Service: We had the privilege of having Dwight be our server this afternoon. He was an absolute gem who loves his job, and loves what he does. He explained to us the specials, and some of the dishes he liked; he was a big help! We settled on a few things: the chicken wings (a MUST-HAVE; they are smoked first --- then fried; then tossed in a bit of a sweet seasoning --- it hits all the taste buds!). We also got the sweet potatoes --- good, nothing to write mom about. In addition, I had to get the famous Mongolian Porkchops. Dwight suggested to get it medium (I was a bit apprehensive --- it is pork), but always "trust the chef". So I did. My meal was EXCELLENT. The porkchop was perfectly grilled with some charred bits, and the meat was tender and juicy. Thank you Dwight for your suggestion! All-in-all, Mustards Grill is a MUST if you're ever staying in the Napa Valley. They received a Michelin Star in 2025, and if you try their food, you can clearly see why. Perfectly seasoned, and the homemade ketchup was delightful. The portion was large, but we had no problem finishing them because they were excellent. I had the veggie tostada. It had a good spicy kick that I really enjoyed. I am not sure if it was the salsa or the California chilies (red jalapeños) that gave it that heat. It was a letdown since we came for hubby's birthday and had been wanting to try it for over a year since the last time we were here. Guess we'll have to try again another time. We still decided to sit at the bar. You can either order à la carte from that day's offerings or do the set menu. Thanks to the group next to us, we found out you can also order just the sides if you don't want the main. The main that day was a pork dish with a jalapeno cheddar polenta, but we skipped it since we thought you had to order the whole thing and were already getting the fried chicken add-on. Luckily, we were able to order just the jalapeño cheddar polenta side which was very delicious. Sadly, I think we've officially given up on the fried chicken. I really wanted to like it since everyone seems to rave about it, but it just wasn't for me. The coating was beautifully crisp, but overall it tasted pretty bland and lacked flavor. The hot sauce bottles definitely helped and kind of saved it. The bartender brought out bottles for everyone. Interestingly, the last time we tried the fried chicken (a few years ago), we weren't offered hot sauce at all. The bartender mentioned they've always had it, which makes me think our server back then just didn't bring it out. I remember that visit too, we came for a Friday lunch, sat on the patio (we were the only ones out there), and still weren't offered any. The chicken was also bland back then. That said, the bartender was a nice kid, friendly and welcoming. He said normally he's a server but that day he was at the bar so I'll definitely look out for him again and request him. For drinks, I had a Diet Coke, which comes in a can. Since they're doing cans, I do wish they offered Coke Zero as well since I'm not really a Diet Coke person, but I also didn't want to just stick with water or iced tea with my meal. It was our first time sitting at the bar, and we really enjoyed the experience. I'd definitely sit at the bar again. Ordering à la carte also worked out better for us, especially since dessert that day was a chocolate mousse and I'm not a big chocolate dessert person. We still got one since it was hubby's birthday, and they brought it out with a candle, which was a cute touch. It was $10 and perfect to share, getting a second one just for me would've been a waste.

The brunch menu was right up my alley--delicious bites, tasty libations, and happy taste buds all around. RH isn't just a meal; it's an experience. Beautiful vibes, amazing food, and the perfect excuse to treat yourself. You really can't go wrong!

Love the specials menu too. My faves are the western burger, ahi tuna tacos, garlic, sweet potato fries with the aioli and of course, the delicious ice cream and milkshakes. Great quality, friendly service, and indoor and outdoor seating. Ample napkins, ketchup available. Ambiance is clean and casual. Prices equate to upscale fast food.

I've seen them around I've had their garlic fries when I've had the craving but I've never really ordered anything else. This time I ordered the Vietnamese chicken salad and chili cheese fries on the side. My date ordered the California burger and sweet potato fries. When we got our food, my date said, she should have ordered the salad that looks so good. You know what? It was bomb! Super flavorful and refreshing. It made everything else taste bland or maybe it was bland, not the salad though. I would come back for the salad. The chili had no flavor, my date said her burger didn't have any flavor and she regretted choosing it. I don't normally like sweet potato fries but they were good from here.
