George & Kins feels centered around the idea that modern coastal dining should balance elevated cooking with comfort and approachability. The restaurant creates a brunch experience that feels polished without becoming overly formal, using thoughtful ingredients and strong culinary technique to make familiar dishes feel refined. Every plate on the table reflected that philosophy -- rich flavors balanced by freshness, texture, and carefully layered ingredients. The French toast immediately stood out as one of the highlights of the meal. Thick cut and perfectly caramelized on the outside, it stayed soft and custard-like in the center while still maintaining structure and texture. French toast has existed for centuries across many cultures and originally developed as a practical way to repurpose stale bread by soaking it in a rich egg custard before cooking. Today, technique is what separates a great version from an average one, and this one absolutely nailed the balance between crispness, richness, and sweetness. The powdered sugar and whipped cream elevated the dish without overpowering the buttery flavor of the toast itself. The omelette was equally impressive and showcased another side of the restaurant's brunch concept. Omelettes may seem simple, but they're actually one of the clearest indicators of kitchen technique because eggs require careful control of heat and timing to achieve the ideal texture. This version was soft, fluffy, and layered with melted cheddar that added richness throughout the dish. The corn inside the omelette brought subtle sweetness and texture that balanced the savory ingredients beautifully. Corn is often used in modern brunch and coastal cuisine because its natural sweetness pairs especially well with creamy eggs, sharp cheeses, and fresh herbs, helping create contrast without overpowering the dish. The salmon added richness and depth while still feeling clean and balanced rather than overly heavy. Salmon is a staple in coastal cuisine because of its buttery texture and high natural fat content, allowing it to pair especially well with eggs and fresh herbs. The herbs over the top brightened the dish and added freshness, while the crisp toast underneath created another layer of texture and structure. Alongside the omelette, the pickled vegetables played an important role by adding acidity and crunch. In culinary terms, acidic components help refresh the palate and prevent richer dishes from feeling overwhelming, which made the entire plate feel especially balanced. The miso soup and slaw added even more contrast across the table. Miso soup, traditionally made from fermented soybean paste, is known for its deep umami flavor and nourishing simplicity. The tofu and greens kept the broth light and clean, balancing the richer brunch dishes perfectly. The slaw added crunch, freshness, and another layer of acidity that tied everything together naturally. What George & Kins does particularly well is create a brunch experience that feels experiential rather than rushed. The restaurant clearly understands that great dining is about more than individual dishes -- it's about balance across the table, atmosphere, hospitality, and creating a meal people genuinely remember. Every plate felt thoughtfully composed, and together the dishes captured what makes modern brunch culture so enjoyable: elevated comfort food, fresh ingredients, strong technique, and an atmosphere that encourages people to slow down and enjoy the experience.

Quality/Quantity - Welcome to Napa. A new business that just replaced Heritage Eats. Guess I am too slow, or the Yelp community is just too fast in writing their reviews. I uploaded my pictures on 4/3/26 and now finally writing my review... Well, if you are following, you know I have started my travels again. Anyway, the simple menu was done well. Food made fresh and from scratch. Breakfast is served all day. Ambiance - Small to decent size location. I think the outdoor space is as large as the indoor space...? Open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable, see the pictures of their menu. Owner Comment - Congrats on your new location and being in the business for the last 10+ years.

Went 2 times in one day since there were so many items on the menu that looked delicious! We love an all day breakfast! It was quite busy (as we went on a Saturday), but they have both indoor and outdoor seating so we didn't worry too much about figuring out where to sit. They were only open for about a few weeks when we went so they were still figuring some things out, but all the staff were so incredibly nice and helpful! Drinks ordered: Carrot Juice (large): it was delicious, but I thought it would be more as it was the large size. I think the fact that the glass wasn't full made it seem like a lot less. Cold brew: a classic and not too watered down nor acidic Lemonade: it wasn't bad but I would rather get more carrot juice instead Food ordered: Big Apple XL Cinnamon Bun: I am obsessed with this and have not stopped thinking about this since I last had it! I love the bread they used and how thick the icing is! I will be returning for this for sure! George's Big Morning: It truly is a proper breakfast!! I love their style of pancake, but everything else was a classic breakfast. The Farmer Breakfast: a smaller version of the big morning (without the pancake) but this was perfect as I basically inhaled the cinnamon bun myself. George's Jumbo Juicy Burger: Diabolical how good this burger was!! The melted cheese, the juiciness of the patty was PERFECTION. Curry Udon: I liked the potato foam but their curry isn't sweet like the japanese curry I was expecting. It was good, but very heavy. I preferred the burger over the udon. Mom's Mile High Lemon Meringue: I am a sucker for anything lemon and this did not disappoint! The meringue was definitely piled high but I also liked the sweetness level! Definitely will be returning as I still have more menu items I want to try and need another cinnamon bun for sure!

My foodie friend read about George + Kin's Diner in Napa in SF Eater and asked if I wanted to go on a weekday. I'm always game so we Ubered an hour North to try George + Kin's. Decor: amazing. Ambiance: bright, airy, cute, slightly kitschy but not tacky. Welcoming. Like a hug. There's also quite a bit of outdoor seating. Service: wonderful. Helpful. Kind. Refilled my water. Loved my friend's dog (the cutest, most well-behaved pom.) They brought him out a clean water bowl! Food: My expectations were high and I felt the food was only good, not great. The high expectations were not met. Portions were large. The fresh house-made carrot juice was very good. I enjoyed my fresh corn and scallion omelette and added on sausage. My friend enjoyed her Farmers' Breakfast but it felt like slightly elevated diner food. However, that is kind-of the point! There's some Japanese-American-inspired touches, but they're subtle. The accompanying toast to my omelette seemed to be milk bread? It was unclear but the bread was indeed delicious. I honestly expected prices to be higher. It made for a nice day trip before we hopped to a winery. Honestly not sure if I'd be back given how many places I haven't tried in Napa (and how often I go up there--not too often!) However I didn't realize it was only an hours' drive away...

Attended the opening day and enjoyed the entire experience! The service was amazing and spent time talking to the owner and learned about the story of the diner. I love Cobb salads so really wanted to try there's.. and it was amazing! I enjoyed the 50's and 60's music as well. Definitely going back!

    French Toast
    Imelda R.

French toast was 1/8 of loaf which was very generous portion! Beautiful sourdough taste and syrup was "light " which I favor. I love the homage to owners grandparents. Place has great energy; bustling children and adults- family friendly. I'd return with my elementary best friend just because it's just that kind of place - "feel good". Plus I love supporting good local eats in my town.

Eggplant Parm with swiss chard and garlic bread on the side
    Bella L.

Wow! Love the new concept! We needed a diner like restaurant here in Napa. I had the eggplant parm and carrot bread which were both fresh and delicious! Portion size is also very generous. Even though you order at the counter then find a seat, I really love how there was someone who helped us secure a table. There is indoor & covered outdoor seating. Plenty of parking in the Bel Aire shopping center. Can't wait to try other dishes!

    Chocolate chip pancakes
    Karina R.

Cute new place, with good food. They open at 8am and we got there about 20 after 8 and the line was out the door, probably cause it's new but the wait was about 20 minutes to place order, this is one of those order first and sit down after places. Ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, banana walnut pancakes and the kids breakfast. I underestimated how fluffy these pancakes would be, my fault I didn't notice the picture on the menu advertising them cause they were big! I will say though that the chocolate chip pancakes have an up charge of $2 and they had about ten chocolate chips on them (no chocolate chips inside) so that was disappointing. The banana walnut pancakes were good but the caramelized walnuts did have a bit of a burnt caramel taste. The kids breakfast was good, my son shared some of his food with me and the eggs wee fluffy and hash brown was perfectly crispy. Staff were friendly, and I got refills on my coffee two times during our visit. All in all I would try again and maybe just try other options.

smashburger with side of tallow fries
    Aileen L.

I came by George + Kin's Diner during the soft opening and was welcomed warmly by everyone I met there. The ambiance is super cozy, homey and comforting, and I loved the decorations and small touches like the order numbers being photos of the family. I ordered the smashburger - an amazing deal at only $8.50, and added on the tallow fries for $4. The smashburger was larger than I expected, the lettuce and tomato super fresh, the patty so juicy and the sauce super flavorful - some sort of garlicky sauce that tied it all together perfectly! The tallow fries came in a much larger than expected serving, and are a perfect light crisp with soft fluffy insides. For dessert I got the tart cherry pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream - I was honestly stuffed by the time this came out but I loved the nice tart bite of the cherries with the creamy ice cream (which also was perfect for dipping my last few fries into). George + Kin's Diner is an amazing addition to the neighborhood, and I'll definitely be back to try the french toast, pancakes and other super tempting comforting diner classics!

Hooked ! Japanese fusion Diner but only in the best details. Had the burger and fries -so homemade tasting! Sandwiches like japanese egg salad uses japanese kewpie mayo too! Very home made tasting and garnished with japanese pickled vegetables on the side. . Breakfast omeletes are standard and served with japanese milk bread that they also sell pre-order 1/2 or whole loaf to go. The pancakes and french toast are the puffy sort. Yum. The desserts are plentiful big and beautiful reminding me of the old Max's Opera Cafe dessert cases. The black and white cookie was recommended and is innovated - NYC Jewish deli style. Next time we would order a slice of their Dream Cake. I love that you can visit the diner for dessert breakfast tea time lunch or dinner. You can even order a banana split. We look forward to trying the whole menu. Great addition to the Whole Foods shopping mall here.

    Farmers Breakfast

Let me start with saying I will definitely come back again. I went to the soft opening with my friends and we all had something good to say. The food was served promptly,, still hot and steaming, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was chill diner vibes. Not sure who was who, but staff came up multiple times to check on us and made sure we got what we needed. You come in, order, pay and they bring the food to your table. The farmers breakfast was so good and filling. Eggs can be poached if you want (which not many places i have been for breakfast advertise) the sausage patties are made in house and are the perfect size, bread is also made in house. I asked for jam for my toast which isn't sitting at the table like some breakfast places and you can tell it was made in house too. It was strawberry :) My friends had the other dishes. I tried the French toast. It was warm, fluffy, sweet, and definitely shareable. Pics do not justice. But food was amazing

Big congrats to Ben, Charles, and the rest of the team on the launch of George + Kin's. Not only does the place have all the right visual touches and familiar friendly faces and service to make it feel like home, but, the menu and food is outstanding. Every single component of my Big Morning breakfast stood on its own; from the rustic sausage patties, down to homemade toast, and of course, those giant, delicious pancakes! More-so, everything was beautifully seasoned, including the eggs, hash browns and bacon - something you don't typically see in diner food. I love love love breakfast with all my being, and I can't wait to come back and work my way through this menu. -TT

We'd heard that George + Kin's Diner was busy on opening day and that the bread was super thick. Took us three tries to land a walk in, but that's typical of Napa's new restaurants. The third time was the charm; no line and plenty of options. The manager was competent and I tip my hat to the restaurant for hiring highschoolers .Make sure you know what to order before get a table, you pay with the host! The window menu outside helps the decision process. After much thought, I went with the Chicken Parmesan and a glass of prosecco, my fiancé was happy with the eggs Benedict. The parmigiana was nostalgic and felt like a home cooked meal, we had the whole outside patio to ourselves on a beautiful day in Napa Valley. What can I say? Of course I had to order twice for a Toffee Milk shake and slice of cake. A+

Some mishaps have happened with service on prior visits but management and servers are always concerned and make it right. That's why I keep coming back. I Popped in Thursday afternoon for Pho. It was not busy only two other couples eating when we arrived. We sat at our usual table And noted service was a bit slow right off the bat. When I received my Pho, which I thought was a longer wait than usual, it was luke warm if that. The Korean ribs and chicken wings arrived temperature appropriate. I pushed my soup aside but no one checked back until my lunch mate finished. When the waiter came to clear the table I asked for a to go and thought he would ask if there was anything wrong. He did not so I told him the Pho was served luke warm so I did not eat it and that no one had checked back or even passed by us or I would have sent it back to heat it up. We were done now so I'd just take it to go. Our waiter apologized and when he brought the bill said The Pho was comped and apologized again for the breakdown in service. When I dine I like to relax and enjoy a meal With who I came with. So receiving temperature appropriate food is important. The KD does a good job. They have a diverse menu with flavorful food and great cocktails. When there is a hiccup in service or the food there is a genuine concern. Sometimes it's caught by them and others it's brought to their attention. It's how things are dealt with when those mishaps happen. The KD addresses your concerns with sincerity and want their diner to have an all around great experience. If you have not been give KD a try when in downtown Napa.

To the OWNERS, this young lady makes your location amazing and I hope whatever it is you're paying her, you give her a raise!!! So if you're looking for a wine bar after 9 o'clock and a down to earth location with plenty of TVs and an amazing bartender, KAT, and great hamburgers .....this is your place!

Flavor-wise, it was really good overall. The only miss was the caramelized onions, they tasted more sautéed than fully caramelized. The loaded fries were basically a meal on their own, super filling. The beers we picked for our flight were all really good too. I was a little disappointed I couldn't mix and match a 4-pack and also couldn't buy a single can of the specific beer I wanted. So I left with no beer. Overall it's a great spot, I'll definitely be back!

There's a lot of bustle here during the brunch rush but once you're seated it's easy to relax and enjoy yourself. The place is large but just small enough to still feel cozy. I don't usually order dishes I've never heard of before, but when our server read the Turkish Eggs special and mentioned the yogurt, dill, salmon, and poached eggs, I couldn't say no! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the smoked salmon and yogurt dill sauce went together, made better by the runny yolk of a perfectly poached egg. I would absolutely go back just for that special. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, though you can only get so excited about pancakes. Chilaquiles were delightfully savory, the plate was practically licked clean. Overall it's a great brunch spot for any weekend occasion!

One side of the restaurant opens completely to the outside, which is perfect on a nice day. We visited on a Saturday around 10 a.m., and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. My wife and I ordered the pancakes and the eggs Benedict. The pancakes do not come with sides, but you get three large, fluffy ones that are surprisingly filling. I was full after two. The eggs Benedict were excellent, easily some of the best I've had. Our server was friendly and attentive, regularly checking in and making sure my coffee stayed hot and topped off. Grace's Table is a Napa staple and absolutely worth a visit.
