I haven't done a review in a minute, but this place needs to be bragged about, I had the prime rib eggs Benedict, with potatoes. MAN! Let me tell you ! My mouth sent me a thank you card, the flavor is amazing, PRIME RIB was tender, I literally cut it with a butter knife, the bread was soft and crunchy at the same time made fresh from panorama bakery made fresh everyday ( I know RIGHT!), it was buttery and soo Delicious , the addition of the avocado sent the flavor beyond any eggs Benedict I've had before, and if you follow me you know I order it often. The potatoes: the potatoes were savory as well, you could think it's just a potato dude calm down, NO I WON'T CALM DOWN, OK maybe I will I'm embarrassing my wife standing on the table right now ‍, but these once dirty ugly vegetable was magically transformed into a cube food for the gods! Two locals favorites are Sunshine Café along with North bar and Grill. I had a really fun bunco party at the house. It was Kentucky Derby themed The best carrot cake in the Napa Valley is what I offered to my guests! I learned the carrot cake can be purchased. It's sold at the restaurant by the slice. I love the moist, spicy, coconut cake frosted with cream cheese icing. .Looking forward to continued good times at both restaurants. They are right next-door to each other. We had a nice experience here. Food was absolutely wonderful. Service was prompt and professional, although perhaps slightly rushed and to-the-point, although personally I like that. There was no wait for a table, although it was reasonably busy for a weekday. I bet on weekends it's absolutely hopping! The breakfast quesadilla was delicious and my BF was happy with his huevos rancheros. The one thing I wasn't completely satisfied with was the coffee - not sure if it was just a bad batch, because some of the other reviews mentioned it was good, but I thought it was pretty bad. Not undrinkable, but for $11 for two cups, I would like it be at least be decent. It's not a cheap restaurant, but the food is great, the portions are sizable, and we are in Napa, after all. Loooove Sunshine Cafe! We came here after a hike and saw the great reviews and had to try it. The decor is so cute! And it's surprisingly big on the inside in addition to having a lot of outdoor seating. 10-15 minute wait on a weekend to be seated wasn't bad at all! This was my first time eating here. I had the bacon and eggs meal with sourdough toast. I loved their toast. It wasn't your typical loaf of bread, I think it freshly made bread. It was really good with A LOT of butter. The waitress we had was very attentive to us and the service was great. The ambiance was great and it was filled with locals. I love seeing that which means that is a great place. The price was good for 4 people as well. I would recommend this place for sure. read more

Travelling from San Francisco - We started our long weekend at the Sonoma Raceway for the GT World Challenge then a hotel stay in Napa. The next morning we were looking for a real wine country breakfast and we found it at Sunshine Cafe! Rainy days calls for brunch in a cozy space. That is exactly what Sunshine Cafe is. Now, don't be discouraged by the wait time, a good 20 or so but it's worth every bite. It has been awhile since I was last here but nothing has change. The quality of food is still as excellent as ever. My mother and I had a little brunch date. We ordered pancakes, (2) eggs any style and the chicken and waffles. The only comment I have is that the chicken on the chicken and waffles was a bit...herby for me? As in the spices just seemed sour to me. The waffles were amazing. We had asked for extra tea and one of the team members shared that it would cost extra. We asked another team member and they never mentioned any additional charges. We double checked the receipt at the end and no additional charges so there might be room for staff knowledge. We waited 25 minutes to be seated, which is understandable, but once seated I would have expected better follow-through. * My eggs (ordered over medium) came out extremely runny. * Coffee didn't arrive until 15 minutes after being seated. * Every time I asked for something, the waitress would rush off before I could finish the request, and items either came very late or not at all (for example, I never received the sour cream I asked for). * Pancakes I ordered on the side showed up after the rest of the meal was finished. They were comped, which I appreciated, but the timing made them pointless. * Biscuits arrived about 10 minutes after the rest of the meal as well. On top of that, when it came time to pay, we had asked for part cash/part card, but the bill was split incorrectly. By the time we left, it had been nearly two hours for a simple breakfast, which was frustrating and disappointing. I've been here twice now and the food is pretty good! I don't usually come out to Napa but this is one of the spots on my list for brunch with the girls! Whenever I come here I love looking around at all the cute decor. I've tried the banana foster French toast and pancakes and both were tasty, but if I had to choose I would go with the French toast. My friends and family have tried their burgers and chili rellenos and said they were also pretty good. Both times I've been they had the sweetest waitresses as well. I honestly don't understand how this place has a 4.6 rating. First of all, if something costs extra, you should tell the customer. I ordered an English muffin extra $2.00, but what I got was this greasy, unappetizing biscuit that tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. I also asked for egg whites, which they charged extra , but again, no one told me that upfront. To be fair, the mimosa and coffee were decent, and the egg whites--though they charged me an extra $2.50 for two slices--weren't overly greasy and were okay. Still, I wouldn't recommend coming here. Greeted by host and quickly placed on the wait list. *Note- counter/bar seating isn't first come first serve. We ordered a signature Kahlúa Coffee called Keoki and a regular coffee. My hubby said the regular coffee was STRONG so if that's your thing this is the place. I ordered a simple bacon and eggs and my hubby ordered the chilaquiles. The bacon and eggs order comes with country potatoes and it was good. I ordered sourdough bread and it came with melted butter already on it. We were expecting just an ordinary breakfast, but this was out of this world! My husband had pancakes and sausage. The sausage was outstanding and pancakes were fluffy and perfect. I had the avocado toast with bacon and it's hard to describe... It's just so fresh and good and tasty. The goat cheese is the perfect touch. Came here for brunch with a group of 6 and had no problem being seated in a reasonable amount of time (less than 10 to 15 minutes). The staff were friendly and attentive. Everyone in my group had a different order and no one was disappointed with their food selection. I had the chicken and waffles which was delicious. They have 3 flavors of mimosas which they serve by the glass. We had the peach and raspberry mimosas which were good. However, there is no option for a mimosas flight, carafe, or bottomless mimosas which would be a more appealing option for customers.
