Usually Model Bakery is spot on, but I've noticed that the Mini Model Bakery (been here twice) doesn't quite hit the same as the OG one in Oxbox (been there 4 times). We always grab their English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich, but both times, the muffin is either not as fluffy or toasted too long. The egg also tasted more rubbery vs soft and fluffy. Love how this is tucked away corner of a "hotel"... and kind of low-key ( comparison to across the street ). Staff are polite and efficient- took less than 10min for our order to be ready. I didn't even know that this place existed, I have only been to the actual Model Bakery location in St. Helena. This is such a super cute and small place with outdoor seating. While there is always a wait outside, it moves pretty quicky and service is friendly. My go to is their lavender latte - have it warm or iced. They are also known for their muffins, and they totally live up to the hype, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and so good with a bit of butter and jam. Model Bakery has been a fixture in Sonoma County for decades. The reason is that their products are awesome. This is a distribution satellite and no baking is done here. No matter, it was fresh. This location is a old raid car and is a order at the window place. In my scoring system, this loses a star as there is not table service to judge. The service was very quick. This is in stark contrast to its famed neighbor across the way. There is a small amount of spartan seating which is fine by me. The Food. It's a mistake not to get something including. the famed english muffin featured on Oprah and shipped around the world. It's quite good. Not sure i would travel from Paris to sample, but a solid choice. Mini Model Bakery is a super cute little coffee shop and bakery to stop by at. In my personal opinion their pastries and drinks are not the best. If you really want a good bakery, go to Bouchon or Honor Market, both having great selections. The service is pretty quick but not the fastest. Not going to front though, McD's Sausage Egg McMuffin is my guilty pleasure but The Model Bakery isn't a big fast food chain, nor is it cheap. Because the breakfast sandwiches are pre-made, the English muffins are soggy. The worst part? The staff couldn't even properly reheat the pre-made breakfast sandwiches. The bland egg puck was cold in the center. So, was the sausage and the cheese wasn't even melted in one of the sandwiches.
