Still the most legitimate ancient grain bakery in Napa. And it isn't a Instagram spot just a great and breaducation foodie spot Coming here is like connecting to the history of food... namely breads... a staple of every culture but in different forms... on our planet as survival.. Owner is a former EL school teacher turned dedicated skilled baker. Trained by the best in nearby famed Firebrand Berkeley bakery then at Model Bakery. Khorasan grain is the choice grain at West Won. And most always sourdough in each bread baked in their ovens The crunch to their chocolate croissants beat most and there is a slightly nuttier taste to it. Fan of the sourdough loaf with sesame crust And the very dense healthier Khorasan loaf only available Saturdays which is lovely toasted and used in a sandwich or plain with butter. This art of baking costs the consumer more because of the work involved Like other ancient grains it takes up to 18 hrs to prepare and bake this type of bread. It is a more complex bread and not your typical "white fluffy bread" or "Parisian style" bread touting soft white bouncy interiors. This bread is sometimes crusty and dense and at times more substantial and fibrous. It is known for its large kernels, rich nutty flavor, and higher nutritional content compared to modern wheat, offering more protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals. Its sweet, nutty, buttery flavor was attracting interest from pasta makers, bakers, and consumers alike. Some consumers who thought they were sensitive to modern wheat began reporting that this ancient wheat variety seemed easier to digest, improves insulin resistance in diabetics, and causes less gastrointestinal distress or inflammation than they typically experienced with wheat products

Bread brought us here!

They seem to have run out of stock on many varieties and the whole wheat loaf they gave us did not seem to match our understanding of that type of bread. Anyway bread was not too bad in taste. Charged us $1 for slicing and that by a machine seemed atrocious. Hope others have a better experience

A cute little bakery with delicious pastries, and unforgettable coffee just a short walk down from the Napa scene. I thoroughly enjoyed coming here multiple days while visiting downtown Napa.

Nice little find in Napa for baked goods - especially sourdough bread. One of the very few establishments that will offer to have bread sliced (for an additional dollar) and well worth it. Thank you for the service and sourdough find, West Won!

We always pass by this area and we always wanted to try it so yesterday, July 18 around 12:30 we visited the place to try their bread.. Not much to see inside, it was basically so quiet, not enough displayed bread to choose from but we tried Ham and Cheese Croissant and Chocolate Croissant.. For the price of $6.50 it was quite expensive .. The taste? ok not something special.. Bread was cold and hard like it's been on display for a day or two, meaning it isn't fresh... I wanna give 5 stars to the awesome customer service, the lady who attended to us was very friendly... Anyways, hopefully they have more variety of bread to choose from..

We saw West Won at the Martinez Farmer's Market on Easter Sunday. Got an Olive Bread and a Whole Wheat Loaf - loved both. The person running the booth was fantastic and super nice.

we stopped by these bakery on a Friday morning on our way to winetasting in Napa Valley. This was my first time. There was plenty of parking. The bakery had many types of bread for sale, as well as pastries, cookies, and drinks. We ordered four sandwiches to go, a baguette, a poppyseed, coffee, cake, and four cookies with a raspberry jam. Everything was very good, however, the star of the show was the baguette. The baguette was crusty on the outside and had a very good flavor. We did not order any coffee because they only had drip coffee at that time. They also have outdoor seating.

Bookmark West Won for their pastries and finally stop by to try some ! Paid with cash with a small discount Everything we got was pretty good -the chocolate croissant was huge in size , buttery flaky with a good chew but wish there was a bit more chocolate ! Same with the apple danish needed more apple pieces ! Worth a try but don't think I'll come back !

Avo toast

Amazing Avo toast! We came 2 mornings in a row. If you want to avoid the downtown crowds and prices and have amazing fresh sourdough, come here

Coffee and pastries are next level!

Visited Napa this weekend and stopped by West Won Bread. Best bread I have ever had! The pastries and breakfast sandwich were awesome! They make a mean cappuccino as well! love this place! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The owner was there making bread and he came out to greet us and tell us about his products and his journey that lead him to opening his own shop. It was a great experience.

Avocado toast, and an iced latte

Great avocado toast and iced latte! Excellent service too! I sat outside for a little bit. It was nice.

Avocado toast w/burrata... delicious!

It's way too expensive. 32 dollars for one small sandwich and 2 drinks. I can't think of a reason to go back. Lots of other places. Pass.

They sell curated food products from gourmet balsamic vinegar, crackers, popcorn, flavored olive oils, jams, and of course. We decided to try the bourbon latte and white rabbit. They have a variety of flavors but the bourbon latte caught my eye. Me not realizing that it felt like summer outside during springtime, we ordered both drinks hot. Sidenote, the drinks do come iced as well. In addition to our drinks, I bought lemon curd jam and rosè jelly. There was only one person working when we were there but we didn't wait long for our drinks which was a big plus. Aside from that, the bourbon latte was very tasty and I loved the fact that the bourbon syrup wasn't too overpowering. Next time I go, I'm definitely getting it iced. Napastäk is definitely a gem and I recommend stopping by to visit if you're in the area. If you love taking picturesque photos, this is the perfect place! They having tasting too!

Worst $11 of my life. There's not a lot of great matcha places in all of 707 (Benicia, Vallejo, Fairfield, etc) and this experience had to be the most expensive and least inviting..with the least flavoring. It was straight milk with a dash of matcha. I asked for caramel and I taste nothing.

I started with the Iced Matcha Fog Latte, and it was fantastic. Super smooth, creamy, and refreshing with that clean matcha flavor that isn't overly sweet or heavy. It's the kind of drink that wakes you up without the usual coffee jitters and feels perfect sitting outside in the sunshine. After that, I tried the Turmeric Latte, which was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. It had a beautiful golden color, a subtle earthy spice, and a smooth finish that made it feel almost like a wellness drink and a treat at the same time. I also grabbed an Almond croissant, and it was exactly what you want with a latte -- flaky, buttery, dusted with powdered sugar, and topped with sliced almonds. Messy in the best possible way. The shop itself has a really cool vibe. The interior is modern with warm lighting, plants, and plenty of seating, and the outdoor patio is perfect on a sunny Napa day if you want to sit back and relax for a bit. Great drinks, great pastries, and a really welcoming atmosphere. Ohm Coffee is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Unfortunately, my experience fell short in a few meaningful ways. I ordered a lavender coffee latte, which I was really looking forward to, but it lacked flavor and was disappointing enough that I chose not to purchase anything further. That alone might not have stopped me from returning, but what followed did. Knowing European culture, and especially Parisian cafés, are often very dog-friendly, and given Napa's well-known dog-loving atmosphere, I felt comfortable bringing my dog, who is a service animal. I was immediately asked to leave because only service animals are allowed, with the assumption made that my dog was not one. While he is in fact a service animal, the interaction left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. There was no curiosity or neutral clarification... just an assumption and a request to leave. That moment really deflated the excitement I had walking in. Between the coffee experience and feeling unwelcome, I decided not to stay as long as planned or purchase anything further. I'm glad to see that others have had better experiences here, and the pastries certainly look lovely. I suppose those interested should trust other reviewers on that front. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I won't be returning.

Tried three different drinks while I was there: the Showroom Matcha (topped with this dreamy orange-cream foam), a Duvalin Iced (my friend's pick, so good), and a Super Mellow Iced for me. The picnic tables do get pretty covered in crumbs, but nothing a napkin and a quick swipe can't fix - do be careful of the many birds lurking to grab a bite though. While my favorite is still the plain toasted english muffin with butter and apricot jam, I have also tried the chipotle muffin - which came on nicely toasted sourdough and not an english muffin (my fault for not reading more carefully); this was a hearty, tasty and great breakfast sandwich! The bacon was thick and not too chewy or burnt, and the chipotle sauce brought the tomato, egg and avocado together perfectly, though I'd love a bit more sauce. The meringue rose like a delicate cloud, lightly sweet, airy, and beautifully toasted, each bite dissolving with just enough structure to remind you of its craft. Beneath it, the lemon filling struck that elusive balance: bright and vibrant, yet luxuriously smooth, with a decadence that never crossed into excess. It danced perfectly between tart citrus and gentle sweetness, leaving you reaching back for another forkful before you even realized it. The crust, often an afterthought in lesser pies, was executed with precision, thin, crisp, and just sturdy enough to support the layers without competing for attention. It framed the experience rather than distracting from it. Yes, it leaned toward the higher end in price, but this was not simply dessert, it was an experience worth every dollar.
