Found this cool authentic Italian deli searching for lunch in Napa. These are the type of vibes in a deli you should always look for. Authentic products from Italy from their market selection to the meats and cheeses. You take a ticket and wait to be called and they'll make your sandwich there fresh. I had to get the diet cola, something you won't find in your ordinary supermarket. These local establishments are what bring a community together and who we should always keep in business.

Pre ordered online - service was quick and my order was ready. Sandwich was good - not the best in my life but solid. Will come again.

Special number 4 - prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, basil, tomato, splash of olive oil on a ciabatta.

Great fast sandwiches, never overstuffed, always classic, great flavors. Today we got "number four" with just enough, fresh basil, balsamic, and a splash of olive oil that seeped nicely into soft ciabatta. If you like your bread toasted, you better say it otherwise it's soft but not soggy. We also got some local beer, brewed at Mare Island for the first time. The pilzner was bitey and good. They also had a brew called "Vallejo", a lager. The shop itself has a coffee shop and a place to purchase local and imported eats and treats. We got an Aqua Pena Tuscany, natural springwater just for kicks. There are wonderful, frozen lasagnas and pastas. I've had these before and they're always quite good. Fresh pasta, and great ingredients. We also purchase some local candy, one of which is like a hard gummy. The candies are tiny and imported from Italy. Don't forget deli meats if you like that sort of thing. We are fans of mortadella and they have both the imported and the local kind. We bought the local kind that doesn't have pistachios, but if you like it with pistachios and a little salty, the imported one is great too. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is that of an Italian deli for sure with a lot of wood and a little bit of an 80s to 90s feel. Tables were cozy and wood.

I wish I could give 10 stars! I love this super friendly, lovely delicatessen . We went in for sandwiches for our lunch. I ended up getting a delicious cappuccino from the sweetest little barista woman I was so impressed with the amount of Italian products you can purchase They have everything from put together soups in a crockpot, olive oil's ,cherries, pestos ,coffee, Jams, honey ,breads. already made and ready to take away delicious lasagnas, and gnocchi , raviolis with sauces. They have it all if you are just looking for something delicious. This is the delicatessen you need to try. An impressive wine list, Italian chocolates, and cookies And Italian pastas dried and ready to be prepared for your friends and family . ( we are heading back there on the day that we leave to drive back up so that I can stock up.) I just love this place so much

First tip is to make sure you grab a number upon entering. Once your number is called at the deli counter, you may order. Staff was surprisingly not the most welcoming when I let them know (politely) they had skipped my number. I was standing off just a few feet to the girl's right, so it isn't even as if she called it and I missed it. The vibe had more of an unspoken "yeah, yeah hurry up"... so rather than ordering all I had hoped from the deli case, I just grabbed one side and called it at that. This is my 2nd time in, but fortunately only my first interaction that made me feel that way. The sandwich (Dino Special) was pretty good and packed with filling- I'd get that again.

The more I go here, the more I want to come back! My meatball Sandwich was next level with the fresh mozzarella on top !!! The minestone soup and garlic bread is a perfect side to go with the sandwich. Also had some tortellini salad which was fantastic!! One of the best dell's in the area!!

No frills deli spot! Came in on a late Friday evening for 2 prosciutto sandwiches. Things are made fresh, on the spot in front of you and they weigh the meats! Ingredients are fresh! Would definitely come back for a quick snack or if you want an Italian sandwich!

I am looking for good and flavorful Italian sausage made with fennel, do you make this or know where I can find some?

Hi, do you have gluten free bread?

Unfortunately we do not have any gluten free bread available. We do, however, offer all options in lettuce wraps. Thank you for your inquiry! Stay Safe!

    Do they do catering?

Hi Joseph, Yes we cater everything that we serve on our menu. We also make meat & cheese…

Is this the same Genova , that was in Emeryville or Oakland?

It is YES. I used to frequent that deli in North Oakland. I was delighted when I realized they had a "new" place in Napa. I was afraid that Whole Foods might harm their business. If anything it's reinforced the point of having a 100% genuine source…

I loved the open kitchen concept--you get to watch the chefs in action--and even the bathrooms have unique details that make the whole restaurant feel special. Everything we ordered was delicious. The special of the day was shishito peppers with a balsamic glaze, and they were absolutely incredible. Sweet, savory, and perfectly blistered--I could have ordered another plate just for myself. The calamari was another standout. It was light, crispy, and fresh with a delicate batter instead of the heavy coating you often find elsewhere. We also ordered the Pork Chop Milanese, which was a generous portion and easily shareable. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes of the meal. The Ravioli al Limone was rich, creamy, and full of bright lemon flavor--definitely a must-order if you love fresh pasta. A few friends at our table have been on an Italian food kick lately and ordered the chicken, and it exceeded everyone's expectations. It was juicy, well-seasoned, and definitely not an afterthought on the menu. And of course, the pizza was a huge hit with the kids. It's always nice when a restaurant can make both the adults and little ones happy. The cocktails were just as impressive as the food--beautifully crafted, refreshing, and every drink we ordered was excellent. We dined with kids, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, seating us in a comfortable corner that made the experience much more relaxing. The service throughout the evening was warm, attentive, and never rushed. Between the inviting atmosphere, fantastic food, great drinks, and thoughtful service, Scala Osteria absolutely earns 5 stars. It's the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again.
