Came here for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Not too busy so I was able to grab a table easily. It's counter service so you'll order first and then take a seat. They have a good amount of options to choose from, from salads to French toast but not an overwhelming menu. They also had some beers and wine available. I went with one of their fry options because I had seen the table over order it and it looked yummy. Pretty tasty but wish I had asked for the sauce on the side. I did get to try the Thai salad and I would definitely order that next time for myself. Big portion and you can add a protein to it. Would love to come back and try other options if I'm in the area. My grand total was 17 which would had been closer to fair for me but ended up paying closer to 21-22. I immediately told the cashier that I didnt intend to tip. I've been a few times and I really enjoy this restaurant and the concept. It's a fast casual, counter service restaurant. They have a wide menu featuring salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, loaded fries and interesting sides, and bao buns. A lot of the protein options are reworked for different entrees depending on what you order. It makes it so you have a lot of variety, and smart to reuse ingredients in unique ways. The menu is quite varied from bahn mi to pulled pork to Jamaican Jerk chicken bao buns. They take a global approach to their menu but it doesn't feel like Cheesecake Factory where they are doing too much. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The location is a bit funky in a shopping plaza. I think this would do well downtown, but thankfully, there's easy parking. I don't think chicken does "flakey" without someone or something really messing it up. Now, the rest of the bowl was lovely. And I would have no problem eating just the rice bowl part without the chicken for about $4-$5 bucks less. Anyway, it looked like a good idea. And maybe I caught them on a bad day. This is my first time visiting since the renovation, and it feels like an entirely different vibe. The dining space is much more catered toward a sit, eat, and relax crowd than it used to be, especially without the ordering bar. The tables are set with water glasses, utensils, and conversation starter cards. It gives a first date spot feel. The menu feels smaller, but there's also messaging on it that says they're making changes. My favorite bowl was still on the menu, so I ordered that. Full disclosure, I don't like raw tomatoes, so I asked for them on hold, that's why there is none in the picture. It was every bit as good as I remember it. The tables where I was seated are a little snug for someone of my curviness, and if I had gone at a time when anyone else was sitting next to me, we would have had an awkward first encounter, so that might have been something for the waitress to consider when seating me in an otherwise empty restaurant. It was also around the shift change, and I think she left because I never saw her after she checked on me once getting my meal, and someone else closed my tab. But she did check on me, which I appreciate. I had some really high hopes for this place. I was hoping that the most recent reviews were just a blip since most of them seem to be from accounts with very little reviews. However, I have to rate this as just OK. One thing I will say is my review might be different if we did dine in. We ordered 4 dishes: Sweet Chili Brussel sprouts, Lemongrass Waffle Fries, Jerk Chicken Bowl, and Pork Belly Baos. Sweet Chili Brussel sprouts: Just OK. I feel like these were just roasted and then tossed in sweet chili sauce from the bottle you get at the grocery store. Lemongrass Pork Waffle Fries: My favorite flavor wise. Such a large portion too. My only downside is that since we got these for takeout they were not crispy because all the toppings on top of it made it soggy. It was sad to be honest. This could have maybe been different if we got to eat it immediately. Jerk Chicken Bowl: There was a sour flavor I wasn't a fan of in this and I love jerk chicken. There was something odd in this. It was also cold when we ate this. Pork Belly Baos: The protein was that pork belly texture. It was more tough. The baos were cold. I think the food being cold was a big factor to our enjoyment of this. We didn't have access to a way to reheat the food though. We drove perhaps maybe 10-15 mins from the restaurant. We were sitting in the restaurant the whole time waiting after we placed the order. The food sat in a bag for at least 10 mins, while we just sat there. They only just had to hand it to us, but no one gave it to us or bothered to ask until the person who took our order saw that we were just sitting there and said, "I thought they gave you your order already." There's obviously some miscommunication going on. The restaurant was not that busy too. It was maybe like 4pm so not prime meal time. It seems like the staff is under some training still hence the mishap. When we were sitting there, someone came in to pay for an order in cash and it seems like the staff didn't know what to do. One staff member was teaching another how to count change. I really don't know what's going on. They also just don't seem clear on responsibilities for being wait staff. One staff member I witnessed told 2 people to wait to be seated because I think they expected someone else to sit them, but then they didn't so then sat them. The restaurant itself seems nice, but yeah they have some kinks to work out. Hopefully, it gets better! I'd try dining in again if in the area, but perhaps just one dish to see what it's like first before committing to four. read more

Trip #3! Started out with the pork belly with the bao buns option and this is our favorite dish here. Next tried the falafel bowl which I paired with their creamy cilantro dressing. This dish was light and a great meatless option for people. The falafel had a nice full flavor with just a hint of curry in it and not overly breaded. My wife ordered the poke bowl, and the tuna was tough & slimy with not much flavor. The draft beers we ordered were very good. The staff was very polite, and I noticed one staff member ask the table next to us how their meal was. Nice little spot that I found to grab a lil sandwich .... well that's what I thought. I initially was thinking just a small sandwich would do, then I seen they had shrimp tacos served on blue corn tortillas. I was done at that point. So I offered the shrimp tacos, plus they had a steak sandwich with sweet potatoe fries which is what I originally wanted. They have an assortment of lemonades and tea which I ordered a pomegranate lemonade and one of their local pilsner ales. Overall the sandwich was very flavorful. Definitely filling. When in Napa, must try Heritage Eats. It's inside a big shopping center. We tried their Thai pork bowl which had so many delicious and fresh ingredients. It was customizable too. They gave me sauce/dressing on the side but I didn't need it because it already had ton of delicious flavor without being salty. We also tried their banh mi sandwich on a toasty bread. This was delicious too but little too sweet for our liking. We both enjoyed the Thai pork bowl much more. The Brussels sprouts were good as well. Employees were very helpful. First time at Heritage Eats before doing wine tasting. Service set up reminded me of Chipotle. You can order from one of the set menu items or make your own bowl, wrap, etc. Ambiance: the music played a little too loud inside. Chicken Tikka Masala Wrap (3/5): The chicken was all white meat which was quite tough. Since the chicken bites were big, it was hard to eat it wrap form. Not even halfway into my wrap, a lot of watery sauce started leaking out from the bottom and onto the table. I don't think I would get this again next time I'm here due to the mess and the toughness of the meat. Cowboy Dirty Fries (3.5/5): The flavors were solid and the fries were seasoned well! Some of the fries were stuck together so it could have been crispier. A little too much sauce for my preference so I would ask for light sauce next time. The fries itself are quite heavy so it was quite filling. Vietnamese Coffee (5/5): Very similar to ones I get at Vietnamese restaurants. Super delicious and very balanced from the chicory and sweetened condensed milk. It was really inspiring to see so many different cultural foods in one establishment. However, the chicken tikka masala was watered down in flavor and was unlike tikka masala I've had before. Next time I would love to try some of the other options on the menu.
