I am staying at the resort and went around 7:50am on Saturday 5/9 to grab coffee and a pastry for my mother and me celebrating Mother's Day. The girl at the register was unfriendly and got my drink incorrect, and did not warm up my pastry when asked. I got back to my hotel room to find my drink was incorrect and walked back to the cafe. The barista, Jenny, was there and welcomed me in and helped me right away with remaking my drink and apologizing for the error. The girl from the register came back and looked a bit upset my drink was getting remade. The two drinks Jenny made tasted good and due to her kindness I will go back while here on vacation. read more

Blend is usually our go-to on checkout day. It's perfect when we're short on time but still want good coffee and something to eat on the road. They open early at 6:30am, which is great if you're up and moving early in the morning. If you do have time to hang out, there's both indoor and outdoor seating, and the vibe is calm and quiet. There's also a small grocery section attached, which is convenient for grabbing snacks, drinks, or other food items to take back to your room. The drip coffee is solid, and the self-serve creamer and sweetener station is a nice touch. Just remember to ask for room if you need it. I usually go for the breakfast burrito, which is surprisingly good for a café. The tortilla is grilled, giving it a nice crunch that sets it apart. The wife ordered their breakfast burrito breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately, she didn't finish it due to the sausage patty not tasting very good. My only downside is the pricing. Two coffees, a breakfast sandwich, and a breakfast burrito came out to around $45, which feels pretty steep for what you get. read more

Located on the property of Heritage Resort and Spa, they have coffee and breakfast available beginning as early as 6:30. All the breakfast sandwiches and burritos are pre-made and then heated in a commercial toaster oven. Personally, I think the burrito with chorizo is better than the sandwiches although, be warned, the chorizo can be greasy and soak the tortilla. I ate mine with a fork sans the tortilla. It is also big enough to split. We shared it and it was plenty. From a food perspective, the Blend is definitely better than eating at McDonald's but also not knock-your-socks-off delicious! The coffee shop has pretty good drinks; both cold and hot. I'm a pretty basic vanilla latte guy but even something that simple can vary widely in various coffee shops. This one is decent but not great. Bottom line - Conveniently located on the resort but leaves a lot to be desired. All of that being said, I'll give them 3 stars. I hope that helps. Not sure why Jenny was so rude today but girl get a grip. There is absolutely no reason you should be working if you're miserable with your job. She gave me uncalled for attitude when I showed her nothing but kindness in my tone and questions. She also burnt my food lmfao. I understand everything is going through something behind the scenes but that attitude has got to go, if you're treating guests like that you shouldn't work there. This is a luxury resort not a regular hotel. Luckily I like my sandwhichs a little crispy, so it's not that big of a deal to me- however this burnt sandwhich should not be served to another guest. read more

Wow, the food at this place is so laughably bad, that I felt compelled to upload some pictures and leave a warning to others: The protein bowl looked and tasted like leftovers that were reheated a few times. The bowl it was served in was some type of misshapen cardboard with grease stains on it like it had been used before. The texture on the sausage in the bowl has me convinced it was either frozen, defrosted, then frozen again and then heated up, or like it had been reheated a few times. The breakfast sandwich was legit worse than any gas station food I've ever eaten. It's surprising how awful the food here was. That said, the staff was friendly and the iced lattes we ordered were of good quality. We were just really surprised in how bad the food here was, as The Olive & Hay restaurant located nearby on the resort was incredible for dinner, and the bar next door had high quality cocktails. We spent $54 dollars (after tip) at this cafe this morning and are stunned by how awful the food was. If you're looking for breakfast, be sure to go anywhere else. read more

Inside the big resort complex. Only coffee stand available for two huge resorts. It gets crowded and is definitely not worth the wait. The coffee is pretty bad and a bottle of Evian water is $12. During my stay at the Meritage, I would wake up each morning and sneak over to the Blend Cafe and stock up on breakfast goodies to take back to the room. Not quite awake yet, we really only wanted coffee but we decided to give the pasteries a try, the yogurt parfait and the spa wrap. The Spa Wrap with the egg whites, avocado and cheese was probably my favorite of them all. I like that this is close and is easy to pick up smaller items instead of going to the breakfast buffet or ordering in room service. We were only there for about 20-30 minutes and all bought food and drink items. I questioned if we were disturbing anyone. She said we were not but were meeting and had pushed two tables together. I wanted to write a review specifically to give a shout out to an awesome employee, Dawa, who was so sweet when I was at the Meritage with my 2 young kids. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything that we needed and gave us advice on how to fill our day with fun activities in the area. Blend is a treasure hiding in plain view at the Meritage. Among the standouts were the female manager (whose name I forgot) and the server Malachi; the manager stepped in&opened a second register when a cashier was clearly overwhelmed&confused. It was the Sunday morning breakfast rush, to the point that the lines of people waiting to place orders and those waiting for their food somehow merged. Blend makes a great regular coffee. I also got the "Wine Country English Muffin" (formerly the "English Muffin Sandwich") It's on an English muffin from the Model Bakery, so they go for quality. It has fresh avocados, tomatoes, smoked salmon&chive cream cheese. As a breakfast sandwich, it's filling. It also comes with a side of hash browns. Since it got chaotic indoors, I sat outside, with a beautiful view of the Napa Valley. Plenty of outdoor seating. Pro-tip- Blend is between the Chapel and the Carneros Ballroom. It's up front, so you don't have to wander around the lobby. More accessible&easier to find than expected. read more

I travel 99% for work and pleasure all over the US and Europe.I am in Napa, CA for a nursing conference.I spent all morning and afternoon preparing and setting up for the conference and had not eaten anything. I went to the concierge desk thinking they could offer suggestions and they had no interest since they were closing their desk. I stumbled around this massive property finding closed wine bars and restaurants. Room service is VERY expensive.I was headed back to my room and saw this cafe.....OMG, I wish there was one on every corner across the globe. First the staff. Ben and Melanie deserve recognition for exception service. They assisted me with food selection since i am diabetic and have food allergies--they made it work. They assisted me with a fruit plate that I could eat without causing blisters in my mouth. They never rushed me, they never rolled their eyes or made me feel like a medical freak. Additionally their kindness is infectious. A few locals came in JUST to visit blend for a sandwich and to see the friendly staff. The food- they made me a custom fruit plate of strawberries and grapes, and blueberries. I also had a ham and cheese sandwich. It was excellent. Meant tender and not overly flavored and the fruit was fresh and nicely presented. Before I could even ask, they had it bagged with a few condiments and ready for me to go. Don't go in there for frozen yogurt, they never have the machine on. I've been in there at least 5 times and they always say its "out of order" or it takes a while to turn on and "warm up". I don't understand why you need to warm up ice cream. You'd have at least 12 more customers if you learned how to operate your ice cream machine. I was at a conference at the Resort where this Cafe is located. On one of our lunch breaks, I walked to our lunch area and someone had forgotten I was vegan. An all meat and cheese lunch was served. Opps! Luckily, I am resourceful and seldomly expect people to remember all of my strange dietary choices. It is my choice anyway, so I try to solve it. I had 30 minutes and a growling stomach so I hurried to the concierge to find some quick food here. The gave me directions to the Blend. I walked in and looked at the menu. Meat, meat, meat. Darnit. The friendly barista greeted me just as I lost hope and I explained I am vegan, starving and have 5 more hours in a conference. She offered to make a salad for me and I agreed. I had little hope it was going to be awesome, but even lower standard because I was seriously hungry. She popped out 4 minutes later with a big to go box. I expected 3 scraps of iceberg and a cherry tomato. She opened the box and I was so happy. A mound of mixed greens, a generous portions of ripe, plump tomatos, carrots, grilled onions, sliced avocado made this box bursting full. I could have hugged her, I almost did. This place is 5 stars beause they are in an amazing resort, have amazing and resoucreful staff and can make a darn good vegan salad! read more
