Visited Fivetown grocery here at Meritage Resort again this morning, our first visit ended in sad face, as we were seeking a stopper for our wine. Fivetown sells lots of wine, and other things but we didn't see any stoppers and no one who was working there knew of any as well. (Kindof reminded us of trying to find the place to donate toys for last night's tree lighting. After asking 12 people (workers, vendors, volunteers, etc. we elected to donate the ones we brought to our local Masonic Lodge's Christmas dinner and toy give away). For this morning, I decided on a breakfast sandwich and a milk at Fivetown and asked that the sandwich be heated. No regular milk but plenty of chocolate. The sandwich seemed to be taking a while so I asked (I have eaten heated food before over the past 7 decades so...) to which she pointed at the timer. When the bell rang, the clerk took the sandwich out and put it in a plastic holder and away I went. Finding a nice quiet place by a fireplace outside, (which seemed to immediately attract two guys that were cleaning to my location) I opened my sandwich, which revealed the char you see in the pictures. Perhaps overdone? My solution, skip the lid, save the calories and call it good. Perhaps skipping the Fivetown for breakfast if I am back in the area. read more

We were gifted concert tickets at the Meritage the summer of 2025, so we thought we'd eat there since we didn't pay for the concert tickets. And oh boy, did this little market get us - $$$! Haha We paid a higher price for a poke bowl, a sandwich, two drinks, and some candy... but of course, that's to be expected when you're in or around Napa. Overall, it was a nice little market with bougie-priced food, snacks, and drinks. Service was good. The line went through fast which we appreciated. read more

Nice clean, little market. A lot of variety of food and drinks. There were so many sweet treats, but I refrained from purchasing any. I didn't purchase anything. My friends got coffee. For some reason she ordered two lattes, but one was significantly lighter than the other. We had to open the cups and pour more into the less filled one. Not sure how that happened because once we grabbed our drinks, the two employees walked right away so we couldn't even say anything, lol. read more

We were staying at The Meritage Hotel & Spa and Five Town Grocery is super convenient. We grabbed to go coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the mornings, and it was also perfect for restocking water and other much needed snacks. The store has pretty much everything you might need. The best part was the service the sweetest woman made my coffee, and she was so kind. They also have seating if you want to stay and enjoy it there, plus a good overall selection. We ordered sandwiches and snacks to take to the Gen 7 wine shop where we were going to have a tasting. Gen 7 does not offer food Sadly we both found our sandwiches a bit dry. Theeee worst coffee I've ever had! My husband and I had two different coffees and they both were horrendous! They tasted like caffeinated water with sugar and salt. No great taste, it was disgusting! I asked kindly to have mine redone and they did and I got back a half cup of caffeinated sour coffee grounds and oat milk. I threw it out. It's ridiculous that we ordered coffee and they can't get it right!?! They need training! read more

Six dollars. My 12 ounce can of La Croix was SIX DOLLARS. My coworker's 12 ounce can of A&W root beer was similarly priced. If you're not so wealthy that this kind of thing doesn't matter to you, make sure to ask the register how much your items are, because they're certainly not priced in the cooler and you're not provided with an itemized receipt unless you explicitly ask for one. Feels like a bit of a racket to me, honestly- and I'm used to paying ski resort prices which are notoriously overpriced. Otherwise enjoyed my lunch here. The turkey sandwich ($15) felt like an absolute steal compared to my sparkling water. I thought the produce was fresh, and I ended up saving part of it for a snack later. The food was delicious. Got the tuna salad sandwich on a croissant, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a bag of chips for over $35. When arriving at around 1 PM on a Wednesday, the store was not full. However, the wait took a while. There were a few guests before us, and it took about 20 to 30 minutes to receive two sandwiches. There was only one person working so it took a long time to get all the sandwiches out. Sandwiches cost anywhere between 15+ dollars. Mini market located in the Vista Collina resort, right by the lawn. Really gives you another reason to never leave the resort! The market provides ample amount of alcohol, snacks, food, and serves as a cute little gift shop also. Prices inside are pretty reasonable, still a bit pricey but wouldn't expect anything less from a convenient store at a Napa resort. The deli to the right serves specialty sandwiches and has the option for different deli sides and some sliced meats and cheeses. If you want to skip the deli line, you'll find some prepackaged meals/snacks available off to the side. Also, don't forget to stop by this place in the morning time! There's a coffee bar in the back that has a great menu of baked goods and drinks to choose from. In my most recent visit, I opted for the almond honey latte with a salted pretzel cookie and the Reese's chunk (which was recommended to be by the barista). The staff working at this place always have a smile on their face which makes your visit a pleasant one. read more

Possibly the most expensive deli I've ever been to. A turkey sandwich, chips and canned soda was $20. However I must say it was possibly the best turkey sandwich I have ever had. When I asked about the drink she pointed at the fridge on the other side of the store and told me to pick any can. So I picked one of those expensive probiotic sodas that cost $4 at 7-11. Felt given this it wasn't a bad deal. We just needed something to hold us until an early dinner so we just split the sandwich. I'd go back if in the area and needed a quick snack. The Turkey and Brie sandwich was so delicious. I also got a yummy guava cider and blueberry cheesecake, the cheesecake was just ok. Everyone is extremely friendly. And it's super convenient to be able to walk across the street for a quick lunch in my room by the fireplace. Would definitely go back for my next sandwich fix! Update: I went again this morning 3/10 and got an oat milk chai latte, it was delicious! Not sure why another review said they don't have non-dairy alternatives, they definitely do. Stopped here for lunch when I was in Napa for work. It was a weird vibe. I got the sandwich it was okay but nothing I'd return back to get. Grounds are pretty and patio area was nice. What really bothered me was that none of the customers wore mask but me. It's like they think it's safe to be inside now without face covering and that's a mistake. Covid is still around. Cute deli and cafe that has everything you need for a day of wine tasting in Napa, and conveniently located on the beautiful grounds of Vista Collima Resort & Spa. Ordered a pastrami sandwich and an Italian cold cut sandwich, priced $13 each. The staff were very polite and efficient. They brought our sandwiches out on the patio to me, but since we needed some relief from the head, we decided to eat inside. There is a long community table, a few counter seats and 1 round table inside and nice comfy patio seating outside. The sandwiches are big, definitely shareable. We both loved what we had, although the sourdough bread was pretty hard, almost stale. It would've been better if the bread were at least toasted. They also offer charcuterie plates, a salad bar, a refrigerated case full of wine, beer, and bubbly, and baked goods from the cafe. A nice stop for snacks or lunch. read more

I work nearby and am a huge fan of Fivetown Grocery for lunch. They have a decently sized salad bar, with a variety of salad toppings, fruit, etc. I can get a filling salad for only a couple dollars, which makes it an affordable lunch option for me and a place where I can get healthy foods instead of the fast food chain restaurants around. On several occasions, I've tried their sandwiches-- including a grilled cheese sandwich, and a turkey (or was it chicken?) sandwich. Neither was phenomenal. They were mostly just too much bread and not enough filling. They often also have several pre-made goodies, like grain salads, parfaits, etc. They also have gourmet cheeses, etc. that make it a good place to stop for picnic ingredients before heading out onto the lawn. Their drink selection is great, as well. In addition to a bar (which I unfortunately can't frequent on my lunch breaks), they also have canned and bottled single serve drinks that are kept cold. They have ample selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Finally, they offer local Napa selections of packaged ice creams, etc. that are delicious. It is a great spot for anything from a full-blown meal to a quick outdoor picnic and everywhere in between-- a drink on the lawn, a quick snack to bring back to your hotel room, etc. They have outdoor seating at tables, as well as the huge turf lawn under umbrellas, with varying levels of seating-- adirondacks, cushioned chairs, etc. Bonus: they have a locals discount! We wanted a lunch place for sandwiches and beers, and our normal places were closed (it was a Monday). Service was painfully slow- took almost 30 minutes to make two turkey sandwiches (they just come w turkey, bacon, avocado and lettuce, not like a complex order), you have to pay extra for cheese- a dollar fifty and you get one slice, and the guy forgot to put it on. The workers just stood around talking to each other- they seemed to stop working if you weren't looking at them (I went outside to go to the bathroom and sit at our table, came back in five minutes later and the guy was still holding the avocado in his hand- seemed to just stop working to talk to the other workers). The bread was really dry, the sandwich really bland. Over priced, under quality, and slow service. Three people working, no other customers, and just talking to each other. Seems like they need management to raise the bar for experience given the location and price. Usually we'd go to Stanley Lane nearby for much better quality and selection for similar price- but they're closed Mondays. read more

I am disgusted by the customer service here. I went in with my husband and baby to get a couple of things and to look around. Lovely place with lots of snacks and such. My husband asked this absolutely grotesque woman to the right of the entrance that seemed like she had nothing better to do with her time to see if he could check out, and instantly directed him to another clerk. Idk what it had to do with but the lady after him purchasing a dress had no issues with her and checked her out right away. Called to see if the manager was available but was sent to voicemail. Okie dokie peeps, so across the street from our resort was a little community connected to the hotel with a large lawn in front. There's a grocery store there if you can call it that. It's a small, incredibly pricey, place with assorted products. They've got multiple cold storage upright fridges, counters selling various foods and a number of tables and islands to peruse. Jams, cheeses, wine galore...also snacks, sliced meat and gifts. The employees are bored out of their minds and quite sweet. We walk around, you look and then you send your partner back to grab snacks use you were too lazy to do it the first time. It's convenient if you got the moola. read more

I've used the lawn butler service twice from Fivetown Grocery. The reservation process was super easy -- I called then emailed my order to the program supervisor, Dawa. On the actual day, a blanket with pillows and two chairs and a table was set up and waiting for me. Just check in with the register at Fivetown Grocery and wait for them to bring you your picnic goods! Service was super attentive. They checked up on us several times throughout our stay. The most recent visit was on Thanksgiving and it was super cold. Dawa personally checked on us twice to see how we were doing and called housekeeping for an extra blanket and maintenance to bring us a heater. We felt very well taken care of by her and her staff Alexis. I highly recommend reserving lawn butler service if you're looking for a relaxing picnic with no need to prepare anything yourself! read more

One can park across the street at the Meritage, or one can find one of its dedicated parking lots (or along the street) They've improved significantly since their opening. Vista Collina has kitchenettes in its suites, so it's unsurprising they have a market of sorts so one can cook (plus it's beside a new culinary center that has classes) Many of their products are locally made- they have pasta sauces out of Sonoma, as well as ice cream pints of Sonoma's Sweet Scoops. To their credit, they stock unusual flavors like honey lavender and balsamic raspberry. Their breakfast sandwiches are OK, tho their grilled cheese on challah with figs looks hella great. Interestingly, they carry La Colombe coffee- that's out of Pennsylvania (not exactly local) They're pricey, but they're resort prices (like airport restaurants being pricier than the usual kind) I was able to re-stock Cholula for only $6. The Sweet Scoops pints are $8 each- cheaper than some ice creams at other places. Some areas that could use improvement- It's unclear what exactly their shopping bags are. They should have baskets if people are getting several items. Some items lack prices on them. They should have more than one cash register open. A cashier was having issues with BOTH a cash register&a coffee machine, slowing things down considerably, and she looked like a new hire. Fivetown probably gets its name from the "five towns" of Napa, Yountville, Rutherford, St. Helena&Calistoga. A welcome addition. read more

I cannot say enough about this little Grocery store / Cafe, especially their super friendly staff Dawa. Since the lockdown happened, we haven't gone up to Napa as often, so it's been 3 months since we've been to Fivetown, and Dawa not only remembered our names, but also what coffee customization we liked!! And their coffee is GOOD!!!!! They also sometimes print a little picture on foam! And she especially loves seeing our little two year old girl, and remembered her by name as well! If not for the convenience of just being across the street from the Maritage where we always stay, we would still go there just for the coffee, special service, and the cool playground in front. read more
