Dos Botellas is situated inside a large shopping & business center. On my most recent visit to American Canyon, I had business to conduct nearby. When we were finished, this was one of the few places open mid-day on a Sunday. They seated us immedeitly; we opted to sit outside because the weather was very nice. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was fast and the pricing was very reasonable. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to swing by DOs Botellas! read more

Went to Dos Botellas with my family for dinner on a Sunday evening. We arrived around 7 p.m. (they close at 9). Parking was easy, and the restaurant itself is small but cozy. They also have a full bar with a TV, which seems like a nice spot if you're stopping by solo. We were seated by a friendly young man who brought us menus, chips, and salsa. The salsa was okay, but the chips were stale. My dad and I ordered the mojarra frita. The fish was crispy and well cooked, but the rice and beans were nothing memorable the rice tasted overcooked and lacked flavor, and the beans were bland. I noticed my dad barely touched his sides as well. My son had the Inferno Burger and had no complaints. My sister and mom ordered a Caesar salad with extra chicken and a soup, but were told there was only enough soup left for one serving, so they ended up sharing. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and we liked the cozy atmosphere. While the food didn't stand out this visit, I'd consider coming back earlier in the day when everything is a bit fresher to give it another try. read more

Dos Botellas does all the small things right. They use house-made chips, make wonderful margaritas, and treat you right. But most importantly, they donate often to Canyon Oaks Elementary - I would imagine they do the same for other schools as well. The newly added bar is excellent - they've got at least 7 beers on tap that I can count. They give you time to eat while also checking in on you enough to make sure you're taken care of. The setting is intimate, but not so tight you feel crammed - you feel seen. Being close to home and and a jewel in our community, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for well priced, homemade food with great drinks. read more

Honestly it's was my first time here and let's just say it was not good, ordered a burger and fries for the kids and 1 taco for my toddler. I had the shrimp à la Diabla... kids fry's were mixed with hot/colds ones they tasted like cardboard, even my 2 year old was spitting it out . The burger was a basic California burger it was nasty. The bun were drenched in butter and was difficult to eat. Shrimp was not spicy at all and tasted like water down chili, rice and beans were OK Also they are SUPER slow! They took forever to bring the food out I would say at least 1 hr, I did ask for an appetizer and it never came. The servers are really nice but it's just really slow, I asked for silverware and it never came I had to go up to the bar. My check also took forever ever to come. Numerous tables around were frustrated due to the wait. I would not come back. There is better Mexican restaurants out here. The servers were super nice I do have to say! I decided to try this place on a whim on a random weeknight. I was in dire need of some really fresh Mexican food and a good margarita. I've driven by this place many times I've read reviews and my family and I were eager to try it. It was a Friday night and the place was completely empty. That should have been my first clue but nonetheless, I wanted to give it a fair shot, the service was kind server was very nice and answered our questions so this is not a review against service. However, the food was just not OK. I was hoping since the place was empty that meant that we were gonna get fresh drinks and food because there was no wait and no excuse for anything to need to be reheated but that's kind of what we got. My children ordered a pork tamale and chicken strips. I ordered steak fajitas. My husband ordered enchiladas. Everything tasted as if it had been frozen and had to be reheated. Barley any flavor.Everything tasted like sauces and condiments were straight out of a can we all we're only able to take a few bites of our food before we just gave up and decided to ask for the bill. I was kind of shocked because I read so many good reviews, but the food was just not good. My fajitas tasted like they had been reheated from previously cooked meat my son's chicken tenders were rubbery and clearly frozen. I even ordered pineapple juice to chase with tequila, and the pineapple juice tasted like nothing but the can it came out of just pure metallic flavor. It's in a nice area and and is decent inside and could make for great ambience, but the food needs to be worked on heavily it was really disappointing and I was really upset that I wasted my money paying for food that I didn't even eat, but I just couldn't bring myself to complain or request for the items to be removed from my bill because we're just not like that. So we paid for our food but most of our stuff wasn't even touched because we just couldn't eat it. I hope that eventually they do better because the place has potential but it's going to repel people if the food doesn't get any better. read more

Been here in the past for a burrito and it was ok but I just had their Chile Verde and I really enjoyed that dish. My wife also said she would go back for the Fish Tacos. They serve alcohol which is a plus. Might have to go there for some food, a couple drinks and to watch a game. read more

Cute place and waitress was doing her best to serve four tables. We sent back our cold food enchiladas, watery refried beans, taco and rice to be remade. Enchiladas with minimal chicken were pretty with red sauce and sour cream sprinkled on top. Salad lettuce only and one cherry tomato was drenched in dressing. I am perplexed at why all the food is bland no spice but was told they do have some spicy sauce they can add upon request. I like Mole sauce. My gf likes prawns. The mole sauce was spectacular, and the prawns ranchero came with another sauce that was miraculous to taste. We got there at 4 pm Sunday and people were coming in when we left.. they claim they make the horchata and it was super.
