One of the best restaurants still in Vallejo. It's hard to find good Italian food, luckily Bambino's is still here. Everything here is great. The pizzas, pastas and salads are delicious. My kids love the Bambino's special pizza. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is dimly lit so its great for dates.

The food was delicious, and the bread served with garlic-infused butter was pure perfection. This is definitely one of the perks of dining in. We ordered the Cajun pasta and the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta--both were very good. The Caesar salad was especially impressive; the dressing is sooo good! By the time we finished, we were far too stuffed to even think about dessert. The bar did not disappoint either--the lemon drops were pucker-perfect! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. It's a bustling establishment, so while you can easily hear your table conversation, you may also catch a bit of chatter from nearby tables. The large wooden furniture gives the space a classic, old-school pizza parlor feel.

First time trying this restaurant. I enjoyed the foods we ate. Our order took a while to come out, but everything was flavorful & cooked fresh. We came during Sunday & it wasn't as busy. Overall enjoyed the food & would come back.

This place has karaoke during the week. Street parking, we came during lunch it wasn't crowded we were sat immediately. My favorite thing was the PIZZA!! Oh my it truly gives round table a run for their money. The one thing I will say is I'm not a fan of their margs. $28 for a Cadillac Margarita is excessive and it was limey.. anywho the poppers were good. It was my first time having poppers made with red peppers it was reallllly tasty! I recommend this place.

Such a great neighborhood gem! The food here is amazing. And I love that they have a full bar and delicious cocktails. We ordered the Bambino's Special pizza and it was delicious. Perfect amount of toppings, nice cheese pull, and the crust was doughy and crispy. The Fettuccini Fruiti di Mare and the Fettuccini Jambalaya are very similar but with slightly different flavors. The Eggplant Parmigiana was yummy and the eggplant wasn't too soggy and held its shape. The calamari and meatballs were perfect appetizers. I also love the complimentary bread and butter. When I went it was Margarita Mondays and they had $7 margaritas! The servers here are very nice and this place has this overall family goodness vibe going on. Definitely a great place to go for any occasion!

Came in on a Saturday night around 6:30pm, no reservation, waited just a few minutes to get a table for 5. Staff was friendly, our server checked on us often during the meal. We ordered the calamari and chicken tenders for appetizers. Both were good! Their bread is amazing! (I think it's homemade). We also got the gnocchi with pesto, rigatoni pasta with creamy bolognese and Italian sausage, carbonara rigatoni and the clam chowder in bread bowls. The gave big portions, you could share a pasta between 2 people. We also got the mango Italian sodas which was nice and sweet. The restaurant was kinda busy, no live music that night :( but they have tvs to watch sports on and they have a bar area. They also have a happy hr mon-Friday, 3-5pm I think. Overall, loved the food, will definitely be back!

Please note this is strictly for the bread pudding and the ambiance. I came in during Vallejo's restaurant week and this was the last place to cross off my list. I drove by Bambino's numerous times, heard so many great experiences but never once came in until recently. Who likes dessert? Because I personally can never end a day without something sweet and this bread pudding did not disappoint. And who does not like a little caramel sauce? This took the dessert from a 10 to a 100 in my books. The space is large, way larger than what you think it is. The dining room is split into sections, there is a bar, a stage area (which if anyone knows what they do - live music, open mic night, poetry slam, let me know), window seating, outdoor seating. This place was packed. I have to come back again to try their entrees but until then, take my word on the bread pudding.

BAMBINOS IS THE BEST. This place is like home. I absolutely love this place. I come here 5-10 times a month, and that alone says everything. The food is consistently amazing, the quality never drops, and the flavors are always on point. No matter what I order, it's always fresh and satisfying. The service is just as great -- welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. It feels like a spot that actually cares about its customers, which keeps me coming back again and again. This has become one of my go-to restaurants, and I recommend it to everyone. If you're thinking about trying it, do yourself a favor and go -- you'll understand why I keep coming back so often. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone I know as I have been doing! THANK you the bambino's team for being so awesome and welcoming, special shout out to Dee, Enrique, Adriane, Jr, Isabel, Luis, Albert, Kaylee, and of course everyone in the kitchen doing the lords work lol !

Came to Bambino's with some coworkers. Got a couple of drinks and food items off the appetizer portion. I really emotes the reindeer (drink), it was not too sweet nor too strong, a great blend, ordered it twice. My coworker ordered some pizza before I got there, it was good. Nice crust, I enjoy pineapples on pizza, would go back for the drinks and pizza. I ordered the sampler (I think that's the name), it came with sweet potato fries, buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks. I loved the wings! I liked the fries and could've done without the sticks, personally. The place was cool and pretty chill. The service was cool, but once it started to get busy, the service started to falter. Overall, I would go back

I was invited here by some friends and it was really nice. The place was spacious and fun and filled up as the night went on. We originally came for Happy Hour but chose drinks off the Seasonal menu. The food was good, we mainly got appetizers, such as Mozzarella Sticks, Wings and Buffalo Fries. My friends ordered a pizza and said it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Decided to sit at the bar since I was dining solo. Drew was great and super helpful, he always makes the visit worthwhile. My meal came out quickly, tasted fresh, and felt like it was made with care. The atmosphere is inviting, even if you're just stopping in for a quick drink. Happy hour is a solid deal if you can make it. Overall, highly recommend for Vallejo dining.

Vegetarian / Portobello Ravioli In A Creamy Marsala. Possibly the best I've had.
    Ron R.

*** Vegetarian Review *** So we actually had reservations for Zio Fraedo's Italian along the Vallejo Waterfront. Haven't been there in decades. We show up for our reservation and the parking lot is empty at 1:30pm. Felt like I was in a Seinfeld skit - taking and holding reservation ... holding is the most important part. We left and decided to drive through downtown Vallejo and noticed this cool little corner spot. It was 1:30 on a Sunday and there was still a decent gathering of patrons inside. So glad we parked. Staff is super-friendly. Greeted at the door - walked to our table. Offered suggestions because it was our first visit. They brought a plate of complimentary bread sticks and garlic butter to the table. Take that Olive Garden! The bread was hot to the touch and steamed when ripped apart - garlic butter easily melted. Now for the food. I've been back 4xs since that initial discovery, so I will include my favorites. Portobello Ravioli ($22.50, Grade A+) Freshly made ravioli in a creamy marsala sauce. Large portions. Big flavor on that marsala. I was happy I had those breadsticks to sop up all the extra sauce. I'd have to say this was one of the best pasta dishes I've had. So, since I enjoyed the ravioli so much, I decided to give the regular pasta noodles a chance with the same marsala sauce. Yup! So apparently you can pour their marsala over just a regular ole' noodle and it still pops. They need to slap a Bambino's Famous Marsala Sauce label on a bottle and sell it. Lunch Offering Only: Fried Eggplant Sandwich ($13.99, Grade A+) If a sandwich is all about the bread, then this is a winner. Freshly made Italian roll with generous slices of fried eggplant. I ask for the sauce on the side - keeps the eggplant crunchy and the bread less soggy. This comes with a side of pasta, salad, or soup. I ordered the vegetable minestrone - plenty of vegetables inside and a rich soup base. You can taste the oregano. I'd give the soup a solid-B. Next time I'll see if I can order a regular pasta with that soon-to-be-bottled marsala. I've tried the vegetarian pizza - I enjoyed it, but I'll stick with the dishes I mentioned above. Desserts / tried both the tiramisu and creme brulee. Enjoyed both and if someone ordered this for the table, I ain't too proud to beg for an extra spoon. Bottom line - the staff is super-friendly. What you would expect from a downtown joint. Kay and Andrew treat first-timers like regulars.

    Any vegan options?

Tons!! You just have to modify stuff.

Are they still open for delivery or take out?

I was across the street yesterday. I saw a sign saying they were doing take-out. Call them.

By any chance do they serve pizza by the slice?

I don't believe so, but they do an all you can eat pizza and salad for lunch. 11-3 under 10 dollars.

    Does anyone know their hours?

It was a very busy evening and extremely chaotic. There was a private event for a birthday in a separate room, the bar area, and another room where there was a jazz event going on where our party was located. We were 4 people from a party of 20. Because there were several guests already at the table we were opposite ends of the table. They managed to skip both our food and drink orders, 2 out of the 4 of us were seated the entire time and just blatantly ignored while the other 2 tried to find anyone who would take a drink order. The 2 waitresses tending to our area passed us several times even the couple times we tried to physically waive them down, and when they did briefly make eye contact a couple times, it was just a very quick smile as they immediately turned away to take care of something else. They skipped us when taking the food order (literally watched them take the food order of the other guests at our table and simply walk away without taking ours, and every time they passed by still wouldn't acknowledge us as they were clearly slammed and trying to deal with the massive crowd. While we waited at the bar after almost 2 hours of not being able to get a drink, we overheard multiple staff members voice how frustrated and overwhelmed they were. It's a shame because the menu looked good and the other guests were nice and the staff were cordial. I'm sure on a slow day it's great, but we ended up having to leave and go to Olive Garden because our elderly guest's blood sugar was beginning to drop and no one was trying to take her food order.

I still had to pick my kid up from school, so it just made sense to slide somewhere close by that never misses. Pulled up to Ristorante Pasta D'Oro -- this was my third visit -- and just like every other time, it delivered. Honestly, it might've been even better. We grabbed the regular spaghetti and split it between my two sons. Plenty of food, easily enough for two. I did ask about the spaghetti and meatballs since they usually run that as a special, but it wasn't available today. Still, the regular spaghetti held its own with no problem. I also picked up the mixed greens salad, and the vinaigrette is different in the best way. It's flavorful, balanced, and seriously one of the highlights. When I brought it home, my fiancée tried it and immediately said I should've asked for extra. I didn't realize it was going to be that good, but now I know. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing. We grabbed the penne pasta as well, which my fiancée said was great. And once my toddler finished his spaghetti, he went straight to helping her with the penne. That's how you know it's fire. On the side, I ordered the mozzarella sticks -- handmade, big, crispy, and cooked perfectly. I believe it came with about four to six, but they're large and filling. Everything was 10 out of 10. If I could give it a million out of a million, I would. Since I can't, it's a solid five out of five stars every time. Pasta D'Oro for the win.

Surprisingly good!…read more I haven't been to an Olive Garden in ages but after a recommendation, I came here. My partner and I shared a four cheese manicotti with marinara, the gnocci soup and the zuppa toscana soup along with the endless breadsticks. There were copious amounts of cheese with the option to add more for all the food and while the soups were thin, they're made fresh daily and taste exactly like their ingredients. The gnocci was soft and pliable and what I ended up focusing most on in the gnocci soup. the zuppa toscana tasted strongly of bacon ( i love bacon so that's a win for me) and had chunks of sliced potato in it. All the food leaned on the saltier side, with the manicotti tasting a bit sour due to the sauce but for the price and quantity, you truly cannot complain. Service is friendly and fast! The restaurant is well staffed and the ambiance is warm and inviting. My partner and I went on a Tuesday at 11 am to beat the lunch rush so we got seated quickly. As time went on though, the restaurant got filled up fast. Overall, this was a pretty pleasant experience! Do be cautious about the sodium intake and the breadsticks ( 140 kCal EACH.. but they're so tasty). Come visit this SPECIFIC Olive Garden with family to fill up on food and chat. Well staffed, quick service and surprisingly good food .

We were excited and tried a bunch of items. For appetizers, we got the samosas, riki kur, and Brussels sprouts. All were tasty, but the riki kur (pancake) was my favorite! As far as my main dish, I got the beef thali set. Super flavorful, and it was a delight to try something my tastebuds have never tried before! Also, Ming, the owner and chef, as well as his son, explained all of the different dishes to us. This was not just an amazing lunch, but we learned a bit about Nepalese culture as well! I'll definitely be back soon!

The high ceilings and custom Nepal decor really make the most out of their space, and the smell of incense was a lovely accent and put a bow on the overall vibe of the establishment. The gentleman who greeted us felt like the owner, taking great time to walk us through the simple yet authentic menu, explaining each item for us Nepalese newbies; he was hilarious us and so very attuned to each guest that he served. Onto the food, it was authentic, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, a true ambassador for Nepal! A trip around their culture was delivered to our table that day, thank you so much

Move out, Big Stein wants an eggplant calzone.... Must have one, everybody out!" -George Steinbrenner, Seinfeld The D'Alo Family has been feeding us since the 90's... Starting with Giuseppe & Rosa at La Spaghettata in Pinole to Angelo & Gerry at Tratorria La Siciliana on College Ave and Argodolce on Shattuck. Then Angelo's spot in Danville, Isola Osteria. Now enter Julia and The Sicilian. da Scene: Sometimes the universe just aligns... months ago we went to Crockett looking for BBQ and the joint was closed. Rick saw me peeking through the window and told me to come back in a few weeks for Italian. Fast forward and we show up Super Bowl Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find a familliar face in Julia, didn't know this was her joint! Beautiful space, high ceilings, family-style/community tables, furnishings were warm and welcoming. da Grub: Starting with a bottle of Nero and very familiar bread with olive oil and spices... nod to Rosa of course! 1st course was the Caponata & toasted rounds - FANTASTIC, hope they retail that along with the Olive oil. Pasta course went with the Penne Norma... yes more eggplant, and it was quite tasty! Did 2 Secondi plates, beef w/peas and pork w/ roasted potatoes... homey, rustic goodness. Finished with espresso and pistachio torta. da Service: Admittedly, we're biased. From Julia's sharp and real wit to her partner's down to earth presence (a local boy like myself from Oahu) you CAN go home again. Felt like having family dinner elevated but not pretentious. Dishes were paced well allowing us to enjoy, not rushed. Take a step into Crockett for a rustic, comfy experience... I hope to see some specials to keep things interesting. Cent'Anni!!
