    Lechon Bowl
    Darlene M.

Restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Food is good for the price. It's probably the best "Island style" restaurant in the Vallejo area at the moment. It looks like they stopped selling Hawaiian food which was good because their Kalua pork was just okay and the chicken long rice had no flavor. Most of the menu items now are Filipino, minus the loco moco-style dishes. Service was good. The food came out in a timely manner. The lechon bowl was good too. It had a nice blend of savory and pickles. I did not leave this place disappointed, although I've notice that they simplified their menu and no longer serve benedict dishes. Restaurant was clean for an old building. Still not a fan of the location.

This place is popular! Previously we tried coming here but the wait was simply too long. The designated parking lot is very small. On a rainy day we tried coming here around 11am and there was no wait! Service is very warm and friendly. We ordered fried chicken and ube waffle, the loco moco, and the steamed buns. I loved the fried chicken here. It tasted light (not heavy in oil or batter) but the chicken was moist. The ube waffle was a nice deep purple color. It didnt taste very strongly of ube to me but I still really liked it. The loco moco was very filling and the meat was soo tender. I can see why that's a favorite. The steamed bun were very soft. Unfortunately I didn't personally like the sauce the meat was in. It tasted a bit too strong like vinegar to me. But that's personal preference. Not pictured is the sunset mocktail. It was a very pretty drink with a mini umbrella. Very on point with the island theme. Glad we finally made it and I'll love to come back another time to try some of their other dishes.

Smelled restaurant located by motel 6. I parked behind the hotel and took the back entree. I wished they got a bigger sign because I couldn't find the restaurant. But regardless food was amazing. The ube pancakes were soft and delicious. Also got the fried chicken with gravy and two eggs. The gravy was buttery and delicious. Chicken was perfectly fried. My favorite was the crispy pork belly. The pork belly was not greasy. Perfectly crispy and was not fatty. You must stop by lunch and breakfast.

Great place for longsilog breakfast! Unfortunately they did not have it the day I went with my Mom, so I opted for the Loco Moco. It was delicious even though it wasn't your traditional beef patty but beef that was super tender! Staff is always friendly and welcoming! TIP - if you park in the parking lot, go around towards the street and the front door is along the side of the Motel 6.

Customer service was just as good as the food. Went on a Sunday and there was live music. People were dancing, laughing and having a good time. Fun and welcoming ambience. Pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was. Some of my family ended up going an hour after I posted it on Instagram and also loved the food. Highly recommend.

I went with my family with a large group and they were able to accommodate us very well. The waitress is very kind. I had the loco moco made with short ribs and it was delectable, the meat was falling off the bone and the gravy had great flavor. I only wish there was even more gravy and rice :). My partner had the longsilog and enjoyed it as well. I loved the tomato's on the side. We also had the beignets which came out so hot and were so delicious. The location is a bit weird but give it a shot. Great Filipino Hawaiian food with great service.

I love Asian fusion spots so I had to try this place since I was going to be in the area. This restaurant offers a Hawaiian Filipino menu. Everything sounded great. We enjoy chicken and waffles and pork belly so that's what we ordered. The chicken and waffles comes with an ube waffle and a slightly spicy maple syrup sauce. It was delicious. The crispy pork belly lechon was tender and flavorful with a crunch. It comes with steamed rice sprinkled with furikake and topped with an over easy egg. Runny yolks are fine but not raw egg whites. I carefully pushed it aside. The seaweed salad made the dish a little too fishy tasting as well. I like it in my poke bowls but not in this. I also bit into something bitter. I don't know what spices were in this but that also threw me off. Sometimes less is more. Presentation was beautiful though. Service was impeccable. We were constantly waited on and our server was so kind, warm and friendly. We enjoyed the guava mimosa and the fresh POG juice. I felt like I was at a local joint in the islands.

Looking for a homestyle Hawaiian/Filipino meal? Then look no further than Kehaulani's Café. Located on the Motel 6 property. When I walked inside, the ambiance of the "Aloha Spirit" was apparent with the island music in the air along with the pleasant greetings from the servers. The menu is expansive with traditional Filipino/Hawaiian dishes with a flair of new style techniques for a modern twist. My groups breakfast order was the Sizzling Sisig with egg, Da Loco Moco, Fried Chicken with Ube Waffles, and the Mini Malasadas. Da Loco Moco is not your typical burger patty but instead a braised short rib that is tender and flavorful. The gravy was not as salty as I am used to for my other gravies but still works none the less. The sisig comes out on a cast iron mini-skillet with all the sizzling aroma fanfare that is customary when in the Philippines. Despite not being made with pig jowl or face, the pork belly does a good job on holding on to the traditional spices and flavors that one would expect from a good sisig plate. Kehaulani's Café is a good reminder of how Hawaii/Filipino food should be done with a modern twist. The flavors and traditions of each dish are joyfully present but at the same time good enough for the modern palate to appreciate. Find your way to Kehaulani's Café and you'll also find yourself to island food done right.

Visited on a Sunday around 11:30am and seated right away in the small restaurant. For our first visit we were pleased with the service, the Ono food and no wait! Everything on the menu sounded amazing and our food pleasantly satisfied our hunger. I can't wait to try more items on the menu next visit! Parking was very limited and can only imagine difficulty parking if it was packed.

Food - Food was pretty good. We got the Da Loco Moco and the mini malasadas. The loco moca had good flavor but the meat was a bit dry. The chocolate sauce with the malasadas were declicious (but it didnt taste like authentic malasadas, tasted more like fried pancakes, still good though.) Service - Really friendly and fast. Ambiance - Nice cozy vibes. Clean with a lot of seating space. Very limited parking though.

    Chicken adobo rice omelette

Went on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance was fun with live karaoke and the service was good! But I've been to different filipino brunch places before and the food here was a little underwhelming. The chicken adobo rice omelette was decent, but the sauce made the whole thing a little mushy. However, my biggest gripe was their chicken and ube waffle because instead of fried chicken, I was given fried pork belly instead. I'm not sure what happened there, but definitely misleading. The waffle was okay but I didn't notice any strong ube flavor. It was a little expensive for two dishes & two drinks ($50 with tip). Their coffee was good though

Food is ok Service is great Ambiance is nice Not a fan of their style of the loco moco (pot roast) and the sigsig is just pork adobo. Portions are small, more like tapas. I would not come back again

Cute, small spot to grab some delicious Hawaiian & Filipino fusion food. Cute decor and good music playing to set the mood while you eat and hang out. First disappointment for our party was not knowing bottomless mimosas are with orange juice only- would be a good thing to add on to the menu. I had ordered the Kalamansi Highball, but after asking where the drink was a few minutes after everyone else had theirs, I was informed they could not find the juice. I was recommended the Mojito and I obliged, but was not a huge fan of the taste. The food was delicious, but we were expecting the guava butter with the warm sweet rolls. We got regular butter with our rolls and no explanation. While the Chicken Moco was yummy, I will definitely ask for a little extra gravy if I come back! Overall I would come back. Good food and good service, despite a couple hiccups!

There is a dedicated parking lot, tight but can hold a decent amount of cars. There is street parking as well, not metered - that is where I parked. The hostess was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in on us several times after ordering to notify of the food's ETA as well as refilling drinks and seeing if we needed anything. The dining area has approximately ten booths in total and became quite crowded around 12:30p. Our meals arrived at different times, items to eat meal arrived sparsely as well. We ordered around 11:30a, there were two other parties present. We were able to order based on our dietary needs/wants as the menu offered quite a diverse array. The crab omelette (known as The California Omelette on the menu) is 1/4 lb of fresh crab served either hot or cold enclosed in three eggs along with avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. For $26.35 the omelette left much to be desired, especially in flavor and seasoning. Nothing complimented or even enhanced the presence of the crab in any way. The remaining party at the table said they enjoy their meal - including a blueberry waffle, toast and eggs with bacon and a double cheeseburger with fries. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to gather, this cafe is certainly an option to consider. It was easy to speak and hear each other with ample privacy and not a lot of traffic - if any.
